I had some time in Balaclava to go caching but as it was raining, I thought I would spend my time in the Library looking for the solution... until I looked at the previous logs... until it is confirmed that the cache is still there, it looks like that would be a waste of time.
Please can we get a check on this cache before we travel interstate and try find it. Cheers
Had so much fun solving this puzzle, put could not find cache at solved coordinates. Hoping it is still there as last find was 2 years ago
With current COVID restrictions, it seems the "specific item" is currently inaccessible.
The whole area has been redevoloped into a newer more open space, lot of the same features are there but area has been cleaned up. Still under all behind fences for the last few months.
On my worldtrip I also search for geocaches and this virtual was one of the founds.
Arrived in Australia some days ago and my first visit is Melbourne. Today visiting St. Kilda, a very nice and crazy place with some nice geocaches. This mystery was high on my list because of the hidden month. I want to fill up my Jasmer for the 2nd time and this month was one of the missing ones.
So i started in the Library, got 3 books with flags and started to search..... luckily the first book had almost all the answers. As already mentioned by other cachers, there are some pages missing in the book, so for one serie of 3 pictures there was no answer. But it is a puzzle, right? and a good geocacher has to know how to solve this. And so I did.
Then the search in the field..... there were no mugglers around, so that was ok, but still could not find the container. I sent a message to the co, asking that I was on the right spot or not..... and one minute after sending this message I found the container, haha
Cache is in perfect condition, dry and almost new logpaper with lots of space.
This mystery deserves a favo, because
- I love books and being in a library
- It was a nice puzzle
- Cache is maintained in good condition for more than 14 years
Thank you for this oldie and greetings from The Netherlands.

Today we found Reference on our travels. This puzzle was sorted in years past and has been sitting on the solved pile way too long! So many caches, not enough time! For a tiny little tucked away spot it was all happening here today. Local ladies chatting away on one perch in one corner while we tried to be discreet and hunt in another while it felt like half the suburb were strolling back and forth along the path!
Thanks sbalogh53 for being part of our geocaching fun.

Another fun evening with beckNmonts, headed for some solved puzzles as well as hopefully a couple of Multi's. Good to be able to put pen to paper and cross this one off the list.
Many thanks to sbalogh53 for the cache. TNLN.

It was great to finally be able to sign this one. Thanks for placing the cache sbalogh53 and for the puzzle.
4th time here and still no trumps. First 2 result ed in no luck, 3rd time at dusk had to abandon as it's a local homeless area, forth time still nothing, found a number of sharps though despite being a local playground. Deciding to abandon this one for the time being.
This has been my nemesis cache for some time and indeed today was my fourth visit. I solved the puzzle many many moons ago when geotoddler was the age that geobub is now. I went to the recommended source only to find that some of the pages were missing! And they were required pages! So I made an educated guess (a correct guess as it turns out) and tried for the cache... no luck. So I went home contacted the CO who confirmed my coordinates and I returned. Still no luck. So I put it in the "too hard basket" and forgot about it. Until this month when I decided to attempt 31 puzzle caches in a month. I saw that it had been replaced since I had last looked, so I thought this would be an easy one. Came back and had a look, still no dice!!!!! Today I came back to the area with the geofamily to try and get all those previous failures. I looked around with no luck. Geopartner said "What about there". I'd just been there but I thought I would humour him... and there it was! So I am happy that we found it - but a bit annoyed that I didn't see it earlier. Nevermind! Mamy thanks to the CO for this one. I think it is a clever puzzle. This is actually the 31st puzzle find of the month, so it is a bit of a happy dance here.
I solved this and looked for the cache a few weeks ago. No luck so I abandoned the search and watched the cache. Someone else found it so it was time for me to pounce again. This is a very well hidden cache.
As I'm now 3 months behind in my logging I am desperately trying to catch up and am mass logging to do so.
Today I picked up Fjalinas (Maggie), who I had met last night at an event, and spent a wonderful day with her very patient and lovely company and also the great company of leafotwind for a large part of the day, too, as he had mentioned yesterday catching a punt across to an island in the Yarra Now how were we girls ever meant to resist that offer![?]
I managed to find 8 caches and only had 1 DNF but oh what a horrid feeling that DNF was as I got hit by a dog and messed up my hips, knees and walking for at least 2 months
On the upside, I'd spent last night sleeping in the car at St Kilda so now I can say that I've seen St Kilda Yours actually looks a LOT better than our St Kilda in SA
I arrived to pick up Fjalinas and this cache, which has been in my GSAK for far too long was so very close by that it had to start the day for us both! [^]
Huey, Dewey and Louie and only 1 of them is connected to referencing

