Well, not sure where to start here. The location was obvious so we looked around GZ. There was quite a bit of junk mail that I rustled through but found nothing in particular. I checked the one other place that I thought was viable but my wrist didn't co-operate. With no luck anywhere else, OHC decided to have a better look. Better her than me as the rather substantial cache guardian came out to greet her. Once she was recomposed (that being after the spider dance was complete PLUS the little after shocks) she worked out how to grab the cache and give it concussion, just in case it had any attachments. Once it was signed, there was the task of getting back. Lets just say that she has way more guts than me. My arachnophobia was somewhat overpowering. Huge thanks to OHC for making the logging of this cache possible.
Time to get away for the weekend, so a weekend trip to Bendigo (& St Arnaud) was organised with Geoturtle37. Holy guacamole, Batman! What an adventure this 1/1 turned into!Upon arrival we had a pretty good idea which one to be looking at. Was also the one with the most dried up junk mail inside. After extracting most of said papers, the last piece was extracted only to reveal a palm-sized cache guardian underneath. I jumped back about 10 feet! Now what do we do? I re-approached cautiously, and worked out where the cache would be. But where has our 8-legged friend gone? No way was I going to put my hand back in there!Since we had attended a cito this morning, we still had our grabber tool on board, so that was our first attempt. But the claw wouldn't fit in the tight spot.Next, an extendable tool was taken out of my tott-kit. I extended it as far as it would go, making the bends that would be required. I inserted and felt the "click" as it adhered to the cache. Then I pulled and threw everything on the ground, in case the guardian was also clinging on. He/she wasn't.Signing duties done. But how to put back in place? Carefully, that's how. Oh, I also put on my cito gardening gloves so no skin contact was going to happen. Now time to breathe, and get that heart rate back down. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, micaparamedic ... I think!~~
Found with Bogonghazy and Geo dog. Working towards my streak. Thanks for placing the geocache
Found with LittleBoss2 and Geo the puppy as LB2 continues her streak. Thanks for placing The Morris, Gary still looks great. Nice welding too
Well it is that time again for Posums and GemmaSistema to catch up for another fun filled day of caching, laughs, to much walking and to also lets see on where the Geowagon can get us into where maybe it shouldnt go.We met up in Castlemaine and then I became the driver and Gemma the navigator to what we were going to find today. And today was another tour of Bendigo which is a place I really enjoy coming up to.In total 40 caches were found today in a very wide area of Bendigo and the suburbs and a few different types as well. This was one of those caches where we asked each other, should we or shouldnt we ,I said have a look its gotta be the cache.Gemma had a poke around and soon had the cache in hand.It looks a bit like Gary as well. Thanks The Morris and micaparamedic TFTC.
Found with Posums on a Bendigo caching run. I wanted this to get a fav just for the description! Ha ha. Great hide to boot! Fav added! Thanks for the fun and adventure
Grabbing another cache close by we saw this one and thought we have to stop on our way home

Arfter our usual Monday night catch up, K9team and I headed out to pick up a couple of caches to end the night. Seeing this cache along the way hand having it on the list for some time we stopped by and made a quick find.
Thanks for the cache.

My 1st time caching in this area & on a bit of a mystery tour. Despite making an offline list, nothing is coming in very quickly!! I pulled up here thinking I must've missed a hidden puzzle within the no puzzle. Why else keep the ?? But came for a look anyway, cause I'm a special kind of special. 1st thoughts were Ohhhhh nooooooo. You're kidding me. I read the information again, looked around & spotted my target straight away. A thorough search of all sorts of junk ensued & then I spotted it. Loved this! We used to have one very similar at Cobaw. Fav point from me. Many thanks
I must have been exhausted. [xx(]
Clearly Libra was in retrigrade.
The change in my left pocket, and pen in my right was causing a vacuum in the spacetime continuum which.......
Cache blindness is real.
This time, with catnap777 beside me, we read the signs right, walked straight to GZ and found a clean and dry cache exactly where a D1/T1 cache should be.
Now we both have our names in the logbook of this cheeky cache that definately was there the last time I was.
I dunno. Feelin a bit stupid for missing it last time, but also very excited and relieved to be rid of this very annoying DNF.
TFTC Gary and thanks for looking after it micaparamedic.

