This long standing cache has been muggled. A new cache has been placed to take its place, but in a location a bit further away.
Checked today and it is gone !!!!!!
Sad about the Bugs.
Need to find another safer location.

Looked for cache with Old Boots! Nearest feature to GZ had a poison bait trap at the base but no sign of any cache. The other features nearby were no good either.
A disappointing start to my caching adventures in NZ... I planned to leave a bunch of trackables here on arrival, but the cache was nowhere to be seen. Some of the area had been cordoned off, so I hope that it might still be in a spot where I didn't look - it might be worth checking.
There was men working around this area. Think it may have been muggled. Spent considerable time looking.
First of 3 found on this day with Roobi while waiting for a flight.
Impressed by the imbalance between arrivals and departures .. is this an indication of something deeper?

Found with APPO while waiting for a flight. Really liked the arrival/departure concept. TNLN. TFTC.

Decided that this was a night time mission so off we went after dinner. Noticed when driving past that most of the footpaths are still roped off for the construction but there's an easy track from the back which is totally secluded . Dropped off Shooting Star TB, All Black Supporter TB, Prince Charning TB, Buzzing Around TB and Mrs Mandrill Escapes TB. Outbound departure lounge is now full and awaiting flights to take all the TBs away to somewhere exotic . T4TC.
Dropped off TB and a Kiwi baby keyring. Did not take Kiwi Girl TB because it should travel out of NZ. No other TBs. TN because cache needed a top-up. Lots of construction around here. You cannot walk on sidewalk. TFTC

15:00 Uplifted Kiwi Girl to take to USA. A good discreet hide. Walked from AKL while awaiting flight to LAX. TFTC. SL.
After a delivery in South Auckland I headed to the airport to drop off Kiwi Girl TB who is heading for London. When Kiwifeet go geocaching we work as a family team. Tonight Dad was flying solo - I usually drive the car, not the GPS. Quick lesson before leaving. Arrived at the airport to realise I had forgotten my reading glasses (half blind without them!). By this time it was both dark and raining - no torch or raincoat. Eventually managed to locate GZ and crawled under a very wet tree. Found the cache more by feel than sight. Dropped off Kiwi Girl and left for home wet, miserable and TRIUMPHANT!!

I shall be visiting Auckland on the 16th of feb and I have a TB which wants to race to the USA, if you are going that way could you please let me know and I will drop it off for your collection- cheers from the UK
#391. Found GZ to be extremely close to construction site, and muggle note in log. Retrieved the travel bugs inside to move on, it's probably safer until the construction finishes. Unfortunately, neither S Double G nor "South Fork New River (FL)" Red Jeep Travel Bug were in the cache. Replaced cache in same location as found.

Found this one, it may have moved a couple of flax bushes north - muggle note indicates that it narrowly escaped earth works.
Nice to find a cache of this size in order to trade trackables. Thanks for the cache. Note, there is some construction in the area
No TBs on me but a cache while waiting for a charter flight out back to Niue (eventually). Fakaalofa atu.
Great location, loved the organisation of the cache. Left a travelbug that needs to get to China before making it to Canada, hope someone can help him

My last cache on NZ before catching plane home. I'm taking Hedgehog TB to Europe.
Nice and easy cache to find it.. Was very nice for me, cause we met there TB which I took 5 months ago from Aussie to NZ. Thanks, TNLN
The last of the trip to Auckland, it's been a interesting trip. And an ammo can cache to finish with - that's classy! TNLN Thanks.
#156. 2/14 for the day. Dropped some family back at the airport. Dodged the rain and hail for a fairly easy find.

I arrived from Bay of Islands to the airport, dropped my luggage at check-in & headed for 2 caches. Nice walking excercise before long flight to Niue. Hopefully the Jeep enjoys the island. Now I'm logging my finds from a free internet terminal on a expo stand in departure hall
a short walk over from welcome to Auckland.
on my 1st attempt i had no luck, and with time not being in abundance i decided to give up, until i remembered i had my laptop with me with all the cache notes on board. so fired it up, got all the info and dashed back armed with some better clues.... so after some searching i still couldn't find it, half convinced it was gone i decided to leave it and head off, and as has happened so many times before. when i give up the cache revealed it self to me. so signed the log, grabbed a couple of bugs and headed off
the given co-ords are a little off on this one. they are between 5 and 10 m out

Found during a two hour stop-over between flights in and out of Auckland. Also our last New Zealand cache for this trip. T: Ashleys Shoes TB, L: calling card, SL. Thanks to Tramper Ted for the cache.
Dropped off Joking Hedgehog Travel Bug.
Its owners have requested that it head back to Germany, so it'd be great if some kind traveller could take it with them to Europe.

Found what we think is the correct flax bush... searched for almost half an hour then gave up. First cache of the day and a big fail

Wow, lots of stuff in here. Was looking for the wrong Totara tree at first, then realised it was a Puhutukawa...LOL....took Penguin TB (V4GFVD), left an old NZ 20c coin.
With a handful of TBs and a spare hour or so it would have been rude not to have come for a visit, especialy after the effort the owner went to to visit one of mine (Legend!!)
Swapped TBs
Cheers and thanks for a strategic cache,

I nabbed this one before calling it a night. I entered from the recommended easterly entry though I could hear the wet mud squelching up through the grass around my boots the whole way to the cache. I have dropped off some Aussie Temporary Tattoos
and took the friendly Kiwi toy. Thanks for the cache.

Flying home after 24 hours in Auckland for the Duran Duran concert. We checked in our bags and then I took a walk to discover this cache and 'Welcome to Auckland'. It was interesting finding the cache whilst workman were busy over the back fence! TFTC. TNLNSL.
Dropped off three travel bugs in the dark - the cache was fairly easy to find, and is a nice size for TBs arriving into or departing from New Zealand.
Fortunately we weren't spotted by airport security. It would have been difficult to explain why we were messing about with a hidden ammo box in an airport!

Hey Tramper Ted, gr8 cache! Good location and a super spot to watch people in a hurry to get somewhere else. I'll definitely be back. TNLN
I sought this cache out so as to send a Old Money TB that is in a race back to Cambridge in the UK. Can only hope someone heading that way will stop in and grab it for the journey!
The hint about the trees was super helpful in nailing it and the parking suggestion was helpful too. Thanks much. Will stop in as possible when I'm flying.

Out and about on Splat with TechnoKitten riding shotgun. Decided to clear up a few caches in this area. I drive past this one most weeks. So now I know where it is I can pick up any trackables wanting to go overseas.
Parked close by and walked to GZ up bank behind. Fossicking among the cursed flax we soon had it in hand.
I uplifted Not Another Micro GC and discovered the rest in residence... and Dropped in Keymaster TB hoping someone will take it back to Melbourne before I go back that way.
TK signed the log and we left calling cards.

Found in the dark this morning, raining slightly, had to lay low for a while as a nosey security gaurd was doing the rounds of near by buildings, was going to take Pistol Pete for a flight, but considered taking a gun in my hand luguage was a bit risky these days. Good hiding spot. TFTC
Found this minus Hopeful #1, but with Hopeful #3 on our way back from visiting the MAF beagles. Incidentally, we only saw TB PistolPete in the cache - but maybe we were in a hurry or someone's already taken them?
