I did some maintenance on WP1 of this cache and thought I'd check on GZ. Well area is so overgrown now that its unfriendly. I have decide to archive this cache so someone else might be able to use the area.

This one has been active for 5 years now. Thanks to those that have found it.

24-Apr-11
Clue at WP1 has gotten wet and is now hard to read - took some photos, but it really needs some TLC.

01-Jan-11
Stopped in here today to check on this cache. Found WP1 and GZ all O.K

20-Dec-10
Tried this one last year with no luck and summer found us back at Windang. We had decoded this one previously and found WP1 but no luck at GZ. Well we went back to WP1 to confirm our calculations and it is no longer there. This one may need a full check considering how long it has been since the last find.

A devious multi that proved a lot of fun and a little frustrating. Took the opportunity to do this one while in town for the event and after a short walk out to the GZ, a little bush bashing and some work on hands and knees through the lantana the cache was in hand.

TNLN and thanks to The Rats for the cache.

This was was on my to-do list for a long time.
As we had an Xmas party to go to on the lake, Ding and I were early so we had some time to spare.
Hoojar had told me that it would be a tricky find, but was horrified when I walked straight to the cache. I don't think it was like this when he attempted it. Also there wasn't a pen, and I only had a sticker so I couldn't leave one behind.
Cheers for the adventure.

30-Sep-09
Found this one fairly easily despite the prickly lantana to climb through, staying near WP1 so waited for the muggles to clear and managed to find this vile WP without too much trouble, mind you, low tide probably helped here. Very nice spot indeed. TFTC.

Finally, finally I am able to cross this one of!!
After several attempts at WP1 I was excited that I could find it all by myself and thought the rest can't be that hard. How wrong could I be! Visited GZ at least 5 times and searched every inch(I thought) unsuccesfull. Even some lantana doesn't botter me but that didn't help. In the end I had to ask for help from the owner, knowing gz in my dreams this tip was more than sufficient and it only took me 3 minutes to find in the dark!! My GPS was only 5 meters off so that's ok.

great hide you should make another one

09-Apr-09
the GPS wasnt accurate enough for us so we didnt find it, we were looking in the bushes near the little ramp but its wasnt there its about 2metres out from where it actually is. Good Luck!!

30-Mar-09
Stopped by today to check on this cache. WP1 and GZ are both awaiting the next finder.

07-Mar-09
Came along here with The Hancock Clan, after touring via WP1, so at least we could say we went to the first WP. Mr H had dont the brain work on this & let Mr Us & Big Miss Us to the general area of GZ.
Being scratched & bitten the 2 Us crew decided a quick call for help was in order 7 after a few extra tips, the cache was soon in hand.
Great spot Rats, nasty hide !!!!
No swaps,
Cheers.

We started this one exactly one week before the 2008 Illawarra event as we just happened to be in the area that day with nothing much else to do!
Anyway, we didn't manage to work out the final co-ords that day and so returned briefly the following week but didn't find it. Well, today (the day of the 2009 Illawarra event & not the week before!) we were back in town, and this time joined by Usat31. After a fairly extensive hunt we resorted to a quick phone call for a bit of help and shortly after the cache was found! After such a long time since starting this one, the find was very rewarding!
Loved the location of this cache; it's a beautiful place with all the pelicans and incredibly crystal clear water.
TNLN, thanks,
The Hancock Clan

It seems that a trip to the South Coast is not (for us) complete unlessl we log at least one rats DNF. Well, this one is this trips DNF. We had a vile time at WP1. The low tide helped with the searching and the clear blue sky helped with great sat signal reception but we still came away without any clue as where to go to for the final location.

