13-Nov-24
My second visit after a DNF 3 years ago, and once again I left empty handed. Three of us feeling and looking all over and nothing jumped out at us. This one is going to haunt me.

DNF

13-Nov-24
Out with friends. DNF.

09-Sep-24
Out caching with Goldberry17. Ok - how many hidey holes are there???? Quick PAF helped. TFTC

08-Sep-24
Tricky! So many hidey holes but found after PAF. Thanks for the cache - its a lovely park. Found today on a geocaching adventure in Gosford with Kazz444.

07-Sep-24
Gosh that was hard! But eventually I fingered the tiny bugger and FTF on new log. Yes just stick your fingers in all the holes. TFTC and spider webs

08-Jul-24
Looked hard and used the clues but a bit wet and spidery today! Will come back with our geocache kids again soon.

21-Jun-24
Took some time but no luck

09-Jun-24
We had a short, uninterrupted look here but didn't find anything. Oh well, maybe another day on another trip through town.-M

26-May-24
Log book replaced.

25-May-24
Found it after about 30 to 40 minutes and finally found it, but the logbook is full. I couldn't write my name, TFTH

06-May-24
Me and 2 mates had a hunt. Nil luck

23-Apr-24
The pair of us got stuck into searching and after awhile Dan noticed that we had been searching for 20 minutes. Sue said, "5 more minutes." Dan then tried to think like a nano. "Where would I hide, if I was a nano?" Then he noticed a spot that looked good. Yeeeeesssss, there it was. Needed Sue to extract it. Great teamwork again. TFTC Shifter Brains.

30-Jan-24
No luck

#19112 - 12:11:00 PM; Heading south again after a few days on the Gold Coast and stopped off here to catch up with friends who live in the area. Grabbed a couple of adventure labs, then made my way over the busy road to the park for this cache. Not my favourite type of hide, with many a DNF on similar pieces of equipment around the country! The gods must have been smiling on me today as I spotted a potential hiding spot which produced the goods! Nice to have a win occasionally against one of these things! TFTC Shifter Brains Smile

11-Jan-24
Check!

08-Jan-24
Wow this was a super difficult cache, took me and 2 other friends a solid 15 minutes to find. It was a very satisfying find in the end. We were very much helped by the other log pictures thanks for the cache!

17-Dec-23
Finally found this sneaky one. TFTC

Well, there is some long time waiting revenge! I think i DNFd this in 2009, now while out with the wife and niece hunting Pokemon I made a quick find to finally remove it from the failed list! Cheers Shifters!

06-Sep-23
Nearly gave up but then I decided to do one last check. Thanks.

02-Sep-23
Omg took a while! My friend found it!

02-Sep-23
In Sydney for a week for work and meeting a friend for the weekend! Cache number 3 for the day! Roughly 20 minutes of searching before I put my fingers on it! Glad we didn’t have to walk away empty handed. Read lots of old logs and narrowed it down a section.
TFTC, found with Torz - “that was annoying.”

19-Jul-23
Gotcha!! After multiple attempts to get this one I saw it had been found recently so decided to give it another try. Laid my hands on it within 5 minutes this time!! Best feeling ever!! This one has been my nemesis for a while!! Small hands are a definite advantage!

16-Jul-23
I looked for this many years ago, came back today and after about 30 mins with the kids they got board, I stuck my fingers in every hole even climbed up on top to check the hole in the gun. I'm super sad about this DNF

03-Jul-23
Well that was a challenging find, quite tricky to finally get my fingers on. Enjoyed the search and thank you for showing me this beauty

25-Jun-23
All good with cache.

21-Apr-23
Read the previous posts and came equipped with torch and gloves. So many hiding spots to search here!! After 15 minutes of hunting and trying not to look suspicious (a few workmen around, and let's face it, a middle aged woman clambering around an army tank with gloves on looks slightly odd)-I have decided to come back with kids another day!! I will not let this one defeat me!!

10-Apr-23
Certainly a little nervous poking fingers into dark holes, but found it after poking around. TFTC

12-Mar-23
Looked for 30 mins, too many spider webs!

12-Mar-23
Cache check done - all in good order.

02-Mar-23
Finally
After countless hours of searching when you finally put your hand on it makes all the struggle worth it. Great chache hiding spot, my tip is to feel where you don’t want to put your hand!!

11-Feb-23
Not having much luck today

04-Jan-23
Didn’t find this time!! We have a feeling we know where it is but far too many spiders to attempt to look!!

28-Dec-22
Good hiding spot and good dopamine hit Smile

07-Nov-22
TOUGH.
Apparently even when you have found dozen..s? of gun caches, they don't get any easier!
I was so very close to walking away from this one. Spent a very long time here and thought I had exhausted every option, until finally I landed my fingers on the little bugger!
Wow, thanks for the challenge!

07-Oct-22
That was a hard one

20-Sep-22
We are on a five day holiday to the Central Coast, staying at the NRMA/Big4 Ocean Beach Holiday Resort (caravan Park) in Umina Beach. Looking to do some of the many Central Coast Adventure Labs, visit some previously solved Puzzle/Mystery cache GZs, and to collect any other caches we come across during our daily travels. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base.