I found the book and found all the pics, so I had the correct coordinates. Went to GZ. I sifted through a lot of leaf matter etc but could not find the cache. After half an hour I gave up. There is a lot of sawdust around so work has been happening in that area. So maybe the cache is there or maybe not. I will watch it and go back if someone else finds it.
Was cleaning up a piles of printed out geocache mystery and multi... include this one..
This one was almost finish to work out...finally finish off collect the clues & recalculate
Looked up Google earth... hmm.. its possible cache is hiding there.
Visited today..
So happy to cross out one of my bucket list.
thanks sbalogh53

Almost a year ago I had collected the information required to calculate the GZ but had not luck finding the cache. Today we were in the area collecting information for another Mystery Cache in the area when we drove past the GZ. I slammed the brakes on and found, with a modicum of difficulty, a parking space. At the GZ I checked where I had checked last year but then saw another potential hiding spot...Yes...it was there. TNLN. TFTC.
I remember looking at this one when I first started caching and setting it aside as too difficult. Well, after having gained a reasonable amount of experience and knowing the area I didn't even have to trouble myself with looking up the reference.
Instead I confirmed my suspicion with a previous finder and although I had visited GZ once prior the muggle situation made it impossible to undertake a thorough search. Not so today, though. After some probing and prodding the cache was located and one of the last remaining local caches was turned into a smiley.
Thanks for the fun, sbalogh53, much appreciated.

Busy morning but an easy find in the end

First cache for the morning - and the coffee chai latte set were in the park with their kids. Luckily the play area is just far enuf away so that a grown man does not look suspicious around a playground.
Lots of cobwebs were discovered before the cache was. Hate that so early in the morning.
Thanks to sbalogh53 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

A bit of a marathon effort here at GZ. As I walked there a muggle was quietly minding his own business on his phone. I searched with my eyes and then sat down to eat some nuts and have a drink. Still no movement. I decided I needed and apple to eat and considered sitting right next to him in the hope he would move on. I didn't. I just waited and he left of his own accord. I zeroed in on the cache and signed in and headed back to the trams to return to Melbourne.
Happy to have a smiling face now.

I've had this mystery on the back-burner for a very long time, waiting for the day I happen to be in the area at the right time. On an afternoon/evening of picking up solved mysteries, today Bend Sinister and I ventured in to the big smoke. We spent some time searching for the required item in one particular area. After asking a staff member for help, she tells us it is no longer in that particular area, and actually may be borrowed at any time. We head over to the relevant section, to eventually find the required item. Phew, it's not out on loan! Once we had retrieved the relevant information (albeit an educated guess needed to be made for one of them), we made our way to gz - by this time it was quite dark. Rummaging around for some time, we eventually located and signed the nicely hidden cache. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache, sbalogh53.

I quite like these sort of mysteries and, being a member, had tried in vain in find the correct book on a previous library visit. Maybe it was out on loan at that time; there's currently no guarantee the required tome will be sitting waiting on these shelves. Today we *did* find the required book, after OzHockeyChick had a word to library staff. Said staff member said she had received such a request in the past but she nevertheless led us to a book I'm pretty sure I ruled out last time around. But all was not lost: Melvil Dewey saved the day! It wasn't long before we were matching images in a more promising publication. While not a quick process we were clearly making good progress. Eventually we had one unidentified page that we could not resolve but, to cut a long story short, we did some bonus unscheduled mathematical jiggery-pokery to get promising coords. At GZ the cache was extremely well-hidden for a container of this nature. I'd have thought we'd scoured that particular area pretty thoroughly, but OHC fished it out a after a number of passes. Nice work. Thanks sbalogh53!
With a big day planned for the St Kilda area with Na'wal and DAB, we set off from Geelong in the early hours of the morning while it was still dark to tackle a series, Event and collect pre solved mysteries. After a friendly event close by we set off with McLookers to tackle the research needed for this one and then work our way through the calculations to find GZ.
Thanks sbalogh53 for the puzzle and placement.

