Snake had found Leafy Stroll some months back and we had always intended to head back out to the area to complete the series. But then, the other night he luckily noticed that the final cache in the series was going to be archived. We decided to make finding the rest of the series a top priority and headed out today on a mission. It was hot and we all got a bit tired but were determined not to be beaten. We were relieved to find all the info that we needed though we did have a bit of moment when we thought one of the code sheets was missing from a cache - thankfully it was just hidden under some cacher cards - phew!!!!! After finding the last of the codes we sat down in the shade and worked out the coords - after consulting our GPS we headed off towards GZ and could just about taste success! But alas it seemed that at the last hurdle we had been foiled. We sat down and rechecked our coords and started googling pictures of 'the clue' incase we were thinking of the wrong thing. And then Spike spotted the crucial piece of info - we had one more small calculation to do - silly us! With hope in our hearts we strode off to our new GZ and straight up to the cache - sweet, sweet success! We really enjoyed finding the little codes and working out the little puzzle at the end. Thanks for keeping this one up long enough for us to finish
I've had to archive one of the prelims for this one, so I'd better archive it too - I was never too happy with it after its original location became untenable. I'll leave the cache there until Christmas so anyone who has the co-ords can still log it.
Met up with Blacklegend17 to do another one of our night cache runs. Having completed the four caches in the series last week it was time to find the final. Arrived at GZ and was a bit confused until we read the description again. Adjustments made and we headed over to the new GZ where we quickly had the cache. It was rather exposed so rehid a bit better when we put it back.
Another night caching run with Marty (Quasar3671) around Melbourne and suburbs. Once at GZ, we had to access the iphone after a little bit of confusion. But with some coordinate adjustment in hand, we made the find at GZ easily.
it was really wet inside. Didn't get coordinates until we PHONED FRIEND for help and then found it. nice series.
Ah, so that’s what a m….. looks – and feels – like.
Unfortunately the logbook is a bit wet.
I really enjoyed the series. None of the parks will become my favourite as they are all pretty neat and I prefer them more wild and natural. But I liked the idea behind this series, showing you places you wouldn’t normally stop at. It certainly helped me getting to know the area.

Finally knocked this one off the local radar this evening. Had all the clues in hand for a while now, so with a little spare time at work solved the puzzle. Caused some grief until I finally phoned home. Of course GZ was the exact place we had earlier earmarked for this cache, so upon arrival a pretty quick find. Cache contents a little damp but operable. TFTC Bob, a fun puzzle and yet another excursion with the kids. TNLN
Continuing on with our Muggle friends we came to this park (we got MMelb and Muggle friend to work out the puzzle code back at the previous park) so we headed off to GZ.
Well this was where the fun began .....
We searched around for about 5 mins and didnt come up with the cache so we decoded the clue - problem No. 1 .......... we didnt know what "that" was !!!! Tried ringing GMelb at work to ask him to describe a ? to us, but he didnt answer lol
Hmmmm, looked around every ? in the area in the specified ? but still didnt find anything except the remains of a ? so we thought it might have been accidently council muggled lol
So we were going to give up and the kids went off to the playground to play and I went to check the Car GPS for the last few logs ....................... It was then I discovered Problem No. 2.....
DER!! It was THEN that I saw about the 0.44 and 0.22 adjustments being required - I was too blind to see it in BOLD HOT PINK on the print out I had !!!!! lolol
So I made the necessary adjustments and my friend and I headed off in the right direction wondering when the kids would notice what we were doing. We were within 30m of the new GZ when "HEY!!!! ...... WAIT FOR US!!!!!!" rang out through the park and they came running! lol
The (damp) cache was fairly easily spotted once at this new GZ but future searchers should watch out for broken glass in and around GZ
TFTC Geodes and the whole series which has taken way longer than it should have lol - Grassy Meander was our 3rd ever cache found way back in September last year!! It has taken us to parks we had never been to before and we have had lots of fun!!

