The description says there is a sign with cooords on the back but we couldn’t find the sign
So after yesterday’s failure I did a PAF once home and explained my search area. Thought it needed to be in that corner as others had barbed wire fencing. The friend indeed confirmed I was in the right zone but that I needed to widen my search a little more. Ok!!! Should be easy ! Headed back today as close to home and gave myself the target of peering in 10 more likely hidey holes based on the descriptive hint. Number 4..... BINGO! Sad the sign with first WP is gone but glad my caching nose was on song! Liberated a TB that very well have been trapped for some time !!! Tftc
The sign in question appears to no longer exist? Tried a wide search anyway for a likely GZ but no luck.
After parking the car I meandered over to the sign to grab the needed coordinates for GZ. Once again I had left my reading glasses in the car and I was confident in the numbers I had read, but not so the numbers I had entered into the phone. My car was only 30 metres away but I ummed and aahed about going back to grab my glasses. Even though these days I am blind as a bat without them, I still want to feel young even if I don't look it.
I had to walk past the car anyway so I quickly put my specs on to check the photo I had taken and the numbers I had punched in. It looks like there is still a bit of youth in this ugly old duckling yet.
I crossed into the bush and with a myriad of places to search decided on a new strategy which I will put into a book one day. Instead of heading for the likeliest of places, I decided on a top-down approach checking all the things that didn't require me to go downhill straight away. I made up a new term for this policy called "common sense" (trademark pending). My new plan worked and I found the cache before scrambling all over the country side. tftc

The Mountains to Mangroves series were some of the first caches I ever found. I think I must nearly have them all now. I had waited until I had a little bit of time to go and fetch this one and as Miss14 was busy at a rollerskating party not too far away, I took myself off to see what I could find. I found the appropriate information straight away and soon had some coordinates. Walking through the bush to GZ, I realised this was going to be a bit of a task, there were great hiding spots everywhere!!! After reading some logs and the hint and searching for about 30 minutes I was very relieved to find the cache. Yay! So glad to have found this one. TFTC vwnuts, I have really enjoyed the series
We had teamed up with Mrs SP to pick up a few stray multis laying around that neither of us had collected before. It was pretty warm out here today and we can only hope Mr SP is as covered in as much sweat as us while playing golf and not in some cool golf buggy with the breeze blowing through his hair.
We parked at the first waypoint to grab the necessary info and made the short walk to find the final. We had a bit of jumping with the phones here and split up a little and searched different areas until the cache was located.
Once we got ourselves out of the bush, we weren’t taking any interest in the sign, we had another cache to find…

Friday. Mr SP was out playing golf so Mrs SP accepted an invite from the 4Andos to go and grab some caches. I realised we would need to hunt some down closer to home so I chose to claim some multis as these are ones that SP don’t normally go for.
After checking off the numbers, and punching them into the waypoints on the phone, we headed off to collect this cache. A search around for a few minutes finally had us yelling “found it!” It was a nice call as it was rather hot and humid today.
This was the 4th of 5 caches found on today's trip.
Thanks ***vwnuts***, for showing us this place.

I had completed the first part well over a year ago, when I had no idea what to do with the given information at WP1. I had snapped a pic and then went home to learn a new skill. I had kept the actual find until I needed a quick grab and today was just that day. Got a face full of spiderweb at one point, complete with little bush spider - so a little bush dancing was done here! To my surprise the cache is also 8.5 months unloved, so an extra bonus for me aside the !

Being lucky enough to receive an early mark from work today, I had a couple of hours up my sleeve and a plan to put in place for something down the track.
This brought me to this area, so I wandered on over and made my conversions quickly.
Headed over to GZ and had a little more trouble here. My phone had me about 16 metres to the east of where the cache ended up. However the clue was helpful, so narrowed down my searching options and eventually found what I was looking for.
Thanks for the cache vwnuts.

