Beautiful Melbourne Cup day. Thought we would escape crowds heading to Peninsula and visit this pretty place
Went to the wrong Gum Tree a couple of times, but found it after some nearby searching
A quick dash out of work for a short stroll and a cache. No muggles around so took my time. Do miss the submarine view from the carpark! TFTC and the series. Although I forgot to get the clue so will have to revisit - Doh!
Quick and easy find minus the spidey website container needs some love as it's letting a lot of moisture in, and there are lots of wet/destroyed contents. Got 2 trackables from misadventure3 and just have to figure out how to claim them on the app!
Out with Geo sun lovely didn’t walk into the bushes logbooks very very wet face of tree equals nine 5 o’clock
Out on a beautiful day caching with xambo4u
Cashe container safe and secure. However the logbook and clue is very waterlogged.

Finally, a day organised just for caching with day1976, originally had been planning Narbethong unloved but the constant rain would have been awful for bush bashing and for my little 4wd.
So picked a different direction, which the weather forecast said no rain, and the rain tapered off as we arrived.
After doing a series of caches that took 4hrs and 15km of walking, some drive bys were necessary.
Followed the trail and found the cache

While doing the nearby multi, we wandered up here and made the find after a little bush bashing.

Upon arriving at GZ, I spied a geo trail, and as you do, I followed it in, hoping for the best. Cache was soon located. Another Golden oldie cache found.
Due to unforeseen circumstances Mr Smokey Bear will no longer be a part of Team Smokey Bear and will continue his adventures as "SmokeyBearOG".
So I'm relogging all previous finds under my new account.
Unfortunately this log will not show the original logging date.
**Thanks to DumberThanRocks for this adventure, looking forward to many more.**

We managed to find two of these today. We found one a very long time ago and somehow I doubt that we knew to collect the clue. Oh well, we will find out once we have found them all. Thank you for hiding this cache and maintaining it for so long.
I think that this might have been the quickest find for the day. Thanks for placing this cache for us to find.
A day out starting at a 60th Birthday Community Celebration event in Mordialloc.
(Great to see you there.)
Followed up with some visits to family and friends in Rosebud.
Some epic caches out at Gunnamatta.
A DNL (Did Not Look) at the cricket match.
Finally we are heading towards home.
We picked up a couple of "Welcome To" caches and some fish and chips in Balnarring.
Next stop, here. Nice and secluded today.
Low tide probably helped there.
Wandered over to "Woolley's Cool Store" to collect the needed information before heading off up the beach to this one.
A phone call from my Cousin in WA distracted me here but I soon located the cache.
All in good order. Thanks "piglet* (adopted by DumberThanRocks)"

The a last cache for the day on a beautiful winters day a quick stroll to the GZ along a nice path had the cache and clue in hand thanks for placing it
A quick find with frmen1 after our brunch stop. A great spot....we got to see a submarine, a couple picnicking with their cat and dog (wonder why there were no seagulls bothering them? lol) and a person walking the smile-iest dog ever. Contents in good condition. TFTC
Piglet's Peninsula Puzzler- 5'o'clock was transferred from BorisB&Natasha to user DumberThanRocks
A bit of bush bashing but cache in a reasonably obvious spot if you follow the hint.
Found with the geokids (including piggypie) of Piglet who first placed this. TFTC
We had the perfect day today to grab a couple of local caches that we have avoided due to bush bashing is a bit difficult during the hotter months.
But today we managed to dodge the muggles and find the cache with no troubles.

Finished work early in the Crib Point area and decided to grab some caches. Nice easy find. TFTC
After finishing work I had 2 hours spare before kid pick up duties. I hadn't decided what I wanted to do yet, but while chatting with another cacyers, we hit apon the topic of the Piglet's Peninsula Puzzlers. Checking my notes, I was close to solving it. As such number 5 and the nearby multi was targeted.
Parked at the suggested parking location in the last available spot. Looks like an after work party is going on. But they were just far enough away not to disturb me.
Found this one first at 4 pm after following the small geotrail from the path. All good with this geocache.
Thanks for the cache Boris B, Natasha and piglet*

Trying to pick up the remaining few in this series that I have yet to find. Very glad to have applied insect repellent upon leaving the car. We actually strolled over here in between doing the multi nearby. I couldn't work out which side of the trail this was on but after seeing a very obvious geo trail, I arrived at GZ after a short walk through the brush. The cache was spotted quickly and seemed in reasonable condition. Very glad it was not a real spider inside. Then off to look for the multi. Two left to find now, though ironically I already have the complete clues for the final.
Thanks to the CO's for keeping this series going.

Had a lot of fun with the kids and the dog looking for this one, perhaps too much fun as we didn’t find the cache
Easy as find after tiny bit of going bush (10m) on a wet morning. Found at 13:48pm
*2 Jan 2020, Found @10:37 am, Find # 3577.*
A bit of a bush bash in here today. It might have been a good idea to wear longer pants. We found a much easier way out. The log book was showing signs of wear and tear. We put it in a new ziplock bag.

Had to go down to Crib Point to pick up a Lego purchase. Couldn’t resist to find some caches whilst we were down here. With hubby at work I had all 3 geo kids in tow and we also invited Jascat to join us which she did.
Arriving in the carpark we initially thought that we could continue on to GZ along the path in the car but it was blocked off and the rest of the journey would have to be completed on foot.
We reached an area where there appeared some bush bashing would be involved. Geo kid 1 and 3 were not having any of it so remained on the path whilst the rest of us squeezed our way into GZ past all the scratchy bushes and scrub.
At GZ a quick find was made. Clues collected.
Cache container in good condition. The log book was a little damp so we added a plastic bag to offer it a little more protection.
It was then that we spotted a much easier way out which we could have come in from too. Always they way isn’t it.
Back near the car I spotted a tree with some lovely purple flowers in bloom.
Thank you for the cache here BorisB&Natasha (Adopted from piglet*).

Awesome cache! Took my young fella with me for the first time. I don't think he's old enough to understand yet. But he enjoyed the walk, and got a new toy!
The rains just starting to set in. The beach has changed a fair bit since I was here last. There used to be a lot more sand. Thanks for the hide
A quick dash from the car between rain showers to get this one today. An easy enough find and another in this series ticked off.

We visited the submarine and thought I’d grab a cache while we were here. Was hesitant to bush bash until we found the tracks from geocachers who came before us. TFTC
Making a spur of the moment decision this morning we headed down towards Western Port Bay to tackle the local Letterbox Hybrids and some multi's in the company of beckNmonts.
After finishing the nearby multi we made a quick detour to find this Piglet cache as we knew we would be needing the clue in the not to distant future.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha for keeping this series alive.

As we knew we were going to pick up a few of the Piglet caches today, we decided to grab this trad as well, while we were here. A quick find was made, and clue recorded. Thanks for hiding this series BorisB&Natasha
