Was in the area so thought we would have a look and see if it was still there.
Found it amongst the prickles.
It hadn't dried out, thought about replacing the container with a bigger one, but wasn't sure if that was the right thing to do as it wasn't our cache.
Couldn't sign log, will wait until there is a new one.
Hope it gets fixed soon as this is a nice spot to get people to come to.
Cheers

A reasonably easy find, but like others before us, we found a wet cache and logbook, partly due to the contents being slightly to large for the container, and the nature of the concealment.
I added a pice of paper to one of the coin bags, but i dont think it will stay dry long.
A great spot for a cache, but maybe a larger container is needed.

Dropped off a bag of mainly Vietnamese coins which were rescued by Bundyrumandcoke and Camhelen from an archived cache. They were pretty sad when we got them so we first tried vinegar and salt without much effect, next was citric acid and then coke and finally CLR before they became remotely respectable so they are definitely 'lucky coins'.
The cache was full to the top with water so the logbook was unusable

With luck, a very large injection of foreign coins may be made to this cache in the very near future.
A TB rescue mission was made this morning to a local archived cache. In addition to the liberated TB's, there is also a large (approx 30 coins) coin bounty now with nowhere to go.
It turns out a member of my fellow rescuers family, a previous finder of this cache, is heading up this way soon, and hopefully will make a large deposit.
Cheers

Found without too much trouble. evcn though the co-ords seemed to be a fair bit out.
An interesting theme for a cache, had bucketeer Jr, very excited at the prospects.
Unfortunately most of the coins seem to have been traded for Aussie currency (and no $200 coins either).
Cache and log were soaked and it was not possible to sign the log.
No swaps made.
Thanks.

A nice easy stroll along the beach and I arrived at GZ.
It took a bit of finding though.

Found at 0815. Nice quick easy find. Co Ordinates spot on. GPSr took me straight to GZ. Took Coin Left Coin TFTC.
[Well we found it! It took some time of looking but it was my own fault. We arrived and there were a couple of Muggles nearby so we sat and appeared to be looking at the view. Once the muggles had moved on we set about looking but finding nothing. After about 20min I decided to have one more look after reading the logs and finding the container was smaller than originally thought and I reminded my self it was supposed to be an easy find (it is). Believe it or not the container was within 50cms of where I put my toosh upon arriving at gz! Took nothing (too many Aus coins), left a Thai coin.]
[Hint:] It's a small systema (spelling?) container

Had a little problem with this one, not finding the GZ but looking for the tubular canister. We did however find the new cache and the co-ords are spot on.

Well finally found on the second attempt for the day after checking coords, cache must have been replaced and the details not updated as it is no 180m long 50mm at the most threw me a little first time, finally found it.

Took 1 coin and replaced by another.

Really needs a new log sheet for a small cache if somebody could drop 1 off.

WanderingAus wandered by on day sixty-nine of a 6 month trip Wandering Australia and made an easy find.
My find No 676, LCC, TNLNSL, dropped my WanderingAus Happy New Year 2008 Gold GC in for a visit before grabbing it back again.

Found at 1025. It was a very easy find because it was exposed, recovered to camo better.
Had to make two trips to this one as some clown had entered the wrong coordinates into his GPSr. Left a 10 sen from Brunei and took 50 Australian cents. The log sheet is full and needs to be replaced. T4TC.
Drove as close as we could and crossed some wet fields. Had an easy walk to the ocean and retrieved the cache.
Found in the company of WitchPig. We were in the area for another reason and took the opportunity to grab a couple of caches that were still in place after the flooding!! TFTC
Had a nice walk and found it easily with the help of the Reluctant Companion on our trip to Mackay. TN Left a 20c Singapore coin. TFTC.
Found this cache after a walk along the beach. The only purpose of going to this cache was to mark it off the list as we had no coins to swap. Will return to this one at a time when we have some coins to put in.
Found while on holidays from the Sunshime Coast. TFTC. I use to live not far from this cache 4 years ago. Not much has changed....the beach was empty...not a muggle in sight. The coins were on the common side...$1, 50c, 20c...etc. Shame people have not taken the theme on they have replaced rare coins with common ones. Signed log and TNLN.
Found @ 11:30am Another great beach, luckily not many mugglers around today. TNLNSL TFTC
Easy find on a deserted beach. Left Australian "International Year of Peace" $1 coin. Took 2 x Geocoins to help them on their travels.
am logging this in retro for last year, for some reason it didn't log...took a coin, left a coin...cheers!
revisited with the intention of swapping bugs ...
but the cache container has changed to something considerabley smaller than when I last visited [:o]
was going to drop some geocoins, but the notes etc hanging off them made them to big for this container ...
as a result opted to log them through, and just discover the ones in residence
thanks freaky

Found at 11:36am by my father who we'd taken along for the ride. His first ever find.
Cache was in good condition although the size of the container does not match the cache description.
Took nothing, left nothing.