Out with the girls and this was another on the list, we found wp1 and had a little trouble with working it out but we eventually found it signed it and marked another off the list. TFTC
I've always enjoyed this series! My old gps was much easier to use UTM on though, I can't get it to work on my garmin. But luckily google is helpful! After a few wrong coords (the cache is not in the ocean!) one of us managed to get some right numbers!
Out on a caching day today with Mrs Wombles, RhoBoCacher and Dora the Explorer. We collected what we needed at WP1 and after a bit of messing around moved along to gz where the cache was retrieved. We added our names to the log and returned as found. Tftc vwnuts
I quite like this series now that I've found a website (and know how to get to it on my phone) that will translate coordinates correctly for me. In the past I always had to go and get the information, then take it home to translate it and then come back another day to find the cache. Very pleased to now be able to do the whole thing in one trip.
Saw an interesting construction near ground zero.

Out for a near last blast in 2015 ... and I wanted Multi's to finalise a last challenge. So, here I am! Somehow I missed this on previous journeys, but once spotted in planning for today it was a must do destination. The M2M series is like coming home. The chairs are comfortable, the fire is warm (or the aircon is perfectly set), and the food in the pantry is your favourite. I UTM'd it up and soon had a container in my hands. Loving it.
Thanks for placing this cache, vwnuts. Found in good condition.

This multi rounded off a DNF and cornering a cake eating monster on a very warm and muggy morning. Seeing the shanty looked at a couple of large tree trunks until the container was found. TFTC vwnuts
Light was fading and battery was getting very low as I navigated toward the listed coordinates. Nice little field puzzle. I always enjoy these mountain to mangrove caches. Found the humpy like structure at GZ and a few broken containers but after reading the logs I knew I had to widen the search area. The cache was found not far away in good condition. Wish I had brought a trash bag to give the site a bit of a clean up. TFTC
Retrieved the information from the first WP. Using this information, I converted the UTM onto the GPS. A quick walk over to the otherside and I could see evidence of a possible fort, and some interesting possible containers. The GZ was a little bit away from this thankfully and was securely in place and I signed the log. TFTC vwnuts
I don't travel these roads very often, so when I saw this sign today, I immediately pulled over without checking GC.com, pretty confident there would be something on the back. And there certainly was.
A short walk later, I was dismayed to see a broken container at the most obvious target area. I tipped it to empty the water and hoped that it was not the cache. Looking further, I found another container and did likewise. After a while of wandering up and down, I read a recent log which suggested I should be prepared to go a little further afield than where my phone may be pointing.
With that in mind, it wasn't long before I had the real container in hand and I'm pleased to say it's in very good condition. TFTC and a nice generous terrain rating to boost the average!

I had found the first waypoint some time ago, but did not have time to go to the next one then. Today, I had the time after work, so headed here. I parked nearby and wandered over to GZ. Once there, I quickly located the cache and signed the log. I returned the cache to its hiding spot and headed home
This would be the second (or is that third?) we have completed in this series, and my appetite has been whet for more. The other one had the coords removed, with replacement numbers thankfully marked on the sign by another cacher, do I didn't need to convert my GPS. This time, however, a conversion was necessary and thankfully didn't take long. A short wander later, and I found a ramshackle lean-to which didn't produce results. With a widening of the search radius the Cache was soon found, and us in good condition although the paint which once coated it is long gone. TFTC for a great multi and series
After grabbing a few of 'wingaap's' caches for my 500th find we grabbed this quick little multi.
We found what we were looking for at the start and after a bit of settings searching and confusion I found what I needed to do in order to use the found information. With everything entered we were off in hunt of the last waypoint.
Whilst approaching where GZ was said to be there was quite a strange little construction going on and a few old containers. Fairy Mother and I thought for a moment that we had just found a Muggled cache and there is nothing worse then having to report that.
After a quick look at the hint, we knew where we had to start searching. After a few pokes here and there we found what we were looking for... For us the reading was about 15mtrs off target.
Thanks for the cache 'vwnuts'. The cache is in good order.

