Well we dropped in and had a look for this. Found the spot we thought but no luck. Searched further a field, car stops in the car park looking at us so we wait. The muggle approached, it was the owner. Confirmed cache gone. Was good to catch up with The Morris and have a chat and a bit more of a chat and then a little more of a chat before we got back to the job at hand, caching. Anyway she suggested we try a puzzle cache of hers "Gary" it was worth it.
thanks The Morris.
thanks The Morris.
A check today found 2 unsuccessful cachers and no cache. Its time for this one to go - maybe the million dollar renovations that have been announced at least 3 times will provide another opportunity for a hide here. So long and thanks for all the finds.
My 91st total find.
Insteresting that this one is still disabled as the area has not been disturbed and neither has the cache.

Found easily. Kids had fun climbing the big tree. Hanseeksa and I checked out the local wildlife muggles they didn't want to say hello or dance.

Hope you didn't mind but after reading Romax's comments;
We were visiting the area and noted that GZ looked safe and untouched so we searched for the cache with success.

Dropped in on Skippy today and the area was just as we remembered it from our last visit. Only council work was well in the distance and appeared relatively minor. Container was safely in its niche!
We actually found this one in its old location maybe 2 years ago but never logged it. Maybe it is somewhere amongst the log book. We went back to find it in its new location so we could log it with a date but the entire area is undergoing major works and the area with the cache is not accessible to the public.
Skippy's days have been numbered for some time - the council is intending to do some major work in the gardens. We are highly likely to archive Skippy this time.
Finally found this one. Have been here few times before, but haven't been able to locate it. Nice and quiet in the park today. Signed log. Thanks for the cache.
Fascinating bridge near to a quickly found cache thanks to good co ordinates. TNLN TFTC

Another clever hide from The Morris. I reckon it was only a previous finder's log that got us over the line here. Found at aprox 9.30pm. And if you know the young couple watching the stars that we accidently shone the torch on, please offer our humblest apologies. Thanks again The Morris FTC , TNLNSL
4stubbies went with Kinny Kritter but couldnt find it. there is a lot of work going on here so perhaps has been moved?

Not only found it but fixed broken nearby plumbing while we were at it. Didn't realize how handy I was till now. Needs a new log sheet.
Lots of skippy's mates here today, watching over the cache. A great spot to sit and relax after a days bike riding. Thanks for the cache. TNLN

Thank goodness for a GPS or this one would continue to remian unfound by us. Would have been a difficult one to retrieve if muggles had been present.< one advantage of evenings on a cool night. Great hide. TFTC
Decided to revisit this one now we have a gps and found it within 5 minutes with Team Boofa. Would be pretty difficult with muggles around but luckily we were the only ones there tonight. SL. TFTC.

With muggles in the area Bewilderbeest, Little Buds and I weren't able to conduct a thorough search and unfortunately had to leave empty handed. Maybe next time.
We found our 26th Morris cache at 10:05am as the 1st of 24 on Day 3 of our "Where'd Bendy Go?" long weekend. We first had a crack at this one yesterday afternoon but a heap of muggle kids at the GZ attraction meant that a search was impossible. After cleaning up all the northern caches, we came back yesterday evening about 15 minutes before sunset only to find the "Gates locked at Sunset" gates - locked. Not to be undeterred, we drove back out here for one more crack this morning.
The gates are open - check.
The place is muggle free - check.
The cache is missing - check. Damn.
We found the mountings for the cache but no cache so we left a replacement and received permission to log from The Morris later in the day. "What's that Skip? You took the cache? Bad Skippy. Bad Skippy. Thanks for the cache from D, H & A B-A.

DNF 200809151105 . I'd DNFed this cache 19 months ago when it had been abducted by persons unknown and was keen to find it today. Alas, due to an infestation of muggles at GZ I didn't have the opportunity for anything more than a walk past the place the GPSr was indicating the cache to be
Great park, but we failed to find the cache. I strongly suspect it's gone as reported by the previous cachers.
Thanks The Morris, we enjoyed the park anyway.
(PS I've a photo of what I think was the cache hide if you'd like to see it.)

After finding Peppercorn Place, it was time to tackle one of its neighbours! Despite being a weekend, muggles were thin on the ground, making the search much easier.
Alas, although I am sure that I found the hide, the cache was not to be found. There was evidence of muggle activity nearby, so I suspect this one may have gone missing (or suffered a bit of cache creep).
Thanks for bringing me back here anyaway The Morris, I have vague memories of visiting this location back in my childhood.

GZ was pretty obvious but a few muggles made it harder to get to, however manged to retrieve without further ado. TNLN, Thanks

Found with Nell & Karen. This park has a significant childhood memory for me. Even to this day every time Mum goes past this park with me she reminds me of the time that I thought I was being abandoned as Dad drove our car around to pick me up on the other side of the playground I had to run after them, my vision blinded by tears afraid I would be spending the rest of my life living there. A horrifying thought for a 4 year old not much chance of this repeating today as I held the car keys from my other two passengers. A tricky little hide which I did enjoy. Thanks the Morris. TLNLSL.
Mr Phetlern found this one in the company of his second son, who thinks his parents are hooked on something. Are they?
The birds were a bit elusive late in the day and they reported GZ as being a long way from any possible hide.
Abandon the technology and look in the obvious place and there it is.
No muggles anywhere in sight -far too cold and windy. Only geosuckers are out in that wind!

New to the game and claimed my first find. To think of how many times i have been there over the years and never thought of looking there.
Had to make 2 trips as the only muggles in the park were at GZ. When the chance arose I had to be quick. A tricky little cache.
We are not going to say too much about this cache because we do not want to give anything away, however it is particularly fiendish hide. You may have to resort to a certain amount of mime or playacting in order to secure this one.