DAB, theTritonz and myself had a big day planned up and around the St. Kilda area. We set off from Geelong in the early hours of the morning before the sun had risen. Our main goal for the day was to complete the Quest series. It was another great, fun day out with awesome company [^] and some great caches found.
Not an easy puzzle, takes some time to work the way through it. Once we had a set of numbers, we searched a little before finding this one well hidden. Signed and replaced as found.
**Thanks for this puzzle cache, sbalogh53** [^]
**Cache container and log good in good condition**

After attending an event in the general vicinity, we then headed out to collect some solved puzzles. This one had me scratching my head for a while until the penny dropped. It took a bit of searching for the clever hide as well. TFTC sbalogh53
After the event today, this was one of our targeted caches and my last for the day. With many heads and eyes focussed on this, we made quick work of the puzzle. Also a quick find at GZ with the Geelong contingent.
I had driven to Balaclava with the bike in tow and after parking up I set off on the treadly to grab a few caches. After completing a few in the area I thought that I would take the time to do some research.
I found the specific item I needed and quickly set about getting the required information
I was left with one of the sets of clues unsolved and with a bit of reverse engineering I realised that there was a range of pages missing. It was still possible to narrow the GZ down to 3 possibilities of which one looked very promising. I cycled to the candidate GZ and found something that matched the hint exactly where the coordinates took me. Unfortunately I could not find the cache.
I am fairly certain that I was in the correct spot however I am attempting to contact the CO for verification.

Today I managed to head out for a few hours and it was fantastic, cool (compared to yesterday) and no one around anywhere so parking wasn't a problem anywhere. Wife took the small monster with her and the other 2 wanted to play their new video games they got for Xmas so I was on my own again.
After drjim7 replaced this one and I was nearby I had all the time in the world so I parked outside the library which looked closed and then started walked around the suburb randomly looking for places that matched the hint. Luckily I headed in the right direction straight away and 5 minutes later I had drjim7's replacement cache in hand.
Glad I did since I had no idea what to even ask for if I did go into the library or even where to search. This is the 4th puzzle cache this month I have found by randomly searching.
Thanks sbalogh53 for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

After an unsuccessful search I contacted the owner. He was grateful to have the container replaced. I'm glad to record the find. I could have spent far longer reading the source material. The library is pretty cool, an earlier ARM design.
Today was the rainy day I was saving this one for and I thoroughly enjoyed searching for the clues. Didn't want to risk a parking fine so drove around to GZ - was here yesterday on the hunt for another puzzle cache! Searched thoroughly but given it's been a year since it was last found and the area looks like it has had some maintenance, I think this may be muggled.

I'm a big fan of libraries and this one is local to me so I can't believe this one has eluded me for so long. Tarbit had a look for the relevant book after baby story time but no luck. I had a few dead ends with tracking the right book down and even branched out (excuse the pun) to other libraries nearby. With some help (first by email and then in person) from the staff at St Kilda library I eventually got my hands on the book via the recently returned shelf. Once I did I sat in the library and found the relevant page numbers. It was only J that proved really tricky as I recognsied some features of many of them. Some quick calcs and I had a plausible GZ. Even then it's taken me a few weeks to get there as I fell into the trap of saving one close to home for a quiet day despite riding past nearly every day. I did swing past on Sunday but i was cold and wet and din't make the find. This time I was prepared and diligent and soon had the cache in hand. The snails are still protecting it but I managed to give them the slip. I forgot my pen to date it but I did place an AT sticker in the logbook so hope that's OK. Thanks for a clever puzzle sbalogh53 and for the cache.

The book eluded me today. Checked all through the section, then online in the catalogue and found the item listed that I couldn't find. Will return later.
This cache had been on my to do list for way too long ... and today was the day to tackle it, together with GJMMelb and quiet1_au. We found a car park, and went inside. Unfortunately the first lot of books (was it 10 in the series?), although looking very promising, weren't of any help. So we moved away from the REFERENCE section and into the FOLIO section. Quiet1_au was searching for the book he had located in the catalogue, I'd also located the same book, but decided to ask for help rather than look by myself (that's what women do, right?) The librarian guides us to the right section but the book wasn't there... she suggested it could have just been returned and still sit on the trolley (what were the chances!) - but indeed, that's what had happened. She retrieved it for us and we had our final coords calculated in no time at all. Quiet1_au then found the cache after a short search. TFTC and puzzle - what a great feeling to have this one ticked off the list.
Out caching this afternoon with Lochb and Quiet1_au. This was one of our target caches for the afternoon and it proved a challenge. Having parked outside we made our way to the section of the library where we expected to find the required item. There was nothing exactly matching the description but there was something similar. This turned out to be the wrong item, in the wrong place. We then searched other areas of the Library without any success. At this point Quiet1 looked in the catalogue and found a likely item. We looked on the shelf but could not find it. At this point we asked for assistance to locate the item, which had been borrowed but not yet replaced on the shelf. The clues were soon found after this and co-ordinates uncovered.
We then walked the short distance and searched for longer than we should have needed to. Quiet1 eventually locating the cache. Thanks sbalogh53

