Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat, we heard about the New Year Events and decided we should be a part of the fun.
We found this cache on 4th January but after we completed finding the 10*10 and 20*20 challenge so with soo many late nights completing the logging requirements for those caches we had run out of oomph to complete this. Pleased to say this was the quickest list to compile. Fun little challenge cache and a favourite from us. .

Went for a drive around a nearby suburb, to pick up a few caches in the area.
A straight forward multi, and the cache was located after a short search.
Many thanks for placing this cache, chefs on the run, for us and others to find.

I'm really naughty and I haven't been doing my logs, internet access isn't easy for me so big apologies to the CO for that.
Maybe if I smile really nicely I can get away with it?
I was with TeamThommo when she found this cache.
Thank you for the time and the effort you have put in with this cache although my generic log doesn't' reflect that too well I do appreciate it.

I nearly forgot to log this one, it happened on a busy day in a busy week. I was in the area and I had read the logs whilst waiting at an appointment. I'm shocked so many people have remarked and logged on the condition of the cache yet it still sits there in a mess. I have just started to carry spare caches with me for such circumstance. It wasn't recess so I felt safe to approach GZ without being weird or causing any undue worry to the school nearby. Unfortunately there was a class nearby having an outdoor class. Luckily they looked to be good students and watching the teacher and not noticing the lady wearing bright pink pants trudging around the bushes with her daughter! I had parked nearby and I had geo daughter with me so I looked to be normal I wasn't 'sneaking' around. I located the cache the lid was laying some distance away it was mouldy slimy and just gross. It is now in a nearby bin and I have placed a replacement cache and log in the correct GZ according to my GPSr very close to where I just found the mushy cache. TFTC SL Took the old cache left a new one. Cheers and Happy Caching
Oh and I forgot to add this ~ I found the under the red berry tree amusing. There are dozens of them and they only have red berries a few months of the year. For those of you interested they are Hawthorn trees I copied and pasted from Wiki for you ......Crataegus commonly called hawthorn, thornapple, May-tree, whitethorn, or hawberry, is a large genus of shrubs and trees in the family Rosaceae, native to temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere in Europe, Asia and North America. The name "hawthorn" was originally applied to the species native to northern Europe, especially the common hawthorn C. monogyna, and the unmodified name is often so used in Britain and Ireland. The name is now also applied to the entire genus and to the related Asian genus Rhaphiolepis. The name haw, originally an Old English term for hedge, applies to the fruit

After staring at the school gates as I drove past, I worried that maybe a sign had been removed. Oh no, I'm just one of those short people who doesn't look above their own eye level. A quick calculation later and a dash to the gz for a quick find. The container had filled with water again with the overnight storm, so I drained it and it will need maintenance as the previous finder has logged. TFTC chefs on the run!
Water was tipped out from the cache and as it started raining while I was at GZ I couldn't dry the rest of the cache out. Needs a fully waterproof container
Found this one today. I had attempted this one last week but couldn't find the final and it was too wet to properly search then. Today I went back and rechecked all my figures and then did a systematic search around GZ. I was almost giving up in despair again and the cache was spotted. Signed the extra paper log left by previous finders and tipped water out of this cache.
Thanks for the cache chefs on the run.
PS: Log is now on the correct cache!

Didn't find it. Arrived as lunch time started so didn't want to hang around looking suspicious! I'll be back!
Last cache for this evening, having completed the partner cache to this one how could we leave without giving this one a go too? The information at WP1 wasn't quite a drive-by thanks to the dark, but was quickly gathered, then after some calculations lochb, G' of GJMMelb and I settled of three different GZs... (or was this the previous cache?...) After rechecking calculations and data-entry we discovered the mistakes and finally had agreement, so a quick drive later we arrived at GZ and began our search. It took us longer than it should, the dark not helping, the trees no doubt messing with our GPSs too. We almost gave up, but luckily I spotted something and it was the cache camouflage. As previously mentioned, the logbook is a rotten mess and there was more water in the cache so the previous finders' paper was too wet to use too, so we had to add our own paper to log on. TFTC
Found with Lochb and Quiet1_au. Almost gave up here but Quiet1 was thorough and eventually found the cache. It was only when I got near that the GPS started to give a sensible reading. That's my excuse anyway. That completed another very successful afternoon and evening out for our little team. Thanks chefs on the run

