A second attempt on this one for me and a first attempt for the party.
A quick look and jump around but no find today, as expected based on previous logs.
Great view, very windy. Spectacular spot. Saw Mount Solitary, where we will go today.
Thanks for the cache!

Didn't find this one, looked everywhere up and down the mountain side and got covered in black marks from all the burnt trees.
Its been a while since this cache has been found, possibly a good idea for the CO to check on it.

We got pretty close and looked under ledges, but no joy. (
I was pretty nervous having my 4yo and 6yo nephews in tow and being the only adult - I'd suggest stay away with the little ones, too easy to lose their footing and bad things could happen!!

No I didn't find it either. The barriers are down and the site can be accessed once again. But it is very burnt and you will get a bit of charcoal in you looking for this cache. It would be great if the owner can give a heads up as to wether it is still here.
Came for the views and looked for cache quickly. Went down wrong path to start and then found obvious place but no luck. Had to get back to the non-climbers of the family back up the hill. Maybe next time .

Came here with teamkross and had a good look around but apparently our eyes are painted on. Will be back again. Great spot
There has been some very serious fires through here recently July 2015. At present this area is closed off to the public. We respected the barriers and signs so didn't look further. I would be surprised if this cache is still intact.
Seeing the area had been recently burnt we wondered if the cache would still be there. Most of the area was blocked off but we found a safe gap and made our way down towards GZ on a trail. Given the state of the area we let the GPSr settle, checked the hint and shortly afterwards spotted some camo to make the find. Despite being a plastics box the cache is in good condition showing no impact from the fire. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
There were clouds in the valley below as I searched for this one shortly after sunrise. Amazing views! Thanks for the cache!
This cache site had been visited before but alone and given the landscape the final GZ seek was abandoned.
Following the Autumn Bluies event the 'mushroom tagged along with bisygisy and Noodles22 to the Tablelands and there was little persuasion needed to join Noodles22 for this cache.
The Noodles22 seek was quickly successful and he kindly passed the logbook within reach for signing - to be honest one was unsure whether an unsteady step would have made it otherwise - Thanks Noodles!!
Thanks to maty061 for the cache ... the location is grand, both on a spectacular Bluies day (first visit) or on a foggy grey day (second visit).

I had joined forces with the Whitemushroom and Bisygisy to find a few caches along the Tableland. This one was an interesting place to visit, but when everything is wet and the valley is foggy, there wasn't much to see.
When I climbed down to find the cache and found the cache, I found that Hoogies had already beat me to the geocoin today.
A nice place otherwise. Thanks for the cache.

Came here after the bluies event. The misty day meant everything was very damp. The quick scurry down to GZ was a wet one, but it didn't stop me getting this cache. Great little hide, shame the view was fogged out today. TFTC
Almost 10 years ago my boyfriend chose kings tableland to become my fiancé. Today he is referred to as geohubster and we decided to bring our three geokids up here to show them this special spot - a cache was just a bonus!
Definitely not a child safe cache but thanks for the hide. May must visit spot for all those traveling through this region!

My wife (caval) and I are travelling through NSW and Queensland. As we stop and do hikes we also try to find some geocaches. We were on our way to Wenworth Falls when we saw the sign to this spactacular lookout. Luckyly we decided to have a closer look.
We also came along this cache and we found it. It would have been a pity if we had missed it.
Thank you maty061 for the cache and greetings from Switzerland.

After turning this trek into a terrain of 4 by going from lincons rock via the heathland I eventually dou d the right trail to take. After finding the cache I found a much easier way out. Typical. Left a Geo coin. Tftc in such a beautiful spot
Now renamed Lincoln Rock in memory of Australian mountaineer Lincoln Hall.
Have a look at the cave beneath the main lookout rock if you haven't seen before. Access via far end of Lincoln Rock.
There was some newly weds in wedding outfits getting their photo taken at the rock.
He was wearing completely white outfit (jacket, pants, shirt and tie), ouch...
We took Kiama Rosetta geocoin.
Thanks...

