Sadly after nearly 4 years this cache is being archived. Geodes has reported that not only has the container gone (again!), but the whole brick that it was hiding in has also been removed! So hope it gave some fun to those who found it - farewell our little friend!
10.40am. i was on my hols and had already solved this one so my first attempt of this day after paying 4 dollars to park i came over here for a search and soon realised all that work was for nothing so 10550 miles for a dnf, but i did find others today. but as i do my logs i see its been archived, could it not be replaced again.greetings from england.patandjeff=bones1.
Met up with Blacklegend17 to do another one of our night cache runs. Seached for half an hour at GZ and spotted a couple of very likely hiding spots. Reading past logs it appears it may have gone again (or maybe we just didn't find it.
Another night caching run with Marty (Quasar3671) around Melbourne and suburbs. As with quasar3671's comments, i think the cache is missing. Cheers.
Solved the puzzle a little while ago and headed off to GZ today. We were fairly certain of what we were looking for but no luck for us today.
We really enjoyed solving this puzzle. Retrieving the cache was a challenge in an area where there are normally many muggles. We managed to find a "window of opportunity" and quickly retrieved the cache, signed the log, replaced and then got on our way. TFTC
After spending far too long researching this before the obvious became obvious one evening last week I finally got around to heading out from the hostel and grabbing it. I spotted what would be the hide straight away but must admit to a GAFF3 which I then used to check my assumption due to muggles. I was spot on and backed up by the hint settled into patient stealth mode. Even on a sunday with everything shut up there was still a pretty constant flow. Eventually I was all clear as the light faded I confirmed my guess by locating the cache and signing away with the camo hidden in the small of my back pressed against GZ. Return was a simpler task and well rewarding. Cheers Pprass for a nice offset. Now for that holiday to the Greek Islands...

Thanks to the marvelous Geodes, the cache is now back and ready to be found again.
This cache has gone missing 3 times now - wonder if a smoking muggle is onto it?

Did all the work for this one. Departed Perth on 7 July so did not know it was unavailable. Took a bit of effort to catch the red tourist bus to get there. Found the empty hole and put a piece of card in there with our name and date. Now at home and probably wont be back any time soon. So can I call it a find??
Thanks pprass! Amazing the lengths we go to get a smiley face. Obsession factor high!
Was having lunch with muggle friends that are very understanding of my "weird" hobbies, so wandered out to grab this after eating.
I was quite surprised and disappointed to find the hole was empty after I removed the covering Looks like this one has been muggled.

Solved the puzzle yesterday and checked final location on google earth. Aha, that's walkable from my hotel so I set off on a wlak around a few city caches and made it to this one too. Nice one! TFTC, Biggles.
Today was one of the better days to be around gz and i was soon signing the log, thanks pprass
The puzzle calculations were pretty easy but no problem, more exciting than counting horses on historic signs. I grabbed the cache while GZ was teeming on a Saturday morning, just had to wait for the right moment to poke around.
I worked out where it was hidden a little while ago, but hadn't got around to finding it until now. I was killing time before heading over to Festival Hall to watch Faith No More and remembered that there was an unfound cache nearby. I didn't have my GPSr with me, but knowing the general location and reading the clue was enough for me to find it. Millions of muggles were out; I'm not sure what was on. Eventually there was a break in traffic and I was able to do what was needed. Thanks pprass for a relatively straightforward puzzle and sneaky hide in a good location.
Cache has been replaced in the original hiding spot by Geodes. Hope it lasts this time.
Needless to say, this is a very high muggle area, so please try to avoid being detected when retrieving and replacing the cache. The hint is quite blatant to help with a quick find.

Geodes has kindly agreed to replace the cache in 2 or 3 weeks. He will also be maintaining this cache in the future.
The whole hiding spot has been taken away! Will see if I can use the original hiding spot.
Tried to find it late morning but very hot and muggly, plus the Etrex kept losing the signal. Returned with reinforcements (StreetWalkerNZ) during the evening, but still didnt find
Nice little mystery, had the solution lying around for a few weeks, finally got there today. Great place! TFTC

Think we need to do some research into this one when we get home as we had no idea of what we were looking for. We'll have another go next time we are in Oz.

In town overnight for a business trip at the right end of town, this was an excellent opportunity to grab the cache, having solved the puzzle with appropriate internet research some months back.
Good thing it was late Sunday night that I was searching at the GZ, because I wouldn't have wanted to search so assiduously with more muggles around - very sneaky hide.
Thanks for the geography lesson and the cache.

Nice and close to work. Needed to go when that favourite place of yours was nice and quiet. Clues were excellent and it was great to do another one of yours. I go there often myself as it has an atmosphere of it own. Thanks for cache.
What a fantastic place - thanks for bringing us here. We appreciated the transport tips too which helped to make this an enjoyable afternoon.

