Detoured this way due to accident on highway and thought...ah..yes will find this one today!
Teach me to update my pocket queries!!!
Found obvious spot.
Quite inhabitated by spider webs but no spiders to be seen...far too cold today.

This brings back memories of traveling through these old sections and towns over the years. Quick find, however log is damp.
My first on the 'Scenic Routes' to the mountains. TFTC, but I doubt if it is in the original hidey-hole!
nice easy find, cache damp, log very wet - thought it would fall apart if I unrolled it. Left new sheets and changed plastic bag
Found it nice and easy on the way to Newcastle for our niece’s wedding.
Thanks Scenic routers for the cache.

We didn't like to 'rest' here, as it was all so grotty, but we found the cache and got out of there.

Last find for the day on our way from Wagga to Bathurst, easy find in the dark T4TC.
A great driveby with the van in tow. Still very wet, but no way to dry it out today as it's raining. TNLN, but Trecaz Trakkie TB made a visit. Thanks
Found this cache at 9:20am on our way home from Bathurst via Carcoar and Trunkey Creek. Caching as we go. And also picking up another :Old Ways"cache along the way.
We had some beautiful Black Heifers watching us.
Thanks Scenic Routers for all the caches we have done this weekend.

My first Old Way cache but hopefully not the last. It was exposed but fine when I got there, and all is now well again.
The last of my 12 today..a clean sweep!..Yey!
A nice easy find, the end of an enjoyable days caching from Blayney out to Wimbledon and Newbridge area.

Found with matt_stomper on our way to Bathurst for Easter. We took a detour off the main higway to find this one and had it located in next to no time. TFTC
And yet another old way cache to add to the collection.
We knocked over quite a few of these today.
Thanks for the cache and the series.

Found at 1640. Having completed most of the old way series over the weekend, it was nice to stop by and add this one to the list. A nice drive by find with a few interesting relics still left to ponder over.
Thanks.
Thanks.

My first trip to Bathurst for 34 years – came up through Booroowa and Cowra and headed home via Oberon and Goulburn. Although with that many caches, my memory has blurred, I have come away with a great appreciation of the countryside and seen more of the towns than if I was doing my normal touristy thing. I have seen historic locations, scenic locations, fun locations, tricky micros, easy micros, evil micros – fantastic.
Thanks Scenic Routers for the fun hunt and the chance of a rest break. I think this was the first of many of your caches - thanks so much for all the fun and entertainment.

Found this cache with SecretSquirrel-BJC on our Bathurst Invasion weekend.
Thanks for the opportunity to stop again Scenic routers. It's a bit of a shame this area is getting run down. One can see how it would have been a good place to pull in once.

We were on our way to another cache when this one popped up first. Rather than subject the Happy Combo to another rough dirt road we stopped here for this cache. Thanks again Scenic Routers.
found enroute to Bathurst invasion event with Albida + mr_roo... almost in bathurst but a few more diversions to get there...
Found with albida and mtrax our first signs of a team we knew that was going to bathurst TFTC
Another quick find as we get closer to Bathurst for our Invasion weekend.

Final find of the day. Have driven past this road numerous times and have never been down it. Beautiful old farm house there.
It certainly has been a while since we were out this way or so it would seem as the old way was the main way last time we passed through here. Can't have been bypassed that long ago though as even the maps still show this as being the main way or that is our excuse any way for our ignorance.
Mrs Stilllookin had this one in hand very quickly but the container was a little worse for ware (looks like it has been attacked by the slasher). This was not a problem though as we had an identical spare in our cache bag so we swapped them signed the log and kept on our way. BTW the log was still in reasonable condition considering the damage to the container.

Found by Mary & David at 1625. Now that the traffic has been diverted, only the birds are here to enjoy the rest area. Found it quickly, but the container is broken. Our thanks to Scenic routers.
Found on the way home after a slight detour. Checked the clue & thought 'yuk', got there & thought 'double yuk', I hope not.
TNLNSL Thanx again routers,

Found at 15:30 with Wasptor, Teglian, herca and frogdude - my fifty-third cache on our Bathurst 24 hour Caching Event weekend.
This was a nice spot to stop. Around here, my TomTom GPS decided that we were travelling on a non-existant average between the 'old' and 'new' ways.
The cache took a while to find - well hidden.
Thanks Scenic routers

We missed the first turn off to get over to this one, so had to double back. Cache was really well wedged in it's hole. Cache container is a bit worse for wear.
Cheers

An enjoyable detour on the Old Way. The little picnic spot doesn't get much use these days, except by geocachers
Finding the cache took a few minutes as I couldn't find a hidey hole anywhere [:o]
Eventually I did spot the cache. It sure is a snug fit

Didn't take the first exit from the highway so had to drive an extra 500m or so. Pulled up and saw the cache before we could even get out of the car. TFTC.
This was a matter of 'go simple'. At least I did not climb the tree.

Ah, very clever hide. Found it after I stopped messing about with the more obvious place! A stick helped the extraction, TFTC.
Yep – I like the old way better than the new! Much better route, and much more scenic! Mind you, I think I’ve done this series out of order. I hope that doesn’t matter too much?
I very much like the old rest area here. Although I expect it doesn’t get many visitors any more. All a bit a sad really. TNLN, love the hide!, thanks again Scenic Routers!

Finding this cache was not the hard part. Retrieving it was. But, with a few twigs etc. I finally had it in my hands. Thanks for the stopover and the cache.
We found it but in our attempts to remove it from its home it dropped into an irretrievable location
So searched the geomobile and fortunately came up with an identical container and new log sheet to replace it with
Cheers, it was a real test of manual dexterity!!

Read the clue, found GZ but no cache. Unless we were way off (but I don't think we were) I believe it may have been muggled.
Neat hide, tricky to retrieve! Nice spot for a break. They didn't move the road that much really, did they? Always interesting to see the changed made by the next generation. TFTC
Seem to be following around Mr President and the First Lady, and it Is a priviledge.

Had a little difficulty retrieving the cache, but in the end it didn't escape. Nice spot.
Very tricky. We needed a pair of pointy nosed pliers to get it out.Good hide.Thank you.
Sometimes you just think you know where something is and then someone beats you to it, top spot MIKKIZ
Walked around in circles a couple of times before grabbing this one. Great little hidey hole, isn't it nice how nature makes geocache sized holes just for us. Surprised to find it was still a virgin after getting beat to