A family caching day in Bendigo with dalerious and Cybergran V and the weather could not have been better. We had a very successful day, on the whole signing logs in Mystery caches that we had in our solved list, just waiting for the right slot in the calendar that wasn't already filled with some other wild adventure, which is often the case for dalerious and I .
If you are a timid cacher, don't even bother trying to look for this one. If you are like me, you won't have an issue with it.
Gary was too important for so many reasons that nothing was going to stop me from giving it a go. There was not a soul around when we pulled up this morning. My partner tells me that when he attempted the elusive Gary the first time, the road was like Bourke Street. Well, that's the excuse he gave for not finding it the first dozen times! (A slight exaggeration there). No such concerns today; it was plain sailing and the log was signed.
Thank you micaparamedic and The Morris for the thrill.

On the verge of giving up, on a difficulty of one too. Whowouldofthunkit? Then we we saw a clue which proved correct. Thank you for the hide. A very entertaining and a lil bit spooky one given where we were and where we had to look
On the road again, this time heading to the Greater Bendigo National Park for a weekend of Christmas festivities. After two hours of driving I stopped in to grab this puzzle, on the outskirts of the park, to fill my grid.
I paced up and down in search of the cache looking in and around and under a great many things. Lots of these look disused and I was trying to identify the clue that would narrow this down. I looked at something for the third time and realised I had incorrectly interpreted it the first two times. Of course this is the one.
I soon had the cache in hand and off to camp I went. Fortunately no buses came by while I was stopped looking.
Thanks micaparamedic for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Plagued by locals today but was finally able to make a quick search and sign the log. I always like the inventive hides so a fav from me.
In the area today with Glanville Girls cleaning up a few solved mystery's and some specific dates we found ourselves near this one. I was a bit apprehensive of where I should be looking until I had the ahha moment )) Thanks for the cache guys. nice work
Heading to get some mineral water today, and of course caching along the way.
Almost gave up on this one when I spotted something that switched on that light bulb, Cache was soon in hand. Retrieval created a slight challenge and we were about to go for a tool when it finally budged from its hidey spot.
I guess this is a good one for micaparamedic to keep.

Surely this muggle has seen lots of strange activity before now...

Took us a minute, then we cottoned on.
We cleared out the papers too.
Came up to Bendigo today for some better weather!

No PAF required for us. Once you read the cache page? It’s pretty obvious where it’ll be. A quick feel and the cache was found. Stamps added to the log book. FP added.

Day 9 of our epic trek to the St Arnaud Mega via Geelong and return via wherever the caches are.
The constant was my travel companion for the entire trip, - Anymules but we were joined by other cachers in our travels.
With the Mega event finished we continued caching around Bendigo where we were based for a few days. The GPS died yesterday so let's try some phone caching.
What a cool hide. It was only when a familiar name caught our attention that we knew it was okay to look harder. Then it was a straightforward find.
Thanks for the cache.

Found as part of our trip to the St Arnaud Mega event with e.gregory1 and gridge98. We travelled a long and circuitous route via Bordertown, Nhil and Warracknabeal to find caches in 5 additional Victorian LGAs that I had yet to visit (namely Buloke, Loddon, [Greater Bendigo - I’d previously visited], Mt Alexander, Hepburn and Central Goldfields). Thanks for the cache The Morris!
Found during a trip to St Arnaud to attend the Mega event.
FeatherWaite, gridge98 and I left Adelaide on the Thursday, taking a circuitous, but scenic route to St Arnaud to pick up a few caches in some other Victorian LGAs. We met up with Freddo and Davidwazza at the event that evening and teamed up to complete a couple more caches that night together before camping out of town.
Over the next three days we cached very solidly in and around St Arnaud, finding a diverse range of Traditional, Multi, Unknown, Virtual, Letterbox, Wherigo and Earthcaches as well as attending all the events associated with the Mega. We also managed to complete all the Lab caches over the weekend. Logbooks were signed D.E.F.F.98 (Davidwazza, e.gregory1, FeatherWaite, Freddo and gridge98).
On the Sunday afternoon, after the final GIFF event, FeatherWaite and I began making our way back to Adelaide, picking up a couple of caches before camping in the Little Desert NP. The following day we continued towards home with a side visit to Mount Rescue to pick up a few caches along the tracks there.
Thanks to all the cache owners for placing and maintaining the caches. They included a huge variety of containers, hides and puzzles, many of which were very clever and/or amusing and had obviously taken considerable time and effort to construct. Thanks also to all those who organised the Mega and the associated events. I’ll be looking forward to the Mega at Millicent in South Australia next Easter!

