Saw this being cut down on the news tonight, if the cache hasn't been rescued by the owner then it is probably gone. I'd like to think the muggles have left it there somewhere there though.
12:45PM
An easy find as this cache was exposed and out in the open.
We signed the cache, and returned it to its hiding place, albeit with much more cover.
Not sure how much longer this cache will be available, as the tree has been marked for destruction by the current council work. The tree is covered in caution banners, and will be uprooted soon.

Found it with the chumpywallers before the tree is no more. Such a lovely tree too. Thanks
On another lunchtime ride found this one easily, you can't see it from the path but up closer it was in plain view. I put it back where I found it. Forgot my pen so couldn't SL TNLN TFTC

On a visit north, I introduced Crawky to caching. She has walked past this cache hundreds of times and it was a joy to see her delight when we found the sistema. She is hooked! I took the TB 9CCE1A and can either put it in a Victorian site next week or else take it to the West Coast of USA in July if the owner would like that. I will be visiting Oregon and staying near Portland. TFTC.
My first find with help. very exciting. Lovely little cache. I walk past there nearly every day and love that tree. Mind you I believe I have spotted caches lingering cautiously in the past. I would add that the golfers, if in view would be mightily lost. Thanks for the hide.
Found this one on my Geo Bike Ride of the day !

A nice stroll through Victoria Park for this one.
The coordinates are about 13m off, but GZ is obvious when you see it. Not a difficult find.
Got accosted by a drunk muggle while making my log entry. I doubt he will remember the encounter.
Removed the Dog Tags TB, and might take them travelling with me.

After a nice walk through Victoria Park on my way back from BRH I came to this nice tree . After running around it a few times I found the box. Left 'Erasmus Boras"TB to continue its travels.

Found this at the moment a torrential rainstorm started. Nice park and great old tree. TFTC!
Found the cache exposed just lying under the tree. Replaced it at what I thought was the most likely hiding spot. Also took out a TB that wasn't in the inventory.
Found on a walk with the babies around this calming park area above the ICB. TFTC
Out on a caching run for work - I scouted for this one. The co-ords seemed a little off for me - but GZ was quite obvious. Found it after a bit of a hunt. TFTC HawMorFords
521 - Found this one at 12:20pm. There was a local to the area sitting right next to GZ so we kept walking past and crossed the road by the second bridge and came back but she was still there. Eventually she moved on and we could perform the duties. Found the cache quickly and in good condition. TFTC HawMorFords.
This was cache # 8 of 10 on my last day in Brisvegas. A nice tree to be sure. My thanks to HawMorFords for the cache.
We have enjoyed searching for caches in the roots of these trees = there are just so many nooks and crannies where things can be hidden. TFTC
A short search and a bit of spider avoidance and the cache was in hand! Sat in the sun to write my name and replaced in its camouflage. TFTC
Nice quick find and luckily nice and quiet in the area this morning. Cache in good condition. Thanks HawMorFords
Alkzura went one way, I went the other. As usual, I was not the lucky finder. Quick find during a nice stroll in the park with Alk, NyletaM, Palopinto and the geokids. TNLNSL TFTC!
Found at 12:00 in the company of NyletaM, Palopinto and EngPhil.
A quick search of the likely tree, and the cache was in hand.

Thanks HawMorFords, this is a lovely tree and the lengths they've gone to, to keep it alive are quite impressive. We found the cache quickly, with Alkzura spotting it and pointing me in the right direction to pull it out. EngPhil and Palopinto were also in on the hunt with us and of course our geokids. TFTC
Beautiful tree, and a lovely walk through the park. I managed to get some really nice photos of the ducks and things in the pond there, and if I can remember at some point I shall upload them. TFTC!
On the first morning in Brisbane I went on a little jogging tour. Couldn't sleep anyway, due to jet-lag. So I came past this wonderful tree and found a little box. The only thing... it is a vary small Small. The TB that came with me didn't fit. Anyway, thanks for the cache
Finally got around to it, and a round tuit. Splendid.
Cache was uncovered, but in situ - covered it over a bit.

after reading the description thoroughly and not only the hint... this was a quick find. Thanks for hiding and showing this place

at 16:58. Rather a pleasant walk after we had worked out where to start. TFTC HawMorFords
Great tree. Worth the considerable effort taken to preserve it.
No golfers in sight but had to dodge a few walkers and joggers.

Nervous find this one. I was more concerned about joggers and cyclists than golfers. Anyhow, found the cache and TN/LN/SL.
Too hot today to be stuck inside in the air-conditioning??? what was I thinking? Anyway, agree, extraordinary effort to save this tree!!
Found easily. log book dry and cache in good condition. Was a bit exposed, so covered properly.
Thanks Hawmorfords.

Thanks Hawmorfords.
Found a convenient little parking spot for this one and wanderred down the walking track to GZ...
At GZ, I scoured a few places and found a number of caches disguised as wine bladders and beer bottles. Such a shame.
Spotted a more likely hidy hole however and sure enough, t'was the right one... [^]
I wonderred why such an strong looking tree would need to be tetherred. Then again, if the magnificent trees in New Farm park came come to grief, so could this fine specimen I guess...
Cheers

Nice easy find (a change for Brisbane!) in the fading light. Nice walk, grand old tree. Thanks.
This is only our 3rd find. We started yesterday. The iPhone 3G had a few user problems but we finally found it. Be careful of spiders in the tree. Very wet on the approach but managed to squish through the mud to the final destination.
On the way home from Bribe Island for the day.
Riding bike along the path.. and found it then ride back to my van where it was parked on the closed street.
Lucky I got a bike handy heh.

