So I’m not sure is it still a cache or not as I didn’t find one this time. Hope it gets sorted soon! Lovely look out point
After a chat with Huhugrub, decided cache log is still on (in) obvious object at GZ. Someone has taken the container (muggled hopefully, assuming all cachers are honest).
Current D rating could be a 2 and it can be seen by looking at the right angle.
Hope this helps - I’m not driving for a month or so - until I can replace container. Cheers, GC.

31/07/21 Disabled as apparently (and probably) gone. Thanks for letting me know.
Should I archive this? 15 years old. Time for a new one in the area? Having had yet another TFI (CT guided spinal epidural) today and severely restricted travel as a result of now having prolapsed each disc from L1-L2 through L5-S1, should I make the effort for non-local caches any more? Thoughts are appreciated. Or someone to take it over, if desired. I'm happy any way... It's just a game, a good one, mind you...
Cheers,
GC

We noticed Georick had a dnf here and thought we’d confirm if he is blind or not. No sign of cache here but sadly a lot of fly tipping signs instead.
Found the obvious place but could not see what was a 1 Difficulty cache. Nice area for a hide.
#12,496. Park, short walk and grab on Maungatautari Road in Karapiro. GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Thought this difficulty 1 rated cache would be a quick find. But it turned out to take a bit more time here than expected. Searched all around and under this obvious location, and initially turned up with nothing. Then walked around and around again, and then just spotted the sneaky hide when viewed at the correct angle. We would not say it was a standard hide for this type of location, but nevertheless very minimalist (as the previous cacher has said) and effective. There was no container as such, but the log remained nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
Returned to its slot as found.

Nice quick find. Got a scare from a small spider when I disturbed his home.

#8957. I have been in Auckland for the past week visiting family and now driving south to home via Tauranga and Rotorua. Diverted around the Maungatautari Road to pick up a few geocaches. I parked nearby and went to look at the view of the lake. Well chosen spot for a cache. Then headed to GZ where I made a quick find. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Great to get another old one from 2006. Thanks GenCuster for hiding it here.
A nice quick find thanks. We have looked here before and are happy now to turn the frown upside down.
Ms_KR and I are on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland for our family Christmas. Today we cruised from Rotorua to Hamilton. Please excuse the generic logs, there have been a few finds and they get muddled up sometimes.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Not sure how many times I've been here with KR before I was a cacher, but there's been a few fails since 2015. Powered on by morning tea at Cabbage Tree cafe and the thought of lunch (with eldest)in Cambridge we strode in to a vacant GZ and swiped it at last! Tftc
I had been on a weekend roadtrip up to the big smoke to attend a mate's 50th party this evening, but now was the big drive back home. But it's also a great opportunity to try to grab some caches on my way.
I have never stopped here before in all my years of driving past, but I was glad to do so today.
It only took me a moment or two to find this cache. When opened, the log was in good condition so I quickly took care of the usual field etiquette before replacing the whole thing exactly as found and getting back to the car to crack on with the day.
In spite of the previous log entry, there are no TB's to be found here. I suspect he/she has gotten this cache muddled up with another!
Thanks for placing this cache.

Stopped off to have a leg stretch. This cache was a quick find. Nice spot. TFTC.
I've always wanted to stop nearby and check out the river! We've never had a reason to stop until we checked for caches on our way and decided today was the day. Awesome view and we got to watch some water skiers as we hunted for the cache
Nice quick find once I managed to find and the parking. Took some good pics. Thanks for the placement. So busy taking pics forgot the two by the bridge.
Heading home to Hamilton, thought I’d do a Quick grab these three just off state highway one. Awesome view from here.
Staying nearby on Lake Karapiro. Last night we ventured out on the kayaks to see the glow worms. Today we are out exploring the area planning on visiting Sanctuary Mountain. As plans go it is pretty loose as we never actually made it to the mountain. This was one of the stops we did make.
Nice quick park n grab while heading to Cambridge for some dinner before heading back out on the Kayaks again to see the glow worms for a 2nd night. All good - TFTC

I was looking for a micro to bring me to 500 micros found and so a new badge on project GC so mission accomplished. A quick find here just as the rain set in, a lovely little spot which I bet is stunning on a fine day, just not today
Out and about in the rain... got to GZ easily and spotted the wee hide straight away. TFTC
What a lovely spot, thanks for bringing us here! The views up and down the river are great. All was good in the cache, log soon signed and relocated on it’s perch. TFTC
This took me longer than it should have... however it was dark, and the full moon didn't shine any light on it.
Persistence eventually paid off and log signed

On the way home after a week cycling in the Wairarapa Region. Thanks for hiding GenCuster
Having stayed in horohoro overnight, this was first task for the day.
Beautiful spot, easy parking.

