After two DNFs, I thought I'd best check in on the cache. Happily, for me, it's still there.Sorry you couldn't find it, but I hope you'll come back some time.Happy geocaching,Lat&Long Junkie
After an event in nearby Springwood, continued on over this way, to try and smilie out the area, being as I had managed to solve all the puzzles before heading across the ditch from NZ.This trad was in the area as well, so made the detour off into the forest to have a look. Certainly a large critter crossing, but after 15 minutes searching and no luck, had to move on. Thx anyway for the placement.
I visited this area a long time ago and only found a few caches and I ran out of water and since then I've kept putting my return visit off but today we decided to return to add a few Smilies to my tally. This was a great cache and easy to access. Log signed and cache replaced as found.Sadly I will have to return again to finish this group as I felt very poorly at last cache and had to sit and take a break, after a while we very slowly made our way back to the car, I didnt run out of water this time so it looks like another visit is on my list. 8/1/2024 Find #6789It is the last week of holidays for me. And I am determined to get out and have some fun. And after a slow and rainy start to the day, I finally decided I really should make the most of it, drizzle or not. I opted to head over this side of town. I had one or two particular caches that were on my list of caches I want to work on signing off this year, and once Id achieved one of those, I took a peek at the nearby caches on my map and noticed I had the whole circuit I could achieve in here today. Having already got myself well and truly drenched a short while earlier, I opted NOT to walk over the critter crossing after the fresh downpour that had happened. I figured I didnt want to see just what superhero powers I did or did not possess, and opted for attempting to get out of here without the help of emergency services. So I made the careful leap over instead and soon had cache at hand. Thanks for the cache lat&long junkie.
An appropriate cache name for GZ, bit of a bush bash, but successfully signed the log, TFTC lat&long junkie
Out and about this morning to pick up a few south side caches on a beautiful sunny winters day in south east Queensland.
Found a safe place to park the car and made my way to ground zero to locate the cache. Didn’t take long before the cache was in hand and pen applied to the log. Returned the cache to its hiding place and trudged back to the car
A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.
Cheers

Gps was sending me around and around. 4th for today. Spotted after a bit of a hunt. All good with the cache. This critter will now cross back over to the bike. TFTC
Solved this puzzle a long time ago. Today I insisted that we go on a family bushwalk. Exercise, sunshine and caches. Even the little fluff ball of a pup came with. That creek crossing looks fun although I decided not to push my luck and chose the low ground instead. Cache is in good condition and although there are many places it could be hiding, I did find it pretty quickly.
I noticed recently that this cache is one of the oldest around which was still unfound by me, but I decided independently of that to go after the ‘last place’ multi today, and this one was kind of along the way (kind of).
With darkness falling, I was moving fast and of course went both ways over the crossing with no dramas.
TFTC which I see was the CO’s first and thankfully not the last!

Lots of hiding places for this cache, but with Shazzar66 doing the acrobatics, and me taking the low road, the cache was found pretty quickly. Maybe that makes Shazzar66 the critter!! This was our only Trad this morning and all was well here. TFTC
TFTC. I am always impressed when the hide sits in harmony with the piece of nature that is being highlighted. This cache does this well.
We are out and about ,doing some puzzle caches in this area, couldn't leave without tracking down this olde..I was surprised to see how good a condition the cache is in..
Out and about on a very humid afternoon with chamad and geodog Bella, we wandered around collecting some more of the great caches in this area.
Thanks lat&long junkie for the cache, certainly a great place for the critters to get from one side to the other.

This morning, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I took a drive south, and walked a circuit around Kuraby Bushland. We arrived as baby continued to sleep, so a few driveby geocaches were visited in the area, before then preparing for our walk. We parked off Rubicon Crescent, and proceeded clockwise around the vicinity, using *Taking up the slack* multi-cache as a guide, and walking the Shipp Circuit, partially following the Boronia Trail and Woody Pear Trail, then following the boundaries along the Gateway Outlook Trail, before finally meandering back to the trailhead along the Shipp Circuit. An enjoyable 5.7 km walk completed over 2:35 hr on a nice morning, with a visit to Sunnybank for a delicious lunch.
We approached this geocache from the north, and the scrubland wasn't too dense that it didn't seem to be an issue. It wasn't long before we found the cache, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Awesome to see the original 2006 logbook inside this container too! We took the TB for onwards travels. Thanks lat&long junkie for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance. It was nice to have found this oldie 02/2006 hidden cache, of which is one of Queensland's 500 oldest yet active geocaches.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