We saw a great moon rise when GJMMelb stopped the car. Finding the cache, however, was rather difficult and not helped by the rubbish in this area. quiet1_au found it in the end, after I'd given up already. Last cache for the day! TFTC

Find #945
I looked for this cache about 18 months ago. I was still very new to the game and was using an old iPhone 3gs. The grass was long, lush and very wet. The trees hadn't been pruned for a few years it seemed and I came up empty handed. The trees weren't fruiting and so the hint was of no use to me. 18 months later armed with a proper GPSr and with about 900 more finds under my belt, I returned. I walked to where my GPSr was pointing, the same co-ords that I had calculated the year before last and from about three metres away, I spied the cache that had previously eluded me. There is was just sitting in amongst a sea of brown leaves.
As per previous finders, there was no log book to sign as such so I did the best I could on the vinyl cover of what was once the log. So very happy to be able to cross this one off my list at long last.

Found this today but it had a lot of water in it which I tipped out but the log book is mushy and unsignable.
With the weather looking a little dodgy I thought I'd go out anyway and although it tried to rain most of the morning, I managed to get 3 hours in before the rain came down.
After wondering where the school was I came over here to hopefully find it. Once again didn't have to leave the car to get the clues and drove the sort distance to GZ. After bumbling around in those bushes (very spiky so be careful) I eventually found it a few minutes later quite exposed and full of water with a mushy log book.
Thanks for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

Found this one but sadly couldn't write in the log as nothing inside the cache was dry. There was about an inch of water in the bottom of it so no point putting anything new in it as it will only get soaked.
Maintenance needed please.

Found on the way home from work. Quickly gathered co-ords. Headed straight for GZ, found in a couple of minutes. Pretty disapointing as everything inside is wet. Log book is mush. Spare bits of paper are providing a place to log, but overall not an enjoyable find.

Another great day, obviously Ideal for caching, I was again without my caching partner in crime SedgwickDave who had some family commitments this weekend. So I headed out solo, aiming for the Berwick and surrounds to try and pick up a few caches in the area. It is a while since I have been there and I had noticed some new ones pop up during the week. Wilson Botanic Park, here I come.
After finding the other one in the series, I figured I should get this one too. I quickly gathered the required numbers, then headed to GZ where after a ten minute search, the cache was finally located. Very wet inside, and it needs a proper log book, it currently has lots of pieces of paper inside.
Thanks again to chefs on the run for the cache.

Nice cache/hide. TFTC.
Arrived at GZ just as the sun was setting (see photo), had to avoid muggles playing b-ball and the cache nextdoor neighbor muggle coming home - but managed to find it. Cache container may need some TLC, the inside-bottom was filled with wet-mushy-slimy-stuff that may have been the remains of an old log book.

Very nice hide chefs on the run, but, it might need another container.. A bit waterlogged. Log books soggy and mush now.
Though a very nice hide. I enjoyed looking for it. [^]

We jumped on our bikes and headed straight for the first clue. Figured out the coords and away we went on a short ride to GZ. Within minutes the cache was found. Certainly a bit wet but managed to find a dry spot for logging our visit! TFTC.
Easy find after getting numbers. Nice sunny day for walking looking for treasure.
Cach needs a little maintenance but could still sign log.

Cache is totally soaked and home to many snails. Probably needs a replacement. The log is soaked but still sign-able.
Geokids blitz through their homework and the #*#*$ rains decided to stop for a while, so we dashed out, got the easy clue worked out, and found the cache quickly. The cache is full of snails and everything is soaked. The log in the ziploc bag is soaked too but managed to sign it. TNLN, TFTC.

Well, as the suscoe team spend too much time at schools, this was a fitting cache to bring up 1300 finds.
Did the caclulations, did the trip, did the search, did the find, did the signing and did the return.
Thank you to chefs on the run for bringing us here.