Found by Peter & Marian, first for today 12/23 of our Bendigo trip, got to GZ and looked in all likely places but not hard enough, phone a friend gave us a big hint and the cache was in hand. Thanks for the Cache The Morris, and Romax for the hint.
We all arrived at GZ walked around and ponded the situation. Then managed to locate the well hidden cache.

Our second cache of the day with Mr Coffee, Mystery Inc and Minicacher one. The cache has been relocated since our last visit to this lovely little park, so not only was it our second cache for the day but our second time finding it as well. We were not surprised when it took a while to locate the cache but were very pleased when we did.
Again Mrs Coffee came up with the goods in a place that Mr Crackers had thought he had searched
Did not have swaps with us, for some reason we thought it was a micro

Having more than a passing interest in Skippy we felt obliged to pay him/her another visit and record our presence in the log book.
This is invariably a busy place and this morning was no exception with 3 families of mothers and their progeny enjoying a morning get together overlooking GZ. However we are getting very adept at improvising and disguising our intentions at this venue and we are sure our visit raised no more than an eyebrow, if even that.
Keep persevering with this one Team Morris, as this facility is a lovely place and well worth a geo visit.

I remember this site back in th 70's and 80'. You could drive your car under the arch and inside. There was a lot more wildlife to see. Monkeys, Emus, Dingoes etc. Drought is obviously having a large impact.

Half a dozen hot and bored Cockies were waiting near the first waypoint, just watching who would come by next. They didn't give out any clues, but they were not needed as we could see the cache from their cage (as Chewin' said we did a better job of hiding it when we had finished).
Thanks for bringing us to this park, Robmc.

The cache was visible almost from waypoint one so it's a wonder it was still there. Hidden a bit better now.
Thanks indeed.

We had to have a couple of attempts at this one during the day as the park was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. Went back later when things were a bit quieter. Nice spot for a cache, we have been here before (pre GPS) as friends live not too far away. Magnificent trees. TFTC The Morris.

6th of 6 finds for the day. 6pm.
This one had me wandering everywhere!!!
If I had only looked a LITTLE bit harder in the FIRST PLACE I LOOKED, I wouldn't have wandered all over about a 25 metre square area. Decided that where I ended up was foul of the set area, I decided to have another crack and BINGO!!!
Nice area, by the way, my GeoLochie really loved the play ground (he says it Paygum)
Thanks Morris, the standards certainly high in Bendigo!!!

Got to required location on Saturday morning on our Bendigo assault weekend with Alansee, where we found all but 3 caches within a 10km radius of the city. After the maths work at the memorial,we soon were at GZ and located the booty in its clever hide.Nice multi in a very pleasant park and picnic area. Thanks to The Morris.

3 in one day, well in a couple of spare hours. That's pretty good for me. I found the cache reasonably easily, and while signing the log book, some respectable muggles inquired as to what I was doing. So I explained the geocaching concept. They were impressed. The integrity of the cache was preserved. TNLN, TFTC.

Fifteenth of twenty-four finds in company with Dak Emu on our third "clean up Bendigo" day. This was a case of third time lucky, we had found our selves locked out on previous occasions and I was glad to find several gates open today. With the numbers collected we set off to GZ this is where the wheels fell off both our gps’s told us to keep going another 35. Once we arrived at GZ we set about searching, we failed to spot the cache on our first look. Thanks To the Morris for the cache.
Sixteenth of twenty-four finds in company with acts2youthgroup on our third "clean up Bendigo" day. The rain had finally eased off, so we had a more pleasant time finding this one. We've visited Bendigo a couple of times, but this park has always been closed, so this time we were determined to log it early in the piece. Gathering the numbers was the easy part. Then both of our GPSRs pointed us 35m away from where we ultimately found the cache. We spent a fair bit of time searching around, and then the GPSRs pointed back to a more likely place. The rain and clouds had been wreaking havoc on GPS accuracy all day. We found the cache eventually at 1640 in a place that we had checked previously, but obviously not checked carefully enough. Thanks to The Morris for the cache.

We were glad to see this cache become available again in a somewhat new reincarnation, so we thought it our duty to find it again and have our name represented in the new log book. These gardens are such a great place for families, particularly those with children.
However Max does remember one event that caused a ripple within the nearby company he worked with then. A visiting VIP, who brought his family to Bendigo with him, sent his wife and child to the gardens, (at Max’s suggestion), while he carried out his negotiations. Those days, in addition to the Kangaroos and Bird life there were Monkeys.
This child immediately put his finger into the cage and a Monkey promptly decapitated it. Perhaps that is one reason there are no longer Monkeys present.
As well as the animals and birds, this place is populated with inquisitive muggles, as the cache history confirms, but we are confident The Morris will remain one step ahead of them.
Thanks again from,
Romax.

Spent quite some time on this one as due to trees GPS sent me all over the place, eventually found WP2 though it wasn't where the GPS said it should be, only to find that what looked like GZ but produced no goodies, could be missing.
Well, you cant really get ths at night...
So the next we went for walk and found it pretty quickly.

No luck here. Something about Bendigo caches just seems to be much harder than the average. I found the first waypoint OK, but the cache, or possible container containing the coordinates (the description's not too clear) eluded me.
Made our way to this cache while heading into Bendigo. Found the cairn and was soon on the way to WP2. A quick find here and we were off again. Near GZ GPSr was all over the place. After it finally settled down we began to search the likely spot to no avail.
In the past it appears we may have had 2 choices of where to look but it appears one option has recently been removed .
Thanks anyway the Morris for taking us to another nice location all the same.