I managed to convert my GPS to UTS or was it UPS. Still I found the cache about 12 from the GPS position, so thank you.
We couldn't turn the GPS to UTM co-ords so we thought we would give it a go using only the hint. After about 20 minutes of searching we were lucky and could sign the last log book of the day
Found it with Team Pyne and our two youngest geokids.

This morning hanging around with Net88 we decided we should go for a cheeky geocache find. After scrolling around the map, we settled on this multi with a decent D/T rating and one other to fill us up. Net drove us out to this one and after parking in a convenient space, we headed for the sign. As endless as this series seems, I love it. A little bit unique and a lesson with every hide. I did the long scroll through my settings, made the changes, entered the digits, swapped it all back and we headed off.
A quick dash into the bush was all that was needed, although this seemed to confuse Net. She got her grey matter into gear and followed me down. The GPSr was pointing to a very unlikely spot, my guess is a structure built by the local kids, so we started a short distance away. I soon spotted the container so flicked it out for us to do our thing with. My GPSr indicated the geocache was about 18m from the GZ I had programmed in off the sticker. All done and dusted here, we headed back to the car and off for another find. TFTC vwnuts

Captain Terror and I had been sitting around this morning trying to decide which cache to go for when we scrolled past this multi. Hmmm an unfound multi so close to me, that is just rude. So we headed down to the subaru and put on my pretty green P plates.
I was soon pulling the car off the road and into a very convenient parking spot. We headed over to the sign and I read out the information for the Captain. I am so glad it was him and not me that had to do all the scrolling.
We followed the gps and I thought the Captain said we had to go that way... but then he headed that way instead... I stood there confused and he asked if I was coming... well yes... just confused as to WHERE i was going.
Soon we were standing at something suspicious and inside was a container. The coordinates seemed to be a little out but the cache was easy to find anyway. We signed the logbook and I replaced the cache as the Captain grabbed some coordinates. Thanks for the cache vwnuts.

Nearly gave up after finding a yellow-ish container out in the open and evident of non-geocaching activity at GZ. As previous logs have noted, cache was a fair way away from where GPS was pointing. TFTC.
We came by this one and decided to give it a go. I wasn't dressed for this particular style of caching but hey, we were right there, let's just get it.
Ms Garmin took me everywhere, back to the car to get the phone to see if there was a hint. You gotta be kidding - there's lots of them.
A bit more of a look and I was about to give up. Final check in one last spot and I came up trumps!
Thanks vwnuts for the cache - all good with the cache.

Was heading for the mailman run today and saw this one at the start. Having done a couple in this series I am now getting better at recoordinating my GPS to other formats. Coords located, I crossed over, traipsed down and went toward the likely spot. There she was. All is good with the cache. tftc vwnuts
After we widened our search a bit, we found this pretty easily. Coordinates were about 10m off where my GPS was putting me today. TFTC

We thought that we had ticked off all the available M2M caches, but we obviously missed this one in the past - good thing we noticed it today. We stopped to grab the required information at the first waypoint and headed off towards the next.
It wasn't long before we found the cache, and had the lo signed.
Thanks for the cache.

Yet another Mountains to Mangroves cache! This series seems endless
I had an interesting time exploring the area. The fort/cubby is quite a construction. I thought the cache had been muggled at first glance, but soon realised it was a decoy. Searched in several likely spots before I finally found the real cache, then had to dodge a spider to extract the container Took Laura's Rat TB.

Christmas caching! This lovely Christmas Eve, we decided to clear an area which has been on the go for a while. Wonder if that structure is really the work of local kids...

DNF-
First we had to figure how to change to UTM in my new GPS. Then off we went. We found the structure and thought the same as everyone else. (Not a bad effort and clearly it's been there a while I wonder why it's not finished?)
Dug around a bit-decided to go for hint.-Oh...ok...which one????...Did the spider dance again....
It's not until now- that I get home to see prev logs saying the co-ords could be up to 15m off.
Oh well....there's always another day!
Thanks!