After having a look at this puzzle at home, it made sense to then find it, arrived at GZ and was really unsure if we should be doing this or not, after PAF we soon found the cache.
What a big trip this was! I headed over to St Arnaud for the 2019 Victorian mega with e.gregory1, Davidwazza, Featherwaite and Freddo for the long weekend.
The weekend was filled with a lot of finds ranging in puzzles, a few events and some very well constructed hides around the area.
Day 1: I headed over with e.gregory1 and featherwaite, with the aim to collect some unfound LGAs for the guys, with only a 500km drive to the mega from home we added an extra 450km to the trip by going over to Bendigo and further south exploring some regional towns, overall we added an extra 6 LGAs with only 18 finds for the day. Was great to see some of the interesting little towns and what they had to offer for future visits.
Day 2: As a group we hit the trails in St Arnaud as a group signing the logbooks as DEFF98 (Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Freddo, featherwaite and gridge98) to save a lot of room in the logbook. We started off with the geoart Stars and thought it would take most of the day, as we finished it in 2.5 hours we were a bit surprised so hit the well constructed caches in the south of the town in the bush throwing a CITO in the mix. All the caches were amazing and something you don’t see anywhere else. Adding in 15 FTFs along the way with: everlasting, crank1 and Pwola. The evening settled in and we headed into town for a buffet dinner and a catch up with some familiar faces.
Day 3:
After attending the GV2020 event for the morning we set off to hit the last of the trails left in town of the metal containers, followed by the challenges for the mega as well as quite a few trads around the back roads. We ended the day by having a go at the lab caches at the mega then off to the CITO. I don't think I have ever seen so mant people at a tip before. Topped off the day with an evening event.
Day 4: By today the town was almost cleaned out and only a few caches to find, so we did the last few caches within a rough 15km radius driving around finding the odd cache here and there. The GIFF was finished off the mega so we decided to head to Horsham for the evening.
Day 5: After leaving our camp site for the morning, we cached for the morning around Horsham collecting a few grads and a well earned swim. Then made the long drive back home to Adelaide.
Thanks to all the COs for their cache placements and the Geocaching Victoria crew for organising a fantastic weekend away.

Caching our way to Notley Campgrounds in Whipstick for an overnight stay in the landcruiser we unfortunately found 'Gary' had been broken into by some imbeciles who have damaged the door because they couldn't work out the lock code [:(!]

I found Gary but there appeared to be something wrong with my technique as things were not working. Eventually, after quite a few tries, I pulled harder down and the lock opened. Yay! I signed the log and replaced. Thanks The Morris.
Our yearly tradition continues! Ever since my caching buddy CJ-Curry moved to New Zealand, we meet up once a year in Aus around Christmas time and blitz a whole bunch of caches. This is a super cute little cache! Love it. CJ got to work cracking it while I just stood there and looked pretty (pretty useless), I was a bit tired by this stage. TFTC
In what's fast become a tradition for SanguineDragonflye and I, we decided to go on a hunt around the Bendigo National Park area today. Our last for today, we picked it up on our way back home. It took a few minutes to crack, partially as I wasn't totally sure about one of the instructions. However, I got it in the end. The cache is a very snug fit in its exoskeleton - certainly don't want it any bigger. Cheers!
Arghhh, harder than it appears. Read clue, follow clue. Nope. Try again (repeat, 6 times, same result) walk back to car, reread, try again. Another 8, still no luck. Walk away as car comes past.
Start car, no have to try again. Walk back, try, opens!
Obviously holding mouth in wrong way!
Great cache, thanks The Morris

Find No. 1859. Found at 4.00pm.
Went for a drive in the geoute over to Myers Flat area to grab a few caches. Took geodog Penny with us and FUF009 came along for the day as well.
Mrs Tyred n Cranky had the job here to work out the code and grab the cache while Mr Tyred n Cranky took Penny for a run up the road. After a couple of tries she managed to get inside to be able to sign the log. Then it was up the road to walk with Penny. (She had the last couple of finds sitting in the ute as they were on the busy road and we wouldn't let her out, which she didn't like - so now she is happy as she is having a run.)

