Back in town and time for one more cache. Collected WP1 yesterday and down to WP2 and collected the info needed. Pity WP3 is no longer needed because a significant site. Headed to GZ and actually took two looks to find the cache - smaller than what I was expecting.TFTC Blatherskite (and Brad&Janet for maintaining)
We usually muck up some part of a Multi, and this one was no exception. Everything was going smoothly until we started searching for the cache at GZ. We found the location a bit unusual for a cache and only then realised, after rereading the cache page, that we had missed a waypoint.Once we corrected this, we headed to the right GZ and made a quick find. Thanks for a fun Multi Blatherskite, and to Brad&Janet for looking after this old cache.
Merging my accounts. Found this as Hoterini 29/12/12. Now tracking together with Ambers007 and merging the old finds.
Thanks for the Cache Blatherskite,As is often the indirect consequence of Geocaching, I had a delightful tour of the town of Mansfield.i parked the van by the Station, mounted the deadly treadly and headed off in search of adventure.I passed a huge market on the way, great pickings for those who care, but I had more important things to do. I passed some solar street lights which puzzled me. They were on the other side of the street from power poles? They could have placed the solar panel array in one location, injected the power into the grid, and placed the lamps on the power poles. Surplus power would benefit the community, no need to erect many independent poles and batteries, maintenance concentrated at one location. Maybe we are getting too smart to see the obvious.......Ahm.. let me step down off my soapbox for a minute Great adventure with a little history thrown in. Thanks.Regards from Victourer
I enjoyed this multi albeit that I still don't understand all the references in the cache. Why Blatherskite? Why those two people I did like them though, interesting history that is not usually recorded in such a way.We indeed had a man look and on a second look found a dry, well-stashed cache. Thanks Brad&Janet
Its Raining it's pouring their is no man snoring...Snips and Co was trying to do this cache as a drive-by, but we couldn't... the rain had got to our Geo senses as we initially couldn't find the cache. Snips went back after saying we had had a man look. Snips came up trumps after having a women's look.
We are visiting the area from South Gippsland for a few days of caching and exploring. This was an interesting multi that took us to several spots in Mansfield. We found GZ relatively quickly and all in good order. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC
A great multi, a short drive between stops on a long drive from Melbourne to Whitfield with CindyAus22. Looks like Mansfield was getting ready for a big event, sorry we missed it.
Spending the week skiing at Buller. Day off to complete some caches in the area
Enjoyed this multi.

Passing through on my way home after spending the day getting snow ready (skis instead of snowboarding this year). It was weird to see another geocacher had been here today too.

Found on Saturday of the first Kings Birthday long weekend.
The Queen is dead. Long live the King.
My childhood mates and I always got together on the June long weekend for our annual golf game somewhere different. [^]
Now, we all have partners and families but we kept up the tradition still going away all together even now as the youngest kids enter adulthood, but now we golf on Saturday and cache on Sunday.
This cache was found as my partner catnap777 and I made our way back to our communal weekend accomodation to meet up with the rest of the gang in Jamaison after a particularly bad game of golf in Mansfield.
TFTC Blatherskite. It was an honour to find and sign your very first hide returned as found in very good condition.

After spending a few days exploring the mountain ranges north of Mansfield it was time to get back home. With the current "find 100 caches in 1 month" souvenir challenge it was also time to start ramping up the caching finds! Heading south from the Edi Cutting campground I slowly made my way back to Melbourne on a gloriously sunny autumn day.
Strangely in the 10 years I have been visiting Mansfield and caching around here this cache was still undone. So yesterday I did the initial work visiting the required waypoints and then ended up in someone's front yard. Clearly not GZ. So this afternoon, back in Mansfield, I redid my calculations and headed to a more likely and pleasant GZ.
I did like the one tombstone I saw at the WP - "cruelly murdered by armed criminals". Just like the movie "Stringybark" it provides a little balanced perspective to the legend of Ned Kelly.
Thanks, Blatherskite and Brad&Janet.

Found as I slowly meandered my way from Adeleaide to Rutherglen for the Mega event over Easter.
I made an early start and took advantage of a beautiful day to target various caches of interest along the way, including this one.
The required information was collected, final coordinates calculated and cache found quickly at GZ.
Thanks Brad&Janet for the cache.

It was lovely to do this 17yo multi cache up here at Mansfield . For a first cache it does a great job and stands up well with the passage of time.
Of course it tells an important story too.
A nice find in a potentially muggle area.
All good.
A favourite point

After collecting the numbers, Muggle65 and l headed off to GZ. And yes indeed, it was a popular populated spot. Sometimes it is so hard to look casual finding a cache. Hopefully we pulled it off somewhat. Thank you for the fun
After collecting the information & doing the cal tee projected a GZ in the busiest part of town. So we went about being as subtle & stealthy as we found in searching, finding & signing the log.

"Mansfield High Country Festival" featuring - live music, art & craft exhibitions, horse racing, markets, fireworks and much more, including of course geocaching! We postponed this one yesterday due to persistent rain. Today this multi really complemented the community activities of the festival. A F.P. for this golden oldie - 16 years on the gameboard!
Thanks to Blatherskite for creating this interesting multi cache.