This was cache # 8 of 20 for the day, on a day caching around the hills. all of these cache have taken me to some great spots, I must be getting close to finishing the series. My thanks to vwnuts for the cache.
Wish we'd read some recent logs before heading out to this one. Had to widen our search by about 12 - 15m, as per previous logs, but we did end up making the grab. Another MTM crossed of the list. TFTC
[Approached GZ with Palopinto, the visiting COACH P, and with MissGeosie on my back. Like others before us, we feared the worst with GZ indicating some plastic boxes lying out near some obvious child construction. Fortunately the boxes appeared irrelevant. A quick check of the recent logs convinced us that this was expected, as was a 15m discrepancy in coordinates. We then started searching every likely feature at around a 15m radius before I laid my hands on the cache. We took a new reading at GZ and would suggest] subtracting ten from the easting and adding them to the northing instead. [TFTC as always, vwnuts!]
Checked every feature available, coords definitely seem about 15m out. EngPhil took a new reading and will include in his log. Thanks for another in this fun series
Found this one while caching in the area. Collected the co-ords and set off toward GZ. Got the obligatory faceful of Orb Spiders on the way. I approached GZ and thought it had been muggled. As others before me reported, the local children must have been building a fort here at some stage. I found an open container and thought the worst. Thankfully it was just a tool box full of nails. Used the hint and widened the search. Located after checking a few likely spots. The final GZ was off by about 15m for me. Picked up Rosies Sneaker TB. TFTC vwnuts
Despite this being a second visit, still took a long hunt to locate it and final coords were slightly out for us. Clue was very useful. Thanks vwnuts. (no sign of listed trackable...)
Thought it might have been muggled for a while as it looks like the neighbourhood kids had been trying to make a cubby, but looked further afield and found it. Left TB

Coords still on sign but despite a good search of GZ, came up empty handed. Initially thought this had been muggled as there were 2x bright orange containers lying open around GZ but turns out local mini-muggles have been building a treehouse/fort here. I suspect they have unearthed the cache in the process.
After reading previous logs and the hint (iphone had no reception when we were out there), i suspect we were just looking in the wrong spot. Will try to get out there again another time.

330 - Another one in this great series crossed off at 3:58pm. I wonder how many more of them we still have to do? I also wonder who built the lean to, someone who uses it as a home, or some of the local kids who use it as a cubby house? Also found the cache quite some distance from GZ, but it was reasonably easy to spot the correct hiding place using the hint. TFTC and the series vwnuts.

The large tree stump has been made into a bush lean-to by someone and has a lived-in look about it. Tree branches have been nailed to the stump. Tried to find the cache but wasn't successful. May be worth checking to see if it still there.
The previous finder has found this without doing the conversions. I would love to know how long it takes to do this without it coz it took me 15 minutes with a GPS AND the UTM conversion!!
Well done.
Cache is in good condition

Without a GPS with UTM conversion, this was a bit like a needle in a haystack! Luckily, DisSister and I found the right bale! TFTC
Not having a GPS that has UTM conversion makes this M2M series a little slow as we have to go home between finding the sign and finding the cache. Now that we've done a few and are more familiar with the hides we try our luck just with the clue. It has worked previously and worked again today with this one thankfully. It's great to stop and read these signs. Thanks
On a mission to square some local caches away before "A Corroboree", we were led by VWNuts through the area. How convenient that we should stop at one of his M2M caches along the way...
GPS put us approximately 20M of the booty but, in the presence of the owner, a couple of subtle hints put us back on track.
A quick lesson on setting the GPS to UTM mode was required for this cache. Another tick in the box for Gunnie69 and Silver Sovereign.
Found with Silver Sovereign.
Cheers