Fantastic views, but I didn't have the place to myself; fortunately the muggles didn't stay long - lots of sights to see when you on a bus tour - I guess they look at the photos they took once they are back at home to appreciate the view! Thanks maty061 for the cache

TFTC! A beautiful foggy day. Will come back another time for the view. Lots of birds to keep us company.
I have thought about whether to DNF or Write note, and it likely makes little difference.
It was near perfect conditions, and progress was made down towards the GZ. Caching alone, and not as sure on old knees as some may be, the 'mushroom baulked at the last eight metres and hence did not make the final seek ... better the prudent decision than any alternative.
Wonderful location, and the lookout up the track, and a worthy cache to claim ... will return in company for a smiley result.

I was brought here by Calypso62 who said I had to do this one, the view is amazing as is the location itself. Thanks so much!
Great views and a great day of walking around Wentworth Falls for the first time.
Had a clamber around but with high winds and Nat a bit keen to leave, had to give it a miss.
Will try again one day. Thanks for the cache!

This cache had us beat a few times once due to a big storm that came through and another time due to flat GPS batteries. We were determined to experience success this time around. A bit of bush bashing along light trails we finally had cache in hand. A fantastic spot. TFTC.
Out with some good friends caching on a birthday, bushwalking, caching adventure.
I went searching for this yesterday and after spending 1-2 hours searching, I gave up. Most of my fruitless searching was done at the wrong level (but my GPS still said I was within 2m of the coordinates!) - I guess 2m is a LOT when the terrain is so steep! I did do a quick search yesterday of the right area, but I was obviously too hasty and the GPS was telling me I was about 5m out! Didn't log a DNF then, but I spoke to my pals in TeamCanary who gave me some valuable advice and even took me back to the site today so I could log a find.
Thanks for putting the cache in such a spectacular location! I've known about the nearby Flat Rock site for ages (from when it appeared in a music video by The Darkness), and I've been meaning to visit it for ages. Finally went there yesterday, and your caching adventure made my visit there even more fun!

Wednesday 12 June 2013 - foggy, rainy, windy and cold winter's day in the mountains with the sun making an occasion appearance while bush walking. Search high and low, very low. Checked the iPad gallery for spoiler photos but they did not assist. Good luck to the next GeoCacher. BTW great views! Would have given it a favourite point had the cache been found.
Out on a bushing/caching adventure with Jmanjezza, MadRummager & Whiochon.

On a misty eve, near sunset thought we would give this one a go!
Found it! and almost regret finding it in the mist! .........as we could hardly see a thing! Best bit is ....Will HAVE to go back to experience the views and sunsets that have been spoken about by others!

I took many photos of the stunning views from up here, but it is hard to say which was more memorable - the view or the wind. It was blowing so hard that care had to be taken to stay upright. I'm glad it was blowing us away from the edge rather than toward it! Thank you for bringing us to this breathtaking (in more ways than one!) location.
Well this one proved to be a bit more of a problem than expected we had 6 cachers looking for it, including 2 previous finder and still it took us much longer than it should have.
We looked too low and wasted a lot of time, eventually Team Canary found GZ and Toriaz soon had the cache in hand, quite appropriate since she had a recent DNF here.
We signed the log and returned the cache to its hide, not a difficult find if you start looking in the right spot!
Thanks for the cache and the view.

A fun visit with my fellow geocachers!
Having found this one a long time ago, I had just as much of a challenge on this occasion, due to that short term memory problem we won't talk about!
Coordinates are accurate so follow your GPSr from the top . . .
Really wonderful views of the Jamison Valley . . .

It did indeed feel good to redeem my recent(ish) DNF at this one. I can see now that I was at the wrong level for finding this one last time.
At first pjmpjm & Canary sat back & let Rogerw3, bisygisy & myself search for this one, with a little help from Tiger Canary, but when we failed to come up with anything, they joined in to help as well.
Eventually Canary stood in a certain area & suggested it would be a better place to search than the area we were currently at. I started looking around that spot & finally noticed the hide. A hide that in retrospect was easy & should have been spotted earlier .
Thanks . We had a fun time searching around here, and the views are always fantastic from here.
Noticed there is a trackable marked as being in this cache - looked in container but couldn't see any trackables.

