09-Dec-10
No luck for me. What a lovely area with very friendly Pukeko's. - BRING BREAD!!

06-Nov-10
Unable to locate this cache today, even with the kind help of the owner. Will keep an eye on it and return on another visit to the big smoke.

12-Sep-10
Can't see how you are supposed to find this one if you are not allowed off the boardwalk.

18-Jul-10
We searched and we searched but we couldn't find. Has not been found since Feb so maybe needs some maintenance? noticed some new planting activity in area so maybe has been disturbed?

18-Jul-10
Disregard previous comment by inexperienced new cachers. Cache is still in place. NOTE there is no need to disturb any vegetation to find this one if the hint is followed.

17-Jul-10
Not sure if the date's right but found the cache. TFTC

24-Feb-10
Had never been out along that walk, it was a lovely discovery in itself. TFTC

24-Feb-10
The walk was great, although we might have taken the clue a bit too literally, resulting in something of a delay in the making of the find.
TFTC

24-Jan-10
This was our favourite walk of the day. Amazing place and quite busy. TFTC

29-Dec-09
Nice GC Smile. We really enjoyed the walk in that reserve. Wittily hiding place. Thanx to Technokitten! Our second found.

27-Dec-09
3rd time lucky! Found it almost right away, knew what to look for since we found your other one

25-Dec-09
Couldnt find it looked up and down and around, will go back tommorrow for another look.

19-Dec-09
What great fun. We took three families along to find the treasure. We were all so excited when we found the box. Our first cache ever. Looking forward to finding many more.

16-Dec-09
lovely walk and found by some little hands
TFTC!

12-Dec-09
Lovely walk. Watch those muggles on bikes appearing from nowhere.

22-Nov-09
Sat on the board walk contemplating nature as muggles went bye, (Same sets of muggles as I sat and contemplated @ Ridele Rd. They must of just thought I was a thoughtfull guy)

25-Oct-09
Beautiful walk and saw a number of sea-birds and the nesting ducks etc. Nice spot to have a wander around. Thanks.

27-Sep-09
lots of muggles while we got close & personal with the boardwalk - not the 1st by the look of the pics. Had the wrong lens for pics of birds today but here's one from a previous visit. TFTC

12-Sep-09
Out with Kiwileon and Gadget-Tron.

Thanks for the photo Leon. Now I get the joke on the way back to the car.Big Grin
Azz

12-Sep-09
Out with OG Phatazz and Gadget-tron. Nice to see who they can't find Smile

12-Sep-09
Cheers Technokitten. The bird life was out in force too - good to see Smile

12-Sep-09
Found while caching with OG Phatazz, KiwiLeon and Greenblat. Quick easy find. TFTC

14-Aug-09
Finally got this one of my closest to home unfound list.
Nice reserve, tried it more then a year ago (with no luck)
Quick find this time.
Nice camo bag.
TFTC

19-Jun-09
Our very first find! Found by J. Hint was very accurate. As this is close to home we will return with an appropriate theme item to trade.
Watch out that you don't get trampled by muggles!

23-May-09
This was new territory for us and enjoyed the walk to GZ. Quick find and the overcoat is keeping the cache nice and dry and clean T4TC.

03-May-09
Cache is exactly where it should be. removed a lot of rubbish items ... folk should read cache theme notes and familiarise themselves with the geocachers creed.

19-Apr-09
Nice spot. I stood there for a while, moving the GPS from place to place, but still could not spot it. I did think about looking under the boardwalk, but too many people walking by!

10-Nov-08
Fantastic place to kick back and ponder where it could be hidden - I was in no hurry to find this one. Some places have to be savoured. The other caches can wait for another day.

27-Oct-08
A nice bushwalk in lovely weather. I needed the hint before I could find the box. No trade.

26-Oct-08
Searched all over the place... with no luck. Nice spot though.

27-Sep-08
Ditto Bobo. TFTC.

27-Sep-08
Found this about a month ago, only just found the scrap of paper that I wrote all the caches I found that day on.

