I think I found the original location of the cache but was unable to locate the new position without trampling the whole surrounds.
Would like to return here to find & hope that the co-ords will be updated sometime.
Lovely area & a great walk
Thanks

We've been on this great short walk before, the red gums are really magnificent. Had to wait while the lone muggles enjoyed the view and a cuppa, then found the cache just where the last to find had re-hidden it. Left car and took glowlight. Thanks for a really good cache.

Incredibile park and a nice walk. Arriving at the final area started to surge for the cache. But I couldn´t manage to find any thing like a cache.

Could you please look if I was just blind or the cache is gone.

Thanks for bringing be here.

We have driven past this one a number of times and it has always been too late in the afternoon, or bad weather coming in, well, after a great BBQ lunch at Norah head, and with such a perfect day, we had no excuses to not go looking for this one finally.

And, just how good was the weather today? Just superb! So, we set off along the tracks and enjoyed the walk no end, it really is a nice walk. Got to the lookout and spent sometime looking where we thought it would be, but alas, no cache.

Found it not where I was expecting, and have placed it back where we found it, so, don't bother looking under the structure, though, I suspect it came from under there?

Well worth the walk for the views over a mirror surface below.

Two thumbs up.

Cheers

What an adventure! SixStars leader saw the weather closing in, so encouraged the junior sixers to go as the crow flies! 700m of bush bashing later we emerged on top of the cache site, the last 20m on a beautiful walking track. The cache container was in clear view on the ground, but not despoiled. We replaced it in an easy search location close to original GZ near a grass bush. It may need resetting. Walked back to the car the proper way. Took the Geocoin, left a gold star. Thanks for the excitement!

Trying to get infront of the weather and took what I thought was the shortest track but I did not get wet even though I spent a while looking at all the trees in the area it would have to have some of the biggest old man Banksia trees (I think that that is what they are called) and some of the red gums are big to on the way back I had a gentle man ask me if you could see the surf form behind me I said no it was the lake he was headding to the then asked if you couls get to the water I said no to that to he said thanks and kept going. I wonder if he is still there with such a bad sence of direction?

A beautiful morning walk. Plenty of muggles in the car park so we headed off quickly to get in front of them. Lovely view from the cache. Left a glider and took the screw driver.

our second find on our trip from Canberra.

found this one just after Circuit did.
they were leaving just as we arrived. didn't realise they were after the same thing as we were until they'd left and I was told that they were carrying a gps too.
Garfield didn't last long in teh cache as it was happily taken by one of my daughters and the other one took a travel toothbrush to do her dolls teeth with.
fantastic walk through a beautiful little patch of forest.

thanks for the cache

Our First Cache, relatively easy to find. Took car patch, left Garfield. Put Cache back just in time as another family arrived.Happy Australia Day.

Geowife and kid went for the walk to this one. Lucky the other two stayed asleep in the back. Was able to park closer then the parking area.
JABs.

Entered the National Park via Evans Rd and hiked the 5-6km round trip from that point rather than start from one of the closer entries.

A good day to go caching. We found the cache after some examination - took nothing and left a calling car.

The Passengers best cache find so far

This was our second find of the day. Nice walk around to get to the cache. Had to be careful as just as we got to GZ muggles were there resting. Great spot and a beautiful walk. TNLN, TFTC.

Did an activity in the NP one night while on a conference at Camp Toukley and was so engaged that I walked past the cache a number of times without being able to stop. So I ran back in on the last day of conference - couldn't leave it after having gotten so close!
Great place, TFTC Smile

Great walk & scenery to this cache & the narrow trail out was nice finish. Found the cache easily. Enjoyed the view & read a few log entries. Took the 'Peace' arm band & left a "scrunchie".
Also left the 'Fly My Little Witch-Walpurgis Night Geocoin' #PCNNFT (TB10Z6H)

Thanks!

This was an easy find after a lovely walk through the redgum forest.
We took a bag peg, and left a peace wristband.
The Texas boot is also now in our care, and will be moved on to a new home next weekend.

Thanks for placing this cache.

Just down the road at Magenta Shores Resort for an IT conference so I couldn't resist the urge to wander up the road with a roaring hangover to clear the senses out. Sensed hit back and I lost with a throbbing headache. However, the cache did not elude me and I'm very impressed with the location and views. I also dropped in TB:Texas Boot which needs to return to Texas sometime.

Whilst visiting the area with Bateau Bay Walking for Pleasure Group, one of the members found the cache on the ground, whilst having morning tea. I happily explained what it was and made sure it was tucked away safely in the correct spot. All is okay.

