Lots of finds followed by lots of DNF's

Suggest that the cache needs to be checked

21-Oct-12
Looked around for a while. No go and apparently now six months since a find. Cup of tea time.

Many thanks to michaels mob,

We have to add our names to the DNF list for this one, but the photo we took was awesome, thanks for bringing us here.
Better lucknext time, Maybe!

Very disappointed to not find this one. Has it tricked me or has it gone? There was some evidence of some very high tides recently - lots of seaweed around gz. But after reading previous logs I am determined to go back for another look sometime. The family spent a couple of days holidaying here and I love the area. Thanks for showing us round!

13-Mar-12
Sadly I have to join the ever growing list of blue faces. Had a fairly good search about but time was running out to get to Devonport for the Last Supper! Might have to glean a hint and come back next visit to Tassie.

09-Mar-12
This one really had us going, we were coming up with all sorts of ideas of where to look but we still could not find the cache. A lovely area. Thanks michaels mob

Shared the parking with another car while we had lunch. Other car kept looking at us and I reckon they were fellow cacher's waiting for the Muggles (us) to go. He He. Went to the GZ and found some great spots for a cache. Took a little while to find what we were looking for, excellent bit of camo. TFTC TN left fishing lure.

Great hide. I figured it couldn't be where it would get wet, so quickly scanned the alternative possibilities, and there was something that just didn't belong in that environment. TNLNSL. TFTC.

11-Dec-10
DNF - Two of us had a good look for this one for about 15 odd minutes but couldn't come up with anything that looked out of place. We had a consistent ground zero out on the rocks but we also had a good look around within out a 10 metre radius of there and still didn't find anything. Thanks anyway michaels mob, we "enjoyed" the view on the beach on this very blustery afternoon.

13-Oct-10

Took awhile, this one. A very nice and unexpected hide. Thanks for being creative!

19-Oct-09
Looked at cache a few times. How unobservant can one get. More concerned with the prickly vegetation and wriggly legless black things that had come out to take the sun. It moved faster than we did. A very clever cache . Thank you.

Just about to give up on this one when we found it. We were both amused by the ingenuity of it and how long we had spent within a metre of it even though we were very conscious of the clue. Thanks for a great experience.

One of the best hides I've seen. Great little cache that required a bit of a search. Found by Mrs Gumby whose clever eyes spotted the anomaly. Left sunny keyring & took Garry the gecko TB on the next leg of his journey. Great cache!!

01-Mar-09
Wow, very well hidden cache. Had to use the clue and there was the cache - very near to where we first looked!! Excellent cache. Enjoyed the hunt.

10-Feb-09
I was enjoying a seaside stroll this afternoon Smile
A short detour from the trail and I found meself looking out over a sea of rocks [:o]
But the cache wouldn't be there because it would be underwater at high tide Big Grin
That left behind me to have a look.
A quick search and I spotted something odd !
Ooooh! A cache Razz
Nice bit of camo.
I left Gary the Gecko in this greenest of places Big Grin

12-Oct-08
Went for an afternoon drive and ended up in this neck of the woods so jumped at the opportunity to do a spot of maintenance on our 3 caches in this area.
Found this cache in good condition, although it had found its way to a new location ‘not far from the original’ all contents were nice and dry.
Have repositioned it back to the original spot so all is in readiness for the next cacher attempting this one.

12.00pm
Found by Roma and Max.
Roma’s keen eyes discovered your container and we both just loved your camo.
We left our mark in the log and made no exchange.
Thank you michaels mob for placing this cache and the cunning method used to hide it.
Romax.

Very clever hide and not too bad a spot at all for early in the morning. Rebulus found it first and was quite pleased with himself as he has been having a bad night. 28th of 35 finds on this trip. TNLN Thanks michaels mob

27-Oct-07
I had hoped this is were we would be early in the morning after an all night caching trip with rebulus and gspblu. It was 6.45am and the sun was trying to shine on us through the clouds but just couldn't quite do it. Still managed to get some good photos and thought the cache hide was probably the best I had seen all night. Rebulus deserved a pat on the back for that find .... can't remember if we gave him one or not [:o)] TFTC michaels mob. It was a gooden!

