24-Feb-12
I left home late on Friday with the intention of arriving at the start of Higgs Track sometime before midnight, but having a DNF at Mood Food and another at Campbell Town, I decided to try and find a cache close to where I was going to stop for the night. This was it. And apparently this is my 2500th GC.com find....
Arrived just before midnight and started looking. Found fairly quickly but the cache has water in it and the log nearly soaked through. Will need some maintenance done very soon otherwise the log will be pulp.

29-Oct-11

Summer Fun - although it was no longer Summer, it was a reasonably hot day, so thought the pool might be in use, Not at all.

Appropriately (pool wise) the cache was wet through.

Hint had us at the wrong spot totally, but found the cache eventually.

05-Mar-11
Dropped in for the cache bit cold for a swim.

Thnaks for the cache

As mentioned by others, theses facilities are a credit to the local community. After finding the cache we spent a few minutes with a local resident who looks after the gardens at the front. He was concerned that some geocachers were making it harder to maintin the gardens. PLEASE NOTE: you do not have to walk in the gardens (and trample the flowers) to retrieve the cache - the cache is located INSIDE the fence. TFTC

What a great community facility. Heartening to see these places still exist.

18-Sep-10
I nice hide in a great location. Bet the kids dont walk to the pool.

10-Jul-10
We didn't find it?

12-Mar-10
Found 10/3/10 by jefina while revisiting places of my childhood. There is an incredible story to the making of the location as it was entirely built by volunteers from the district with lots of fundraising and is still entirely maintained by this method and is a popular meeting place for locals. Country community working at its best. TFTC left frog

Found this while reliving past memories with jefina. A credit to the local community to provide the facilities for everyone to use.

This is a great place we try and visit atleast once each summer. Coords put us right at the old cut down macracarpa pine, we had a pretty good search for 10 minutes until the neighbour muggle came over to find out what we were up to, not too happy about us bieng in the garden that he volounteers his time to look after. After coming clean about what we were up to he told us about a GPSr he had found a while back then someone had come to claim a while later. If we were in the right place then I think this cache needs to be repositioned to somewhere a bit more sympathetic for the volounteers. eg. not near a garden.

25-Jul-09
No go for us looked high and low for this one and came up empty handed...

spent about 30 minutes looking but nothing to be found
thought we found where it might of been

maybe after the next find we will try again

08-Jul-09
As we are locals and use the pool, we thought this one would be easy to find, however we nearly gave up before one of group finally located it. Took clogs keyring and left beaded macrame keyring. TFTC. Please note: the park and bbq facilities and tennis court all fall under the 'entry by donation' banner, please support this great location by doing the right thing! Thanks

I love this little spot. How fantastic that it's kept up by local volunteers. Everything for a relaxing time...BBQ's, toilets (yes, open even and excellent too), seats, lush grass, not to mention the pool (which actually isn't too inviting at the moment)!!!! Thanks for a great cache in a top spot, Hingrock - glad you put a replacement there - certainly worthy of a cache. Left a donation in the donation box for the maintainers too!! First to sign in the new log/location. Thanks Hingrock. Logged TB in and out.

13-Sep-08
Quite easy to find. An interesting place. Left badge and pen, took pen. Thanks for the cache.

Very idyllic! out-daffodil pin, in-eraser and bubbles, and a donation in the bin to reward such great community spirit.Cool

3.20 pm A charming little spot that is being well used on such a warm summer's day! Snuva had gone for a swim at Zoidberg so decided not to have a splash (well, that and the fact she wasn't allowed in. . .), so we found the cache and were on our way. Beautiful territory to drive through as well!

09-Dec-06
Found it on my caching day out. Good hide too. We can only hope that we will need the wellies soon.

In the area today so stopped by -littlest feral really enjoyed finding this one in its new hidey hole. Suspect you may occasionally need swimminggear to retrieve. Retrieved bandit geocoin. T lolly L pin

This cache was found by the Caveside Pool Recreation Committee while they were pulling down the item it was hidden in. They have no problem with it and they have re-hidden it in a different position as it's original place no longer exists. I have contacted the owner to let him know.

Nice hide in a 'cute' little spot. Bit breezy today for a swim, but I'll keep it in mind for the summer time . .TNLNSL thanks Hingrock

16-Aug-06
Easy find.Cache in good order.Work out this way quite a bit.Certainly don't expect a swimming pool out here.TNLNSL Cheers Hingrock.

Came up to look at the Meander Dam construction on the open day, checked out another cache nearby and it was too much not to dash across here and have a quick look for this one.

I looked for the cache while CraigRat tended to young RupertRat's every need, then CR had a look for the cache while RupertRat and I sat and giggled at his attempts to find it.

Very surprised to see a pool out here in the middle of nowhere! Looks like it would be a nice spot for the locals during the warmer months - that is if they have warmer months up here!!

Thanks Hingrock

13-Aug-06
An interesting place to put such a good pool...

The water in the bottom wasn't very inviting today.

Horus went and found it while I fed RupertRat, then I set out to find it. I got the run-around from the GPS but found it in the end!

Thanks Hingrock, it's a top part of the state out this way!

This was our first find, we only bought the GPS yesterday. Quite enjoyed it, I can see this is going to be the new bug. Wasn't surprised to find the pool, we only live a very few kilometers away. Didn't take anything, we forgot any trade items. Next one now. Changed username - found as dhilly but had to include family in name.

Wow. Caveside has it's own (well maintained) swimming pool. That's amazing, a little wierd even. Not as wierd as the couple that were sitting having a picnic by the pool though. I mean, sure the purple jumper he had around his neck was fantastic, but why are they riding away from there car separately, to nowhere? Is caveside the place to go for the middle-aged, colourblind, directionally challenged? Wink

Thanks Hingers.

Took - Penguin.
Left - Ambo and TB.

18-Jun-06
Freddie the freak tourist on his MTB certainly was the highlight of this cache. Aint nothing more purple than that jumper was! Freddie was a sign of things to come...Johnie the Logger was a wealth of information just up the road[:(!]

Why the hell there is a pool here is beyond me. After a small search the cache was located...almost by accident.

Cheers!

Found this one when I was Mrs Cheesy Pig. I have struck out on my own and am now logging the caches I found in my previous persona (but not the ones found only by Mr Cheesy Pig of course)! Let me know if you would like me to find it and log it again but under my new name.

NOT the FTF, but very close. What a strange place to find a swimming pool and what a great spot it would be on a hot summer’s day. (Found at about 3pm)

Found at 1310 so I don't know how much we beat you by Digitdick. Was surprised to get FTF on this one, our first for the trip. Was also surpised to find a public pool in this area. Took Fish Left Orange Sherbert.

Thanks Hingrock