07-Jan-07
Whilst hiking through the Red Gum Forest we took time out for morning tea at the lookout where we easily found the cache, without even using a GPS!

A scenic spot to enjoy the view on a warm calm day overlooking Tuggerah Lake.

We finished off the hike completing all the tracks. I too well remember the days of "Save the Red Gum Forest" and even though there are not as many tracks as the old days, it is still just as pleasant and well worth the walk every so often.

Thanks for the cache and giving us an excuse to revisit this well trod path.

Took the seal and disco ball, left candles and Jim Beam sticker.

A pleasant walk, never been in here before even though I've been driving past it regularly for most of my life. Excellent cache. Thanks Detourism.

did not attempt this one today, after 10 other caches my legs were too tired for the 1.5K each way to this cache.
sorry maybe next time.

26-Dec-06
Beautiful walk on a lovely day. We took a circular loop to the cache and back to the car. Loved the retun trip through a much narrower trail. Lots of cicadas up in the trees which geokids enjoyed trying to find!! TNLN

24-Dec-06
This was a great walk through the Angophora forest. It was a bit of a walk and we were in two minds which way to head back to the car after the find. The left track was long but we knew it would get us back to the car. The right track looks like it should be shorter, but who knows if it would lead us back to the launch site. I don't think it mattered much in the end. After a bit of complaining from the rest of the team we made it back and onto #2 for the day. Great views (twice) TNLN TFTC.

After a very nice walk through the bush I surprised the cache guard – initially I thought it the usual plastic sort but had that corrected when it jumped to the ground and stayed there using the “be still†strategy of camouflage. This was fine by me as I signed the log and replaced the cache. “She†wasn’t one that required assistance back to the lair so I let here be and hoped that instinct would lead her back to the nest.

I returned to the car via another, equally nice, path.

Wow, what a beautiful area and a beautiful walk [^]
In the rain the bark of the red gums glistened a wonderful pinkish hue. Guess they're called red gums because of the resin oozing from any wounds. The 'gum' is bright red [:o]
Some great views to be had over the surrounding lakes along the way. The cache hide was neatly done. TFTC.

well this time I can say I found it. quite a hike, but well worth it.

24-Sep-06
A lovely hike through unusual (to me) red gum forest over sand dunes. Why do they call it red gum forest when the trees are pink? Wink

The track was covered with snake trails and there were lots of bandicoot diggings.

We watched a spectacular storm passing westwards and raced a storm from the south back to the car.

TNLN, thank you for the cache.

24-Sep-06
Took the combination lock, and left a USB keyboard dongle.

What a fantastic journey to this cache. Easy find once you're there. Encountered an echidna along the way, beautiful scenery. A good hours walk from car to cache and once back, realised dropped wallet at cache site, so did the trip all over again, lucky the rain held off. Worth the walk. TNLN.

Number 2 son and I decided it was time for a walk. I've been taking school groups and staff on this walk for 15 + years but this was a whole new reason to go. It rained after we found the neatly hidden cache and the bush was just beautiful: sparkling drops of water splitting the light into different colours flashed all the way back to the car. Fancy, after the hundred and more times I've done the walk I've never done it in the rain before. Thanks for that!

I rocked up at an entrance to this place with KitPie and 8 friends, turned on the GPSr and we all decided the trek to this spot would be the way to go.

After snaking our way through along the sandy trails, the cache gave up it's hiding place in no time.

Last one for the day. I had planned up to 14 caches today, but I hadn't accounted for the logistics of ten people, including 5 kids with fairly short legs. Everything seemed to take much longer than I had first thought.

4th find from todays four attempts, and a nice long walk it was. Our first potential parking place had us on a 2-3 km walk. Kids didn't much like that idea. Next park had 800m straight line, about 1.5km with the bendy bits. Close enough, so off we went.

After the effort, the view was great, and the cahce found with relative ease. Swapped a fuzzy ball for a glo stick, and was suprised to see one of my CITO modules in here as a swap from someone else.

After the walk back it was decided that the oncoming darkness and the impending tired & whingeing kids would put an end to the day.

Headed on home afer a fun day caching.
Thanks.

The only one of 3 that I was able to find today. Two warnings.

1) If it is warm, take a drink. There is nothing on the way.

2) The cache is a lot further away than the straight line distance you will be given at the carpark.

It is a great walk with views of Tuggerah Lakes. The walk is probably as good as a walk on the beach as the track is fairly soft sand and there are a few hills to help get rid of unwanted calories.

A pleasant way to start the day. TNLN.

Nice walk though very hot and sticky today. The red gums are very impressive. Took moisturizer and left bag fastener and elephant. Thanks Detourism