I was needing a cache for a month challenge so came to this area for that cache and a few others too that I had previously solved. This traditional was also in the area. There are a few good hidey holes here but then spotted the well covered cache with some critters making a home of it. But all good inside. Tftc
On a second visit & with a nudge from the CO can now make this a smiley. There is a TB here but attempts to log it have been unsuccessful. Perhaps the next person will have some luck TFTC
Out today with muggle daughter, RoddyC, grannysmith1947 and a couple of furry friends.
Today we took the critter crossing over the road and on to the cache. A nice easy walk along some animal tracks.
Easy find in something that really stood out.

We were acting a cache in trash out event in this forest and we had the opportunity to try and find critters crossing. We counted down the meters until we had about 100 to go. The phone / gps started to play around. Not knowing the area took a minute to get back on track. Off on a new angle we spotted the crossing about 30 metres out. Once at the crossing, had a good explore and then on to find the cache. A certain piece of camo looked promising and Lo and behold, we had a well aged cache in hand. Had a bit of a read of the log book, and thankfully there was a pencil inside. Dry logbook was signed and placed safely back where it was found. Thanks very much for the cache lat&long junkie.
Today I had time to pick up the caches around here that have been on my to do list for ages. I Started at nariel place with my mountain bike. All up 6km ride . I did an extra 1 km as i missed a cache on the way round and had to double back. I also Walked some hills. This took 2 hours all up. This was my 4th find and at gz I saw the critter crossing but as I was by myself I took the easy way to gz and I went to the obvious spot first but then noticed something and there was the cache. Thanks for taking me here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
Great to be out here and having a lovely walk on this spring day. It’s quite windy and the sky is a little overcast with dust in it, however the temperature is beautiful for a walk.
At GZ we had fun deciding whether to walk straight across the bridge, or take the lower track into the creek bed. It was great fun taking the bridge and after a short search we were able to add our names to the logbook. Lovely to find this one in a great bush area. We also enjoyed looking at the overhead wires and hope that the animals get to use them to cross the main road.
Thanks lat&long junkie

The main reason for our visit to this segment of bush was this cache. We have been working on a challenge that requires you to work out how Tupperware behaves in the sun. In this case it is behaving above average.
Normally above-average is an exceptional score but like an above-average Queensland wine, it needs a bit of J-curve magic to help it perform.
I couldn’t work out if all the tracks from the critter crossing over the main road are from real critters or humans. I found a piece of scat nearby and the smell-test was indeterminate. The texture test also did not provide a result. However the taste-test result revealed that I can make millions of dollars by selling sh$t to vegans. tftc

Today I was out with Selva Girls grabbing a letterbox I needed and getting a stage finished of M.C.B.C. Then where shall we go. There was bush land close by with some multi and mystery close by of for a walk we go.
22 caches for the day 1 letterbox, 3 multi, 10 mystery and 8 traditional
We had lots of fun today a few paf for information and help to find. Thank you for the help that was given.
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. lat&long junkie TFTC *480* streak. *2907* Finds

I like this cache, it's thriving around this area. My last visit was a year after a bushfire. TFTC.
I attempted to reach this cache some time ago while caching on the other side of the road. That day I was unaware you could actually use the critter crossing so I didn't try very hard to find its other end.
Today I approached along the Kuraby Forest tracks and soon had the cache at GZ. Then I took a walk along the crossing...TFTC!

Thought I would take the dog for a walk and try a couple of puzzles and multis - however, I should have read the clues and worked out my maths better before leaving home - so I decided to make this my find of the day. A pleasant walk in the breeze and a quick find too. TFTC
Out in the Kuraby forest for a few caches this morning.
Still wet from the rain last night the forest was calm.
Enjoyed reading entries in the old original log before signing, it myself
Thank you for this one

A scorching summer morning was spent riding the trails of Karawatha, Stretton and Kuraby seeking solved puzzles, older hides and a new virtual.
A short detour and this one was soon found. In great shape for it's age, nice to find.

