Or

To the person who put this here, please take a look we’re you hid it and put another one there incase it’s not there! Thanks

A day off work and although it was a cold morning it’s turning into a beautiful autumn day so why not head up to the Sunshine Coast.
Was driving past here and thought I’d better stop for an oldie.
No one around and it took me a while to spy it but got there in the end.
Thanks for maintaining this old one.

After coming down this lovely bushland trail in the middle of suburbia, I was soon at GZ. At first the GPS was taking me all over the place but once I found the less obvious hiding spot, the cache was in hand. He was sitting out in the open, so I popped him back into the hiding spot with plenty of camo. Thanks for bringing me here d.d.dudes!
This was our first geocash and it was so fun! We did get lost and made the mistake of not wearing shoes, but that was user error.
Thanks a bunch!

What a beautiful and unexpected Trail on the hinterland side of this coastal area.
A couple of brush turkeys disappeared as we drew closer, and our log signing was accompanied by much bird sound and otherwise complete serenity.
Thanks d.d.dudes

218. That was a bit tricky. It’s not so much camo as it is part of the landscape! Had to dig deep and not give up on this one, thanks!
Quick find near home. Cache in great condition.
Picked up a travel bug to help it find cheese.

d.d.dudes I found your cache old saltys trail on 1/8/2022, 11:50 am. This is my find 3880 and find # 7 today. A quick and easy walk by. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
After climbing Mt Coolum we had some time to grab a few oldies in the area before heading back to our accommodation.
This cache was out in the open and worse for wear so we brought a replacement with us and fashioned a new cache which we placed under the grass tree. Hopefully it’ll last a little longer.

There’s a couple of events on the Sunshine Coast this weekend so it’s a great opportunity to stay up here and cache to our hearts content…
Chamad joined us for the slew of FTFs on the Western side of the Bruce leaving Davinells and I to climb Mt Coolum for a milestone…
We then collected a couple of oldies before calling it a day….
Seeing this cache might need some attention we came fully prepared with a selection of new containers… we replaced everything including the log and swag to give this oldie a little more longevity…

Another area I wouldnt have known about if it wasnt for geocaching!! Thanks for bringing me here. Today I just came for the cache but I’ll be back another time for a proper walk around, and I’ll bring the aeroGard with me then ️. Found the cache ok. I wasnt able to write our team name in the log book as it was too drenched and slimy. Photo as proof. The lid is broken and is letting water in, even though the log book was double bagged. If the next finder could please bring a replacement container with them that would be awesome
This super old cache has been on my target list for so long, it's like me an' ole salty are ol' pals.
My mate teslavj and i spent the better part of the day basking on our self proclaimed island of pincushion nearby.
Eventually having to withdraw for the day was getting on and a handful of caches still to be hunted... here it was i was most excited to include on our little excursion north of the river though.
It was towards the tailend of the afternoon and the mossies were tenacious, so luckily the cache was quickly discovered, signed and we then skeddadled into the fading light, of course after first following the trail further to it's end.
Thanks so much d.d.dudes for hiding a cache in this hidden little swamp so long ago, and then keeping it alive since!
Sorry for the late log... uh... merry christmas!

Out and about in this beautiful part of QLD today, enjoying the company, and weather ️ TFTC
Always great to chase down an old cache. The hint does not really match the hide these days, and the container was rather full of water, but the replacement log book was still functioning well. TFTC!
Old Salty was no match the GAJET team today and we successfully added a top 500 to our list of finds.
Today, my plan was to head north to the Sunshine Coast, and attend the Coolum Beach weeding CITO. Following the event, I managed to hike a few mountains in the area, starting with Mount Coolum ascending from west to east, followed by Emu Mountain for that virtual cache. I then spent the afternoon finding geocaches around the area and along the beach promenade, which was quite enjoyable, and continued south down to Maroochydore and Mooloolaba. A few Adventure Labs were completed during the day, including *Coolum Beach Sightseeing*, *Point to Point Promenade*, and *Sunshine Coast Coastal Pathway*.
I parked and accessed this trail from the north, and it was an enjoyable circuit around the lake. I loved the art sculptures, such as of the snake carved from a wooden log! Upon arriving at GZ, it didn't take long to make the geocache find, and also it was rewarding to find an oldie 03/2006 hidden cache, with it being one of Queensland's 500 oldest active geocaches. Unfortunately there are a few issues with this one as previous visitors have commented on: the container is no longer waterproof (a few holes in the lid), and with water ingress inside, the logbooks are ruined. Luckily I had read ahead of my visit, and brought a new logbook and plastic bag with me, but future Geocachers will need to ensure the logbook is done up tight, as the container offers no protection to the logbook. Hopefully this short term fix will be satisfactory until the CO can return and perhaps replace the container. Thanks anyway d.d.dudes for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