Really enjoyed this series, thanks Geodes.. my 3rd Unknown cache, Find #148 overall.. TFTC S damp L
Checked on cache today - it was a bit wet, but it's still there, although, as it doesn't get visited too often, it was somewhat buried and hard to find. I've added a hint to the cache description.
This has been a long journey for me but a very enjoyable one. I am now aware of some nice little parks in my area that I can bring my grandkids to to play. I did the first one, Grassy and did not even think of picking up the clues as I am so not into puzzles. As I got to the next park (not the same day) I thought why not give it a go and as I continue on with the others I kept the puzzles pieces on file. (this was over some 12months). This last month I have decided to do caching spring cleaning and deal with those peski ones that have you stumped or just never got to finsihing them off. I have managed to clear quite a few and suprising enough that some of them weren't difficult at all.
I did need to go back to Grassy and pick up the first couple of letters but as that is just round the corner it was no hassle. Getting is all together I deciphered the clues fine but how did you get them to numbers !!!!. I emailed (thanks Bob), DAH how dumb am I. (Very clever Bob)
Thanks for help and the cache, I really enjoy the local tour of parks.

Finally found today after a long time of gathering the clues... I suspected the cache would be in this park from the beginning, so was nice to have that confirmed!
Parked near GZ and had a slightly concerning period of time trying to uncover the cache, to the point of fearing it was gone. But then the cache revealed itself, safely tucked away.
TFTC and the nice excuse to visit my many local parks (including the one we back onto!!)

Thanks for checking the cache Geodes, I thought I did a good job at tearing that tree apart looking for it but it was just a little bit deeper.
It still took me some time to find it with your additional clues, particularly due to a muggle across the street milling around her front yard for twenty minutes. People sure move slowly on New Years Day.

I've finally got around to replacing this one - the drought has had a severe effect on many of our parks and a number of trees have been removed from this one and there aren't a lot of spots to hide a micro even.
Don't forget to make the adjustments to your calculated coordinates.
Don't forget to make the adjustments to your calculated coordinates.
Sorry I haven't replaced this yet. I'm not happy with the old location, which has been muggled twice. The original location was better, but its cover has died off in the drought. I think I've found a new spot - I'll try to get it replaced before Christmas.
Looks like this has been muggled again. I'll try replacing it with a micro this week sometime.
With permission of the owner we're logging this find.
A very clever and frustrating final search. Certainly enjoyed its ingenuity. Furthermore being taken to the four prelims was reward in itself. In talking with our Melbourne hosts they only knew about the "Leafy Stroll" area.
Thanks again Geodes.

Found this one on a quick drive by after having done the other caches some time ago. Our GPS had us off the GZ by about 5 meters, but the location was easy enough to pick.

Found quickly on a day where the park was nearly empty. A bit exposed so after logging and swapping we tried to cover it up a bit better.

It has taken us some months to complete this series as we sweep through the suburbs clearing caches before us. We had the correct coordinates for some time, but it was not till today that we got a chance to visit this area An easy find that was a little exposed. Seeing as it has not been found since May that is probably understandable.

Having got all the clues the previous weekend and put them together and cunningly decoded them, we were passing by on our way to the financial planner and realised this had a higher priority. Initially looking in the wrong place until interchanged a couple of letters, which led us straight to GZ. In fact the container was visible if you knew where to look. Took a blue cube in exchange for a tortoise shell button and SL. However a student muggle on a nearby bench in line-of-sight prevented an immediate return. An hour later after meeting the FP the container was safely ensconsed (and not so visible)
Replaced container this morning - if it gets muggled again, I'll try a different spot. It's a pity the original spot has suffered from the drought - I liked it better.
Found it or should I say geojen did and she found only what was left of the cache! I forgot to make the alterations to GZ so I was looking in the wrong place but Geojen just looks in likely places and that's how she found it. Unfortunatly there is only the cache lid and log book there. The rest is gone and the last entry in the log is an offer of great sex and a phone number so obviously not a cacher. We don't have time for that nonsense. Too many caches to get.
I should put a watch on this cache, literally, to see who goes after that phone number.

15:55 Found 200702121555 . I had completed two of this series some time ago, and enjoyed knocking over the rest with my nephew Max (though the jury is out on whether he enjoyed the playgrounds we found along the way more ) In the general GZ area, we had to wait for a few muggles to move away, but the cache was found easily in the obvious spot (albeit about 20m away from where the eTrex was indicating)

Note that I've needed to move the cache slightly due to deterioration of its old cover. You will now need to offset your calculated coordinates slightly - subtract .016 from your South coord and subtract .013 from your East coord. The cache has been moved 34m NW.
Finally found the last one. What a great time. Thanks Geodes for this multi. It's been a lot of fun and you are certainly right. If it wasn't for geocaching, we never would have found all these great little parks and had a great wander around our local suburbs.