Out in the open when I eventually got to it. Mozzies and flies, a natural part of the environment.
An early morning drive down from Toowoomba with Kestal to grab a few caches. We noticed the publication of a few new multis in this area so decided to head here and picked this one up one our walk around. The weather was threatening but we managed to complete our walk dry and then the heavens opened. TFTC lat&long junkie.
Today Eskies5 and I decided to head down from Toowoomba to this area for the second time in a week. This cache has popped up on my radar a few times over the various trips around this area but have never quiet made it to GZ. As we left the last hide we headed toward the next and ummed and ahhhed over the best entrance to this one. I think we got it right as it was a short walk in and then a quick search before Eskies5 made the find. I left a TB here to continue its journey. TFTC lat&long junkie
The game of the day was yakking but having decided the weather may (or may not) precipitate, we decided to stick to foot today. It started off with ️ and ended with a stroll thru the forest
This is my first visit to the forest on this side of the motorway. We’d already walked past it as Ruzzelz had a previous find, so a bit of (patient) backtracking after I realised it required my attention. Cache in fine condition!
We need more critter crossings... EVERYWHERE

Having visited Uncle Bob, we made use of the big critter crossing nearby. It seemed an opportune spot to change or muddy shoes and then we noted the movement activiated cameras, obviously meant for critters and not smelly geocachers.
There was a bit of discussion about what we could potentially do for the cameras to put a smile on the wildlife researchers faces, but in the end, we behaved.
This one was found quickly and jeznDez and I returned by the handy bridge to the track where the others waited. Thanks LLJ

We channelled our inner critter while using the crossing, and tried very hard not to do anything too incriminating with all the university wildlife cameras around! Crookedpete and I made a quick find here. TFTC
This took us longer than it should have but got there in the long run and had a quick find once we found the way to GZ after a false start of not finding the right access from the main road.

Monday. The SPs were out Chermside way today to pick up some new PC speakers. After a spot of lunch, time for some random - and some targeted - caches! Parked in the area clearly allocated for cachers - they must be expecting a lot of them! After some compass bounce, it finally settled on the place where the cache should be - and was - if it hadn't been for Mr SP's cache blindness, it would have been spotted a good 5 minutes prior.
This was the 4th of 5 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***lat&long junkie***, for showing us this place.

Look at that... 'GCTEXT'. An easy one to remember.
I had a variety of different caching goals I was looking at this sunny afternoon in March. I found a cache for my next loop, my traditional loop, an old cache, and a Hidden Month cache...this cache ticked the last box, and was a pleasure to find LLJs first cache by the looks of it. The adventure of getting to this cache is a prime example of a 'starter cache' of a bastard hider(thats a compliment by the way).I enjoyed crossing the critter crossing, the big one, not the small one. I enjoyed walking over the log. Was this the log in one of your videos?

I'd just finished a twelve hour night shift and had made plans to drop by here this morning on my way home and cross the critter bridge to get this cache
So I parked near the North entrance to Karawatha forest and set off down the inside of the fence to the critter crossing. I didn't see any large critters on the crossing, but I did startle a wallaby when I got to the other side
A short walk once I was on the other side, and found the nice sized container under a nice big flat piece of wood [^] Everything inside was nice and dry as the container was well sealed by the previous finder
The log book was extracted, and dutifully signed and dated. I replaced it back into the cache and also dropped off a travel bug I have been carrying around for a while. Someone else can help it continue on with its journey now
Then I headed off to cross back over the critter bridge and then go look for an archived cache with a very interesting history!
Thanks for the cache lat&long junkie