21-Feb-09
you are truely an evil man mr rat

well thank goodness that we had a muggle friend we could ring to solve the wp1 problem
on to wp 2
well that is a different story
we arrived just on dusk and quickly approached gz
we looked every where for that "out of place rock" which was no where to be seen or any other for that matter
was very quickly becoming dark thank goodness for the torches as it was only due to looking in some very dark places that the rock was spotted well it was our last chance of ever finding a rock
sent geokid two in to the depth of lantana geomum and geodad had no chance and cache was in hand
not an easy find co ords where out by about 10m but may have been due to poor weather

i would love to say thanks for the cache but we really had to work at this one

KateyBears along with Cranky Gekkos (4 adults,3 kids) looked and looked, but no luck, no muggles either.

08-Aug-08
Solved the puzzle, then looking forward to a nice beach walk, off I went. Located WP1 very quickly. Nice hide.

That Vial is VILE!!!!!!

I'll be back!!!!!! (nice!)

27-Jul-08
Up and down and around and peering through - no luck this time.

27-Jul-08
Mr Winglen spent some time decoding this cache so we thought it was worth a go. Unfortunately we couldn't find the WP - so many options. The tide was coming in & it was too cold for a scramble in the wet sand, so we thought we'd leave this for another visit.

28-May-08
Alas I did not find the waypoint, I did see an item referred to in the clue, but the only thing I found there was a crab. But a lovely area to visit.

25-May-08
Had a little help from my friends for this one - eventually an easy find. Thanks Rats - another top cache.

07-May-08
Wow this one was a challenge. Firstly a whole bus load of visitor arrive at wp1 to make searching even more dificult, then the final location was not easy to find, and i had to send the family back to the playground while i finished the search,. and it took ages.
great way to finish the day.

26-Mar-08
Droped off TB and picked up one.

23-Feb-08
Found the first part to this one but it made no sense as the picture didn't appear on the PDA cache page. We could work out most of it still but not enough so we've noted down what we needed & will return. Lovely place & we sat and our lunch by WP1 watching the pelicans.

30-Jan-08
The kids enjoyed this one as they swam at the beach while the geomums did the work! Word of advice - don't geocache in short skirts and Crocs! GZ was about 11m out according to my GPS - very scratched and in need of a swim after finding it. Left TB after taking her shoping in Melbourne - thought she was in need of a beach holiday! Took unite for diabetes tb.

23-Jan-08
With the final GZ in hand I headed out to grab the cache, should be easy says me. Not likely! The area has grown over quite extensively since the last person visited. Without a prior hint from the owner, there is no way I would have found this one! I did return to the car cut and torn but it was worth it.

Thanks to the Rats for a cunning cache.

Came today armed with a camera. Took the first WP and headed into The Gong to check into the motel!

26-Oct-07
Finally found time to have a crack at this one as I was in the area with time to kill. Proud to say I've located WP1 without too much trauma, but that's where I've stalled. You're an evil genieous, Mr Rat. WIP....

19-Oct-07
Finally got around to finishing this one. Did the decoding a couple of weeks ago and ventured out on a lovely evening.

Sat at WP1 for a while enjoying the peaceful surrounds before having to phone a friend to locate WP1 in office clothes. Grabbed it then on to GZ.

Found after a short search.

TFTC Rats, I really enjoyed the de-stress after work

12-Jul-07
where about to give up on wp1 after squelching about in the mud for over 30 minutes before we found the vial unfortuatley we forgot to bring our decodeing sheet. we managed to work it all out ecept for the mouse but after a guess we found ourselves at gz with the cache in hand
tftf
took glass cutter
left wall crawler and giant elastic band

16-Apr-07
Had some time on our hands so we thought we'd go caching and this one was close to home. Sadly we couldn't even locate WP1. Maybe next time.

25-Feb-07
All things considered, we found it pretty quickly. The first WP was quickly in hand (we had the place to ourselves) then we had several options for GZ. We discarded 2 straight away, and the third after a quick tour, then a longer (10 minute) hunt at the most likely spot and came up trumps. We had to be very sneaky, some teenagers were camping about 15m away from GZ, but they seemed more preoccupied with alcohol and each other (and it was only mid-morning), but we were sheltered by some bushes and trees so went ahead and made some quick swaps and a very quick entry in the log (may have forgotten to sign it though) as we were about to be carried away by some huge mosquitoes.

