We joined the crowd of disappointed cachers who couldn't find this one. We may be blind but would appreciate the owner confirming that the cache is either there or gone.
Interestingly my mother-in-law comes up here everyday to feed the cats and is an area we know well.

04-Nov-07
We are certain it's not there from the description and the position of GZ as per the GPSr.

Gone?

No problems with muggles today, only fools, horses and frustrated cachers would be out and about in weather like this. Had plenty of time to search in all the obvious places but no luck, maybe our eyes were misted over like the Home Town Views. We will be back on a nicer day to enjoy the views and another chance to search.

17-Sep-07
We also couldn't find it, then muggles arrived so gave up the search.

18-Aug-07
dont know if its gone or we are just blind, should have been an easy find, fairly sure we knew where it should have been but no luck, interesed to hear if its been moved

22-Apr-07
An easy find, no kittens seen.

12-Apr-07
Found easily after trying to admire the view (was a bit too cloudy and wet to get the full appreciataion...)

Thanks!

Had been down the mountains for the morning with colleges from Vanuatu, and what better way to fill the day on the way home than a few caches (8th) ... Thanks, yet another spot i'd normaly have driven past.

Lots of kittens here. My Buzz searched while Mrs photographed the cats. Then when he couldnt find it she came over and had it in seconds! TNLN

Out and about turning the Waitangi Day holiday into a super long weekend, the Turtle embarks on a ‘cachexpedition’ in the Central North. Accompanied of course by team cacher Sweet P.

TFTC TNLNSL

Noted the cats too. Think that we should alert SPCA. If left here I suspect that they will turn feral and become a nuisance to native wildlife in the area.

The Turtle strikes again!

Nice views. Noticed a group of 5 (there may be more) cats living up there, looks like someone is feeding them as there are empty bowls and an ice cream container of water where they were.

Signed log. Many thanks.

14-Jan-07
A clever little cache. Enjoyed the view. Thanks.

10-Jan-07
Parked close-by in rain. Ammie spotted cache from car. Placed under xxxxx in what must be usual hidding place. Uppie

06-Jan-07
Arrive just as two groups of people were leaving. Good views.

Cheers

As we approached, I said "Its up there where the campervan is". We arrived "up there" and there were several campervans. Managed to look awfully nonchalant while retrieving the cache. Nice one, and what wonderful views for my 700th cache. Thanks and cheers from Grandalf(700)

Easy find in the pouring rain, thanks guys!

Found on 11/11/06 - Armistice day. Arrived at 1058 so we had a look at the view, and observed 2 minutes at 1100 - the hour at which The Great War of 1914-18 officially ended. A great place for such an occassion.

Easy find, TNLN.

Thanks.

GPS kept leading to both green lidded rubbish bins but it was by rolling around upside down in the grass that the prey was spotted. The green cache lid made it harder to distinguish. Was "Moneydork" here at the same time looking at a cats' bedroom? TNLN

Great spot.
Didn't check the cache type before attempting this one, so made some wrong assumptions at the start.

29-Sep-06
You cant actually see much of Wahi Village from the Wahi lookout. Is the cache owners hometown Turangi perhaps?

18-Sep-06
Great viewpoint, searched the round one first, but soon realised.

2nd attempt no muggles today. Absolutely stunning views. Mountains with snow on top!

30-Jul-06
Unfortunately, there were a few too many muggles, and we were surrounded by pitch black darkness, and we had really hungry tummies and excellent chinese food distracting us. Will have to come back another time, when there arent so many make-out muggles around!

Lucky last for the day. Nice views of rain squalls out on the lake and one patch of sun turning the grass to gold around Turangi. Many thanks

26-May-06
Found while on holiday from the San Diego, California. We traveled over 7000 miles for this one!

Great view from up here. Thanks for the cache.

17-May-06
1.45pm May 20th, know this spot well, great views from carpark, lake sparkling, sunny day, had to wait for some muggles to finish their lunch and take off before searching.

Clambered onto a manual bicycle to ride with TechnoKitten.. She said it is not far...!!! so off we go.
Legs were still aching after yesterdays 54km cycle!!! But off we go.. then there is a hill!!! Nanny gear had to be utilized... TK is a covert personal trainer!!!! mumble
Once we knew it was a micro we had no trouble... Shame really as I wanted to drop a TB here... Where are all the decent size caches around here.?!@##(*&@%@(!
Took a pic of TB's in our company and logged thru here...

Hee hee XenaCommander has not yet sussed TKs ability to finagle the truth Twisted in order to get him on a bike more regularly.. more fit and even MORE fabulous Cool. It is not far to the lookout... mostly flat... snigger...Wink Definitely hard work pedalling up the hill on our heavy old clunker bach bikes.
We loved the views and investigated the old wharf on the return journey.
Thanks for the excuse to go cycling on such a beautiful day

06-May-06
Hee hee finagled XenaCommander onto a bike AGAIN for a 24km fun ride after a wee 54km ride yesterday ... a PB for XC who will be more than ready for the Taupo cycle challenge later in the year.
Another micro in a spot that could handle a cache the size of a glory box. An easy find plus a few photos with travelbugs then away back to turangi for brunch at the bakery

23-Apr-06
Great views and well hidden.

23-Apr-06
Good view of river

What great views. Thought we were going to get a FTF but Butterfly Lady had nipped in ahead of us, and nearly a double whammy as it was Ted's 201st find! Have stopped here before and admired the views, today many muggles made devious actions necessary.

01-Apr-06
A double special cache this one - Not only was it a FTF, but also our 200th successful hunt. A very discreet hide in a very public place - well done!
And bonus - the view - for miles & miles out across the lake! Thanks indeed.
