We're seasoned cachers but we searched for 40mins x 5 sets of eyes but we had to DNF this unfortunately.
This cache hasn't been found for quite some time and the CO hasn't accessed the Groundspeak site since 2013 so we figure they aren't active any longer.
Could a reviewer please temporarily disable the cache pending a response from the cache owner?

We practically re-engineered the structure under the pavement and are pretty sure the cache has gone missing.
Could the cache owner please check?

Ron was easier to find than anticipated, logging though, was more difficult. Firstly, because of the constant come and go of muggles and secondly because the log is all wet and falling apart. The place nevertheless is definitly worth all the effort. Thank you for bringing me here. Tftc & greetings from Austria
Together with Silli1310, we went on holiday for a year. After travelling South America for three months, we went to New Zealand for another two months and then to Tasmania. After exploring the island for three weeks, we continued along the east coast to Darwin. We started our road trip in Melbourne and continued through the Alps to Canberra. After spending the last few days in the Blue Mountains, we slowly headed north. We arrived in Newcastle this morning. Our guide recommended a stop in the city and so we did an extensive city walk and of course a short swim in the Pacific. The Nobby lighthouse was recommended to us, so we planned our sightseeing route accordingly. On the way to the lighthouse, we passed the box almost directly, so we searched for it briefly and finally signed the logbook. Thank you for the cache.
On our [trip around the world](http://www.hoppundweg.piekar.de/) we came to Australia as well. We started in Tasmania, rented a campervan in Melbourne and went up the Eastcoast to Cairns. Then we drove all the way to the Red Centre. We finished in Darwin. We searched many caches and found almost every cache we searched for . Thanks to all the owners of these caches. Now, 2 years later, we recognized, we will never be able to log every cache seperately... So: Sorry for this standard logtext and thanks for one of the caches, which accompanied us on our journey.
On a nice sunset I found is box.
Took out a old wet logbook and could hardly write in the other.
Thanks

What a beautiful day for caching! Nice spot for it. Found this with only a little bit of searching. Lots of muggles around but didn't even notice me. SL. TFTC.

Love that this cache is where it is, to show travelling cachers just how beautiful Newcastle is.

#1481 - B found with assistance from M and muggle Jim. Move a few corks and there it was. Niceweather for a walk out here today.
Found a block with 'Ro' on a block but no cache. Taking more time to find might be worth it
Found cache. trashed and completely away from its coordinates. Had a good look around but No sign of any tb's. Sad as we had hoped to take these back to new zealand lighthouses . Put the cache back together again and under pavement near ron.
Woo hoo..finally found our first cache !..maybe best to try looking through the "eye of a bolt" as ron is more like ro now ! note pad is soggy left a badge..TFTC

A great spring day to walk up the Nobby
After Marc and Nora I found Ron's lication, that was the easy part.
It took me ages to get to the cache as many muggles were using this day for their work out,... Alas waited about 45 min, but it was worth it

A Fathers Day find! We made it much more difficult that we should have, as we climbed right down to the bottom if the rocks. Got there in the end. The log is saturated and needs replacing, as the names are starting to disappear.

Good old Ron, he is a legend.
Legends don't have to be explained.
We did find the cache and are surprised that it can survive the obvious pounding the point must receive. Getting on to dusk so the trip back was a bit dark. The lights looked good up the river.
This is a popular spot.

A great afternoon touring and caching by bike with GrubFred and Robbieracer66...enjoyed the ride out to the end for this cache, a cargo ship escorted out by two tugs passed us at gz, now there's something we haven't seen whilst signing a log before!....tftc Roanish
TFTC!! No sign of Ron but only took a little searching to find on this beautiful day =)
TFTC Beautiful location. We were going to show some muggles about caching but the weather turned them off. Rain or no rain we tackled this lovely walk down the break wall. The wind nearly lifted us off our feet but just as we found the cache the rain stopped and out came a rainbow (see photo). Grabbed a TB Eine Hand but no other trackables are present, left a coin from Maitland Gaol. The view was spectacular when the sun came out and the walk is great exercise.
Nice walk along the seafront at Newcastle. Picked this up at the end of the breakwater. TFTC.
Dropped the Eine Hand TB

Found with Clazza on a walk with a group of muggles who were happy to stop for caches as long as it did not involve any deviation from the planned route. It was quickly found by Clazza.
It's a great spot for a cache, thanks Roanish and TaiLander.

GeoWife1 and I spent the week camping at Swansea Gardens Holiday Park and had a wonderful time enjoying the local sights and of course doing a few caches while there. A day trip to Newcastle today.
Despite a very clear hint I still searched for quite so time before locating this cache. Great location for a cache.