Left: United for Diabetes TB and a keyring
Took: Drink Bottle

Thanks Rats, for another great cache.

24-Feb-07
We found the WP1 without much trouble, but as to the GZ I don't know what we were doing wrong. We were running low on time and the rain clouds were rolling in we were keen to get a few more caches before we had to head home, so we pulled the pin.

We'll be back!

24-Feb-07
As we were in Wollongong for an event anyway, we thought we'd grab a handful of caches while we were here... this unfortunately was not one of them! Sad

As I was decoding the cache description (which I had to do manually as I couldn't copy'n paste from a picture), I did notice that there must be a variation as a few symbols were different from the version that I have? It wasn't a big problem with the written text but I wonder if maybe one of our number symbols is different also?

I will verify our findings with the cache owner by email. Thanks anyway Rats!

07-Feb-07
After a couple of goes found WP1 (was looking in the right spot all along)- good hide. I then had a fair idea where WP2 was for some time and finally got around to visiting. Hoojar's log helped as my GZ was too around 10m off so looking on a wider scale helped and then the find made without too much drama.

20-Jan-07
Out for some caching with Daaaaaaaave. We went back to WP1 to double check out previous WP2 calculation (spot on).

... and then we headed to WP2. Too much searching in vain had has calling for a clue. The clue obtained, we searched for a further half hour before I finally made the find.

FINALLY!

Our GZ was about 12m off, but the cache is well hidden!

Thanks Rats!

20-Jan-07
This was Hoojar and I's 2nd trip here. Nice location with a really sneaky hide!
Thanks!

18-Jan-07
This is the first cache I've done with my own gpsr, and I even found it. For a boxing day bargain from Supercheap it worked pretty well.
Took TB and a clip left a pig eggcup.

What a fun cache. I had some trouble with wp1 but after a quick email that let me know I was looking in the right place it was a quick find. I must have went past it a dozen times. I had two goes at gz. Yesterday was a bit windy, but what can you expect from windy Windang, so I had to give up and try again today. In the rain. Smile
It's definately well hidden.
Left a pig, flower, keyring and TB Squelch the Platypus.
Took the torch.
Thanks for a fun multi Rats.

03-Dec-06
After a few visits and a couple of hints I finally came back to nab the cache. Very sneaky hide Rats. TNLN.

Cheers

11-Oct-06
Daaave and I headed down South this afternoon. We found WP1 without too much difficulty, dodging the holidaying muggles. Not having brought the necessary equipment to go from WP1 to GZ, we phoned a friend and then headed on to greener pastures.

On our return north we headed to GZ, but our search returned no results. Will have to try again next time!

Cheers!

Once again the rats have managed to frustrate me, but I still just keep going back for more. I did the first WP on wed the 9th but ran out of time to find the stash, so myself and Cassie the wonder dog went back the next day and made the find. Love the spot I used to wade out into the lake and go prawning from here a few years ago. Anyway Love your work, you never fail to amaze.... or confuse.....

Took TB 514732

It's great to see the days are getting longer again which allows us to pursue after work activities like Geocaching. We went after this one with the intent of grabbing the Red Soldier TB but the last cacher is still to log the find. Oh well it was still a great hunt and the Rats have lived up to their reputation once again. Good work...

06-Aug-06
Thanks for another great cache Rat's
loved the puzzle, took me a while to do it but what beter way to spend the wet hours inside.
TN Left RED Soldier TB
Thanks

05-Aug-06
I really enjoyed this cache although I guess that is usually the case when it is a FTF.
From decoding the seemingly never ending cache notes to the container packed full with goodies it was all good.
Took TB's Left Key Ring
Thanks Rats

05-Aug-06
Was hoping for a FTF but were beaten to it, was also hoping for at least one of the TB's but i guess some of us like to be greedy. Other than that an excellent cache, we love a challenge. Can't wait for the next one Rats! TNLN