GJMMelb
After a unplanned detour via Kew we (lochb, G' of GJMMelb and I) ended up at this our first planned cache for the afternoon. What seemed to be a straight-forward information gathering exercise soon proved more complex as we checked first on source, then a couple of others but failed to find all of the required objects... lochb eventually found the right one & not where it is was usually located, so at last we were on track and soon gathered the information we required. Not taking chances two of us worked out the GZ coordinates and compared notes and we headed off on foot. After some time searching the cache eventually was found (curse that extra natural camouflage!) so we could be off - hoping not to have overstayed our welcome in the parking spot... TFTC, a nice puzzle that although straight-forward still had us going for some time.
I am not a fan of library's so I sucked this up the other week and hit the books.. Didn't take too long however worked out gz and stopped by after a day out with pantherx. Tftc Tnln sl
I had some time on my hands before meeting my friends here, so I decided to give this one a try. A quick look didn't net me the reference I was looking for, so I resorted to asking Information for some help (without giving away the nature of the game of course!). Information kindly helped me and pointed me in exactly the right direction, so after some puzzling and poring over the reference I had some numbers and a likely location.
With time running out, I half-jogged to the cache, signed and sealed, then half-jogged back to the meeting point outside Luna Park - to learn that, thanks to the roads, my friends were running quite late. Aigh! Oh well - a cache well-found. Cheers!

Find 862 at 20:53. Today was day 27 of the 31 Days of Geocaching challenge. This was the second closest cache left to home on what has fast become a very short list of nearby caches thanks to the August challenge. I've kept this up my sleeve so that I could use it as a reserve if things got tough... tonight it was time to use it. The good thing about going out that this time was that there were very few muggles around. There was the odd pedestrian that passed by but nothing to raise any concern. The hint made locating the hide easy and I signed the log on the nearby table.
Thanks for the cache, sbalogh53!

With the Geofamily on a shopping trip I used the moment to collect the necessary information to solve this cache. Recognizing the style of several images I focused on them to establish I had the correct reference then found the rest relatively quickly.
At the GZ I was disappointed to see a muggle family were happily playing close by. About to leave when I spied a potential hide that was out of sight of my muggle neighbours so a quick look revealed the prize. Managed to sign the soggy log and rehide it just as another muggle family arrived. TFTC sbalogh53

Find #1086. Found @ 22:55.
I'd looked at this puzzle a few times before, but as most of my caching is done late at night, there was no opportunity to visit the target information source. However, on Monday I was in the area taking my eldest geocachelette to an organised tour of the nearby law enforcement facilities. I jumped at the chance to do some research, and spent a while browsing the designated materials trying to find the right one... and failing miserably.
I got kicked out at closing time and thought that was the end of it for the time being.
Once at home I decided to read past logs and found that the required documents are no longer in the titular section, but instead are in gen-pop. I did some armchair research and determined which was the most likely resource. I went one further and found that it was available in my local university library. On Tuesday evening I ventured out to the higher learning and made short work of matching pictures to pages.
With coordinates calculations under my belt all that remained was to put the puzzle in my solved bucket and sometime make the trip to GZ.
I needed a cache for my p366 calendar square for today, so decided to claim this one. Once on site it was a quick find.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache sbalogh53.

Found the clues with a little help from a friend, and nice to see a small sized park so full of features,

Knew I was going to be in the area so gave myself a bit of extra time to give this one a go.
Specific item was exactly where it was supposed to be, calculations were made, and the find made right where the coordinates said it would be.
Fantastic puzzle, absolutely loved it.
And now off the pub.