Nice one Frodes!! Loved the crossing, the area was an adventure in itself! FBSG
Cache find #640. How cool is this area. It's not too bush so it was easy for the kids and loved the tree bridge also. SL TNTS TFTC
Well this turned out to be a great little adventure. I thoroughly enjoyed the walk down the fence line, over the crossing and over the log to GZ. I managed to startle a couple of critters on the crossing but I didn't see what they were, way too fast and all I heard was the rustling. Some governing body obviously does research here, going by the pink pegs, tree tags and white buckets in the ground. Not sure what the buckets are for, well apart from storing a few toads in, on the crossing anyway.
My phone was jumping around a bit which caused me to wander for a minute or so but I could have kicked myself when I eventually found it.
How cool is it to find an old cache with the original log book inside? Lucky for me today there was enough space to sign in under The Nanks, who signed it 10 years earlier to the day, how cool.
Definitely worthy of a favorite point, thanx again L&L junkie

Of course it was 't on the critter crossing but off into the bush we go for a reasonably quick find. Tftc and now I'm off for a well earned lunch.
Tftc, found it after a work job near by. Have the travel bug that was inside.
After completing Taking up the Slack with a group, I bid adieu and headed around to do Its in the last place you look.
After finding the final coordinates, I decided to continue on and collect this lonely little traditional before backtracking to get the multi.
I was expecting the critter crossing to be the one over the road so was surprised to find this one here.
While looking for the cache at GZ I inadvertently stepped on it and looked down and thought I wonder. It turned out my hunch was right.
All good here. TFTC lat&long junkie

On the way to GZ for a multi with Mr + Mrs Roddy C, Team Benders and Nadine1989 and decided that we would all make a pit stop here before hand. Black Flag 001, Mrs Roddy C and I went over the log on our way to GZ and after all of us getting to the destination Black Flag 001 came up with the find. TFTC, signed and returned.
We were out today with Black Flag 78, Black Flag 001, Team Benders and Nadine1989, going through this northern part of Karawatha Forest Park, so we just HAD to detour to do this one. As we came down the hill towards Compton Road with its noisy traffic, we could see the Koala Crossing looming up, so knew it was time to head bush as the GPSrs suggested and find this cache.
There was a TB inside, which we all "visited", other contents inspected and log book signed by all present. It is nice to have this as a yellow smiley on our geocaching map.
Found at 11.15am on 3rd February 2016. TFTC.

Found this cache on our tour wit Team Benders, RoddyC and Black Flag crew. I really enjoy caching together more than on my own.
On a nearby multi circuit of the CO I called by to pick this one up - unfortunate I swung by one cache too early, as I ended up doubling up a bit on my circuit. But hey....what a beautiful day to be doing it!
WOW was this really your first cache? How far you have come sir!
Nice sleight of hand indeed.
Thanks again for a great walk today.

After a lunch at IKEA with Captain Terror and Net88, Tdimdad and I continued on our favourite point mission (deciding to bring Captain Terror and Net88 along too!) and headed over to a multi nearby but when we were waiting for Tdimdad to figure out the final coordinates we realised that THIS cache was very close by (not unlike others)! Wasn't on our list but at the amount of favourite points it had and how close, we weren't going to say no! We stayed a little longer to work out the coordinates of the original cache we were heading to and then we were off to this one.
We saw the lovely crossings that the government made for the possums that never use them, went past those and got to the point of turning into the bush. In we went and it wasn't long before we saw the crossing and got to GZ.
We spread out to find it and Net88 goes "is it there", in a joking manner .... Doesn't hurt to look! Well, well, well, what do we have here? Net88, your caching skills are too great! We signed it off and went over the crossing and back on our path to the original cache. TFTC!

Captain Terror and I had joined Sezzz and Tdimdad for lunch and we decided to grab a couple of geocaches together when we were done. Tdimdad had organised the information required for a nearby multi cache and when we were at the second last waypoint I realised we were close-ish to this cache. Well as close as I have ever been.
I had my work cut out for me trying to convince Sezzz and Tdimdad that we needed to find this one but Captain Terror spoke in favour of my cause and soon we were heading down the hill towards this cache. We had a laugh at the thought of trying to train possums to use the high ropes course over the road.
Before too long we were at GZ and we started hunting around. I spotted something not quite right and since Sezzz was only centimetres from it I got her to check. There is the container! We signed our names in the logbook, replaced the container as found and headed back to finish the multi. Thanks for the cache lat&long junkie.

