This cache is obviously in the wrong place in these nervous times. Goodbye nameless Soldier
AAARRRGGHH!!!! 3rd time not so lucky, it seems. And only one more work day at the barracks before I sail fer lands afar! Be it reachable from thar path? The cords keep putting me about 10 metres away from tha items mentioned in the clues...
Plucked up courage to track this one down about 8pm... GZ appeared in the middle of grass area. Reverted to the hint - they were some distance away. Likely spot didn't give up the goods either. Found empty film canister - hope that wasn't it?? Had a few DNFs lately! [B)]
Yet another failed attempt...yet, I didn't expect this 'un to turn up fer me...not when I realised after work that, in me infinite wisdom, I managed to forget the torch...and the GPS...but I remember where it was pointin' last time! There's a lesson to ya all: no torch+no gps+night cache=no luck!
Arr, not enough time to get a proper search after work...next time.
#7 of 7 finds on my first day in Hobart in company with Snuva. This took us a lot longer than it should have. The GPSr very definitely pointed to a certain place, but we thought, "Nah! It won't be there." So we searched where we reckoned it would be. We came up dry, and in the process, I received a twig to the eardrum. Ouch! [B)] We found it, finally, at 2355 in the first place we had considered. Note to self: Check where the GPSr points before looking further afield! I made no exchange. Time to go home to bed. [|)] Thanks to Cheesy pigs for the cache. Cheers, dak.
Finally! So happy to get this one over and done with - felt so self conscious looking around @ 6pm with lots of people walkign through the well lit park. Luckily the cache is pretty easy to find now. Thanks again CP's - 1 to go!
two dnf's in a row! - once again GPSr had us in a completely open area, it was really well lit. hint helped but we could not pcik up anything that would guide us to the right spot. in the end the sun was nearly up and it was no longer dark - just don't we are experienced enough at the more difficult ones yet.

That'll learn me for not checking the logs before going back to a cache for a second attempt at a find!
Well I don't know whether to blame ghosts or over zealous army types but this cache is gone again. Disabled for now while i rethink the placement for the fourth time. If anyone is just waiting for this set of coordinates email us and we will sort something out.
DNF while searching for this with SG-3 on a cold, dark night. Both our GPSrs were indicating a GZ about 8-10 into the bushes, which didn't seem like the wisest place to be hunting around. We looked everywhere that we could see that fitted the hints, but could find neither arrows nor ghosts!
Another night time attempt and another no find, how embarrassment.
Look behind everything in the hint and couldn't see it. There was one part in particular closest to GZ that looked like a few people had searched there, but no box. Bugger!

Had my second 1 minute search tonight before I got nervous and pulled the plug. GPS continues to point further back in, closer to the fence but I'm resisting going there... will try for another 1 minute search soon.
Found after waiting for some muggles to leave then searching around a bit. Glowing arrows weren't especially visible. The paint on the cache container lid is starting to flake off so it isn't all that clear what the coordinates of the fifth cache are.
Thanks for the cache. Now on to cache 3!

3rd find in early morning..muggles starting to appear.Easy find.Have all clues needed to complete series....looking forward to it.TFTC Cheers Cheesy pigs.
Went looking for this one last evening as I drove past, but it was still a bit too light and I was still too visible from the road. I'll be back

Cache has gone again. Will be disabled until I can replace it, possibly in a different place.
[Late afternoon find.] I read the logs, and it is not a magnetic, is it the right one?[very little muggle traffic about, they are all down at constitution dock. a few cars were whizzing by, but very few people even acknowledge other road users from their cocoons of isolation, let alone pedestrians.
nice placement. SL TFTC

Sorry for late log in. Found by Team Beama while on holidays (16/3/06) with Weroamin.
Replaced today, same place, now magnetic keybox, still with glow in the dark coordinates. and I still promise a ghost
checked this one last night, not having a good run. disabled until i replace it sorry.
We found the arrow pointing the way, but thats all we found. Gave the area a very thorough search, with two torches, so cache blindness can't be the blame Maybe it's been muggled? But then would the arrow still be in place? Maybe we were just tired after such a big day at the Mid Winter Event. Cheers Quilter
It took us a while to locate this one and expected at any moment to be rumbled by defence. However retrieved and coords logged for another day.
A Great find on Anzac Day! The first for Da Frizz in Tas. There were a few muggles about of course, and this area had particular interest. Found the gooey brain thing first in which it stayed exactly where it was, eventually the actual cache was located. Thanks TNLNSL
We had to take our time with this one as a few likely lads were practically straddling the GZ and were setting in for a night of what looked to be a carton or seven. Finally got their marching orders by Mr Plod and we could zoom in for the find. We found it but it had been opened and tampered with, the gross skull thingy in it decided to leak fake blood all over my hands which does not want to come off, and Azenis's wife got a face full of rust when fetching the lid. Replaced the cache with kid gloves, hopefully it will stay there till the next GC'r arrives.

Well, we have heard of people stumbling over caches by accident, but had never had the experience ourselves - until today, when we were in the area looking for other information!!! Have been meaning to get to this series, so perhaps this will kick start us!!!
If we could manage one ghostly experience in the sunshine, this one was just as spooky. To the touch anyway.
Found this one while there was still a little day light left. Didn't like the thought of being caught snooping around the place with a torch! And wasn't a woman attacked near here not long ago??
Found after about 2 minutes of arriving at GZ - now I know what to look for, it didn't take very long.
Thank CPs

Ah ha. A swampy on our tail. Found it pretty easy, but don't know about the arrows pointing the way? Well done CP. Off to the next.....
This one proved to be the most challanging cache in the series from my point of view - with the flood lighting, numerous hiding spots, GeoMuggles everywhere, and a paranoid caching partner to tend too.
My NavWoman took me to within 2 metres of the cache placement, so it narrowed down the search area a bit, it really could only be in one spot, but what a spot, so many places to hide a cache! We probably spent a good 20 minutes on this one, with scurrying back to the car because CraigRat felt uncomfortable, or he saw a security guard, or the light was too bright etc etc etc.
To be honest I was willing to pull the plug on this one too for a short while there, but given we'd come so far, it had been a long day, we were tired but I really didn't want to be beaten and wanted the series in the bag on this trip - bloody complusive obsessive genes, I blame my Mum
One last look on my part and I caught a glimpse of the cache with the street lights reflecting off the case, how we missed it before I don't know and given how easy it was to see once I did see it, I'm wondering if this one will get found out during the day.

OK, I admit it.. I was a bit of an old woman at some of the waypoints.. Others call it paranoia, I call it caution
I think this one was found by Horus.
Can't say I've ever stopped here before
Thanks CP's

Definitely not FTF but may claim FTL. Easy find, but ghostly "glowing arrow" has come unstuck. Muggle heavy area.
Think I found this one also just before S&P but could be wrong because trying to read log written in pale ink by fading torchlight is a challenge.
Also encountered and avoided several muggles and had to choose carefully where to sit and log find as at least one muggle stopped to relieve himself behind handy tree as I arrived.

Again, something was possessing the GPSr and I stumbled around and must have looked quite dodgy; luckily most of my other dealings with this area have taught me that stumbling around in a drunken manner is basically to be expected so I wasn't too worried about my activities being found out!
And yes, I saw a ghost at this one!