TFTC

14-Sep-08
Interesting area with bird life.Thanks. Easy find

31-Jul-08
A nice find thank you

28-Jun-08
Looked all over the place up and under but couldn't find it.
Give it another try.

31-May-08
Lots of walkies muggles this morning. So the search was interrupted lots. Was about to give up and and put the GPS down for one last look and found the cache less than a foot from where we had put the GPS.

02-May-08
There were 5 sets of eagle eyes and we could not find this one today.

23-Apr-08
Great reception here- the co-ords led us right to the spot. TFTC, a lovely walk - some muggles biking, and next time we'll bring our bikes and ride the loops. TNLNSL

14-Apr-08
Just popped back at lunchtime and this one is still where I found it on saturday.
Hint 1: Look a little harder Wink
Hint 2: Don't go caching in the rain in your office clothes [:o)]

13-Apr-08
Looked high and low at and around the coordinates, but with no luck. We inspected everything we could reach from the boardwalk, and a bit beyond. Maybe previous visitor wasn't as inconspicuous as hoped, and inquisitive muggles made off with it? Could be that Team Fat Fish just had an off day, though...

12-Apr-08
Heaps of muggles running past today. Hard to look inconspicuous lying face down on the walkway. Nice wetlands area. TNLNSL T4TC

20-Jan-08
A great area to visit and enjoyed all the more because I hadn't been here for years. We found the cache OK, not too much drama here. All in order and rehidden as found.
TNLNSL - but we brought a whole tribe of folks (travellers) to visit.
TFTC - found with team cacher Sweet P.
The Turtle strikes again!

24-Dec-07
At Last! After 2 DNF's here, finally found it, and took under 15 seconds. Not bad considering the first two visits were about 20 minutes each. The white cane can now be broken and discarded (see earlier posts by BackPAQer, KiwiGarry and glynn (the only one) ) Or perhaps Phillapillar (the visit before this) one would like to take over “the caneâ€.
Obviously sunny days are better for this pastime than grey rainy days!
In – All Blacks key ring
Out – Grasshopper
SL Thanks for the cache.

22-Dec-07
Nice spot- saw lots of birds and ejoyed the walkways. Went to the end of the spit which was cool.
The cache hunting was a waste of time- Got to 1.7m away and 20mins searching without success. Perhaps we should have left the boardwalk? Not obvious which spoilt our fun. We got munched by mosquitos.

28-Oct-07
Great walk through the bush on really nice track. Great to see the fruits of spring following mum on the pond. TFTC

06-Oct-07
Found with the aid of a secret white cane!! ( See other logs for reason.) Thankfully we had VERY experienced cachers with us, & when Gary finally got round to taking his glasses off, he found it, exactly where my GPS said it was! Great hide, nice container as usual,in a nice place, well done.took 2006 CR Geocoin. Thanks!

06-Oct-07
#31 of 44 for today.
This rates highly for fantastic boardwalks and plenty of diversity! Loved the location...never been here before but been close! Thanks for bringing us here...sorry for the guy who now has to go out and shell out for a new white cane Razz. TFTC

06-Oct-07
15:30 This one took a while, even with five of us looking. But in the end it was where we had suspected all along.

Looks like "fun2seek" do indeed need that white cane Big Grin. Thanks for the cache.

Discovered the Compass Geocoin.

14-Jul-07
What has Technokitten used as cammo this time - invisible cloth? If my GPS is right, if the clue is correct, if the previous logs about quick finds are OK, if it hasn't been muggled - then I need white cane!! Will watch this cache to see if an investment in that white cane is required.

17-Jun-07
Went sailing in the morning, just across the water from here, and decided it was a bit too cool to continue, so with KC on her sickbed, and GC doing homework AC and JC went for a bit of a stroll to warm up.

Relatively easy find, as long as you look in the right spot.

Will be a bit more difficult now as before the rivets of the camojacket were winking.

Great spot, and one that we used to visit regularly when the kidz were little.

- Kiwi TB & Pink Ball
+ Compass rose geocoin & dinosaur

09-Jun-07
Nice little walk. Only 6:00 pm and already dark so out with the torch of course.
TNLNSL, TFTC.