A short walk along a shady track and the container was soon located exactly as described. Unfortunately the container is no longer fit for purpose and there are 2 log books that are slimy and manky, so I didn't see a point in adding more paper to also get wet. Left my stamp on the lid instead.
Perhaps a kind local could replace the container to keep this vintage cache alive.

Beautiful walk. Cache has been full of water at some point and everything in it is ruined. Thanks
I was having a seemingly arbitrary and varied day today. An early morning drive from Brisbane had me at a paddle event at Traveston Crossing. Then, with the event finished in the middle of the day, I was keen to maximise my day up north, so went for a drive. I travelled through Brooyar State Forest, found a quick geocache in Gympie, then tracked for Point Arkwright for this choice geocache. The last of the really old geocaches on the Sunshine Coast for me to find.
Also, nice to break up an otherwise long, featureless drive home from Gympie. I managed to neglect all the instructions in the description and navigated to Yaroomba Park to set off. This turned out to be a good option as a little boardwalk disappeared from the back of the park in the right direction. I would later learn this boardwalk varied to a dirt track, and circled the entire area in here. Where I started, and which direction I walked made no difference.
This really is a hidden beauty of a place. I struggle to think most folks would know this lovely little lake and wetlands without a geocache to bring us here. I thoroughly enjoyed my stroll around, and a few other folks were off for an afternoon stroll also. At some point, I did pause for the geocache. While the log mentioned in the hint is long gone, and the xanthorrhoea are now more like lomandra, the geocache was an easy find.
Having missed the description, and the logs, I wasn't to know that it's in a right state! Inside was literally full of water and I had no way of looking after or replacing it. I emptied out the water and that's as much as I could achieve. Bummer! But on such an old geocache, better to have them around, bringing folks to lovely places. This was a brilliant walk to end my day - now just the 2 hours back home. Thanks for showing me this wonderful place, d.d.dudes

Not in very good condition unfortunately. Could do with some TLC from a local. Thanks for the cache
Found a car park <100m to the cache. Nice quiet walk to gz.
Log is very wet. Still managed to scribble my name.
Thanks for the cache and taking us here d.d.dudes.
Please check out https://coord.info/GC8M4ZQ - CacheQLD - Dayboro - Queensland's Next Big Event 03 April 2021, 07:00 - 23:45 and log your will attend. It's going to be a great event.

Such a nice little track for a quick walk, the geodog loved it. Quick and easy find, however the cache is in need of some maintenance , unable to sign as the logbook has been destroyed by recent rain.

After a lovely 'little walk' (27kms, in the growing heat - hmmmm, not crazy honest), Mrs SP, OBC and I took an afternoon break before venturing back out again this evening for "just a few more eh?", Suuuuure! And a promise of food. Being one of the oldest 500 active caches in QLD this one was high on my wish list, and so glad to make the walk in here for the (relatively) quick find today.
Thanks d.d.dudes for entertaining me at this location.

Today, Mrs Slow Puncture, Pprime and myself set out on a marathon walk. We had planned everything that was capable of being planned, however we could not plan the weather. The heat wave arrived, and while there was smiles and bravery at 5 am, the smiles were dissipating by midday. Eventually, we had to acknowledge that the sun was stronger than our willpower, and call it a day. Before then, we managed 27 kms, quite a few caches, lots of jokes and banter, and many amazing views of the ocean and the Noosa headlands. This was one of those caches .
TFTC d d dudes!
So amazing to see an original log here! The first page is missing, but the first finders date from 2008. Such amazing history.