Took a quick pit stop here and was pleasantly surprised to find a cache here! Such a pretty stop. TFTC!
Really nice view up here. Heaps of people jumping off the bridge. Couple sitting by the cache. Proved no problem grabbing cache as they paid very little attention to us. Tftc
Out with friends to try out our new kayaks we went upstream to grab a couple of caches. docked our kayaks and walked up the hill to get this cache. Thanks
We were kayaking down the river and pulled up at a bank for this cache. My friend and I walked back down the roadside to pick up this cache. Would probably have been easier to pick it up from the car but never mind! TFTC
FTF in 2019!
We stopped at this lookout for a quick sandwich lunch in the car, as it was raining heavily. However I braved the elements long enough to find the well-hidden box. Thanks for the hide!

Stopped here to grab this one today on our way home from the WENZ Mega . . . . . neat little hide and I don't think the muggle already parked up knew what I was doing . . . . I took a couple of snaps and sat a while and then carried on homewards . . . . . . thanks for this stop
On a long trip down to the mega with Lis's crew. So for me it good for numbers and favorites caches. With several stops and a lot of caches and several souvenirs up for grabs the trip was the perfect opportunity to get my numbers up and get some challenges that I have qualified for.
We found this one while passing through the area today. I'm off to the Mega in Wellington with thegreatauk. I wanted to get a long life of smiles along our route. An easy pull off area and an amazing view. Thanks for placing your cache here in such a beautiful spot, thanks
Driving around the North Island for a camping and climbing holiday. Collecting caches along the way and seeing some amazing scenery. Thanks.
We stopped here for lunch and a run around on our drive down to Taupo today. No water skiers today, but we did find this nice jetty nearby. Thanks!
We headed to Taupo on Friday night then onto Huntly saturday early morning to do the puzzle caches Eyes and to also complete the Hidden Creatures challenge which we have finally achieved. then it was to head bnack down north towards home but not before grabbing another cche or two along the way. we came along this one and a few muggles were hanging around but yay we were in luck they were in the wrong area so off to ground zero we went and what an amazing view so I asked Mr watcache to come and have a look around to, a great spot to stop and have a bite to eat or just enjoy the views. A quick find here cahe was all good here we signed the log and placed it back exactly where we found it. Thank you for placing a cache here it was so worth stopping by to get gets a favorite from us for bringing us to this lovely location TFTC
Nice spot for a quuck stop, gets a fav for the view! Mission accomplished, this one is a wrap. Thanks for the cache from Blenheim Bear!

Bloody raining today. Log full. I put a new piece of waterproof paper in. Tftc and the views.
Batteries went flat in GPS but from hints we deduced it would be where it was. Thanks CO for the cache
this was a pleasant stop on the way from the coast to Hamilton. even on a cloudy day it's a great view here.
Great location! We enjoyed a lovely view of the lake and watched, with envy, a skier behind a boat. Having torn my hamstring just a few of months ago while waterskiing, I watched with considerable envy. Thanks for bringing us here, and for the funGenCuster!
A brief break on the road from Rotorua to Hamilton. Sat down for a while and found quickly. Tftc MattyH from Tassie
Beautiful view here, no muggles around, thanks for bringing me to this beautiful spot.
A quick find after initially expecting to walk into the bush for this one. If other hunters do they should be aware that the cliff here is vertical ending in water. SL. The cache and log are both in good condition. Thanks to GenCuster for the cache
I was on my way home and this was a nice lunch stop, nice quick find watching people play on the water below. TFTC
Lovely spot to take a break. The cache was soon in hand, log signed and replaced as found.