We left the Royal Brisbane Hospital at 4:50pm on our bikes. This cache was sort of on the way home - a 200m diversion. Cache was located quickly and got back on our bikes, mindful of the storm brewing around us. Alas, after 5 minutes of riding, the heavens opened and in another minute, we were drenched.

I walked here from the Roma St Parkland. I didn’t realise that the walk bridge nearby was there, so walked quite a bit further than I needed too. Happily the cache was quickly in hand and I was on my way.
Thanks for another great rooted cache.

Replaced cache container and logbook.
Cache is now 'Small' (200 ml Sistema container) hidden in the same hidey hole.

Going back into caches I have found in the past and "visiting" a personal TB to give a total km travelled in our time caching.
I was at a "work function" at the golf course today. "Work function" of course means playing golf and drinking. As I don't do either of these, it was a great opportunity to do some caching.
Found at 1330 today and found that the log was choc-a-block.

Hmm the conundrum MrMad says this cache was found but the South Australians don't seem to have recorded this one. I guess fatigue had to set in one way or another after 24 hours of geocaching. We will log this one but may have to edit it later. Thanks HawMorFords for another cache.
An easy cache for find #8 on a family day of geocaching. Found at 8.32am by Kidz J.
Nice easy find but it looks as though the log book is full. But then again I could only see logs from 2006 but I see there are plenty in 2007. TFTC
Great caching weather- no-one else was stupid enough to be out in such weather, so no-one to see me sneaking about. Found this one early in the morning on my own while geoteens and geohubby slept.
Heading South went with new Geo friends think there hooked now great find, took Geo coin saving shiloh!!!!
Thanks for setting up the cache! The log book is full and the outer plastic bag is a bit damaged.
Rumo was on a conference in Brisbane for three days. So time for getting an impression of Aussie geocaches.
This one stood out by its original case It was well hidden from bypassers, but not for the cacher's eye.

Have driven past so many times, we thought it was time to get out and go for a walk. Wow! That's an impresive set of tent pegs. TFTC
Found before a potentially difficult day at work ... gotta start the day off right!! Nicely placed, and this tree has been very well retained!! TFTC.
Found at 7:40am on an early morning walk before heading to a meeting in the city

I certainly enjoy the trees in this series and I'm delighted to say La Kedi and I actually found this one which makes a nice change. Mind you, it wasn't hard to miss being out in the open like it was. TFTC
Hoping that this Rooted wouldn't cause us the heartache that others have, we were delighted in a shocked way to see the cache out in full view on arrival at GZ. Sure makes finding it easier, but still... we popped it back in a less visible spot, regardless . TFTC. ='.'=
a nice walk along the bikeway - quite a few changes since I last walked/ran along there.
I left a type of loggable item which I have struggled to log - good luck to its next owner!

Great tree! Thanks for bringing me to this nice spot. No problems with Muggles and the cache was in good shape. Logged my visit.
Found easily after a nice walk along the paths, this tree is home to a lovely little furry guy who was curled up sleeping.

Found by edmil. The 2nd of two caches while in Brisbane with dead phone and dead PDA. Password for Geocaching .com also on PDA so while I had access to internet kiosk in Motel couldn't log in to get any cache details. You don't realise how much you becme dependent on the 'toys'. Thanks for the cache. and what turned out to be a long walk as I thought I knew where the hotel was and decided to take what I thought would be a short cut. Unfortunately roads in Brisbane don't operate like those in Victoria and I ended up further away. Had Garmin with me but no Hotel address, street put me 3 kms away. Local helped me out with directions. ah the joys of caching in Brisbane maybe I'll have more luck next time
Wow – this tree clearly needs (and is getting) some support! Another nice tree in the series. Nice easy find this time. Now onward on my bike ride. TNLN, thanks again HawMorFords.
Our first rooted cache of many during a week long caching adventure in Brisbane. We didn't find all that we attempted (and probably won't log those that we failed) but enjoyed them all. TFTC's.
Located after a really pleasant walk at night. Picked up Defcon Geocoin.
I am working my way throught the series, now all I need is a trip out to the Bayside to do the final two.

Nice location. The ants have overun the hiding spot, but brushed them off with a stick.
Was out and about to collect the GCA movable cache Keepings Off. This one was less than 100m from that one, so decided to do this one as well. Great spot considering the busy roads. Loved the little pond up near Gilchrist Ave, lots of ducks around. But what we like the best was a cute little possum that had decided to use a hollow on the underside of the branch above GZ as it's sleeping pad for the day. Although all the noise of us did wake it up and it popped it's head out to look at us while we scratched around. Kids could have stayed for ages looking at it. TFTC.
Lovely walk and fabulous tree. Must have driven past hundreds of times.
Thnaks for the cache.

Found @ ~12:50pm.
I was pretty sure I knew where was meant and was pretty much just walking there. However, I'd carelessly left my GPSr seeking 'Combination Delta' so had a bit of a panic when I checked progress and discovered I was apparently 600m off course. I'll just stand in the shade here while I sort this out... Select the right waypoint; range 21m. "Oh. /This/ tree." Looked at the clue straight away which made it a pretty quick find. TFTC.

Found this cache today while on holiday up in sunny Brissie. It was actually only 500 metres away from where we were staying so it was pretty super quick! Thanks mate.
Found by Sunshine Toledo and Razza at 2:30pm. The cache is well hidden and safe. Great walk from the parking lot to GZ. TFTC TNLNSL.
New logbook placed today... Cache is in good shape, high and dry and ready to meet the next visitor.