*Out and about with The Empire grabbing a few caches after the event*...
Nice to stop every now and then to stretch the ol' legs along the way... Opened the cache container and removed some of the mail as well. A pity the someone has tried to bend the backdoor open. Straightened it as best I could.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment The Morris. Appreciate your efforts.
Stamped log and replaced...

What a great hide! Took a couple of tries but perseverance prevailed. Left "Beware the hex" trackable as it has been with me long enough. tftc!
Found on a nice night out with nieces just a little trick with the lock but got it open after a couple of tries
I had noted this cache as one that had to be done as a field puzzle and had marked it with corrected co-ords, so when we were driving past, I was happy to make the stop. I implemented the given instructions and whilst I was signing the log, the CO preformed a bit of cache maintenance. I picked this cache up at 6:17pm.
Heading up to Bendigo to collect some nominated caches, I met up with half of The Morris and we took a tour around the town collecting caches on my list and other caches my host thought I'd like.
Thanks for the cache The Morris.

On our way home to Bendigo after finding a few caches in Lockington and the multi in Raywood, I saw that our route would take us right past this one so I thought I'd give it another try. Leaving my 2 children in the car with the windows down and motor running, I wasn't too hopeful after a couple of failed attempts with the lock, but this time it worked for me first time. Maybe my turning was smoother this time, but I think the real reason was that on earlier attempts I was almost there but didn't pull the lock down far enough to actually open it! Regardless of the reason I was able to sign the log and get back to the car in quick time. Apart from the cache, the mailbox also had some genuine (junk?) mail in it. Anyway, thanks for this cache The Morris!
Well, I found it but couldn't open it! This was my second visit here. Both times I tried to follow the instructions very carefully - to the letter! - but success has so far eluded me. How embarrassing! There must be something very simple that I'm missing, but I won't give up. Thanks for the challenge!
Billywillysillydilly introduced me to this awesome puzzle cache this morning. My first! It is so clever. Had it open fairly quickly and signed. I love this idea. Thank you for the cache The Morris. Definitely a favourite point from me

What a fantastic little puzzle. We pulled up to GZ and thought ok which one? After a short inspection it was clear which one we should be focussing our attention on. I tried once and nothing. So, the ever patient ST37E stepped in and was able to unlock the prize. Thanks for the hide The Morris. Caching in the area with ST37E.
We have been trying to work on some puzzles around town. Its nice to start turning the blue icons into smileys! Had a little giggle at this one. TFTC

Loved this find - took us a while to work it out bahahaha super cool lock and idea. A few cars went by so we were careful. Left Delta Airlines trackable.
Happy caching thanks!!!

Such a brilliant cache; makes up for all those annoying nanos. I was appreciative of the fine details regarding the combination as it was a bit of a wrestle. Thanks The Morris.

We soon had the correct numbers and the lock was opened to find the cache . We liked this one so we are giving it a favourite
Go Gary Go....goooooo Gary.
Would make a good TV commercial wouldn't it?
As I pulled up I wasn't sure what I was in for, however is was soon apparent.
I stood there, twisting and twirling in the correct sequence and without too much hassle I was in....sort of.
Looks like someone had twisted up the hasp trying to get into Gary at some stage and I couldn't slip it off.
Back to the trusty ute and with a minor little bit of metal work all is well again. Access is easy (one unlocked of course).
With a signature in the log it was off I went into the sunset.......

After a couple attempts, we gained access to the cache.
Signed the log, but as we used the last space, we added a new one.

Being on holidays what a better way to spent a day than planning a caching day and to head north of Bendigo.
This ended up being a day of 42 finds, way over what I expected and almost 400ks travelled (a lot of back tracking and some getting lost in the bush, But the GPSr did say there was a road there!)
After reading the cache page and a few logs I though I was going to have some fun with this one. I was getting ready for some frustration but I think the caching gods were smiling down on me, I followed the described turns the lock popped on it own. I managed to get the cache, sign it, make a quick swap (I always take a motorbike if one is on offer) and get it back in just as a local muggle was coming down the road to check if the postie had been.

