I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.

Hi geokat nz

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

Regards
TheCoddiwompler

I write "WRITE NOTE" because it is a time when we can't go on a long adventure, so I travel in the memories of my visits to New Zeusemad. Of this adventure in New Zealand, I only stretch Travel Bug. Writing "FOUND IT" is probably not right anymore, it wasn't today, but I was here before. And unfortunately I won't get here again.

I am sending a beautiful greeting from the Czech Republic. Smile

After several unsuccessful attempts over the six years I've been caching, I'm finally going to log a DNF on this one in the hope the blue sad face will spur me on to better things. It is obvious the cache must be there given the amount of DNFs followed by finds in the next day or so with no CO intervention in between.

??????It's time for Xmas holidays!??????
At Munich airport I met Jon Snow and Ari and a couple of muggles. Here we started our common holiday tour.
First we went to Singapore by plane, where we stayed one night and strolled through this beautiful city. It was really amazing!
Then we went on to our real destination: New Zealand! ????
Within nearly four weeks we first explored the North Island, followed by the South Island in the second half of our journey. We could discover unique landscapes and great nature, we saw many animals (and no, I'm not talking about sand flies here??), we met nice people and found also some caches. ??
Thanks to all the owners for elaborating, hiding and maintaining their caches! Staying and caching in ???? and ???? was a great experience and real fun!
Sorry for logging so late, but it's not one of my favorite pastimes...
Greetings from "good old Europe"??, H.N.

?????? Vacation at the original locations of the LotR-films! ??????

Together with Jon Snow and H_Nelson and some friends-of-mine-muggles we went to New Zealand for almost four weeks, collecting many great impressions of both islands, their awesome landscapes, their clinging (and indeed very annoying!) muggles and bushes, their fascinating wildlife (especially the sandflies were very clinging, too??), their various locations of my favorite movies ?? (although the guided tours were very overpriced!) and last but not least their nice geocaches!
I fell especially in love with New Zealand's bushes because most of the caches are hidden deep inside. And the good thing is: there are definitely no muggles there??!!!
It was a very nice vacation with many great impressions and experiences!

Found it (thanks to the hint for geologists) on our way from Christchurch to Kaikoura.

TFTC and greetings from Bavaria, Ari

Found the cache (not too hard) but still unsure about the clue.

23-Sep-19
Driving from Christchurch to Blenheim a few caches were added to the list to break up the drive. I tried to add caches at equal intervals hoping that it would make the drive seem palatable but it didn’t work that way.

All the time was spent on the back end of the trip in roadworks but this was our first stop of the day and the cold hit us as soon as we got out of the car.

Mrs Woodyrothwell already had her beanie on. We actually brought our beanies in Christchurch 17 months ago and have only worn them in Margaret River (near Perth), and for some bedroom activities since then. I don’t know why we haven’t worn them more because they are a fashion statement. That statement being: “Hideous!”. tftc

Thanks very much!

KrystalKath, Tama & I have arrived in Amberley from Taranaki to take up our next assignment of seasonal work for the coming three months.
I'm on a streak of consecutive daily geocache finds and so after our first day of work today we popped into town for some supplies and to score this cache.
KK found this one while I was contemplating its location.
This is day 110. All good here. TFTC and or honouring a true NZ hero.

16-Jun-19
Second or third time here, the problem in the past has been the activity at the nearby restrooms. Today, not so many people. Scouted a few other features, just in case the coords were out a bit.
No joy, they are quite accurate, just waited for a break in the ‘traffic’ then a quick find. TFTC geokat NZ.

Homeward bound to Blenheim after a weekend in Chch, I have targeted a few caches on the trip back. In the end I did not get away until the early afternoon, so could not do some of the short walks I had planned. Just park and grabs then. Thanks all COs. Not many found but no issues with any of them.

Thank you for cache, what a great little trail reading the boards

25-Mar-19
Really a D 1.5......this takes ages to find as the autum leaves are an awesome camo, the hint is not really that informing, there are muggles every where...but in the end the small smooth stones were a great help....tftc

25-Mar-19
Well that took ages and many waits for muggles to move on. We moved leaves and scrabbled around. PAFed a pre iOS finder but not where he found it. Persistence finally paid off and the elusive cache was found. Agree the hints don't really help. Thanks for the cache geokat nz

24-Mar-19
Passing through with Tregearp but we were 30 minutes early before the change over from the breakfast to lunch menu at the Nor-Wester. A perfect opportunity for a couple of nearby caches. A quick find with all in good order, thanks geokat nz for the cache.

24-Mar-19
Another quick find and all in good order. We'd visited the statue previously when up for the farmers market but pre caching times so nice to come back. TFTC

A planned geocaching trip with specific targets in mind.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 4 Wakari to Ashley Gorge 54 caches found including 1 of the targets. Arrived in Amberley and decided to spend time trying to get the caches in town. This was the first. Parked at statue and walked over to GZ. A little search and cache found. Thank you for the placement.

Planetary Pursuit is on The Seagnoids radar so we are off to Christchurch for the weekend, with Zara and Toby, to snag some caches and Planetary Pursuit points.
We have Sunday morning up our sleeves s its an amble around Amberley.
Stopped at the little blue sign with people on it for a loo stop for me so The Seagnoid finds this one to amuse himself while waiting. Ha. Ha. Hes still looking, while I join him and snag it. Yes. Cheers

25-Mar-18
A quick stop at the nearby loos for the dragon while I check out the sculptures. The sculptures are pretty neat but I do not understand how Charles Upham connects with this.

The Planetary Pursuit promotion is just the thing to get me off the couch and go visit Christchurch to make a dent in the gazillions of solved puzzles I have there. I need 500 points by the end of Easter at 5 points each for most caches, and 15 points per puzzle cache. So the Eclipse series of puzzle caches it is. When I told Taybeedragon my plans she assumed she was coming along, and that means Zara and Toby as well, which certainly makes things easier. By the end of the weekend we have found about 95 caches and have over 1000 points, enough to get to to Eris (a planet bigger than Pluto and about twice as far out. If they are going to call Pluto a planet then Eris is definitely one!)).
After spending yesterday finding heaps of eclipse tins Taybeedragon and I finished that series ahead of schedule, so we did today's work yesterday afternoon, leaving us free to come here today. Didn't finish Amberley, so we will be back one day.
Over Easter I expect to get another 1000 points...

Not Manly Jack was on a mission to check out some of the new shops out this way. I was on a mission to FINALLY find this little blighter. Win-win! I'm not sure how many times I've attempted this one, probably not as often as it feels as I do tend to mention it every time we drive past. I'd say three or four times, really.
This time, while it was busy, there weren't as many muggles as previous visits so I got stuck in and located it after a couple of minutes.
TFTC Cool
