Hi Rathome,
Just wondering if you had simply forgotten to re-enable the cache now that the icon is back.
This is such a great cache - wouldn't want to lose it..

Thanks mtbikeroz, I am on holidays at the moment but when I return I will re-enable the cache. I cant put 2008 as the date for this log yet so I will edit it later.
It appears the Tin Man has gone walkabout, so no point in anyone stopping here to admire him anymore.
We're off to see the wizard...
Look.. there's the scarecrow!
...and Toto! I see Toto!!!
But hey, look over there next to the lion.. isn't that.. nope, nope.. I don't see anything!!! What Tin Man???!
The Tin Man is obviously off on his own yellow brick road quest, because he sure as heck wasn't here! - I found some debris that might be part of his suit, cast off as the shackles from a freed slave to the tourists, but no sign of the Tin Man.. not even an oil can.
Can I take this not-so-metaphore too far? Probably.
So we (allrounder and I) found this cache, found no metal, and went along on our not-so-yellow and not-so-brick road.
But thanks for the stop along the way. The wicked witch must have been through here before us.
TFTC
Took - memo stand (to put a memo in... probably about my red shoes or something.)
Left - turtle keyring (he got swept up in that tornado that swept the land...)
*there's no place like home, there's no place like home*

Found @ 4:31pm with Fore!
On the way home from "The wind and the willows", this was much easier to get to (and without the worry!).
But where is the Tin Man??
A horse watched us from across the way as we searched for the Tin Man after finding the cache. We think we saw bits and pieces of him but that was it.
Took nothing, left water pistol.

Site of the great invisible Southern Tinman. We found the cache but no-one was home, the Tinman must have gone walk-about. He may have shed a bit of clothing, bits of metal and mesh were lying nearby, but no sign of his footprints. Where has he gone?
Thanks for the cache and the fun we had trying to find the Tinman.

Found @ 12:00 noon with SecretSquirrel-BJC. An interesting feature and a nice easy find. TFTC. TNLN
The first of three caches with the kids this afternoon. We all enjoyed the sculpture (although it was a little weird) and had no problems finding the cache.

Up the hill we went in the early hours of the morning. Just a word of advice that if you happen to be a King Charles Cavalier with long fluffy ears like me, be careful that you don't get burrs in your fur as it really hurts when you have to get them brushed out. We all still had lots of fun anyway. Thanks Rathome for giving my family a reason to stop here and let me out of the car for a run.
Love this Tinman. I knew exactly where this would be when I saw the name. Other members of the Winglen team have never noticed him, despite driving past dozens of times!Found easily, although a fair amount of traffic today. L GC, TNSL. Nice cache, thanks.
Knew where this guy was and only had to wait for the gps to finish counting down so that we could stop in the best place. Cache was a quick find and even I have no answers about the tin man.
As I have done probably many times before I drove right past the tin man without noticing it. After coming back to the cache location I kept wondering what was the relevance of the the name. Then after re-hiding the cache and turning around to return to my car I noticed it. A bit bigger than I had thought.t
Luckily we were travelling in the right direction to be able to stop and not have to cross the traffic, nice easy find. TNLN Thanks Rathome
Ah McDonald's toys, the bain of the geocache. This one is full of 'em! And really... who's ever going to use a bandaid that they retrieved from a cache on an open wound? [xx(]
Anyway, this is another cache that took a while to get a break in the passing traffic to grab but at least a much easier ascent from the road than "Southern Gates"!
TNLNSL Thanks Rathome!

Found by Mary & David at 0805. He is certainly intriguing, yet more understandable than some of the other (high-priced) artwork around Canberra. Wonder how long he has been here? TNLN. Our thanks to Rathome.
I did visit this on the way to the South coast way back in Jan 07, I must have forgot to log online, I also traded but its been a few months and I can't remember, anyway TFTC
Got it nice and quickly on the way back from Cooma. Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks very much for the cache.

Cache Sixty-One in the company of Rallywrxwagon and Team Rubik, on our 31.5 hour none stop caching spree and Sixty-One of Eighty-One for the trip to Canberra and then Wagga Wagga. The cache was found at 13:35. After our previous hill climb this cache was a walk in the par. I loved the tin man. Thanks for the cache.
A simple find at an impressive monument. Henty have a poor man's version!
Thanks,

Cache 62 of 97 for me on this massive trip North. Found in the company of Team Rubik and Acts2youthgroup. This cache marked a couple of significant things for our trip;
* We cached "gate to gate" non stop within 24 hours.
* I set a new personal milestone of 62 caches in 24 hours, set over two states and a territory VIC/NSW/ACT. 2.30pm 4/1/07 to 1.40pm 5/1/07.
Thanks for a nice hide.

Dropping off TB. Hopefully a sking cacher will take you to sydney and on to great adventure!
Geoteen did this one on dusk and was SO paranoid about passing cars spotting him (was worried they'd think he was having a toilet-stop, ah the peculiarities of youth!). Anyway, a quick easy find and no sign of the farmer

For some reason Tin Man always makes me think of Doctor Who or to be more precise one of his companions, Leela. You know the one who ran around in a very tiny outfit wanting to kill people. She encountered a Tin Man as she called it in the episode called the Time Warrior but it was just a crude robot made by a Sontaran.
Grabbed this one as a quickie break on the way past. Why does the tinman only have eye? TNLNSL
Always thought this place would be a great place for a cache. Glad it was not as obviouse as I thought.

Went out to the tinman this morning before work..
Sooooo very peaceful. Well nearly was sitting in the grass out of view when I heard a car stopping (loud music) thought I was finally going to meet a fellow geocacher, but in the end they drove on.
Took the Whiskey Dogs TB to find some more whiskey and left a Aussie Insect card pack. One of these day I'll get a Travel Bug of my own to track around the place!

Nice early morning cache, there was actually a little bit of fog rolling around in the fields nearby.
No farmers this time, they must have still been asleep.

Ah yes, I know where the Tinman is, I ride my bikes past him quite often, and he is only 4.8km from home.
So, off I go, a FTF, left a green ball, took a keyring. Took TB also. Got there at a beautiful sunset & took photo of sunset rather than the man. Thanks Rathome.

Hmmmm, thought I was quick, but obviously not quite quick enough! Was quite dark when I arrived at GZ. Parked opposite. Then, just as I found the cache the farmer across the road came out in his car. He drove slowly around, probably wondering what that car was doing there, and then went back home. Almost when I was brave enough to turn my torch on again, he came out again. Drove around slowly, and then drove away. After all that, I decided to fill out the log quickly, and get out of there! (Waved at the tinman who was shining eerily in the dark. Took gel (wouldn’t want any geokiddies to find that…) left a cat, and Whisky dogs TB. Thanks for the excitement Rathome!