Finally put this one to bed. It took six months to gather all the caches and a return trip here today to confirm my suspicions. Thanks geodes for a great series and finale.
Nice one! Very brisk breeze outside today which meant we were as quick as possible! No-one was at the park, we think that everyone must have been watching the Melbourne Cup. Took - little parachute man, left - a nice leather plectrum holder keyring made by dean markley.
Thanks very much Geodes for the series - was a good bunch of caches to do over the long weekend. Plus it was a good bonding experience with the wife

Made my usual silly mistake on the calculations but wasn't far off and after a couple of minutes fixed it and found the cache easily. T hippo, L walrus. thanks Geodes for a nicely done series and a tour around the area.
I found the initial caches for this over the last 6 months, but it's taken me a while to get around to doing this one. Nice easy find. TNLN. Thanks Geodes.
[Last weekend the carto family set out to complete this series in one go. We found all the caches and codes and sat in the car to work on the clue. Once we figured out the clue I plugged the numbers into the GPS. The distances was in-line with the other caches so off we went.] The waypoint from the clue took us to a park and right up to a tree…this also fit in with the series. [I searched and searched until the rain started but couldn’t find it. Once we got home I rechecked the clue and found that I had made a mistake.] A mistake that took me to a park, and even to a tree just not the right one!

Found @ 8:30pm Did the preliminary caches yesterday but couldn't solve the final GZ in the field. On the way home from a dinner outings we just had to drop-in to finalise the series. Thanks Goedes for a great series, our first completed series. TNLNSL
Found by Facitman and the Facit-Family at 16:10
After completing the preliminary caches some weeks ago the family returned to the area today to collect the final cache. Arrived at GZ to find the GPSr pointing us to a odd location, to add to our troubles a couple of muggles were placed overlooking the possible hiding spots. We retreated after a few minutes . Returned later in the day to a clear search area but found nothing and still had odd GZ location. Called for assistance to confirm final co-ords only to find a wrong digit With the correct co-ordinates we were soon at the right GZ and s-facit had cache in hand. , still not sure how I came to have the wrong co-ords

After a short while of sitting in the car working out the location of the real GZ, I headed off to the site, this place was much quieter than I expected given the location and number of people seen in other areas during the weekend.
Found the cache quickly, put a log in the book (which is getting full) and headed back to the warmth of the car.
Thanks for the series Geodes!

Found it just on lunch time but...muggles again, this time sitting having lunch next to the cache. I suppose a great day for caching is also a great day for muggles. Lurked around playing with the dog until they wandered off, probably to report a stalker hanging around with a small dog SL Out:key clip, In:keyring Many thanks for the series, Geodes. 11:20. Thanks Geodes for a great series - all the Geos in the family were involved in different parts and we loved the play grounds. On the back of yesterdays success with Diamonds in the Rough (thanks for your help)last night King Snr worked out the puzzle - it was all Greek to me. Despite the rain we headed but off but because I had copied down one of the clues incorrectly we had to check out multiple likely targets within the park - opportunities everywhere. Nope, no luck - back to chat with the crocs we went and then back again. Then bingo, I am sure we looked there earlier.... In: Yoyo Out: Geese. Thanks Again

With the real co-ordinates determined and locked in (thanks s), off we headed to finish the series. We all piled out of the car and moved unnerringly towards GZ. c was on a roll by now and quickly nabbed her 3rd of the afternoon at 17:10 in the encroaching gloom.
TNLNSL. Many thanks Geodes for a great series with a very clever coding method (despite the shoddy grammar ). For what it's worth, I'd pick Surrey Dive as my favourite of the series. It really hit the "If it wasn't for ..." theme nail on the head for me.

Cache #4 in a joint expedition with EuDes (2 dads, 3 kids & 1 dog) on a Saturday afternoon to complete this series. It was starting to get a little dim and the temperature was dropping but we were on a mission to complete this series. EuDes and his trusty multi-function walking stick, aided by the youngest member of our party, unnerringly made his way to the GZ and they turned up the cache.