Out in the CBD with Scytale. We saw this cache yesterday and sat outside the NGV and worked out the location, unfortunately we didn't have time to bag the cache yesterday.

Easy find, SL but not too easy to replace with the muggle activity. Eventually resorted to the shoe-lace tying trick.

Worked out the finals for this one last night as we wanted to visit this area on our Melbourne visit. We were last here 10 years ago so it was great to check it out again. Although it is Friday, it wasn't too busy, and with geo sister and non geo sister in tow, it wasn't hard to disguise our assault on GZ.

Found by edmil and maddie. We were in town as maddie and I were staying in Northcote for the night and I was off to Cairns the next morning for work. The area was packed when we got near the GZ - not that I had the coordinates on me at that time. We had a bit of a wander and then headed off to the centre of town for a bite to eat and a decent coffee - starbucks no less. WHile sitting there I decided to see what caches were nearby and have a go at one or two. SO maddie and I sat in starbucks slurping our coffee and working out the final coordinated for this one. Now this is how I like my unknown - no real hard puzzling i.e. rabbittos. Armed with the coordinate we headed of the the GZ which was much quieter by now, the only problem was getting the birds to play ball they had me all over the place. Well eventually they settled down and we were able to nab the cache without any effort. Thanks for the cache Pprass- even managed to keep maddie out of the nearby no go zone.
Its great going out with a cacher, and its even better when they like puzzles, and solve them for you, when they are stuck at home in adelaide, whilst your in melbourne for work (and of course caching)
Checked the hint, after tying my laces for the first time. spotted a location, tied the other lace whilst a muggle had a smoke. by the time that i looked up he had disapeared, and i was actually able to move into the correct spot. Found with a couple of old greek muggles (think father from my big fat greek wedding) standing only a metre away. Since it was a new set of muggles, i could put down my bag, take my jacket off, and tie my shoe laces, all whilst grabbing the cache

In the city for WWFMIII and after finding a cache a bit north Rhinogeo and I were looking for a coffee. Ended up near this cache so I took the opportunity! I had solved the puzzle a long long time ago but had only one previous attempt which was aborted due to muggle infestation. Today it was busy but GZ was quiet, satellites were sending me far away but I was confident about the location and soon had the cache in hand.

Having been very warm back in January while looking in the decoy location, the return trip to this one proved successful. I guess that not many people go caching in thongs. You just have to have pesky shoelaces sometimes. Thanks pprass for a fun cache - even if it did take us 5 months to solve.
[Finally got to this one this evening at 6:30pm while driving by, after working out the coordinates a couple of months ago. Pretty quiet around here on a Sunday evening, so a quick find.] I'll have to do something about my shoelaces, which are always coming undone! [TFTC!]
We really should have read the logs!! Got distracted by the obvious but empty spot referred to by others. Due to intense muggle activity we gave what we now believe to be GZ only a very quick grope. Anyhow, it's not all about notching them up. As visitors we appreciated being brought here.
Some unfinished business finally finished. After being fooled by the decoy previously and then on reading the logs realising the error it was a quick and easy find today. Cost Lady Morris a small fortune in shopping nearby though. TFTC
HAD to find this cache, as this is the namesake of one of our children! So, walked all around this morning after finding a laundromat. Cheers to Queen V!
Here's a hide where my work is between the listed location and the actual location. I was suffering from brain fade, so decided a spot of cache might be just the thing to wake me up. Sadly the strategy didn't work, and once back at work, I had to go home early. Maybe it'll work next time!

B-Team find while in town for work. I was reasonably confident of the final destination, but the GPS had other intentions until it was convinced otherwise. Fortunately, I arrived at the end of the busy period, so there was little distraction. Quickly completed the log and continued on my journey. TNLN Good Luck!
So in between short stays in Melbourne, the cache being fenced off and other delays I finally got around to finding it. However, tot before ringing the owner thinking I had to break some bad news to him. As it turns out I had found v. 1.0, a little hint to look closer and I was on my way.

Went with BackpaQer to find this at lunchtime. He had a look and the first place he tried he found it. Was starving so the curry nearby was most welcomed.
Walked right up and two old dudes on scooters were blocking my access...so we stood around and stared at them. They moved on soon enough and the cache was quickly in hand. ITRDC5 was kinda surprised how fast it was retrieved...signed log and disappeared into the curry joint nearby. Thank god I've finally knocked this one off.
Having missed this one in April and realising that it now had a new MO and that the barricades were gone, I thought I'd give another go this morning. Thankfully, all was OK and I quickly had the cache in hand at 10:50.
TNLNSL. Thanks pprass.