Today we visited Gosford, Wamberal, Forresters Beach, The Entrance, Norah Head, Noraville, Lake Haven, Woongarrah, Hamlyn Terrace, and Warnervale. Completed an Adventure Lab and collected a variety of other caches, including an EarthCache, a MultiCache, a Virtual cache, and numerous Traditional caches. This was the 1st of 25 finds for the day (day 3), and 31st find of the holiday.

Stopped off at Gosford for this one at Gosford Park, parking the geomobile close to the cache in Mann Street, then heading into the park and over to GZ. Our hearts sank when we saw the task before us, with the thought of a quick "park & grab" well & truly dashed, but we pressed on and after about twenty minutes of searching the family's chief puzzle solver had CIH. Signed the log then replaced as found. TNLN. TFTC Shifter Brains.

Find #5538

30-Jul-22
Tricky, be brave like Indiana Jones!

14-Jul-22
Checked for awhile but couldn’t find it, ended up with a gaggle of muggles watching so I thaught it might be time to go

23-Jun-22
We have been eyeing this one for a while but have always been wary of all the dnfs sprinkled through the past logs, and the timing/parking situation has never been quite right.

We finally decided to give it a go and came up empty after spending a suspiciously long time wandering and prodding around the monument. Good thing the owner of the nearby tent wasn't around.

With the kids getting bored and Mum declaring she had had enough of spider we left cacheless.

Once we got hope we did a bit of research with inspired Dad and the eldest to go back for one last try. We finally found the sucker after our third check of the likely spot we had zeroed in on. Good to have this one found, signed, replaced and ticked off.

Thanks for the Cache!

13-Jun-22
Did not find Sad

06-Jun-22
Found it within 30sec wayyyyy too easy

21-May-22
Could not find after 5 mins looking around. Have few ideas where to look for it when it’s drier.

28-Apr-22
Came down on the train from N'cle to grab a few caches in gosford. I spent about 30m the first time with no luck, but today I felt the litte bugger in 30sec. It still took mex5m to extract it from its hidey hole though..x A fav for me. TFTC Shifter Brains.

02-Apr-22
Found after an extensive search and a look back through past logs with the geokid. Cache is in good order. Make sure you bring some gloves. Plenty of spider webs here

06-Mar-22
Had to look at previous photos. Tftc

06-Feb-22
Found tyftc second go at this one!!!

16-Jan-22
Sadly a DNF, the plan is to try again in the future with some more help, wasn’t able to have much time to look for though because a huge storm was quickly rolling in, and had to leave before i got flooded out

30-Dec-21
Even with PAF we couldn't locate it.

28-Dec-21
Searched for a couple minutes (not thoroughly - my patience is not conducive to this type of find so it’s most likely still there) then left to head to the sister-in-law’s birthday lunch.

28-Nov-21
Sneaky little hide. Thankfully it didn't take too long to locate! Tftc

28-Nov-21
Took a bit of searching but persistence paid off and finally found TFTC

21-Nov-21
Well what a battle that was, but with a little help from a previous finder, found it! Lots of spider webs. TFTC

14-Nov-21
Found it and first on the list
Took a while but thanks to an old photo we found it

27-Oct-21

12-Aug-21
To help stop the spread of COVID-19, the NSW Government has ordered everybody to STAY AT HOME unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.
While some people would regard geocaching as a form of exercise, we feel that this activity is NON-ESSENTIAL, perhaps involving unnecessary travel and therefore should not be undertaken during this time of crisis.
Who knows how long this current lockdown will last! Right now, every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of COVID-19, by STAYING HOME. Unfortunately, the situation is not improving and there have been an increase in the number of finds on our caches.
As a result of the health authority’s directive, we have decided to disable this cache and respectfully request that you do not seek out and claim a find whilst this cache is disabled. If you do log a find it WILL be DELETED.
Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to bringing our caches back into play after the restrictions are lifter.
Regards
Shifter Brains

29-Jun-21
Team effort, found on a rainy day. Looked at all the logs before since we couldn’t find it. Couldn’t write our names since it was so small and wet!

31-May-21
Wowsas! That was an interesting one!

16-May-21
Sheeesh

11-Apr-21
We detoured from the waterfront AL to grab this one. I found the cache quickly, thanks to a reading of previous logs, but struggled to remove it. I was about to resort to YGAT's slimmer fingers when it popped out.

Nice hide, thanks Shifter Brains.

11-Apr-21
This tiny cache was a struggle to locate and remove but eventually we had it in hand. SL TFTC

10-Apr-21
Found with my lovely sister and caching partner MrsCowell23. We searched for a bit before seeking help from the past logs, from which we narrowed down a likely target. But after attempting to bravely put fingers in the dark - and potentially spider-filled - space she shrieked. "There's something in there! And it left bubbles on me!"

After much fussing about, we eventually worked out there was a dying snail in the space where we thought the cache would be.