Found with Kittykatch, Joolay, Youban and Tankengine while in the area caching for the weekend.
We were lucky with the weather having the worse already pass us, but some roads were still closed from the flooding.
This cache: Found with the permission of the CO and replaced on their behalf.
Nice multi and we got stuck for a long time at the first WP as we were so busy checking out the museum first. What a great place. Hope you get better soon Blatherskite. Tftc!!!

Chooo ooo [Found] with dty73 Kittykatch Joolay and youban! - (with permission) Nice find here! Thanks Blatherskite!
Did the sums and got to GZ but searched and searched to no avail. Seems to be missing but replaced with permission of CO.
Wonderful to be visiting the area with Dty73, Youban, Tankengine and Kittykatch. The rally was canceled because of the floods but already had the accommodation booked and paid for so came anyway. Glad the rain has stopped and the sun is out.
Thanks for getting me out and about Blatherskite

Out with echidna44. Took us a while to gather all the clues, as it was raining and we all had wet feet. A great multi that taught us a little about the history of Mansfield! Logged with permission of cache owner. Thanks Blatherskite!
Out with pinnacle333 in Mansfield, we decided to do this multi in the rain. All went well except we had very wet muddy feet as we walked and gathered the clues required. A very informative multi, and well designed. Logged with permission of CO. Thanks Blatherskite.
Great day for a stroll in the sunshine. Have driven past here many times and never visited. TFTC
Thanks to my geohubby for an awesome weekend.. thanks for the hide. Its been a great weekend in Mansfield
Our first multi for the day found us with a very wet container. As it’s an oldie we replaced everything including the replacement log for one that fits the new container.
Thanks Blatherskite for the placement.

Quick easy find on a weekend exploring Mansfield /Jameson / Woods point area, a favorite spot for us, and a great chance to tick off the few remaining cache we had missed out on previously as we had put them in the to hard basket.

found it with silence49 - dad! and miss 11 - swilksy68 log is wet, needs to be replaced!
Loved the mini Mansfield tour - and at high hopes for a successful find. Searched at length, expanding search area a little based on other logs but still no joy unfortunately. The last find was a couple of months ago - many a spring gardening sacrifice? Not sure but will return when passing through again if another successful find is logged! Thanks for the effort in creating such a charming multi
A message from the CO was enough to remind us we picked this one up on our way through Mansfield in 2021. The same day we grabbed the last webcam left for us in Australia. We really need to be more efficient at keeping up to date with our logs.

With the rumour of a potentially new LGA challenge coming out I had only found 1 whole cache in this LGA zone so today we went for a drive to rectify that problem and mainly spent time parking near the rail trail and finding the rail trail caches like. We finished the area with a nice 4WD adventure into that big hill just sitting there.
After gathering some clues and a short tour around town, luckily GZ was deserted so a nice quick find was made and a pleased Fleabag signed the log for us ticking off one that he sees every year that he is here for his sporting events but has never had time to do.
Thanks Blatherskite for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

That was a great little adventure. Particularly good because we were on our way home from Stringbark Creek. The log is a little damp and may not survive winter. Thanks for the cache.
After visiting the information centre in Mansfield and seeing the creative felt mural, we started this cache.
A few little hiccups occurred at one of the waypoints as I went to the wrong spot and started with incorrect numbers- luckily RoamingHowie pointed this out and we were soon on our way.
The cache was in a nice spot that an afternoon could be spent relaxing.
Well done Blatherskite on your cache.

An informative history lesson around Mansfield, a well structured multi, took a bit longer at GZ to make the find and battle some eight legged cache protectors, TFTC
After a pleasant stroll at both waypoints we headed to GZ and searched, and searched and searched but alas no luck here today ️ we will be back
I realised that I had started this multi a few years ago during my last visit to Mansfield when I went to fire up the app and saw I had already inputted data for WP2. Well this time I was on my own and able to work my way through the different WPs. There was one moment when I thought I might have to abandon the search, but it turned out I was able to get the information needed. It ended up being a quick find at GZ, which was luckily quite quiet. TFTC Blatherskite.

Team OZCAT thought this cache was a beauty! The information was clear and concise and enjoyable to gather. The icing on the cake was when we found a Tassie Devil Pathtag. Thanks to the owner for that one, and thanks to the CO for placing this cache. Got a fave from team OZCAT
I concur with my partners comments regarding this cache. Yes, the path tag was a joy for her. Team OZCAT thanks all concerned with this cache. Oh yes..... FAV
Found with frmen1 over a day. We gathered the info at WP1, and then spent the day wandering around the area. After dinner, we went to other WPs and marvelled at the history. Gz had us going in circles until frmen1 checked where I'd already looked (oh dear). Thanks for the mini tour of Mansfield. Fav pt given TFTC
Worked out and found with tassie expat. This took us a while. We were undecided about a couple of the numbers involved, but one seemed more likely than the other. Then it took us a while at gz. After circling and rechecking gz, there it was, tucked away safely. Thanks for placing this cache.
Thanks for the history lessons about the local area. Easy find once you solved the puzzles.
In Benalla for a few days and today we are heading out to Mansfield as it is a place I have never visited.
Thanks so much to all the COs who placed and maintain their caches in this area for us to enjoy finding.

