I was really impressed by the great artwork on the silos. I've been wanting to come to see this series of silos for ages and it was a perfect autumn day to have a quick road trip to visit a few towns within a relatively short distance of each other. I loved the history of this particular artwork. I collected the numbers for the final and somehow put in the wrong numbers and ended up on the other side of town. After rechecking the numbers I realised I had been close to GZ in the first place. There was no lid on the container but due to its location the log was nice and dry.
The Geokids wanted to do some caching so off we went. Thanks . MrC6 found this one.
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Moving today from Shepparton to Wangaratta. Couldn't be too early at the caravan park so a detour to drop the van off and head out to pick up some caches near Dookie and Devenish. TFTC djcache [^]
Another lovely, more leisurely drive for dalerious and I today mainly taking in the sights on this glorious Saturday in February . Had a little trouble locating the cache, and it was by chance I saw it locked in the mechanical gaol with the rest of the inmates. Luckily dalerious has long arms, and along with our clipboard we were able to break it out of gaol, signed the log and placed it back where it belongs.Thank you for the cache djcache.
Enjoyed looking at all this incredible all equipment. Gee they did it tough back then. Had to resort to the photo cause the info was now too hard to see. Solved the coordinates and found the cache all in good order. TFTC and making us stop to check out this great museum. Very much appreciate the stop.
Out with Geowife and Geodogs exploring the area. What a great museum, fantastic history. All good here. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
Out and about with &others for a day looking at the silo paintings. Had trouble seeking some of the the numbers so PAF while having lunch we worked out GZ. That was a bit of a hunt. I think it has got cache creep. It’s not magnetic any more and it’s lost it’s lid. Love the naming of this cache, very appropriate thanks for the cache
Over the camp fire at Broken Creek, Possums mentioned he had a fantastic time driving around the silo art trail.
After many a game of sequence, far (too) much chocolate fondue for world chocolate day (thanks RoamingHowie), it was time to pack up the tent and to discover the artwork for myself.
The title for this cache was funny and I had bypassed it earlier on my way to see the new artwork across the road. On my way back, I had just enough phone reception to look up the photo to solve the puzzle and figure out the coordinates. My phone was placing me in the middle of the train tracks, so I used the hint and systematically searched.
Thanks djcache for showcasing the history.

I was heading up this way to catch up with friends and to camp out with them at Broken Creek for the weekend.
After staying in Benella on Thursday night Beechworth was then my destination for yesterday before heading back to Broken Creek and to met up with the rest of the gang.
The weather held out for a great night around the campfire so after a great nights sleep I got up and after breakfast I decided to drive the Silo Arts trail up North.
Everything is still wet but the sun decided to make an appearance as I drove up.
My second town of silo art and I had to stop at the Gaol and have a look.
Are they happy in Gaol I’m not sure but at least they are protected in there.
I had to walk around till my phone decided to have reception so I was able to work out what was required.
A quick search and I soon added my name to the log.
Thanks djcache TFTC.

With so much rain over night and more predicted today (Friday) we decided to do the Silo Trail as there would be more driving than being out of the car lol. We made our way from Rutherglen to the Southern Part of the Silo Trail so we could do the AdLab as well. After soaking up the Silo and surrounds, the rain came so we weren’t able to find that cache for a while. Finally the rain stopped, we located that cache then headed here to do this multi. Once the numbers were calculated we headed to GZ and after a bit of a hunt JMelb found the cache.

I'm glad it was quiet as I was on my hands and knees
The coords didn't help but was able to find it thanks to the hint.

With the rest of the family in Sydney and a busy few weeks coming up at work I decided last week to have a day off to go caching. Looked at the map and initially thought about Shepparton but then saw an intriguing collection at Mount Major so that became my target. Picked what would be a sunny day (was raining when I left Albury but was fine most of the day - though very windy). In the end a successful day with 26 caches found and one DNF. Turned out to be a Team BGF day.
Heading home via Goorambat to do the AdLab that was published since I last visited. Good to get this one Finally sorted - furphy still in middle but the photo made this easy. Tried one spot and then a second and the cache was then found. Was a ghost town here otherwise.

Out on a caching adventure of 4 days with bushfire, Brisal 5 and Blackadder. We stayed nearby at Goorambat and travelled around from there. This trip had to be postponed a few times due to Covid.
Although Tag along and I have been to this area many times. We lived nearby when we were newly married. This was a new experience however, as I am a geocacher now.
Stopped here, did the maths a few times, then signed in as 3Bs, Team 3B6 or used name stamps.
The lid is missing.....
The sun shone us all day despite the weather prediction of rain and cold..
Thanks for the fun djcache
In the Wangaratta area for a few days caching with my very good caching mate from Bacchus Marsh 6Hinemoa2 and great caching friend from Adelaide and his mate the Blackadders.
Due to COVID lockdowns and other problems this trip has been postponed a number of times but we are finally going. Once in the area we put 3B6 or Bushfire in our logs to save space.
I am running late with my logs after finding so many in five full on caching days.
With so many caches found I have to use the cut and paste method as we found so many great caches from so many different cachers, so a big thank you to all those folk.