Thought that I would 'stroll' around this afternoon and pick up this series. It is a great day to be out caching. . but then, any day is a great day for caching isn't it. What a great series. I was ready to 'bag' this last one but there was a chap teaching his daughter to ride her mini two-wheeler down the conrete path, and his son to play football. I had to wait for about 10 mins before I logged my find. I didn't mind though. It was great to see a Dad enjoying the park with his children.[^] Thanks Geodes

Found at 1915 after completing all the preliminary caches late this afternoon. The other three stayed in the car, so Pickupfamily Dad trapsed off through the park alone in the dark, cold and wet, juggling GPS, (too-big) torch, PDA and Umbrella. Amazing how dirty you can get your feet when you can't see where you're stepping.
Found the hiding spot easily but got a bit wet finding the actual container as had to use the umbrella for purposes other than keeping me dry. Still, I have enjoyed all these caches a great deal, as they don't take too long to find, only a few possible spots to search.
Once the container was found, tried to find somewhere sheltered to log it, couldn't find anywhere satisfactory. Had a quick look inside and reaslised I had left my pen in the car, so back to the car, only for Pickupfamily Mum to find there WAS a pen in the cache itself of course. TNLNSL, and hid it back away for the next person.
Quite tired and wet, headed home.
Very impressed with this series, well done Geodes. Perfect for the kids, love the playgrounds, nice easy clues, short walks and easy but fun hides. Thanks very much.

If it wasn't for caching we wouldn't have solved this puzzle and found our 499th cache! Having a severe case of head scratching as the clues were collected from other caches, the eureka moment came surprisingly quickly when we had all the info. Another great park and a quick find.

Haven't been to this cache yet, but in researching mystery caches on this rainy day, I decided to create a public bookmark list including all the preliminary caches for this. I haven't yet worked out how to make good use of bookmarks, but I thought I'd try this and make it shared/public in case it's of any use to others.
Geodes, I hope you don't mind, I'm happy to remove if you want, and/or you can take this over if you want.

We wanted to get this one with the other 4 in this series, but it took us a bit to work out the clues, guess we got a bit confused by all that greek, anyway this was the first time we were back in the area, so we made this one our first port of call.

First day out with a new iPac. Guess what, it does not show the formula. Boy, was I in trouble. Fortunately, the laptop was in the back (showing my Mum how to use email - don't ask ).
It had the formula (thanks GSAK).
Substituted all the bits...hmm...maybe lunch would be a good idea.
First guess had me down by the freeway. Although I thought you might drive home that way, it did not seem to fit in the right area.
Next guess looked very promising, and indeed worked out well.
Thanks for a very entertaining series around my old stamping ground.

Grrr ... picked up on my grammar by a pair of pettifogging pedantic pedagogues .
Actually I had used "weren't" throughout the cache descriptions (and in the logbook, as noted), but upon proof reading, I began to have doubts about its correctness and decided to change things - sometimes it doesn't pay to "overthink" these things!

Last of seven finds for the day in company with acts2youthgroup. We had all of the clues, and I formulated a couple of plans for determining the final coordinates. However, the two methods we tried gave us coordinates that didn't look likely. Anyhow, if these methods were correct, Nuzza would have been able to work it out without ruminating on it over night. We decrypted the hint, and followed the instruction therein. I rang Muzza, and when he gave me the hint I groaned out loud--I had made it more difficult than necessary. We now had a likely se of cordinates, and we set off. We made the find at 1220 despite the presence of many muggles. Thanks to Geodes for the cache.

Note on Grammar: The verb 'to be' in the name of this cache is in the subjunctive mood (the essential function being to express hopes or hypotheses), so it should say "If it weren't for . . ." I was pleased to see that the cache name on the log book in the cache stated it correctly.

The final of the series was found at 12:20 in the company of Dak Emu. After gathering all the clues we pondered over them and tried a few theories that would have put us some distance away, Dak crack the hint and we took it literally and gave Muzza a call and all was revealed, how had we miss that. Thanks Bob for a most enjoyable series.
And thanks Dak for another grammar lesson, I am learning all the time.

TNLL.
Got to final location and took a few different 'look spots'but hit the sneaky hide in the pleasant location around 12.30 pm.A great series to Geodes with alot of exciting parks along the series.Well done Geodes for a 5 piece park trek that the kids enjoyed and the adults too !!!
Of the five parks in this series I have previously been to four of them before Geocaching.
We have been here many times over the years for many reasons that would be considered spoilers so we will reflect on the time we came here for a wedding.
A nice wedding that finished just before the rain started. Perfect timing.
We had a little trouble with the clues and decoded the hint. It still took a bit of time to work it out.

