just realised i forgot to log my coin into the event

10-Jul-06
DD enjoyed meeting some of the local SA cachers, and was sorry that she couldn't stay longer and participate in the drinks afterwards. Many thanks for your hospitality and insights into getting to The Slot (see that log for our adventures there!!). The event geocoin will experience some Tassie hospitality this weekend!

10-Jul-06
Nice to finally put some faces to names! We learned quite a few little tidbits, and had the added bonus of picking up a couple of tips and tricks relating to the diet coke and mentos experiment - we obviously move in the right circles!
Thanks Cached for organising this.

10-Jul-06
Good to actually meet some fellow cachers. Might need to go to a few more of these to pick up on some of the more tech tricks though.

10-Jul-06
Thanks for a great night, looking forward to the next event.

10-Jul-06
Just dropping off some TB's that have travelled around with me for a couple of weeks now!!!

All of the equipment is loaded, and ready to go

10-Jul-06
The Stanleys won't be able to attend unfortunately. We could do with all the tips and tricks we can get when it comes to use of technology. Mr S has to work late and so does Mrs S if she is to have any credibility at the conferences she is presenting at in the next 3 weeks. Would have enjoyed catching up. Hopefully powerpoints or summaries will be posted up.

10-Jul-06
Just getting ready to go thought I would drop in some more bugs

10-Jul-06
Brucey's Birthday Bug is coming along and hopefully for some drinks after the event to celebrate Brucey's Birthday with a group of fellow cachers.

Cheers from The Barramundi's

10-Jul-06
dropping off the jeep.

10-Jul-06
Auzee and I were happy to meet up again with names that we've become only too familiar with. I learned that you could merge GSAK databases and I think I grasp the cache-along-a-route thingo Red Face. Cheers all Big Grin

10-Jul-06

10-Jul-06
I wish I'd known about this earlier. Had an important CFS exercise which would have stopped me being there anyway. Can we arrange this again sometime soon? 0433036480

Well as usual I am working that night. Geocaching shiftwork has its advantages and also its disadvantages as in this case. Would be interested in a transcript of the event though.

Great to meet everyone. When I was younger I did a fair bit of Orienteering. I pictured turning up to a group of athletes but was pleasantly suprised to find folks of my age etc.

woah, it's in 20 minutes time... better rush...

27-Mar-06
No, it doesn't count - you have to go home and log it.

27-Mar-06
Thanks cached. Enjoyed the night and the social beer afterwards. Shonkymap status... running 26 hours, another 10 or so to go!

27-Mar-06
Does it count if you are logging this whilst parrot head is giving a presentation?

27-Mar-06
Smile
What a top bunch of people. Freddo was about to show me how to log a cache but he downloaded 1 picture – no more free access. Maybe the word Freddo was blocked or something. We will never know. Nice to catch up afterwards over a meal and a beer too.
Thanx cached – nice one!

Clear skies, Astro.

Tried to log this while at the event using the internode access but I had used by portion of free access. Excellent event with lots of interesting people to meet.

27-Mar-06
Thank you all that attended, it was great to meet the people behind the caches. I picked up a few new ideas, and I will post some info in the forum about Cachemate for paperless caching for those that were interested tonight.

Cheers from The Barramundi's

Great to cacth up with people, especially to work at the same site as people for years without knowing they cache!
Here's the link to the wiki page on caching trips, if bits are not clear let me know and I'll flesh them out.

Suggestions for seminar speakers

Freddo – Why frogs cannot count.
Shonkylogic – Do you have any cheese?
Astro – Beta, it is just a Greek letter.
Parrothead – The art of shuffling.
Skippy – Where’s the dynamite?
Alex – We have cheese
Unicycle – Going backwards
Zytherin – It’s so black! You can hardly even make out its shape. Light just falls into it. I mean it’s black, just totally black!

16-Mar-06
Unable to attend the night but was hoping someone from down south would be able to give Gandald the Blue TB a ride into town. Gandalf has completed his quest and we've got him back to Adelaide so he could be reunited with the Scargoes.

15-Mar-06
Could very well be there if time allows

15-Mar-06
P of the 'scargoes will be there, been playing for a while with Ozi & GSAK but not to any great depth yet ... Maybe a few tips & tricks will speed us up [;-)]
We've had enough trouble from the Little Miss TB so she's up for swap too.

14-Mar-06
Dropping off some bugs.