Found using the photo signed and replaced. No lid on container not sure if meant to have one but cache was ok apart from that. TFTC.
Yes the Furphy container was positioned such that the end details couldn’t be read. But with the info from the supplied photo we calculated the coordinates for GZ. The GPSr was a little off but we soon had the container and could sign the log. Thanks to djcache for the cache.
Wow so much of interest hiding in here.
Wondered what I could spot.
The good ole furphy sadly was a little to hard to read with my eyes.
But a look at your nice number had some likely calc's.
Before long the cheeky find was touched and signed.

Heading home, cruising through Tarcutta, then onto Holbrook and into Victoria from Wagga. Decided to follow a silo art path for a little bit. I did this last year, but out in the Western Districts on the way home from Mildura. Is there a silo in the country that hasn't been painted? Hahaha! I decided to do this multi as I was a little older than the other one - thanks for the cache djcache.

Good to tick this off after the DNF. Looks like the GPS was about 5m off last time so looking in the wrong spot. Easy Peasy today. TFTC.
TFTC,
We worked all but one of the NKH series out prior to the MEGA but didnt have time to complete the series.
Back this week at Barooga to play golf with Nana nel's Thursday social group.
Today was the rest day but we have used it to almost complete these. As well as the one we didn't have solved, there was onw we didn't have a suitable TOTT for.
A fantastic series with some head scratching along the way. A couple of favourites added and trackables visited some along the way.
We also added a few extras into our day and enjoyed them as much.

Today we doing the silo AL, saw the silo multi and nearly missed this one. Got the information off the photo as you can't see it now. Did the calculations then too find the cache, you need to read the hint properly. Found, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to djcache.
Leaving Benalla we followed the silo art trail to Tungamah
We then made camp at Numurkah beside the creek. A great spot only a couple of caravans here.
Following lunch we toured some of the back roads finding a few caches, whay a great way to visit the area.
We found a variety of caches in some great locations.
Thankyou djcache for placing this cache.
Found out caching with Wollaston, Liz&Bruce, Hans&Linda and Muff1 on the way to the Wangaratta Mega. No chance this equipment is escaping this enclosure, loved the passion fruit pulper. Very good silo art on the nearby silos.

This one has been a long time between attempts. The first would have been over 10 years ago and I clearly remember being watched closely from over the road as the locals were enjoying a cold one out front of the local watering hole, so thought best for the longevity of the cache was not to attempt to retrieve it.
Today I was out and about with the Haveanez clan touring around the countryside checking out the silo art and collecting a few caches along the way. Much easier searching and looking a lot less inconspicuous as more are able to poke around as we wandered around the exhibit. Had almost left this as a DNF after we couldn’t locate it. Widening the search area Big Ez had picked the hiding spot and it was safely ticked away amongst the spider webs.
Been a long time but finally ticked it off.
TFTC, Cheers.

With beaut weather forecast for the day we decided on a day trip to visit the painted silos with DazRascal on a leisurely Sunday drive.
Such an old multi, 2006, was very excited to see it was still safely tucked away and we could add our names to the log.
We had a good wander around the old machinery, admired the silos before doing a few laps up and down before DazRascal put his hand in the right spot. TFTC and highlighting this place of history. Cheers

I don’t think it’s here. With the hint and difficulty rating and a recent DNF, looks like it gone.
Checked our coordinates several times, searched in area of hint, but unfortunately did not find cache today.
Cords off then used logic. Very much enjoyed the info and the spot. Apologies for tardy log as its been sitting in drafts - ooops! TFTC and the fun.
What a wonderful lockup was found here this morning. We were familiar with a few of the inmates.
We did the calculations and located the hide surprisingly quikcly.
A top stop and we were pleased that it was next to the silo as well.

A great day checking out the North East Silo Art. Starting in Mulwala we headed South to Tungamah, St James, Devenish and Gooroombat before heading across to Dookie College (to show the family where I went to Ag College) and Shepparton and up to Picola before heading home.
Visited this after working out the silo art multi. Worked out the co ords. Tin roof had as spread out. Katy went to check a spot using her phone and looking back at her in her screen was the cache First place she checked!!

Fascinating cache notes about an amazing collection of historical machinery.
This multi predates even the Silo Art, having been on the geogameboard for around 15 years! A true Golden Oldie!
**FEEDBACK TO CO** Time has taken a toll on the container, a fresh one is probably due.

TFTC. We are camped in Benalla for a few days before heading to Myrtleford for the weekend. Today we retraced our steps from yesterday to finalise the North East Silo Art. After completing the trail we went searching for other caches in the area as we made our way back to Benalla.
We had been here earlier but at GZ there were a group of machinery enthusiasts that did not look like leaving. We returned an hour or so later and the coast was clear. made the find with an effort.