TFTC.... Lots of muggles..'Ron' is still there he is just hiding behind a rock... No travel bugs in cache...lighthouse missing
Enjoyed the walk, the surf was up and the muggle community were in abundance. Had to be sneaky! TFTC Didn't find "Ron" but coordinate and clues were accurate.
Finally found RON then used clue to find hiding spot. Lots of muggles around. SLTN TFTC
All the muggles look at the other side as the waves strongly smashed the rocks. Unfortunately the container was open an places upside down. So I dropped all the content. Could retrieve logbook, pen and a pin. Something else fell unretrievably between the rocks. Don't know if TBs have been there.
By the way, Ron looks different now.

Almost too easy find on my walk out here... Luckily only a few muggles. Love places like this! Thanks for the cache from Germany.
It was a pleasurable walk until it started raining ! lol but it was a good find
After a long walk in the rain and getting soaked Lauren.wayne and I found it and left an army man toy

Wanted to go and get this cache, but the with wet and wild conditions on the day I opted out due to having only 1 set of clothes and none spare, it was a good decision made, after seeing all the drowned rats returning from the end of the walkway!
The sea spray was awesome, but not without a change of clothes. Perhaps another time!
We had set aside half a day for this one but Ron gave it away. Quick find. Fabulous walk. Tftc.
We had a nice trip around Newcastle by bike. The weather was great. We found 30 caches. At the beginning we were attacked by thousands of mosqueitos, but we survived and enjoyed a lovely beach day. Thank you for all caches. Greetings from the Czech Republic.
After a long windy walk and a bit of stealth, we found this one. Great views. Thanks.
This one took a little time to find but eventually had it in hand. A lovely evening stroll-very popular with the locals too. TNLN. TFTC.
Very nice find...beautiful, part of my daily ritual to visit this spot. Decided today to track Ron's stash
We visited another cache near a lighthouse to drop off TB, but DNF...twice!! We decided that this cache is a better place...it is a beautiful walk and the view of the lighthouse next to a great beach...fantastic!
Did this cache right after the 'a SPACE to meet' event good find with evil-1 jackal-261 & linky-1510
found during a beautiful walk after the Space Meet Event with Commando283, Jackal261 and Link1510.
alas no sign of Ron and at 2200H still Muggle-Heavy at GZ but dark enough to compensate.

Wonderful day for a walk. We were coming out here anyway, but thanks for the cache.
Geocache # 944.
Found on Sunday, 3rd November 2013 at 3:29 PM.
Conditions: clear but windy.
Current streak # 95 days.
Today's finds 7 of 10.
Whilst on a road trip up to Newcastle with Goughy2012, Jase90 and Nush89, we stopped off at a number of places along the way to explore the area and find a cache (or two). We had arrived at our main destination for the day and set out on a longer than expected walk to find Ron and the cache. Whilst we were getting blown away by the strong winds and frustrated having to continually swat away the flies, an FA18 Super Hornet, no doubt from the RAAF Base at Williamstown, flew over us and made another pass before disappearing out to sea. Once at GZ we quickly spotted Ron and made the find soon thereafter and signed the log before returning the cache and its cammo to the original hiding spot. Favourite point awarded for the location, TFTC Roanish.

Upon arriving at Nobbys Beach we started on the long walk to GZ. After we had just passed the lighthouse and making our way to the start of the Breakwater we heard the All to famous sound of a RAAF F/A 18 Super Hornet flying around over head from Williamstown RAAF Base. "JordsAU and my selfed quickly snapped a few photos before continuing our way to GZ.
While making our way we battled against winds that we guessed were at least 80km/h in speed as well as swarms of Flys.
We finally made it to GZ and round "Ron" in seconds (someone said it was now harder to find him we had no trouble with that). Within seconds i spied the cache but left final retrival to Nush89.
She Signed the cache on behalf of us all and we sat a few minute watching the waves and ships pass.

Found at 3:29 with the boys. Beautiful spot to explore and decent walk to get to. TFTC
Found at 3:29pm. A monster of a walk coming down onto the breakwater. Definitely underestimated the distance. The walk was pleasant enough except for the DAMN FLIES! The wind was also a bit of an obstacle to overcome but it made the find worth it. SL TFTC
Good find however new rocks partially cover ron. Signed geegaff and bad boy rools
We enjoyed the walk out to GZ this morning. There was some sea spray over the break wall from a large southerly swell. My geo-wife kept a lookout while I explored several nooks & crannies before locating the cache. TNLN thanks.