And another ten minutes later we worked out we'd been right and the snail had been a a sneaky distraction. Log signed, cache returned, and a satisfying result. Thanks!

09-Apr-21
Found with my sister Laimelde. Ditto to what she said. Took us a little while and I was getting bitten by mozzies as the sun started to set. Very satisfying find though, thanks!
P.S Snails are gross.

20-Feb-21
Well that took a while! But very satisfying finding such a tiny hide. Small fingers are good but make sure they’re nimble too! Moving it around too much made it very tricky to get out!

19-Feb-21
We’re here on a wedding week end of fun.
This didn’t take too long.
TFTC

30-Jan-21
Full log to follow

02-Jan-21
Tricky to find it but we eventually did! it was in a bit of water, the paper was dry but looked like it had been wet in earlier times TFTC!

30-Dec-20
Well. Another shifter brains and another 30 minutes. Phew! After a rather lengthy search, combing the thing, I relented to the clue. Could have done with that clue at the other one. Right. Read some logs. Mmmm. Check the photos, as a lot have. Mmmmm. Righto all these ,finger size holes. Mmmmm. Different angle. Hang on. Water, wet logs, good chance to have a poke around in. Aha! Difficulties getting it out now. Brand new log. Well well. I signed to a chorus of rainbow lorikeets, and a kooka started up as well. By the time I had rolled the log back up, my sign, by the way I just put GI to conserve space, with date, had turned into a big green smudge. Tftc.

09-Dec-20
Found this one today while killing time. Unfortunately no pen so couldn't mark the pristine new log. ?

08-Dec-20
Bloody Nanos! Spawn of satan. Burn down the Nano factory, and exterminate anyone who sells Nanos.

With a few days of not much going on in Adelaide, I was deciding what to do for the next few days. For some reason Sydney seemed like a good choice and within 6hours I was off and away. With a last minute decision came a last minute plan of what I was going to go and find and as usual it changed but still got most of what I came for. A few DT fill-ins for my next loop, high favourites and JASMAR caches I was yet to find including the oldest in Aus: Lane Cove. Day 1: I arrived in Sydney late in the evening and had booked to stay at the rocks, I got off the train at an early stop and collected a few caches in the city along my path and a few lab caches. Day 2 I was up nice and early and went for nice run along the foreshore collecting some cache from the opera house to Walsh bay, I then headed over to manly and a nice walk around the area before picking up the free hirer car collecting a few caches on my way to lane cove. I later headed north to central coast to 2 Multis I was keen to tick off before arriving back in the city suburbs for the evening. I continued driving around the suburbs collecting LGAs and that continued on for day 3 before going to Bondi for some nice walks along the rock faces and the beach. As I had to drop the car back at lunch time I headed back into the city for the afternoon to collect the rest of the caches I had missed that were possible in the time I had left.
A total of 86 finds and 37 adventure labs for the trip.

Thanks for the cache

07-Dec-20
Log replaced - all okay with cache.

27-Oct-20
Found about a week ago but forgot to log!
After a previous DNF, I returned with another ButtPirate and Smasherly to defeat this once and for all! Was raining at the time and was very close to giving up, but I pointed out one hole that we hadn't fully explored and asked another to stick their finger in it (I wasn't game enough), and alas! There it was! Amazing to knock this DNF to a found. TFTC!

18-Oct-20
10 to 15 minute search but we got there in the end. TFTC!

23-Aug-20
Round and around and up and down in and out and roundabout... suddenly we felt the wee thing as instructed in the hint and it was captured!wind howling as this gun would howled when used. Tftc

Thanks to all the cache owners
for maintaining the caches.

01-Jul-20
The recently formed firm of removalists, "marj01 + 1 and oldmorty", had their first job today, transporting baby equipment up to the Central Coast. Whilst up there we found time for a few caches. Thanks to all the cache owners who provided a diversion in the day. Photo gallery helped here. Cheers oldmorty.

14-Jun-20
Log replaced.

08-Jun-20
Very tricky!

17-May-20
Great hide. We came last night for a look but it was too dark. No problem this arvo. GeoDad found this one but need Geodaughter’s little fingers.

Cache needs maintenance, log is too wet to unroll, so could not write on it but we took photos of it.

15-May-20
Couldn’t leave our signature cause it was wet and jammed in, needs maintenance.

18-Apr-20
Omg micro cache is giving it an over statement ultra micro. But yes had to go through previous clues to find.

18-Apr-20
Tough find!

17-Apr-20
Found. Thankyou.

17-Apr-20
Found. In good condition. Didn't sign as I didn't have my reading glasses. To tiny

06-Apr-20
Finally found it, couldn’t sign the paper was so small and wet we couldn’t get it out

06-Apr-20
Found it! But didn’t get to sign. Couldn’t find without the help of a photo as we were too scared to feel around with all the spider webs!

03-Jan-20
On our way back we stopped for this one and on getting close realised why the D rating. So with no one around we got to work trying to get a lock on one side or the other but no luck. We worked our way around and finally found the tiny thing. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC.
