Logs
Thanks for the easy clues. My friends (a local walking group) were delighted to find their first cache.
Quick find along a beautiful walk. Thanks for the chance to slow down and sign a log.
Finalf29, 3Mutineers and I all needed a walk to clear our heads and vent a little frustration from work. A bit wet underfoot but had a wonderful walk all the same. Way back in the eons of time I helped make a walking track out here in the reserve... sadly it has, in the intervening 40 years, been let grow over. Thanks for bringing us out here... we will definitely be back.
We were talking so much we nearly walked past! Thanks

It was a nice walk along the trail. Just before reaching gz I spotted a small echidna, who posed for a photo, just before it started to rain. It was a quick dash to gz and finding the cache from there.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Very nice walk around Barren Grounds Reserve. The weather was perfect and the view at all the lookout was amazing. At Gz very interesting area.

TYFTC was still perfectly intact. We left a little trinket. Found this after a huge bush walk with the kids. If youre only going for the cache, We recommend going down the West trail, Not east like we did
Walked the Griffith Loop Trail to do some birdwatching - without much success !! So it was a great consolation prize to pick up this cache on the way through.
We enjoyed a pleasant walk to this cache, with an Earthcache just 70m away. After reading logs about the container, we brought in a slighly smaller container to replace the old one. Transferred the logbook and trinkets to the new one which fitted well into a hidey hole. A bit more out of the weather. TFTC
Forgot to log the other day but was a fun find and a nice walk, container is damaged and needs to be replace as water has gotten into it.
Here with nissan 65 on a training walk for another long bushwalk in WA in may. Thankyou for bringing us here. Thanks for the cache
Really enjoyed our walk to GZ, saw two echidnas, plenty of birds, sundew plants, interesting mosses, a whole field of grass trees... just gorgeous. Great natural stone bridge close by. TFTC Bigmickb
After seven hours behind the wheel i needed to move my legs. And luckily i found this wonderfull loop walk. I even saw a short-beaked echidna. Thank you for leeding me into the bush.

Found it on a misty day - saw a wallaby nearby. Lovely location. The box is broken and the contents wet.
Nice and quick find on a great walk. Container is getting really damaged and log is damp. TFTC
Found by Pi.
Great walk around Barren Grounds with wildflowers galore, great weather, great views, birds and a Echidna.
Did the loop walk with some friends and arrived at the bridge before realising I had passed the cache...oops. Quick backtrack and it didn't take long to find the cache. Log book has gotten wet and was damp. Had to use a pencil to sign the log. May need some TLC. Had a relaxing lunch at the bridge before completing the loop to the car park.

I thought I would have done this one years ago, but apparently not! Out walking today around Barren Grounds with Andrew. We sort of came at this one from the wrong side, Andrew initially thinking he'd found the cache, but instead quite possibly had his photo taken at a National Parks animal monitoring station nearby (note for future searchers, it's NOT the white tube or the camo box on a stick)!
TNLNSL, the cache container needs a bit of TLC, some duct tape or a new container will keep this one going.
Thanks heaps for the cahce Bigmickb...Might be time for another walk?
best wishes,
Wal (and non-cacher Andrew)

Having made the trek in for the nearby earth cache, I nabbed this one whilst I was here. Like the clue states, the cache is very easy to find. It does have a hole in one corner of the container but the contents are mostly dry - if a little damp. Log signing duties attended, cache returned and I returned to the car. TFTC
After a big day yesterday I was still determined to get outdoors today. The journey today comprised of Barren Ground, Minnamurra, Kiama, Bombo, Shellharbour, and Albion Park. I managed to find 7 caches today (~20% of the remaining caches in my 50km radius). Now that most of the remaining caches are now decent bushwalks, I calculate I've walked 40km in the last 2 days!! Thanks to all the Cache Owners for the caches I found today.
First of the day. The walk in was a good warm up for the rest of the day. I found the container with a cracked lid and waterlogged. I tipped it up and let it dry out as best I could before returning it to its spot. Thanks for walk!

Pleased to find the cache today, not found since Oct 2016. All is in order and a good dry cache. TFTC
We made the shortish walk today from the car park to the sandstone bridge then headed up towards this cache. My GPS was back in the car and there was no phone signal, but I remembered roughly how far it was past the bridge and had a look for the first suitable place. With amazing luck I found it nicely hidden well away from prying eyes, not that there were many around here today. I did find a camouflaged camera along the track, probably NSW National Parks, hope they didn't see me walking off the track! Thanks Bigmickb for a top cache in definitely a great location.
I really enjoyed the walk in to the cache, heaps of Boronia out in bloom, great time of year,
I found this cache, then stopped at the stonebridge for awhile

Nearby to claim today’s International Earthcache Souvenir, ventured another 70m to also log a quick traditional. Noticing the last log about a cracked lid (and yes the cache was full of water), I’d brought along some gaffa tape to do a little maintenance. Did my best along the lid’s edge but couldn’t repair the corner that is gone. May need a replacement at some point.
The stone bridge was our lunch stop with the Shoalhaven Bushwalking Club today. A very pretty area that we have not visited before. The lid is starting to crack & will let in water soon. SL TFTC Bigmickb
Found this cache out walking the loop, and then going onwards, out to Cook's nose - spectacular view!! Also saw some beautiful flowers along the way, and two snakes. TFTC
Found walking the circuit trail. Some great views, but strong winds meant conditions were not ideal.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Cache quickly located as we did the 8Km loop. Nice area despite the rain. Retrieved the TB for onward travel.