I was hoping this was going to be my 3rd cache of the day, but unfortunately this was not to be. GPSr had me in a likely looking spot, I spent a lot of time looking in different spots but couldn't find anything. Eventually I got too cold to keep looking & headed for home & warmth.
We bush bashed for ages from the flat rock before realising that we could have walked further down the road. It got too cold and so we gave up but will be back soon to look again. It is one of our favourite spots in the world too, so we enjoyed the view anyway.
Incredibble views from up there, understandable that this is one of the owners favourite spots! Great place for a cache! Thanks for the hide

went in the hard way. walking through brush after recent rain means getting wet from the waist down. the flannel flowers and banksias were fantastic. at GZ, thought we would not have any company, but a wedding party arrived for a photo session.
Found when doing a few in the area. The walk in was beautiful. We were excited a plant we called Mountain Devils when we were young. Also say large animal droppings which we thought could be the mythical Yowie.

After doing our 500th cache find at Mermaids cave, this was to be the last find of the day. Walking through the bush was not a problem until you got to GZ. There you do need to take some care due to the change in terrain & lack of any guard rails. A top view into the valley but a long drop down. Perhaps the terrain rating should be reviewed to say 3.5-4.0. TNLNSL TFTC

Out with GeoNetty, Smurfyguy and Geotooter today. We had made the trip up from Sydney so Smurfyguy and Geotooter could complete their 500th find milestone at Mermaids Cave heading into the Megalong Valley. With that duty completed we found a few other caches in the valley and then began the journey home. A quick detour took us to this hide. Arrived at the ledge and our GPSrs were indicating we still had another 10m to go. Smurfyguy began the search underneath but initially came up empty handed. After checking another couple of spots he returned to the first location and then made the discovery. The logbook was signed for all and cache returned. Beautiful views from here. Just one point, the terrain for this cache is rated at 2.5. This is true until you reach GZ. To access the cache container, I would rate the terrain closer to 3.5 or even slightly more. You will need to do some climbing! Thanks maty061 for bringing us here.

I agree with Calypso62, I think the terrain rating should be marginly higher, say 3.5-4 given there is climbing at GZ and the fact there are no safety fences etc.

Our first for the day. There were a few other tourists around but they were all heading to flat rock. The search took a while and we saw some beautiful miniature ecosystems further down the ridge before we found the cache where I had previously searched. As we headed back to he car hail started to fall. Luckily only small though. Thanks for an interesting cache. [1218]
Was a really windy day, nearly getting blown off the edge. Have been to Flat Rock before but never ventured any further. Took penny left mermaid.
What a great spot! Although I suppose there are so many in the Blue Mountains. I really enjoyed this one's hide and also out of the way location (despite nearby Flat Rock, which was also interesting to check out... seems like a good place for a party!). The GPS was leading me astray, so I just put it down and started the hunt - was soon enough in hand. Thanks for the cache.

We braved the tourist traffic today to do a few of the upper mountains caches we've been avoiding (only because of the poor roads up the mountains) We were lucky to get a park near Flat Rock lookout with so many tourist vans arriving, and we quickly made our way to the cache location, sans tourists. We had a quick cache extraction and signed it, and then took a few minutes to look at the wonders of this place. We wandered back to Flat Rock and spent a few more minutes with the tourists. Thanks.

I just got there and I thought "OH MY GOD THIS IS AN AMAZING VIEW!" It was like, why didn't I go here before?
Did this cache as we were here to visit my Mother for Christmas dinner. Our last Aussie cache before heading to New Zealand for a week of caching. The views are awesome, I didn't know this was here (my Mum knew about the area - and the 'rock' but not the cache of course .

This is a really beautiful location where we would have never gone if not for Geocaching. Thanks a lot for showing us this place and hiding the cache! Clauphi
We would had never come here if not for this cache. And wouldn't have had that fantastic view. Thanks a lot!! Great hiding place, too!

What a fantastic location!. This cache was one of the best we have done in the mountains but I would not bring the kids to this one to many drop offs.