Fourth cache of the day! The three pigs had a great walk to and from this one.
Found easily, took nothing but left a geocoin (which is a kind of coin!).
Walked via the beach on the way back, and saw quite a bit of coral, sea sponges, crabs and anemones. It was quite an experience for the Piglet! He got lots of dire warnings about not touching things on Queensland beaches. Tassie beaches are so tame in comparison!

Located this cache at 14:30 after braving the weather, contianer is still in good shape and log has remianed dry in the shocking weather that is around at the moment. Put aus 50c coin in to give it some weight and keep the momentum of this cahce going forward. Kids had fun in the wet sand. Beautiful area and one that I haven't experienced even though I am a local.
tks.

With thanks to Liz and Bruce (Hardcore cachers indeed) this little cache is back up and running.
This is such a beaut spot and with the owners permission this one is back up and running now. We added our coin to the other we found there and also a log scroll and pencil. Thanks.
Even though this cache is disabled, I thought I would head out to the spot anyway, as I was passing by. Found the location fairly easily, and certain I found the correct spot, as there was a small depression in the ground at the base of a tree, with a convenient piece of bark covering the spot. Located at 1150 hrs. The cache owner can confirm my theory if the cache is replaced in the same spot, as I left 20 cents in the depression, under the bark. Therefore only a note, and not a find.
Cheers

Well, I FOUND IT at least. The lid is fused shut & the contents sound like yuk.... Nice spot though.
Nice location on the beach, took nothing, left an Australian 1c coin. Note:- the cache has water in it, the log is all but ruined and needs drying out and the coins are all going rusty, sorry, did not have time to dry it out for you.
Found cache at about 3pm on Australia Day 2007. Not too hard to find - very hot walk to the stash though but a nice stroll back along the beach. Signed the log. Took NZ 50c and left Aussie 50c with Weary Dunlop on it. Thought this a good trade in honour of the day.
Our third and final cache for the day. We were staying in a caravan park not that far from GZ so we unpacked the car and head off on foot. Found cache easily enough. TNLNSL but we did pick up the geocoin. Thanks for the cache.

Found this one around 5:15pm with Scamp. Great area and GPS took us straight to it. This so far has been my favorite cache and spent quite a bit of time looking at all the different coins. Even was convinced to walk along the beach for a while by Scamp.
This cache needs a serious dry out.
Took: NZ Penny
Left: Bicentennial USA Quarter and Two USA Pennies. (And massive quanity of prinkles)

Well, i went back this arvo and the cache is still there in one piece however there is no firewood around if people are looking at starting a bonfire on the beach
As promised, i have finished signing the log, however my Geocoin label would not fit into the small diameter container. I will endeavour to drop the coin into another cache nearby (hopefully at Cape Hillsborough).

Went to finish signing the log (as promised) and found a dozen teenagers setting up a bonfire on the beach right next to the track! They were breaking branches and dragging logs from GZ (one standing within 5m of GZ).
I couldn't find a way to grab the cache, however i believe it is still safe. I will be back tomorrow to check on the cache and hopefully drop off my geocoin.
BTW there are no crocs in this area and you will be looking at the stinger-free enclosure from GZ. Enjoy the area....

I just get home from 25000km of travelling around parts of Australia only to find there is a cache close by and it has a Geocoin associated with it. Yippee, and a FTF after sitting here for a couple of weeks!
A nice area to sit and enjoy our home and rest the weary legs.....even though we love travelling, we love home. The beaches are just beautiful.
Found the very well stocked cache, and collected the Geocoin for another trip somewhere. I like the idea of the log signing, though i have left the space black for my "IN" as i only arrived home this morning and havent had a chance to find a coin or three. Will stop in very soon and complete the transaction.
Thanks for the great cache location.