Out with Sezzz collecting caches for the Road Trip '15 FP10+ souvenir. We had decided to enhance the challenge by going beyond the requirement of one cache with at least 10 favourite points by targeting multiple caches with in total at least 100 FP's. This was cache #6 on our trip and by now we had well and truly exceeded that 100-point mark but wanted to do a couple more good ones. Half-way through the trip we were joined by Net88 and Captain Terror for a walk and Net88 for hunt of a nearby multi.
We had done all of the interim waypoints of that multi when Captain Terror suggested we'll do a little detour to this traditional while we are close to it. Being already weary and tired of all morning of hunting (and digesting a massive load of Swedish-inspired meatballs) we were hesitant first but how can you be rude and say no when almost next to it? So, we trotted down the hill to make the find.
On the way Captain Terror pointed out the wonderful possum-crossing overhead bridges and we wondered how would a possum know to go the opposite direction, climb up a right tree and then take the ropes across the road when he wants to get to the other side? Perhaps we could rather set up flying foxes / ziplines here.
We took the bush-bashy way in to the GZ, Net88 and Sezzz made a very logical find, we signed the log, took the magnificent bridge out of the GZ, and continued our trip towards the multi final.
All good here. TFTC, Lat&Long Junkie!
We had done all of the interim waypoints of that multi when Captain Terror suggested we'll do a little detour to this traditional while we are close to it. A quick find with others while waiting for talk & walk on the Landbridge by Karawatha Forest Protection Society. Nice one
Nice little walk in with a meeting day for the critter crossing group, a couple of us shot out to find this one and the main group was talking and meet-n-greet. A nice age to this one and in good condition TFTCSL
After visiting family today we decided we had time for one cache before heading home. And this was it.
Made our way up and over the crossing. There must be lots of research happening on the other side if the pink ribbons and silver tags are any indicator. Anyway, on to GZ we strode. Found the cache and added our name to the log.
Thanks for all your parking and crossing suggestions - made it so much easier.
TNLNSL. All good with this cache.

So today was a bit of a spontaneous caching day for me. I had seen a post on Facebook by How Wheels Duo earlier in the morning but didn't think I would have time in the day to join the group. Fast forward to lunch time, however, and guess what?! I was ahead of the game for the day and so decided to make a dash for Brisbane.
While between two WP's at a nearby multi, it was suggested we make a detour and grab this one while we were nearby. We did and soon the log book had a number of extra names added. TFTC. TNLN. SL.

IolantheK and I jointed up with a group to do lat&long junkie's " It's in the last place you look" and made a diversion here along the way.
I spotted something a bit out of the ordinary and made a quick find [^]
Now back to the other cache!

Although I've geocaching with Geomum, this was my first find under my own Geoname. Went with a group to do a geocaching hike.
With a group doing a nearby multi when someone mentioned that this one was nearby. A small group of us headed off down the hill. We went past this one and had to couble back a short distance. Once we were in the right area, the cache was a quick find
Followed the trail along whilst doing a multi in the area and made the find with the group. Nice find. Tftc
T-Tech and I joined a group to do this CO's nearby multi. While we were working our way through all the WPs we took a side trip to grab this cache as it was only a short walk away. I was surprised we didn't end up on the actual crossing, but we followed the numbers and T-Tech made a quick find. TFTC, lat&long junkie.

I have visited the Critter Crossing on the north side so it was time to visit the one on the south side.
Parked at coordinates and made my way up over the crossing.
When I arrived at the other side there were fine black nets which I almost ran into against the dark background. Griffith university students are running a field study on how many birds use the crossing. I came across two untangling a little silver eye from the net and then they were going to band it.
They said that they had only seen about 5 people cross here in the last year. They said have a good bush walk and off I went. I got to GZ and I could see lots of silver tags on all the trees about. Must be another field study. Found the cache in good condition and added my name to the list and took the TB which I will log. Now to get back around the nets again without walking into them. No one around.
TTBLNSL TFTC Thanks lat&long junkie All good with this cache
A favourite from me

Made good use of the 'critter crossing' coming from the Karawatha side and quickly arrived at the smaller version
A quick find and all Ok with the cache and log.
Dropped off the 'Brumby Jack' TB while we were there.