Swopped TBs

27-May-07

18-May-07
Cache replaced in new position as the area is being replanted. Enjoy

11-Apr-07
Dropping in Jame's Geocoin in preparation for replacing this cache in a slightly different position

20-Feb-07
Temporarily disabling cache in order to replace the rusted container. New container going to a new hide now that the rough burned area it was originally placed is to be restored.
Watch this space for a "first to find" in the new location

19-Feb-07
Well looks like i found it just in time!!! yes container was stiff but thats how these box's get... cache was kinda exposed so i pushed it back a little deeper so it's not so noticeable.

11-Feb-07
A quick flora lesson revealed what a harekeke bush was. Have walked through here on numerous occasions, ensuring an easy find of GZ.
TNLNSL. TFTC. #61

04-Feb-07
Yet another great location. We had a lot of trouble opening the ammo box, the lid was very stiff, and it took two of us to get it opened. Out with the Wonderwoman travel bug and a kiw slang dictionary and in with a caribiner with compass and a bottle of champagne bubbles. TFTC

01-Feb-07
Dropping the lovely "Wonder Wonam Travel Bug" for Antman2006.

29-Jan-07
The cache proved a little difficult to find as the GPS was jumping about all over the place. The hint soon put me right, but I was a little disappointed that I had to venture so far off a track designed to keep people of a sensitive conservation area. Cheers Gav [1036]

29-Jan-07
Nice place. So far yet so close! Hmmmm... Discovered wonder woman TB

28-Jan-07
Cool park. Also found a frog Very Happy

-penguin
+wonder woman travel bug

27-Jan-07
Cache location nicely selected to enable a pleasant loop walk to be made, if approaching from the south. Had to use quite a bit of force to open the lid, which is getting a bit rusty. Then had to scarper deeper into the bush on hearing muggles approaching - no problem with cover here. TNLN, cheers!

23-Jan-07
First time i was a muggle along for the adventure.Addication has started

21-Jan-07
Longest looking for the day of 5 caches, but persiverence paid off in the end.

In: Golf Ball found earier in the day.

Out: Big Bloody Lizard.

Thanks for the hunt.

20-Jan-07
Such a well stocked cache. Well hidden and in good condition. Seems no one has been here for sometime.
TNLN
Thanks for the hunt...

28-Nov-06
A nice spot. Been to this conservation reserve previously for another old cache. A nice reserve anyway. Was a quick find
Cheers for bringing me back here

05-Oct-06
A great wee spot.
TNLNSL.

02-Sep-06
Had to have a bit of a look for this one - nicely hidden. Beautiful area - will find the other ones another day.

13-Aug-06
Not this time

23-Jul-06
Lots of muggles today. Almost got caught cache handed, but managed to disguise my actions. Well hidden.
Thanks for the cache!
TNLN

22-Jul-06
Great to watch the windsurfers from near GZ. Had some trouble finding the first part of the clue but once we gave up on that it was pretty straight forward. TNLNSL

22-Jul-06
10.15pm. Took the wrong track to begin with. But got there in the end.
TNLNSL.
TFTC TK.
Cheers M+S [:O)] (342)

08-Jul-06
A lovely walk from another of TK's caches, which we enjoyed. Cache took a bit of finding, signs of bush bashing in the area did not aid us at all. Resorted to using the hint, and eventually found it, actually in front of the hint object. Nil in or out. Thanks again TK.

08-Jul-06
walked to this one after visiting Riddle Rd Cache. It was a lovely walk. Found the cache in front of the clue, got very muddy

25-Jun-06
After that challenge laid down by Just Floundering I just had to come back here and find this cache. I even brought Mrs Tufty along for moral support.

After searching in and under the object in the clue (no, I didn't uproot it) I finally located it under something else.

In: The brown gecko I found last week near the GZ.
Out: Nil

Cheers for the cache, Technokitten, and JF for the extra incentive.