I was able to solve this one using a locally available information source. Although I did meet up with my wife near the given coords after finding the cache. Cache was a quick find, contents in good condition. Greetings from across the ditch. TFTC
Not too sure if the required book is where it originally was. Had a long look where I thought the reference should be but no luck. Some of the logs also suggest this. Great idea for a puzzle though. I don't get to Melbourne all that often but if I'm back in St Kilda this is one that I'd like to complete.
I was in the area at the right time to visit the library, but I thought I'd try my luck going by some vague clues from the previous logs - and found the cache after a minute of searching. Sat down to sign the log and a cat was happy to sit on my lap, I think it wanted the attention
Found this one quite some time ago but it was empty. Went back today and signed the temp log. Thanks to dalekdude.
After a tedious search and many calculations the cache was in hand. And yes it was empty. I placed within the cache an A4 piece of paper, so there's plenty of room for names until a logbook can be placed. TFTC
I hit the road tonight with Marshy on our usual Monday night cache run. Trailrunning, who is part of The Demolition Crew was not able to come out this night so it was just myself and Marshy. We had a heap of puzzles solved and multis GZ coords to go to so our plan was to get as many of those during the night, as well as any other cache along the way. We had a great run with about 40 caches netted for the night.
This was just one of many puzzles we had to collect for the night. With confirmation from a previous finder that I had the correct refernc, the information required to find GZ was noted and taken away so that I could work out GZ. Tonight with that info we headed straight to GZ. A quick search and the cache was found but void of a logbook. We took a photo to show we were there.
Thanks for the hide.

One of about 40 finds on another installment in the legendary night caching runs of "The Demolition Crew" aka me, Quasar3671 and Trailrunning. Tonight we were minus Trailrunning, so it was just Marty and I. It was a clean up night for multi's and mystery caches. We have worked on so many over the previous months, tonight was the final chapter for them, time to collect so to speak. So we did.
We consulted Trailrunning on this one. Were able to use the same book he did, well Marty did anyway and solved the GZ solution in preperation for the night run. Found the container, but empty. Sorry, didn't have a spare, but we resorted to a photo log. Can upload for proof of the find. If we are back past that way again, we will drop in a new log book. Just for info. Nice cache too. TFTC.

Found the book and worked out the maths about 2 weeks ago. I went to the GZ and found the cache quite easily. Problem was that the cache was empty. 3 snails have made their home inside. I left them there as I didn't want to see them homeless. How about a new logbook to keep them company?
OK, so I knew what I was looking for - but which one? Not that one, not that one.... Ran out of time on the parking spot, so retired to my own local library but got caught out because the author wrote two versions! Back to the original library armed with some guidance from the cache owner and there it was all the time. Had fun finding the numbers, then a quick cycle to GZ and the cache was in hand. Log is full and very wet. Thanks for an interesting cache.
took me quite a while to find the right book as they are moving everything around currently, but fun little puzzle once i had it. TFTC!
I decided that the 9/10/11 was a great day to go out and find 8 caches (8 on the 9th of the 10th of the 11th, ok well I thought it was funny). This cache, I discovered after an extended search of it’s name sake section of the library, has become a bit of a misnomer! I have emailed the owner to let him know, but future finders should be aware the required reference is no longer in the expected place. You will have to search in other places in the library. Thanks for the cache any way sbalogh53 it’s a good one, even if I did seem to make a mistake with my co-ords and had to use the clue to find the actual cache.
Puzzle was solved awhile ago. Today, I braved the weather to get the cache. It kept showering and then stopping, showering and then stopping, annoying weather. I was walking up and down because my GPS didn't want to settle down but when it finally did, I walked to GZ and found the cache immediately. TFTC sbalogh53

OK I admit, I haven't done the legwork for this cache. I asked somebody what park this was in and I didn't expect it to be in a tiny park like this. Tonight while in the area I made the find very easily. Thanks sbalogh53 and sorry for not solving it

First find of the day
Solved this one quite a while at my local library.
Good to finally get around to finding some of my solved caches.
GZ was an interesting little retreat.
Grabbed to geocoin
Thanks for the puzzle and the hunt

Firstly, this cache is fun and requires thinking and patience. When we first tried to find the tool we needed it wasn't where it was supposed be. You will need to discreetly ask for assistance finding said item. From there you need patience and a good eye. Once the equation was solved it was a quick walk to the final location, where we dropped a geocoin that we had been holding onto for a fun cache! This was a great idea and fun to do with a little bit of time on your hands! TFTC!
Found on a night caching run. The reference was not in the library the last time I visited so I had to find the same reference at the local library near home. All worked out ok. TFTC. SL.