Collecting the clues for this cache was a great enjoyment today so when we came across the final location (without any gnashing of teeth to work out the puzzle), K, Gabrielle and I just had to stop and have out picnic lunch here. What a great location. Some of the trees must be incredibly old and the cooling shades they cast must be a godsend in summer.
Replacing the picnic things in the car, we took a lesuirely stroll to GZ and while K was following the GSPr to a location a few meters away, Gabrielle and I with our geo-senses a-tingling headed to a slightly different spot and !!! Bingo!
Took glass bead, left ball and dinosaur.
Thanks Geodes. This was a great series from start to finish. Simple, easy, enjoyable and great way to spent a lazy easter Monday.

Found this one the last in the series, after collecting the clues, we set about working out the final GZ, Hmmmm, not sure, decripted clue and took it as it was written and called the Maccamob, to see if they could give us a hint, David obliged and the penny dropped. Off to the GZ and another great playground for the kids. Head Chef knows this area very well as it was near where he went to trade school many years ago. The cache was found by Baby Chef Again!!!
Thanks Geodes for this very enjoyable series, that showed us the very best playgrounds in the area, the kids loved it!!

Found by Mary & David at 1615. Pondered the puzzle for quite a while before some caffeine input put us on the right track. Took bouncy ball, left bear. Our thanks to Geodes for an enjoyable afternoon.
Dear Geodes,
We found your new cache today at 1:20pm as the final cache of five on our speedy cache dash before lunch jaunt. We finished the fourth preliminary cache with no idea what to do. Oh wait, yes I do. Whew. We took the USA Geocoin. Thanks Geodes.
Kindest Regards,
D,H & K B-A
After finishing the clues it was time to gather the information and solve this series. We fired up the laptop and realised that the major part of this puzzle was missing and after an earlier conversation with Team Crackers we decided to head home and ponder.
We arrived home and after a much needed coffee I sat down with the clues and studied the solution. It was a case of Mmmm how do I?, I resorted to the Hint and it didn’t offer much, then it was No, No, Yes, Yes it is. I worked the coordinates and all fitted. I called the Rabbiitto hotline to check what I had worked out and Dean was kind enough to say confirm it was right.
It was getting on in the evening now and with the Boys asleep I decided to give the Team Crackers home line a call and offer a ride to the GZ for all their help they provided today. At around 11.45pm the cache was found and logged by the Coffee Clan and Team Crackers.
Many thanks Geodes for an enjoyable and fun series of cache, Much enjoyed. And extra thanks to Rabbitto for confirming my workings, and thanks to Team Crackers for their help and company.
Regards Mr.Coffee and the “if it wasn’t for a ….. we may have not finished it today†Clan.

We came home the other day feeling confident that we knew how to solve this one, this confidence was soon dashed as our idea didn't work so we thought that we would try the Muzza approach and slept on it. This also didn't work. After a late night conversation with Mr Coffee tonight he pointed out the error of our ways and the co-ords were soon in hand. This called for a midnight foray so off to Coffee HQ for a very enjoyable chauffeured drive by the head barista. After a very quick stroll the cache was located in the only possible area.

Very Sneaky! I was lying in bed when suddenly it hit me. Now to grab Kiwideb and get there before someone else works it out.
After doing the initial 4 caches yesterday with Kiwideb, we sat in the car trying to work out all the angles. We entered a few sets of co-ordinates into my GPS but they were either too far away, or not in a park. I checked my PDA for Geodes' phone number, and even rang to see if DAK had it. Reluctantly, after much thought and co-ordinate plotting, we abandoned the puzzling and headed our separate ways.
This morning, while lying in bed, it suddenly struck me what to do. I quickly fired up my PC, entered the co-ordinates onto my map and voila - a park - and in the right area. A quick call to Kiwideb and off we went for a welcome joint FTF, and, in keeping with yesterday, it was again raining. No exchange was made. Thanks for a great series highlighting some lovely local parks.

Got up early to do some 7am SALE Shopping at Harris Scarf, took my GPS and Paperwork with me hoping Muzza would have a Brain Storm. Paid for my purchases at 8am and a call from Muzza saying he had worked it out and on his way, wanted to know where i was. Happily 7 mins from the cache.
Met at the cache and like yesterday it rained hard, cache was found at 0820 no swap was made. Muzza covered the cache while I signed the book.
A well deserved 1st to find for Muzza, I just tagged along.
Thanks for the cache geodes, great series.
Laughed when I realised how it was worked out. Very Clever.
Now back to shopping

Mmmmmmm, I liked you guys at the beginning when i did the 1st 4 of your caches. I'm not so sure now. Hurt my brain to try and work this one out. Had to head home cacheless, but hopefully "I'll be back"