WP was solved quickly, however I took a really long time to find the cache once at GZ. I only found this one after phoning a friend.. TFTC
Gained required info with ease and (after arguing with the Iphone about inputting coords, which we now know how to do)headed to gz. A short look around and there it was. The container was half full of water and had been for a while. The log book is soaked. Thankfully there is dry(ish) paper in a zip bag and 'there is now a bear in there!' TFTC chefs.
Pulled up at WP1 and was able to glean the information without getting out of the car. Being a Sunday morning the area was deserted. Made my calculations and headed on to GZ. Found the cache and signed the piece of paper that someone had left in the bag previously. Thanks for a fun themed cache.
Our big plans for a long caching run out west were squashed by cold weather and, on occasions, driving rain. Jsmyong55 suggested we head south, which we started to do, but eventually headed out east to clean up a few undiscovered caches out that way as far as Pakenham. There were times during the night when we questioned why we were playing this game in the poor weather, but a bag of about 25 caches was pleasing enough given the conditions. We decided to stop early; well at least I did before I pushed J to the limits of hypothermia (or at least a very bad cold). I had worked this one out long ago, but tonight I had no co-ords. We did the workings again and found the cache. Thanks chefs for the cache.

Out on our usual Monday night caching run, this time accompanied by rain and cold weather. We headed south today to clear some caches in the area and some which I have not done. Slowly but surely, we moved east instead of going further down till Pakenham when we made a turn and headed back towards the city. Caching in the cold weather isn't much fun but anywho we still needed to do what's necessary.
I had about 30 finds tonight and we had a few DNF's.
This was one of our finds. Found this cache in cold and wet weather. We stopped at WP1 to get the clues and I helped out to get the calculations. Headed to GZ and found the cache after searching for 5 mins. TFTC Chefs on the run

5/11 for the night. Attempt number four for this one. I have had the co-ords for a while but I always picked the wrong time to go. Fisrt it was school drop off, next was lunchtime and the third time there were gardeners about. So tonight was the night. disturbed a possum but we managed to find the cache without much trouble.

I had planned a Warragul cache run for the night and was joined by C@H for the trip. Our first stop was in Berwick before following a trail of caches to Warragul. I had the finals for GZ worked out quite a while ago when I was once in the area doing some caching. Tonight gave the perfect opportunity to finally collect the cache. Once at GZ the cache was found after a bit of scratching around and the log signed. TFTC.
I solved this one a year or more ago from home. Today we where in the right place to come and grab it. It took some time to find the cache, once we did we opened the container to find one of the toys has leaked its red dye everywhere. TFTC
On an easy day out with PrincessDiala, deciding to knock off some local caches.
we came to the starting point of this cache and easy worked out where GZ was.
read the hint upon arrival..... no help at this time of year!!
we searched up and down, finally coming to find a very soggy cache!!

Found in the company of coley_babee on a relaxed day out caching.
Found the required numbers easily enough, and proceeded to work out the co-ordinates.
Around the corner at GZ, we spent quite some time searching, the hint was not in any way helpful, which I guess comes and goes with the seasons.
Unfortunatly, the inside of the cache is not that pretty. Ooey and gooey, like the dampness has melted some of the swaps... It really needs some attention. Sorry, I don't usually come prepared with replacement containers.

Took a little lonnger to find then expected but soon cache was in hand. Actually was fearing that maybe the cache had been muggle at one point as a ziplock bag was found near the cache during the search.
The log book is soaked thru and needs to be replaced. I had some note paper so sign that and left an extra sheet for the next cacher. Used the ziplock bag found for this paper. Nice quick multi in the end. The hint was not useful but maybe thats due to the season... TFTC chefs on the run.

Stayed with Muggle relatives about 200mtrs from coordinates so set off for a stroll as they tried to figure out thier new Garmin. Took a bit of work to find and took even longer to remove prickles and gress balls off of clothes but success at last. TFTC
Nice easy solve at WP1 - then short drive to GZ. Took a bit of searching for the cache - and the branches were very prickly and the grass under the trees is strange - stuck to the skin and left a rash. Unfortunately we were in the wrong season for the clue to help but I eventually found it. Geokids exchanged small trinkets and we signed log. TFTC

I tried this one in the near dark aided by the light of the torch in my phone. Had a search for quite a while, but couldn't see it. I eventually gave up after being scratched and prickled more than I really wanted.
Did a quick drive by of WP1 to grab the required numbers, then stayed there & worked out the GZ.
GZ was a leisurely stroll from where we parked.
The cache was soaked, along with the swaps, some of which just need tossing in the bin.
The log, in its zipseal bag, was still FAIRLY dry.