Was really dissappointed today. I knew exactly what I was after but was unable to find it. Looked in all the possible locations and even had library staff help me. The book was not on the shelf. I spent an hour looking for it and it's gone for now. I will try to find the same book at my local library and work on the clues from there. Having taken a day off work for caching this one was a little time consuming and disappointing.
Found today in the on again/off again rain. What fun finding the clues! The final location of the cache is really a little gem as well. TFTC!
Found after being givin a hint from my partner. I really love the nearby street and it's historical houses.
It has taken us awhile to do this cache even though it is the closest one to home. Had some free time this afternoon so decided to give it a try. I've always liked the nearby street. TFTC.
After lots of persistence at the place of knowledge we finaly had the numbers, It was just a short ride to GZ, what a nice place. TFTC
We thoroughly enjoyed working on this cache and learnt some interesting things along the way - GZ was a bit dodgy but it was a quick snatch and grab.

A great cache to do on a winters day while awaiting the start of a nearby Caching Event. It is always interesting to visit other places of knowledge. We soon had the correct information source in hand but one pesky pachyderm really tested our powers of observation. The walk to the GZ was also interesting as we noted the challenge in keeping up the traditional style of architecture whilst utilising modern materials. Good numbers quickly had the cache in hand. We really enjoyed this cache, thanks for taking the effort to put it together.

I really enjoyed this cache; it'd be a good one to do with kids. I didn't bring a pen so I had to record all my clues on the phone and it took longer than it should have, but this was fun and is a great idea. TFTC!

I must admit - I kind of cheated. Myles had the numbers all in place when we headed out to get the tallest tree cache so we stoped by this one first.

Well I thought this was going to be a breeze, waltzed in located the item and began processing.
Oh dear, not the right one
So when I thought I'd located the item it was missing and I thought there would be tears.
Eventually I stumbled across what I needed and quickly calculated gz.

Finally finished this one. Like a similar one of this type we did a while back, it took a couple of visits to gather the required information. Today was the day to see if everything worked out ok. I used the hint and was delighted to actually find the cache.
Thanks for the challenge, sbalogh53.

757. Been looking at this one for awhile, finally decided thst I had to do it. spent an evening trying to identify some of the images, had some luck - so decided to set off to the co-ords given, parked, spent another hour exactly locating the correct item and then locating all the clues Did the Calc in the Geomobile as it was an hour park zone and time was up, as there was no other parks to move on to, I drove the short distance to the Cache fluked a park, signed the log at 12;30 Thanks sbalogh53 For a Great knowledge Cache Experience. Left : Gold mexice geocoin...
Finally found this cache. It took me 2 attempts. Checking the References today again I discovered that I got one of the pictures wrong!
Thanks for this cache.
Thanks for this cache.
Thanks for a fun cache that required a little thinking, and kept the geo-kids quiet for a while (good considering the location) while we found all the clues.
Before leaving home for our weekend in Melbourne we decided to choose just this one puzzle cache to attempt. It was fun to solve and we made it a bit trickier by working in black & white. Found gz and the cache too, no problems. Thanks for a fun morning away from the CBD. In/Out Coin.
I love sbalogh53 caches !
It’s hard to give an accurate account of the first stage of the cache without giving too much away, but suffice it to say it took me about 50 minutes and I solved the puzzle about 5 minutes before I would have developed a headache. My eyesight isn’t up to this type of work any more.
Stage two of the cache went very smoothly with no muggles in sight. The cache was in pretty good nick, and although dry, the log book did feel a bit clammy so I dried it out in the sun for about 10 minutes.
Took – Australia key ring
Left – HDD magnet and St Johns Cadet silver button
Thanks Steve for another interesting cache

This was a lot of fun - there are certainly a lot of flags in the world! Loved the little cottages in the street near the park. Thanks for bringing us here. Took Back to Chicago TB, left small pink pen. TFTC
That was very good fun (especially as I took someone along with me to help - would have been less fun finding all those pictures on my own). Thanks for putting together a fun puzzle.

thanks for a good find
thanks for a good find
Took us a while to find the correct book, the catalog was no help to me. The Dragonlady found the right book - it's location was well suited for her
The Master of the Dragon did the book work, and I did the math...made one small error but that was picked up while still in the library so no big deal there. Back to the car to pick up the dog and off for a stroll. The park is very nice and I love the location muchly. There was a little girl at the park and she loved the dog...nearly strangled it to death!
Nice fun cache to do on a lazy Sunday.