24-Jun-06
2.25pm. Always an interesting exercise to search for a cache after another has failed - and to find it !! Especially after such an experienced cacher as Tufty failed to find it. You must be losing it Tufty !! There it was exactly where the GPS said it should be, nicely camoflauged and tucked away. No worries about being muggled. It being such a nice winters afternoon today we then celebrated with a walk to the end of the spit as the tide was out. Good display of Oystercatchers, Dotterills, Grey Herons, Kingfisher, Pukeko and assorted ducks. Bit of a worry though - a ginger cat (domestic as it had a collar on)was having a good stalk amongst the ngaio's on the first part of the spit.
Thanks Technokitten for creating an enjoyable afternoon.
TNLNSL
Cool M&P.

18-Jun-06
Searched high and low for this one in the GZ but was unable to locate the cache, but I did find a brown plastic gecko on the ground within 1.5m of the GZ. So I'm wondering whether it has been muggled.
Maybe a check of the GZ is required, TK.
A great area.

09-Jun-06
Found the cache after searching for half an hour in the dark. gps was a bit over the place under the canopy, but that didnt stop us. Good hiding place, and the ammo case makes a good container (provided the contents are sealed in the bags.

08-Jun-06
Nothing behind the harakeke behind the black stump.

03-Jun-06
This was in an area that a cache was in last year. It was also the spot that last year our thermostat and pump went so we struggled to get home from here and ended getting towed from Drury back to Hamilton.
Third cache of the day and the one that brought up our 300th cache.
There has obviously been a fair bit of work done on the walkways.
Nice easy cto find and well stocked with themed items.

20-May-06
As requested, I took some photo’s of the birds, but neglected to bring a USB cable to New Zealand with me – mea culpa. I did find the cache, but it took some doing. I should learn to trust the GPS.

17-May-06
second time i have taken students to search for this and have still not found it!

17-May-06
i liked trying to find it

17-May-06
We were going on a school trip for Saint Kentigerns bu tbe couldn't find it cause our GPS was off

17-May-06
Quick walk with out the kidd, very wet and muddy at site. no swop

27-Apr-06
A quick trip through the reserve on mountain bike to save time. Had a devil of a job finding the cache cos somebody put it in a different spot but they hid it better than I did
Added a fluffy Blue Penguin
Removed inappropriate Ford inflatable thingywotsit
Has anyone taken photos of birdlife in this reserve... would love to see them uploaded here.

25-Apr-06
The second of your caches we went to today and we found this one - hurrah... Although so many muggles walking past we had a long talk about the swamp pine trees etc until they walked past - one even asked if we were taking birds!! We assured her we werent'! Thank you for introducing us to this area as well. (next time we might come in gum boots!) TNLN

18-Apr-06
An easy find after a lot rain this afternoon.Boardwalk very slippery.GZ is rather trampled.
Following the Equator TB visited
Cheers cj.trex

17-Apr-06
Found it not far from GPS Coordinates.
Always nice to see this area.
Out Laser Pointer in superballs.
SL

17-Apr-06
Great cache. Cool theme. TNLN.

09-Apr-06
This cache is close to the site of one of our early caching finds, that is no longer there. We were a bit uncomfortable with the siting of this cache as the bush and wetlands have been restored, planted and are protected. Not sure if it is good to go off track and thrash about given all that, plus need to role model good practice for any kids with us. (The area where the cache is is not particularly fragile though). Maybe consider resiting it to somewhere a little closer to the track. Having said all that, it is a great cache and this is such a great area, its always good to revisit it.

09-Apr-06
Nice easy find between showers. I knew my son has been studying Godwits at school and we were hoping to see some but they must have already headed north for the winter? Many thanks

08-Apr-06
Well given a mention we had to come see - no Bagels today as dogs are no longer allowed here. Shame as usual the minority spoil things for us. Still a great spot for a walk and great GC. Where do you get those ammo tin? They rock!!

- 2 soft toys
+ Laser pointer
+ keyring pen - ideal for GeoCaching Wink

TFTC TK you are getting around abit and hiding all sorts - thanks for all your effort - appreciated!!

08-Apr-06
Nice to see a cache stuffled full of goodies. TNLN though. My GZ was 10m off.
Cheers, M@