Found with aspitbiker and the geotots; the 4 year old walked the whole of the 8km Griffith's Trail without any grumbles.
Lovely circuit with great views and wildlife and then a picnic at the stone bridge with lots of paddling. As a European, I approached stone bridge expecting a roman or gothic remain......how silly that was!
Dropped off a GC as it's such a massive container and is 100% muggle free!

Hey Big Fella,
Along for a walk with Blue Mars (& Martians) and Gribbly (all the Gribblets). AH including Mrs AH, the geokids and CpugerZ all enjoyed the walk in this beautiful part of the world. Lots see and take in.
Helped to have awesome winters day. We will upload the photo later .

Second time finding this cache, this time while the GP's were visiting! Lovely spot and hidden well. Left travel bug. TFTC
My first time at Barren Grounds and went via the Saddleback Trig and didn't see another person the whole trip. Found the cache without to much trouble after having a look at the Stone bridge. A great spot for the cache, signed the log and headed back for the car park. TFTC.
A lovely walk in the misty clouds to find this cache. I of course went the long way round, but it was worth it for the variety of flora and bird life.
The cache is in great condition, even though the logbook shows that some kids found it in July. Lucky they didn't log a find on line, so Im hoping I can still use the 8 months since last recorded find to add to my 5 Forgotten Years challenge cache

This was found easily on a most pleasant circular walk. Love the landscape around here.
Really enjoyed this one. A foggy and lightly drizzling Sunday and the usual afternoon lethargy had set in, when I thought of this cache. Found the gates unlocked this time so parked and headed up the track. It's a testament to how much Geocaching this last year has improved my fitness that I felt I was only just getting into my stride by the time I got to the area near GZ. What a stunning little spot! Took lots of photos then walked the short distance further and made an easy find. Cache container is in good condition. I considered doing the rest of the loop but the weather seemed to be settling in a bit so back to the car. A very nice distraction - TFTC!
A nice Sunday for our hike, not a cloud to be seen and the sun was glorious, took the 9klm long way around. Found GZ and the cache a few hours later in great condition, signed log book TNLN...not many muggles for a sunday and saw one other couple for the whole day. Main gate was closed for access to car park area, so parked off road near gate, there was a sign for fox baiting but saw no signage about "no walking access"...said a hallo to the caretakers at the cottage and walked on.
After a couple of stressful days I thought the 2km walk to this cache sounded ideal - and it hasn't been found in 6 months today! But sadly when I got to the gate to the carpark it says it's closed until december due to fox poisoning. I could have parked on the road, ducked under the locked gate then headed down the path, but it does say "no pedestrian access" and makes mention of poison ejectors which doesn't sound like a fun thing to discover when looking for a cache. So had to make other plans today.
Woke up and decided today was a good day to do this one, had a cupped and then the heavens tried to persvade us not to go, put on some rain gear and off we went. Rain turn to drizzle, still birds and butterflies greeting us along the way, always beautiful place to walk. Took pictures along the way, fog lifted, rewarded with a good size cache, did swaps. TFTC
A beautiful day and very nice walk to this cache. We've never been to this reserve before but after noticing all of the walking trails we'll be sure to return. This cache was just a taster of what looks like a super area to explore.

Great cache. This was our first one! We left a green magnet and took a bead kit. Container in good condition. Signed log and finished the nice walk. TFTC.
After doing the hike out to Cooks Nose we came back and found your cache. Top area and saw only 1 snake today . TN left TB. TFTC
TFTC. We are in the area to do some bush walking. The rain and mud have been a significant part of our time here. Took nothing left craft beads.
Have had a lot of rain in the area so the water was flowing over the bridge instead of under it. Interesting area for a cache. TN left some craft beads. TFTC
Another one on the less than 30km from home radius now off the list.
The whole family came for a walk to this one- a couple of child carriers and we were off. Surprised not to have seen anyone else on the track today but we enjoyed the stroll. I think I was expecting more of the bridge but impressive nonetheless. Cache found quickly at GZ and back to the car.
Thanks Bigmickb!