Barricades have now been removed. Cache is still there however the log sheet has mysteriously become damp since I checked it last.
Went down to see what is happening today and found that the barricades are still there. However there is a small gap where the barricade meets the wall which is where the workmen use to access the area. I got through the gap - and even amongst the workmen I managed to check on the cache and it is still there. However I won't reactivate until the barricades are completely removed.
Arrived at GZ to find extra barracades erected since Crisp image and Wam78's visit. Between the markets and the midday pedestrian traffic, we decided to come back on our next visit to your fair city.
It appears that there is some maintenance going on in the area. Will disable until all back to normal.

Whoops again, it looks like its MO has been changed since ssmc4 found it therefore my previous note was most likely in vain. Sorry about that pprass. That will teach me for not reading my e-mails before doing logs . I guess I'll have to try again.
You'll probably have to remove the "maintenance" note on the cache, pprass. Many apologies.

Oh, oh. I had figured out the co-ords of this one a while ago and this was our first real chance at a search. I had a quick look at a couple of likely spots but when s(1) of ssmc4 arrived to meet us and confirmed our co-ords, we found the hiding spot but alas no cache.
Why anyone would take the container but leave its camo, who would know. Sorry to be the bearer of the bad news pprass but thanks for what should have been a real beauty.

Had guessed the vicinity of this cache from the name, and then found myself in the neighbourhood running an errand during my lunch break. Having found a 10 minute parking spot around the corner, I grabbed a Subway sandwich for lunch and strolled to the very busy GZ.
When time ran out on my parking, I turned to leave and immediately spotted the hiding spot. Had to sit and eat my lunch until I could make a sneaky grab without alerting the passers by.

Very busy near cache site, so had distinct problems with my shoelaces! All performed discreetly. A nice area to explore after too, may well wander up this way again. T4TC
Had a pretty good idea of where to look for this one.... and sure enough.....
Had hoped to pick this one up while in town for training. Sighted the spot and and at this time of the night it was relatively muggle free, removed the holder and could see where I thought it should be but no luck. I was late for dinner so didn't look any further. Reading the logs later I realised maybe I should have been more persistent. Doh!!!!
Smart use of magnets. I always wondered what they were for. Love this area. So much good food.
I did the initial calculations for this one some months ago, but had left the retrieval for a later time - I'm not keen on CBD caches due to poor EPE and lots of muggles. However, today I bit the bullet and this was my third CBD cache attempted.
My GPS pointed inside, so after a short look around, I decrypted the clue. I quickly worked out where it was likely to be, but there were groups of muggles passing by, so I positioned myself in a suitable location and waited for a break in the muggles. Once retrieved, I quickly signed it, waited a bit longer, then replaced it. Thanks for a challenging cache.

I was in Melbourne attending an appointment so I grabbed a few caches while in town. I arrived at GZ and was sure I knew where the cache was, I looked and found a hole but no contents I knew from peter that the cache had been muggled before so I thought it must be gone, I rang Peter to inform him and he told me that it was there I kept looking and soon had the cache in hand. Thanks Peter I finally got around to getting it.
1221. We completed the first part a couple of days ago and thought that we wouldn't be anywhere near the final destination while we were here so put it aside. Then today we turned on the GPS and realised that we were actually right there so this was a bonus find for us! A clever idea for the multi.

#54 of 101 finds for the day in the company of Dak's Emu Mob.
The puzzle was a lot of fun to nut out but, not being locals, we weren't sure how the muggle traffic would be when we arrived.
After casing the joint we had a few ideas.. one of which turned out to be correct.

Well that didn't last long. According to dak, it's gone again. There must be an evil muggle lurking around there.

Cache has been replaced in a slightly different manner and different container. Co-ords have been altered slightly as well as the hint. It is now placed in an easier spot, which from a certain angle can be seen.
Checked on cache as we were passing by and it's gone again Will replace on Tuesday.

Worked out the co-ords a while ago and came here for a very quick bo-peep during my lunchtime about a week ago but couldn't see it that time. This time was much easier and aa Oenze said, the weather was lousy so that kept the muggle count down. Anyway thanks for the challenge.
Second of three finds for the afternoon. Purely by accident I picked exactly the right day for this cache. I found the cache relatively easily at 1100--it's a very clever hide. I had to employ some fancy arm and hand work behind my back to retrieve and replace it without being rumbled. There was nothing to exchange, so I just signed the log. Thanks to pprass for the cache.

Refreshing find today - didn't need to rely on re-reading cache notes at all. Walked just past GZ, GPS adjusted, walked back a little, and out of the corner of my eye, the clever location materialised.
Then came a little disappointment. The device's hole of an obvious shape did not contain the interlocking device of the obvious shape. Looking around, a discarded version was on the ground crushed and sans-log-sheet.
Fortunately, the semi-stocked cache bag in the car came up with the goods, and the Partic style cache sheet has been crossed out and PPrass added.