We're in Mansfield on our way to Melbourne (and then Tasmania) via roads less travelled. Luckily, we're here for 2 nights, otherwise I would not have been able to finish off this multi that I started upon our arrival in town yesterday.
This morning I visited WP2 and WP3 before breakfast (hence no problems with muggles). Then this afternoon, after doing a few touristy things around town, I made my way to GZ where I found the cache in the most likely place there.
I was surprised to see when I signed the logbook that I was the first to do so for 6 months ... a shame that the cache is not done more often as it is a pretty good one. Yes, it does require a bit of running around town, but the waypoints are in places that are worth a visit and the 'puzzle' bits are straightforward. I'm awarding it a fave point (something I don't do often) to encourage more visits.
Thanks for placing this multi Blatherskite and for taking me on an interesting tour of town.

After gathering the interesting information, we were lead directly to the well hidden cache. We hope this is the current one, as the previous log was from many years ago! Thanks Blatherskite for keeping this one available to find.
As I was passing through on my way to Mt Buller I stopped at the waypoints and got what was required, a great area at WP2 very interesting.
Got a set of coords but as I approached GZ it seemed every man and women decided that it was the right time to take their four legged friends out for a walk.
I will try again another day.

Can you please replace the cache container and hide it well
Can you please replace the cache container and hide it well
I have checked on the status of the cache today following up on recent DNF’s to find that it has been “muggled” yet again! (4th time!)
I have therefore had the opportunity to replace it with another container in a nearby location and will do the calculations so that you can find it tomorrow.
Hopefully it will remain in place for many years to come......

This is the second time I have attempted this. Co-ords had me in the middle of the grass and despite explanding the search, all I came up with was an empty wine bottle and bag of doggy doo. The cold wind was howling and I wasn't going to spend anymore time, poking about for not sure it were it was suppose to be. I will be back again, and might have to recheck all my numbers.
Thanks anyway

I had started this multi while I was on my way home from last years Buller Getaway event but as I had to go the wrong way to continue I decided to leave it until I returned.
One year on and once again I was heading home from another Buller Getawy event but this time I was able to complete the steps and find my way to GZ and after a short search the cache was found and my name was added to the log.

After caching at Mt Buller about 3 weeks prior and not being able to get to a new multi cache due to Harry being bogged in snow , a couple of work colleagues had agreed to come out with me and see what this geocaching thing was all about [^] Sadly 1 cancelled at the last minute due to an injury however I think that she was probably grateful that she didn't have to undertake the 6km walk that was required to get to the cache [xx(]
7 caches found for the day, a thundery rain storm endured and some gorgeous scenery made better by rainbows, raindrops and clouds [^]
After my colleague and friend left in her car, I grabbed a few caches on my own on my way back to Shepparton.
This multi had been tormenting me for about 3 years and so i was very pleased today to actually be able to get in to GZ and to make the find after having started this way back then!
Thanks so much for showing me the Devil's River area and history! [^]

No luck here again today. After a previous look and all the DNF's, it needs a check from CO.
After double checking my coordinates, I returned and expanded my search.
Too good for me today...

A quick and easy multi as we cache our way through the area today. We unknowingly drove past gz for this cache as we came into town, then we had lunch very close to it. We drove past it twice, out and back, picking up a local trad. We then set off to get the final coords and had a good chuckle at how we had driven past our destination so many times. We picked up a TB while we were there and dropped off another. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
This took a few attempts as we kept losing the answers.
Tha is for the cache and taking us to waypoint 2 & 3 as I have wanted to visit them for a while. We were able to find the third grave nearby.
The final coords were a fair bit off but a quick scan and I spotted our target.

Finally we did it.
We have tried a few times. We would get the first answers and wrote them down somewhere with the intention of doing the rest another day. Then we lost the answers so back to the start again. It only took three goes.
Today we had the first lot of answers and the time to do the whole lot. Thanks for taking me to these places.

We have tried a few times. We would get the first answers and wrote them down somewhere with the intention of doing the rest another day. Then we lost the answers so back to the start again. It only took three goes.

I've had this one completed for three years now, the coords sitting there waiting for the stars to align again so I could come and collect! I really enjoyed the stages of this multi, very educational and I still remember the details three years doable the track. Finally today we were back in the area, now with two toddlers in tow, and there were no crowds of muggles at gz. Had a great run across the park with the 2 year old to find the treasure. Thanks so much for the cache!
Suscoe had a big day today heading off bright and early to get around here to start the day at this cache, Over 100 kilometres to find the first one and then we found caches one by one on the way back to Eildon.
It was a delightful day, lots of fog early and then a sunny and mild day emerged.
Thanks to Blatherskite for this interesting mutli.
We were impressed with the locations and what we found out about.
What a beaut GZ area too.

As we were planning a trip back to the snow we realised that somehow we missed logging this cache almost two years ago! It was an interesting and memorable cache.