The second find at the second silo location. A place fondly recalled by nanton34 from finding this very cache years ago. We admired the silo and the kids enjoyed a drink at the pub while I hunted down the coords and got low for the find. tftc

A nice quick find. Out exploring the silo art in the area. Nice to see the relics and learn a little bit about the history. TFTC
Snapped a photo and zoomed in on the required information - plotted the coordinates and set out to stage II. Mmmh, that was a very short walk to GZ! Poked about for a bit and then decided that we need to recheck our calculations, another search before resorting to the clue but still no cache. OK let's move on and try again on the way back later this afternoon.

What crazy times we are living through: we are on holiday from Springvale, VIC but our timeshare is just over the bridge at Capri Waters Country Club, Mulwala NSW and so we need to apply for a border pass and cross a State Line checkpoint to go out caching for the day!

Dropped in to check on this one while on return home. Great to see the silo work. Given the reshuffle of the equipment I'll add a picture of the Furphy tank end to this cache for those that can't access or have the eyesight to read the one here.
Maintenance visit during our COVID 2020 Murray River trip. While Melbourne was in a state of turmoil rural Victoria was still okay, and with 4 weeks leave, and all the borders closed we decided the only warmish place in Vic was going to be as north as we could get. After a decade or so travelling north and west we started on the trips we'd left til later - the Murray River. Starting from East Gippsland we got to Wemen out of Robinvale before they announced Victoria was going back into Stage 3. Now we're working our way back home and avoiding Melbourne. Found this along the way. TFTC. DJ

This has to be a favourite. Loved all the old machinery and the name of the cache is so apt. Unfortunately, the light was fading which made it quite interesting, but it didn't take as long as it could have to have the cache in hand. Thanks for placing this and maintaining it for so long.
The name of this cache is so clever. The cache took us some time to locate as did the clues. Probably wasn't meant to be done in the fading light. Thanks for bringing us here and the cache. Another favourite.

Hot and humid today. Thankfully we had the camera with the zoom lens to make it a little easier to see the required digits. Tftc
Was always going to head out today for the souvenir but when I was given the option on Thursday evening that I could do what I wanted the plan was to collect one of the local caches (and reduce my chances of filling all my calendar holes this month) to a trip somewhere where I could get a few more. Options were around Myrtleford where I still have a few to collect or further west - in what I will call the Wangaratta-Benalla-Yarrawonga triangle. With the weather forecast so much better than the last two days (yesterday in particular was disgusting) I chose the latter. Hadn’t realised that this was where the silo art was so that was an added bonus. Poked around and found a few interesting caches (and missed a few as well). Interesting all these little villages all had pubs (that were open for lunch) but no shops (I had a hankering for a dim sim but had no luck). A pleasant drive and even got to cache in the rain for about 30 minutes.
This is another cache that probably needs maintenance but is definitely still there - I just didn’t have the time to grope around a large potential area for the find. Makes it difficult to find a cache when you can’t read the sign which has the hints- furphy has been moved out of normal human vision range (at least for the small words) so clue could not be resolved. Had a quick feel based on hint but not enough time for the whole area.

Visited the St Arnaud for the Mega Event and now staying in Benalla for a couple of days. Each day we went in different directions. Thank you to all the CO's who have placed these caches, as it was a most enjoyable time looking for them. Cache found and log signed. TFTC
Last full day in the Benalla area and exploring the countryside by searching for caches. Thank you to all the COs for placing and maintaining caches in this area for us to enjoy finding.
On a long weekend away staying at Benalla, doing the silo art trail. Here we met up with brownescows3. Very disappointed that you cant really see the water cart. So after reading the hint, we took a gamble and had a random look around, and bingo!!! TFTC djcache
Interesting puzzle! Very hard when you cannot read what is necessary to complete the cache! So with muggle sister-in-law we searched thoroughly using the clue and hit the jackpot. Thanks djcache for this little "locked-up" cache. It is there and in good condition even if the object has been shifted?
Easy find today as we travelled past checking out the silo art. Great history. Thanks for the cache.
Wow - it’s great to see the local area through the eyes of a geocacher, it makes for an very interesting way to travel around Australia.
Seeing these interesting parts of a town that shows the history, the memories of characters, and pioneers who lived and worked on the land.
Wow, was so lucky the gentleman was fixing the gate to the enclosure and let us meander through to the furphy to fin the dates required. Did a little maths to work out GZ and we came up trumps with the container with no lid, signing duties done and dusted and replaced the cache as found.
It would be helpful if the container had a replacement lid before the winter rains set in, sorry we didn't have one of this particular type with us today.

It took us a while to spot the Furphy and needed the tele-lens of the camera to collect the required info, but we got there. Time for an icecream (as the shop was not selling coffees), while we returned to the car to do some geo maths. Visiting the shop was just like time travel, a wonderful experience.
Then we went to GZ and searched for about 10 minutes until the little blighter revealed itself. The lid is missing from the container, but log is ok.

I love these type of multis! We were on our way back home after a week stay at Cobram with the van. We stopped by Devenish to check out the silos and log a couple of multis while we were here. Tyftc
What a great spot to come to for a few multis. Love all the old farm equipment. TFTC
Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
Thanks djcache (F=869 H=82) for the cache.

A nice quick multi which I think will be found a whole lot more now that there’s a painted Silo nearby.