06-Oct-07
Nice day, good spot, found easily. thanks.

08-Mar-07
This one took me a while, even though I must have looked at it a couple of times. Eventually I looked at it from the right angle and the rest was history. Coordinates were very good too. Thanks michaels mob for the very good hide and the challenge.

AH HA!!!!

I now know who I have been crossing pathes with all weekend, I had seen a SA car around and had a sneeking suspicion that I was not alone in this part of the world, but here is proof, the cache was practically still warm when I found it, well not really I found it at night but I know I have been watched this weekend!!!

A unique design for a cache!!!!

Had a great time finding this one then smugly finding a rock to sit on (patent pending to craigrat) while watching Forth Feralz search in vain for it Smile

Love the cammo...confused by name...Cheers!

05-Feb-06
Found this cache in my previous incarnation as a Cheesy Pig.

05-Feb-06
1035 Our first find on the return journey from the Birthday Bash Cache Blowout. Upon arrival observed Forth Ferals and parts of Team Tiges and Aloysius fleeing the scene, hey offered to watch and laugh as we searched but we did not take them up on it. GPS entered Exorcist mode, causing Mr CP to speak in tongues, not aided by the arrival of a princess and slaves who promptly located the cache, then said, "I've found it but I'm not going near it until you find it". %#$^&*^#@ says Mr. but eventually finds it when his head is grabbed from behind and his nose is rubbed against it. Brilliant hide Michaelsmob. TNLN

05-Feb-06
We really enjoyed this one. Lovely spot , very interesting cache, well done guys. SL took pig candle, left frog in log.

05-Feb-06
Arrived in the vicinity GZ and could very distinctly see trotter marks in the sand (well, and the Cheesy Pigs' cacheMobile), so for some reason my slaves decided to be incredibly infantile and 'hide' behind the PigMobile. We were waiting, and waiting, and. . .well we gave up on that! And Team Tiges's CacheMonkey, aloysius7, and the forthferals walked up. Quick chat confirmed that there obviously weren't any truffles in this cache. Looked towards GZ to see Mr Cheesy Pig stumbling hither and yon in search of cachey-goodness. We said our goodbyes to the other three teams and joined the Cheesy People.

Not that she's especially clever (I think we all realise this by now), however it didn't take my female slave long to find the cache - GZ was fairly spot-on, and although not obvious to muggles the clever camouflage of this cache should be geo-obvious! The slaves pretended to search again for a few minutes, then let Mr CP know that the cache had been spotted but we'd let him find it on his own. Obviously the female slave's acting skills aren't all that great as he then scoured the area where she had been searching and soon came up with the goods!

Fantastic hide Michaels Mob! Enjoyed the cache and the company during the search as well. TNLNSL

05-Feb-06
I thought I'd find out what a Hebe was.

Hebe : the Greek goddess of youth and a cupbearer to the gods.

Well, bugger me, I looked all around, and found a very well camouflaged cache, some pointy grasses, some feralz, a schnauzer and a variety of dairy-loving swine. Funny, I don't remember seeing any Greek godesses. I'm pretty sure I would've remembered that too... I mean, I didn't even see a Greek-Australian chick who can make a passable Souvlaki! Wink

Anyways, I might just pull my head in now. Great cache again M.M. I'd seen it before, but it's still cool! Smile

TNLNSL! Smile

05-Feb-06
Found by Sirius. Cache out and log being written as voices heard. Scribbled time and name and quickly rehid, only to find voices were muggles and not fellow cachers. We loved this cache. Fantastic hide and brilliant camo. Need a new category CraigRat, best camoed cache!

Cheers Quilter