Figured that I would return to the location of the infamous 'difference between wombat and bunyip poo' conversation with Walw's kids years ago - this time with my own brood in tow. Little blue, and princess were amazing and covered the entire route to the cache without much complaint, little red wasnt keen on the walk, so dad had the best part of a 4km round trip cuddle with the littlest martian.
The kids were overjoyed to reach the stone bridge - and little blue was keen to explore further. Dad figured that he better conserve energy just in case he ended up carrying 2/3 little martians Once back at the car we finished off our supplies before towards to kiama for a well earned Icecream
Took TB, Left TB kids made various fair swaps - bubbles and a padlock were taken. Also collected a GCA Swaggy - will make a metal tag for you MickB, and put it back out in circulation

Quick and easy find. The camo had blown around a bit but now rectified. Looks like this was the first visit for a number of months. Left travel Froggy as I figured the nearby creek would make him feel at home. TFTC Wassa
I took the incy wincy tb and placed it in the nearby "no flies on me". I did not record its TB number. At this time of writing, it is still listed as being here in Barrenstone.
Mixing mountain biking with geocaching ... what could be better ? Easy find today and dropped off Incy Wincy TB. TN. Thanks Bigmickb. Kiama Krew.
Nice late afternoon walk for this one.
Thought I would take both TB's to move them on.

A great excuse to walk this wonderful track and locate this cache. Thanks for the cache TNLN
A perfect autumn day, so it was time to bundle up the family and head out for a walk and a cache or two. We headed first to "Cook's Nose", where there was supposed to be a GCA cache. We didn't find the cache, but the walk was well worth the effort for the amazing view south to Nowra and beyond. Next stop, the stone bridge and cache. An easy find, but lots of muggles today. In the time it took me to sign the log two other groups had passed by. It's always good to have a camera available to point at the nearest flower in these situations. TNLN. Actually, my bag of swaps was back at the car. Thanks BigMickB for showing me an area that I hadn't ventured into.
Like Krafty Charlie went the long way round. Had a DOH moment after a a few km's walk and found we were skirting GZ rather than getting closer. A lovely walk in all and thoroughly recomended due to the diversity of the vegetation. Thanks Bigmickb. A great day out.
I had a great walk with much wildlife this morning. But than you have to get up early!! logged at 7.40.

Brisk walk to get rid of some of the Xmas Pud! River flowing very fast after rain. Geokids found cache easily.
An enjoyable walk to get to the cache, we even saw some Christmas bells. Cache was easily found. Thanks for bringing us out here.
Took the long way to make a morning out of it & see all the wild flowers along the way. The bridge is under water but still able to ford the stream. When near GZ but still on the track I could see the container so rehid it. Left a HP noose, took nothing. That's it for caches in here - both enjoyable walks.
A great walk, reaching the creek the kids went off to find the cache. we left a key ring. Bella the dog now has a new toy.

Original water logged cache has been replaced with a new 5 Litre container, and should be about 80 metres from original position. New coords should be much more flood proof. Enjoy!
Cache has been submerged during a flood and all contents are completely soaked, including logbook which is now a mushy pulp.
Looks like we'll need a new cache and a more elevated location. cache repair team on it's way soon.
First find for the day. Been meaning to get back here for a while, today was perfect autumn weather - not too hot, not too cold, clear and sunny. After a brisk walk to GZA the cache was quickly in hand, however it appears that recent floodwaters have submerged the cache and the entire contents, including logbook, are completely soaked. I didn't have much time to try and air the logbook, but it was completely soaked so it would've taken all day. TNLN left calling card as log was too wet to write in. TFTC!
Found the cache easily after not looking at the signposts correctly and doing the 8km round trip hike...the wild flowers were out and all in all quite a pleasant and easy hike...TFTC T Glow in the dark crab L Katmandu carrabina
Went for a wander in the heat of the day & refreshed myself by dipping my hat in the brook. The cache was a beauty, chokka-block, so took a whistle but left nothing as struggled to get lid closed. On the way down walked past some tea trees where the seeds were popping open with a pronounced clicking noise. Will return to find the other nearby cache, but on a cooler day.
A glorious day for a walk, and a fabulous location to travel to. Thanks. We will be back to find the other cache, and perhaps leave one too! Lots more to exlore here yet!

Well it was wet, and cold, and rainy... and did I mention that it was wet?!
The creek was so high that the cache was nearly underwater, there must have been significant falls here recently compared to down in the 'gong. I signed the log and left the way I had come.
I was planning on crossing and walking down to Tables And Chairs, however the creek was WAY to high to attempt a crossing
Cheers,
W-L

Second find for the day, first was "Stuck on you" in the Royal National Park. Corrections to GPS make things much easier!
Still only new to this and had a chuckle when geokids went off on wrong track with GPS and no knowledge of how to use it. Worked out correct way to go (as time was limited) and after a short walk cought up with kids who were looking for cache. Did water depth test in some holes and could not reach bottom with 2 metre stick!! Great place for a quick swim in SUMMER, toooo cold today.
Found cache without much trouble. Took knife and gel pens left radio(tight fit) and 3 cards. Watch out for sharp rocks when retrieving this cache, I skinned my knuckles.
Saw bush walliby, many birds on way back.
Curious to see many fallen trees from big blow about 2 years ago totally uprooted but still growing
