This has been a cache Ive wanted to get for a while but circumstances have prevented me. Today I made the effort to come on this road again.!I also used to drive on this part of the old highway a fair bit for work and it was always a dangerous spot so its great the new bypass was built! Saw the little geo trail and made a quick find!! TFTC!!
Out in the PeuGEOt on my own today as both Mrs Cogs and little littlecogs are both crook. Want to have 500 chalked up before my knee replacement net month. TFTC
A few spare days to fill before Christmas so I made the decision to hit the road and go on a road trip from Adelaide to Ballarat. The main purpose of the trip is to tackle the Ballarat Geo Tour before they get archived in February 2024. Day one was hand long drive from Adelaide to Ballarat. Of course I stop off several times to stretch my legs and to grab some caches along the way. I targeted this cache due to its age. Great bridge Im glad geocaching brought me here. Thanks for the cache Team Crackers.# # #13676 # #
Quick, easy drive by here. We didn't notice a travel bug in the cache, but may have missed it.

Another quick drive-by cache with naughtybunny on our road trip to the Grampians. This one was found quite quickly as the clue helped us to know where to look. What a great bridge but gee I could see how this would have cased issues with big trucks coming around the bend and fitting though here! TNLN. Cheers.
A great story - this would have been a busier place before the new route. Looks like a favourite spot for Saturday night burnouts! Thanks for bringing us here
Truckies must of dreaded driving through here, between the walls.
Found in a nicely tucked away spot.
Thanks for revising this part of highway history.
Thx from JJHHXX. Find 38

Out on caching adventures with Wollaston.
Quite an exciting stop! Just as we drove under the bridge the train rattled across above us then discovered another sound, a hiss from a deflating tyre
Thanks to the CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain these hides and for showing us your very special part of the world
Log signed in first open spot in logbook with stamp

So this was my first cache hunt, I am the local postie and have never thought this type of thing would be out on my mail run. Imagine my surprise when I found that I drove close to this location every day
A quick stop on a stretch of the old highway I traveled along many a time as a child. Wow a very narrow bridge for truckies to navigate. Thanks for the placement. Dropped TB.

After a crazy year, it’s time to get away for a bit of R&R, and of course a cache or two.
Day two. With rain on the horizon, today I opted to explore in Sebastian.
Today’s adventure took me down this lovely old road, to find this lovely old cache. I can’t even begin to imagine driving a truck through here!
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, Team Crackers

TFTC. Continuing our camping stopover in Ararat, today we ventured out towards Stawell. We started the day with a quick easy find. At Petticoat Gully, just outside Ararat we had three dnfs in a row. The day got better. 16 caches and 3dnfs. Not a bad haul for the day. We saw some interesting sights and places we would not visit without caching.
Pulled over off the road. As I stepped out of the vehicle , I spotted a hoon coming toward us on the wrong side of the road. Damn idiot!!! Lucky we had pulled over. Found the cache quite easily and continued carefully on our way.

Covid-19 restrictions are now lifted and Geocaching is allowed so it is back on line.
Due to the new Covid 19 restrictions Geo Caching is not a reason to be out so we are disabling our caches untill safe to enable again.

Nice quick find. Very scary to imagine two big trucks squeezing under the bridge at speed! TFTC
Looked for about an hour and couldn’t find it. Will be coming back to this one. Any hints would be great.
Just another brick in the wall
Great song by Pink Floyd.
Cache easily found with Big_j21 and Miah06. Cheers.

Good to read that the government did something about this dangerous section of road before people died.

Returning home to Victoria from this years annual family reunion in Middleton SA we stopped off here for a leg stretch and took the opportunity to grab the cache

The caching day with ilook4geo was a successful one, with this one being one of the finds. We read the hint and went straight to the correct place to find the container. It was exactly where it was indicated as being. We did the signing duties quickly as it was very cold, blowing a gale and raining as well. All was replaced as found and we hurried back to the car for some warmth. Many thanks go to Team Crackers for this cache placement.
Came along here with goingplaces2 and had no trouble finding this cache. Container was retrieved, log was signed, all was put back again. Off we go again on a wet, windy and cold day. TFTC.
Great easy moonlight caching on this major deserted backroad... a beauty.
Can appreciate the bridge crossing here.

Found It.....Found this one while on our 20th wedding anniversary holiday to see the Painted Silos. After pulling up a quick search soon uncovered the cache and with the log signed we continued our journey northward. Thanks Team Crackers for the cache
Headed west for a short break and decided to take the country roads rather than the hwy.
Day two of my break had me leaving Lexton and heading south west today.
Back on the black top after the trails around Beaufort I was making my way west.
I’m glad the bypass was built as I would not have been to keen to look for this one here if all of the cars and trucks were still barrelling through here.
A great old bridge that soon gave up it secrets.
Thanks Team Crackers TFTC

Nice little cache. Hadn't been out this way since they changed the road. SL TFTC Team Crackers!
Pulled in to collect a clue for a multi so decided to make the quick find near the waypoint.
Today I was going from Ballarat to Adelaide, with 2 events being hosted I was restricted to the time I spent in Ballarat for the morning so I went around picking up multis and puzzles with some very enjoyable locations visited. I collected a few along the way to the 2nd event of the day in coonalpyn and then finished off with half a new series in Murray Bridge. A total of just over 50 finds for the day and 500km driving.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 5000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.

Out and about on a road trip to Adelaide, I was particularly targeting Wherigo and letterbox caches but there are a lot of other interesting caches to be found, this being one of them.
I had turned off the highway to collect some information for another cache that I’m working on and found that I was soon passing this one so I stopped for a look and the cache was quickly found.
**Thanks to Team Crackers for placing this cache.**