24-01 7th find of the day at 17:17 and 857th find in total.
After logging a DNF back on 25-11 due to dark and spider infestation, there was no way that Echo was leaving here with another DNF.
We had a quick look around but the only things that kept sparking our attention was the colorful chip packets half buried everywhere, so it was on to a hands and knees search. After some more hunting around a likely suspect was spotted but as luck would have it, it was out of reach on the other side. So around we go hoping that we can find the spot again which it turned out wasn't a problem and the cache was soon in hand.
The log was damp but still usable.
(''\(OoO)/'') Thanks chefs on the run for the caching fun!

Found @ 1540 after dropping the geowife off in Berwick. Grabbed the first clues and then drove around to GZ as it was raining quite heavily. Luckily parking was available 15m from GZ and a quick dash to retrieve the cache was made.

Found with ggkof on our usual Tuesday night caching adventure. He had found this before, so he sat back and let me got on with it. I accidentally had the wrong cache up in my PDA, I was looking at the other school one, so couldn't work out where I was going wrong until the penny dropped! Correct details later, off to GZ to find the cache after a short and prickly search. TNLN.

Quick grab of numbers to coords...
Dog walker wouldn't leave nearby so the ute was pulled up to block any snooping of us...
Thanks for the cache.

No sign of the trackable at this location I'm afraid, perhaps someone grabbed it and forgot? Or perhaps it was there and I'm blind? When I found the cache it was sitting quite exposed, the blue makes it stand out much more when it's not covered up. I did my best to remedy the situation but I don't know how successful I was, the bushes here are too spiney for me to spend too much time under them.

Found this one without too much trouble. Things still a little wet, dried them out as much as possible and re hid the cache. TNLN. Thanks for the challenge. davidman +1

Trudged out in the drizzly rain on our mission. The hint wasn't that useful, no red berries to be seen, but found the cache without difficulty anyway. Took nothing, left bead kit and DON55 trackable Satellite geopin. TFTC
This cache is not far from our house so we thought we'd take a nice walk this afternoon and check out the status. After finding the info at WP1 we made our way to GZ and found the cache partially exposed and a bit wet as the lid wasn't on properly. We dried it out, removed some wet stuff, restocked it with some swaps and dropped in a new log book and pen. Sadly the Wonder Car travel bug was not present anymore.
We hid the cache a little better and closer to where our GPSr indicated GZ should be. Hope you don't mind Chefs, just thought we'd help this one out. We think there's no reason this one can't come back online now - we'll email the Chef's to let them know. Thanks for this (and many other) cool caches Chefs on the Run!!

Found @ 15:55. No problems finding the cache however it appears to have been muggled. Have hidden to cache so it can't be seen but needs a new log book. Didn't do any swaps today. Thanks.
The cache appears to be muggled with all the contents removed and a note saying the logbook bandits strike again.
Logged on that sheet so some work will be required on this cache.

Another one on a rather damp soggy day. We'd been down to Sale and had time on the return trip to grab a few a bit closer to home this being one of them. Took a second trip to the car because the resident pen wouldn't work.
Dropped off a TB and onwards
Thanks.

Flashy school! I'm sure my school wasn't that interesting.
A quick calculation inside the car and we were off to GZ.
A quick find, although we had to approach from both sides before we could grab the cache.
Thanks, Robmc.

7th one for the day on a weekend visit.
Nice and easy & the wind has uncovered the cache, so the clue is no right any more.
I recovered it better. TNLNSL to get going again,
Thanks again Chefs,

10th and final find of the day. This was my second attempt. Tried it with the nephews some months ago. I swear we looked very carefully in this spot last time and it wasn't there.
2007-07-26 On a Narre Intrepid Caching Expedition (N.I.C.E.) day with Trunksnsuch, When you couldn't find your school we thought we should help you find it again. So we did. Did I tell you I hate prickles! Regards Crisp image.
Found at 9:15pm. Thought we'd give this one a go after successfully completing the nearby "Certificate of GPS, Lesson 1" and unsuccessfully completing the first part of this double - both of which we started late this morning. We don't usually do night caches as we feel a little vulnerable shining torches around, but we managed to find this one unhindered and by using only street lighting. TNLN & SL. Thankyou.
This one was fun, though easy to find once worked through clues as cache was exposed. Seems unharmed, TNLNSL, Thankyou...
Having found the school no probs it was then off to GZ to find the cache, our 14th find for the day
