This cache has survived two paint jobs on the gun but as it appears now to have disappeared, and my time for caching is limited I'm putting it up for adoption. If it's not claimed by anyone watching it, it will be archived. Shame. It's been there a very long time. DJ
I DNF. It has had a paint job recently so I think they might have thrown it away. But if a shame.
Finally, on something like our fifth attempt, with lots of clues and help, we found something that may just be the caches location. Unfortunately, it isn’t there. I give up...
Unfortunately I DNF this one. Maybe they moved it? I tried multiple times but nothing.
We have tried looking for this before but on return today the gun has been removed. Not sure you are aware of this. Nano probably with the gun. Judt 2 low metal supports left that gun was attached to.
Jazz festival stop over...sneaky spot, eventually picked up by the muggle that was with me (thanks Mum!). TFTC
Found with nissan 65 . Away from work for a few days. Nice to get out doing something we love. Thanku to all to placed caches around the area. A great variety.
These sorts of objects always make for a tricky hide. Had a good look around as per the clue, but due to the sheer amount of hiding places, I just didn't spot this one. Perhaps some better guidance could be given so you can pinpoint the search area.
Such a gorgeous day! A few muggles about but with stealth it was found and replaced. TFTC
After returning from travel a week ago I find my feet still itchy, so here I am driving, caching 3 hours or so from home. Actually a daytime drive turned into a weekend trip.
What a beautiful area. It's well worth driving up to the hills for photos.
Plenty of pelicans today and unlike a lot of cannons I've come across I found this one.
The cache was found but log book needs replacing desperately. Not even room to put another sheet in. Squeezed in my signature but needs maintenance.

Had the family swarming over this one, the more eyes the better. Ironically found a very similar cache on a very similar item at Woomera. Thanks for the cache.
Found the little blighter. No muggles around so a quick grab and sign then returned to hide.
Found today whilst in Merimbula for a long weekend break.
Didn't see any Pelicans to take potshots at but did find the cache.

On a family holiday here in Merimbula. A lot easier than most gun caches. Geohubby found it and retrieved like a pro. Tftc!!!
Loved this little cache, and Geokid age 7 also loved the "big cannon"! TFTC in such a stunning location. Lest we forget.
found with eighthknox an Whytknight we had come to merimbula for the day and stopped nearby for some lunch TFTC
We found this ye olde cache today on a day trip to merimbula and pambula. The hint made this a relatively easy find. tftc
A great spot to stop for lunch with the family and friends on a day trip into town.

Great cache. Found it in 30mins with 4 friends. May need to bring paper and pencil. TFTC
It took us a while be we were looking on the wrong side. It was only when the geohusband told us where the aim side was we found it super quickly.
Don’t think I’ve explored a cannon in such detail before. Thanks for the history and TFTC.
Cheers!

Found it after a bit of looking! Was not as small as I thought it'd be! Thanks for the cache!
We had a quick look here some years ago but there were too many muggles and we had to retreat. Not many people around today and after a bit off a search we managed to dislocate a wrist and find it. Great hide - thanks.
We are not too sure when we were last in Merimbula and failed to find the cache here. There were very few people wandering about in the wind today so we were able to have a good look. Very cunningly hidden - we enjoyed finding it. Thanks.
#3386 10 of 24 today.
Day 2 of our trip out to the coast. CBRChic, myself joined Boeing737 and JetFusalage for some caching around the Bega/Merimbula area. After grabbing a few around our base at Kalaru, we headed down to Tura Beach, Merimbula and Pambula. Conditions were pretty breezy today but a much cooler 27C max made for very pleasant caching. Some amazing coastal views, although no whales etc were spotted.
Three of us took a while to locate this one. Glad to say it was me that eventually put a hand on it.

Found while caching with my Mum, CBRCHIC and strange trousers. ST found this one. Much bigger than expected!
Mr Geo had fun finding this one. Talk about big boys toys. Looks like extra paper has been added. Kutgw
TFTC a few muggles around. Clue helped. On a cruise so try to find one in each port.
Last day of our two weeks on the Sapphire Coast, and decided to get some Geo's in - great find!
I was driving through Merimbula and had made a stop. I have seen this memorial before on a previous visit so decided to have another look. There are always lots of pelicans around to have a potshot at, but I didn't do that today! The log probably needs replacing in this cache, as it is full. TFTH
Found with the help of Mr Springsteen. Been coming here for years, nice to grab a cache.
Found and logged today with Benura. A tricky find and lots of spiders about but we made it. TFTC.
We were just about to give up when I spied something from the right angle. Yippee. TFTC
This type of hide sometimes eludes me and it did take us a while but got there eventually. TFTC djcache
The geo kids were great camo for us, they played on the gun while we searched. Hard to believe it was geo junior 3 who found this cache while taking potshots at the pelicans . TFTC