A funny thing happened with this one - I'd checked the online catalogue, both via Internet and from a local terminal, but my search failed to locate the necessary volume so I forgot about it for a time. A few weeks ago, it happened to come up in conversation with another cacher and, later on, I repeated my catalogue search - and this time it produced more (and better) results. Oh well, they must have been doing some software upgrades or something when I first searched (I did it sevral times over a period of a few days - with the same search criteria too!). Anyway, my earlier research was a big help in quickly locating the necessary pages and I was able to follow up with a quick find on this very hot afternoon.

Thanks sbalogh53
PS As I opened the logbook, I realized today was the 2nd birthday for this cache

I must be running out of local caches
Reference fell into the 10 nearest caches for me this week, so with the afternoon's work done, and having to head back past St Kilda, I stopped by to do some reading.
After a false start with another related book with the same dewey numbers, a restart with the correct volume led to some interesting reading for the next 30 minutes to collect the clues.
Must have gotten it right - final coords, not surprisingly, had a cache at them

This cache took up most of my morning after starting it a few months back. The cache was found shortly after and the clue was perfect. The location for GZ appeared familiar, it turned out my cousin had a photography studio just over the road.

I really enjoyed the challenge here. Try completing this one with b&w cache prints! It took me two goes and today I wen t back to the library and confirmed a few more things and then bingo found the cache. I had Oenze along for the journey. thanks sbalogh53.
8th find of the day at 12:25pm accompanied by Feathertop on our puzzles till we drop expedition, this cache has been on my to-do list for some time now, we had a little trouble finding parking other than that a verry enjoyable cache. TNLN, Signed Log. Thanx Sbalogh53....
After doing two other picture caches this one was much quicker than expected. A scan of the relevant area failed to find the relevant tome but a quick look at the catalogue did the trick. I managed to find all of the pages in two scans (good for me!) and the calculations and find were no problem. Thanks sbolagh53 for another interesting cache and I did learn something too!
We have been interested in this one for a long time but today was the first opportunity that we have had to be in the area within opening hours. It took us a little while to find the right item, from here on it should have been easy sailing but unfortunately one of the group of pictures could not be located. With the information we had we were able to come up with a set of co-ords that also enabled us to reverse calculate to work out what page we had missed. Sure enough, there it was, neither of us know how we missed it so many times.
Headed off to gz, which we also nearly missed. Once there the cache was located quickly
Made swaps and signed log
thanks sbalogh53 for an entertaining unusual cache

Dear Sbalogh53,
We found your cache today ar 5:30pm as the tenth of eleven on our southern suburbs afternoon. (Although you probably know this already as you were there ).The place of knowledge was open today and with some help from an attendant, we located the correct reference. We enjoyed hunting down the clues and soon made our way to GZ. After going through all the logical spots, we checked the hint that pointed us back to all the spots we were just checking. We thought that we may have missed something so we called home base to check through previous logs only to find that no-one had had a problem in locating the cache so we began to think there was a problem. Unfortunately at this time a chap in a wheelchair rocked up and after trying to outwait him for 15 minutes, it became clear that he was set for the afternoon.
After heading south for a few hours, we returned again late in the afternoon and called SBalogh directly as there was definitely something awry. The directions over the phone were pretty good but directed us to something that was no longer there and Steve kindly offered to come down whilst we waited. Sure enough, things had changed but luckily the cache was still in it's place but had become buried. With the cache in hand, we had a chat and logged our visit leaving Steve to contemplate a slightly adjusted cache location. Thanks for the cache and for coming over. As per all the photo series we had a great time.
Kind Regards,
D & H B-A

I had been looking forward to this one for a while. Other times we were here, we were outside of hours. Checked today on times - no problem. Except that the establishment is closed for renovations for the weekend. We shall return.
I did my research at the published co-ordinates some time ago. I gave GZ a looking over but failed to locate it at that time. I thought a night time attempt would be more productive. And it was. Found tonight at 21:15. Thanks sbalogh53 for an enjoyable cache.
Found 14:25, having had to wait out a bunch of muggles having afternoon tea at the nearby table. Once they left and we had retrieved the cache, another muggle and dog forced us to take the cache shopping whilst we waited for the muggle to finish exercising his dog.
TNLN, thanks sbalogh53 for another great cache.

I had a very good reference and off to GZ I went, a nice quick find. I have a friend who is obssed with the correct flying of flags and the positioning of flag poles.
I took the TB Stag Beetle Bug.
Thanks