Well I found it. Just for the life of me couldn't get the damned lock to open. What to do? Well get Geoffrey to do it of course. School kids are good at this Nice full cache and fun to do. TFTC
This was great, wonderful concept, bit tricky as it was very stiff, Muggle Hubby to the rescue once again, a bit of CRC would not go astray here. Definitely gets a favourite point from me
Enjoy caching around Bendigo history country.
This one takes me awhile to retrieve the cache.
Finally got log it and rehide
Fav for me

I own a cache nearby but still hadn't found this one, stopped today on way to do some cache maintanence with Nadsalator and Kemo97, a great cache! TFTC loved the puzzle idea
Found this one along with a few others in the area with DoorMatt. Very cleverly hidden, well done!
Found a few caches in the area with my girlfriend. Had no problem with the lock and got it open on the first try. Thanks for the cache.
Such a lovley sunny day we decided to have a cruise round the outer Bendigo area. After reading previous logs, we had brought the necessary information with us. Took a couple of minutes to unlock, but no disturbance by passing vehicles, so thank you The Morris, for adding another one to our day.
Great cache good fun one took us a little bit to figure it out took texta left toy game
Miss Mary and I made a slight detour to find this one,but once I saw it I knew we had a problem, on the 4th attempt the problem was solved, calmness won out, left traveling smiley. Thanks The Morris nice challenge.
Busy driving and talking to my geo-navigator Aveen, I suddenly spotted something..
"That looks awesome! It would make a good spot for a cache.." I said
"..um" said Aveen looking at his phone,
"That IS where the next cache is!"
HAHAHAHA
Great cache in a great spot!
Thanks The Morris

Came out here with some trepidation not knowing what to expect. Laughed when I arrived as I had been thinking of doing the same thing back here at home.
Found the spot but being me it didn't work. Good old faithful Tag-along had nimble fingers ( or soemthing else) and the log was signed with smiles on our faces.
It has to have a favourite.

Lovely day for a drive so headed out past Woodvale.
Great clues given.
Only took a minute to locate and unlock the cache. I allowed hubby to find this one...lol
Took smiley button, left Elvis horror earings.
Thanks

# 356 - got it first time! We're still wondering what the problem is for others! We love creative caches, this one was definitely a bit different! A favourite from us, thanks The Morris!
Arrived here with suscoe and attempted to work out how to access the outer container. Now many cachers are blaming the lock but I think they should just do as the CN tells you and all will be revealed. Our 16th mystery cache for the trip, so with log signed it was on to the next.
At least with this cache you will always remember it because it is different. Well done to the Morris. Another favorite point from me.

Suscoe and Bushfire made the journey to see Gary this afternoon.
Arrive at GZ to find the chap on question and then to apply the magic.
A couple of false starts then discussion about another idea then Bushfire tried and all was revealed.
Cache was signed and replaced.
A big thank you to The Morris for this very interesting cache.
The sun is shining at last!

This puzzle cache almost turned out to be really cool, but it was let down by the lock It really did not want to cooperate!
Found this one around 4.30pm today with Billy Willy Silly Dilly. Despite all our efforts to open the lock, we had no luck so with some broad minded thinking came up with a way to extract cache from it's hiding place with no damage to it's surrounds. SL TNLN & replaced cache.
dick-tracy and I had several goes to attempt the outside of the cache container with no success. I'm wondering whether the RSD is still correct. Like a good and sly geocachers, we applied some lateral thinking and thought outside the square. This allowed entry in an "illegal" type of way. We made our logs, checked out the many swaps, but did no swaps. Like good geocachers, we applied a rule of caching and removed all of the junk mail. No damage was done and TFTC.
Dear Gary,
You will this round. I found you, I could see you and poke u with a stick, but due to massive frustration (and without destroying your tough outer shell) I had to give up. You will not win round 2 though. I will be back when I have more time and patience.

Very clever and different this one. Who would know?
TNLN. Was not sure of the address??
I guess the 1 question is why? The code is not quite correct, but with a bit of persistance we managed it. It looks like it needs some major repairs. took the cotton reel doll, and will relocate her to somewhere more suitable for a lady....
Mr TiedyeSmileys had been here many times before when his sister (from the Easts) used to have one of these here. Soon found Gary, then had some trouble accessing it. Wasn't too sure what the starting point should have been as well as having sausage fingers. Finally managed it though. Gary has some advertising as well as a home shopping catalogue to read .