Saturday. Having the lovely pleasure of doing a long walk earlier today with PPrime and OBC, we’d had a couple of hours rest by now and were keen to grab some more caches (albeit drive by ones mostly) and then some well earned dinner. Walking 27km gives you the hangries after a while. We’d had some laughs at the unit checking out their selection of DVDs, and some drinks to refresh us. Our muscles were tightening up, so the best way to combat this was to do some light walking. SP had been to this cache about a year ago and today I had the pleasure of accompanying OBC and PPrime to this one. Mr Prime had obviously had a huge day of it today. He’d found every cache and kept us girls walking a decent pace. He must have been getting a wee bit tired though as he had looked straight at this cache and then moved on. I called out to him that he had looked right at it and he just shook his head. At last! I felt I was contributing to the day’s events . Writing a note as we’ve been here before.
What a wonderful bush walk - thank you. Found cache signed log and replaced as found. Log book is saturated.
Found it but unfortunately left the pen in the car, water in the bottom of the cache, emptied it and covered it with more camo
This was very fun getting 2nd one. I feel like a pro but I am not. TFTC.
Staying in the area with a few friends - wandered down here and found without issue. Thanks for sharing the area!!

Heading back to Brissy after a good caching, locating a few oldies along the way. Couldn't get the trails to line up and it was Gcoven that talked me into going bush. The scrub didn't appeal with the wait a whiles and spider webs but the cache was quickly located. Now the clue means something. Thanks for maintaining this cache d.d.dudes.
No chance of locating the required track so bush bashing we went. Quick find at GZ to add another oldie to the collection! Tftc
We needed the hints! An enjoyable wander through the bushland. A fun find inside for the kids.

Monday. Today was a day where I was set loose among the pigeons so decided to tackle some more caches up the Sunshine Coast area. Old and Sunny Coast are good, plus caching date is very good. This was my first cache for today. Awarding an FP to this one. It’s a great cache location! Ample parking and a short stroll over some lovely grassy area. Bit chilly with the wind though today. Then a beaut walk along a fantastic path that Green Corps have been fixing up. A great boardwalk in the middle just tops this spot off for me. Got to GZ and my arrow only said 7m away from the cache, but I stook back and the CO notes said more like 15m, so I looked at where GZ probably really was and went straight in for the grab. No one else on the path today which was even better. Very lovely area.
This was the 1st of 6 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***d.d.dudes***, for showing us this place.

After lunch we were making our way home back to Redcliffe when I decided to take the gamble and ask my wife and daughters if we could stop for one more cache. I had already dodged the shopping bullet this morning so I knew I was pushing my luck. However, there wasn't a single objection raised. Get the defibrillator ready because I think I'm travelling with a bunch of women that need a kick-start.
In fact everyone jumped out of the car to walk in and look. That CPR must have worked on them. Are they all suddenly interested in caching or am I being buttered up for something far more nefarious? I knew we weren't driving by any shopping centres on the way home.
The cache was sitting out in the open so we stamped the log and covered it up a bit better. I was so surprised by the quick find that my heart skipped a beat. Keep that defibrillator ready. tftc

Been in Noosa for a few days and now heading south collecting a few caches along the way. Needed to be a quick find as there was lots of mosquitoes! TFTC
We were taking a leisurely drive back to Brisbane after a week in Bundaberg and took a detour from the highway to get a couple of older caches in the area.
I parked at the suggested parking area and took the trail loop to the cache. It is a lovely area to stroll around and the cache was quickly located. I completed the rest of the loop back to the car.

I was caching around the Sunshine Coast with Selva Girls today, and this oldie was last on the list before returning home. We parked at the spot suggested in the description (ignoring the car gps) and began the stroll through this pretty reserve toward the cache. After a short time we arrived at the spot the car gps was trying to bring us to (much closer...should have listened to him!) and cotinued on through. At gz we found the container after a short hunt and signed the log. Tftc d.d.dudes
So much excitement finding our second geocache ever!!! Muggles about so we pretended we were stopping for a snack. Took the little plastic dog, left behind Aussie stickers and a tiny red car driven by a Smurf. Thanks very much for the fun exploring through the bush. Rachel, Ben and I had a great time! Annie
