I think the coords are off by a record 38m, so don't follow them into the bush. I just used the hint and there it was. TFTC.
A quick walk up the track. I was listening to the GPS, and there was water in the way, so I found my way over and started searching. It is quite steep on that side! Reading logs and the hint made me realised I am in the wrong spot, so I made my way back to the flatter area on the other side of the stagnant water body for a quick find... TFTC!!
No problem locating this on on a short stroll up the track..dropped off a TB tftc
We stayed in Reefton overnight and decided to come out to find a couple of caches out this way. Im glad we weren't heading too much further that way as the road was closed. We ventured up here, and im so glad we made the effort. What a cool place to visit. So much history. The cache was dry and clean. Thanks for the placement, BaldCat
Awesome short walk to this cache..loved the history and the old original pipe structures the cache is in good condition even though it has not been found for nearly a year thanks for bringing me here alo g with the cache baldcat well worth the effort
Quick find, just a short walk up from the Black's Point Museum. Thanks for the cache.
Today we decided on a bike ride and to do the Murray's creek loop. It did take a lot longer than we thought but we made it. I did walk my bike for a bit, at times wondering why we decided to ride rather than walk it.
Decided to do a side trip down here to grab this cache. It blends in quite well. TFTC

Coordinates were out on my phone but the hint was perfect. Beautiful spot … my friend’s first geocache!! TFTC
VI;m really not sure why I haven't come to look for this before but today I am righting that wrong. What a neat area and the colours were so vibrant in here this afternoon. It feels great to sign off another of these older caches that always took you somewhere special. TFTC # 17,345
Day 8 of three weeks winter motorhoming in the upper half of the South Island. In Reefton today. Completed the local Adventure Lab, then found another 11 caches during the rest of the day. Made hard work of locating this one. The coords on my iPhone had me miles away! In the end the hint led me to it, but at GZ my coords were showing it to be 22m away! 4092. TFTC.
Found by Hawkins harem of Busypaws, coconut3, geomum and me. Nice walk but a bit steep in places.
A nice stroll to stretch the legs at the end of our caching day. Not sure the T rating is a 1.5 the trek up and down on the way is worth a 2 or more! Signed with team name Hawkes Harem. TFTc.
On a road trip round Reefton with busy paws, lyttteltonwitch and Geomum007 we are signing logs as Hawks Harem. Thanks for the cache Baldcat.
Nice walk but not T1.5!! However, pleasant spot and quick find. Log signed Hawks harem. TFTH
I visited this place a few years ago, and got to see the nearby crushing battery running.
Cheers and thanks for bringing me back here,

Great spot to visit, easy walk access nice and dry notebook. Added a pinecone to the cache
Found with Gpetone and the other members on the HVTC Christmas Trip while on a vist to the Black Point Museum. A really interesting place with many thought provoking items. Seeing the stamper is a ear shattering must TFTC
After looking at the working stamping plant with a group of the Hutt Valley Tramping club, I and Patandjohn diverted here for a quick find. Great to see cache is in perfect condition.

Vanmorgen wezen zoeken, was erg koud, maar uiteindelijk gevonden samen met Kakariki. TFTC
Wow took some effort to retrieve, only to find it absolutely soaking wet with water in box and bag and logbook complete mush! Have replaced and double bagged logbook and put small box inside your cache to prevent it from happening again!
Wow....this cache has been here for soooo long!
We started at the track entrance and did the short loop ....I went to find the cache...easy thanks!
Then we went towards the Stamper Battery Shed and were so lucky to be given some history plus a demo of it working by an enthusiastic volunteer!.
Favourite !

#15005. Enjoyed the short loop track and the opportunity to view some relics. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalker on our week long post Christmas trip to Reefton and the West Coast. Day 2: Reefton and environs.
After finding the cache at the start of the track, we headed off to this one. Probably not the most energy efficient way to go as after steadily climbing, we had to go downhill again to get to GZ. Using the hint, cache didn't take long to find, but a bit of effort to extract using our walking poles as it had been pushed quite a way in.
Great to find an older cache. We then walked out via the museum. Thanks for bringing me here and TFTC.

Quick find once i found the correct pipe, now back up the hill to continue my loop ride on the MTB. TFTC
This took a wee while, the hint gave it away in the end. No bush bashing needed. A great little loop, 6 hours in nice shade for the most part, and 14 caches to find. Cheers
Found on a Waitangi Weekend to, from and around Reefton
Thanks to all the CO's for their hides.

I just love that there's stuff like this to explore in New Zealand. No clasps left on container but contents ok
Today we desided to visit the old mines. For me it is something, what I don't know from Switzerland. We seared this box in the rain. Thanks for leading us through an unknowed landscape and an old history
Today we make a walk to the old mines.
It was wonderful to visit the old mines and batterys because we dont know from Switzerland.
Some boxes we found fast, some took more time to found.
Very thanks from Switzerland

Nice found while walking The Murray creek track. We made a nice side trip for this cache. Nice locality! TFTC!
Could really use a new plastic bag and/or box as log is a bit wet. Left trout lure. Nice stroll.
We decided to look for this cache while in the area checking the signage to plan our next days walk. The cache was quite some distance from our GZ but the hint made up for it. Thank you kanemegan.
Some recon for tomorrow when the Murray Loop Track is planned. Why not look for a cache as well. The GPS wanted to take us to a far more interesting place (for the onlookers that would be) than where we made the find. Thank you Kanemegan for placing this cache.
We followed GPS and then went for the hint. So far off but at least we explored a little more around. Cool area.
Should have tead the hint first, it would have saved a few scratches from blackberry bushes [|)] TFTC

A well looked after bit of history here. Nice walk and the cache was an easy find. sadly saturated though so log has been replaced. tftc
Had an interesting talk to a gentleman who helps mantain the area. He had wondered what people were doing wandering back and forth. Log very wet need replacing in dry bag. TFTC
Quick easy find. Had gone to see this battery in action before I knew about geocaching and it was nice to come back. Did the little loop walk around the back. TFTC
A quick wander up to GZ. The cache was well jammed in so took a bit of pulling to get it free.
A quick easy find after a short walk, although the log was wet. It would be interesting to see the battery working. TFTC
A quick find in the pouring rain added to the ambience of caching in Reefton. TFTC
Museum closed until Labour Day so no one around when we went for our walk up the track. Walked past GZ but on looking back spotted the cache. Nice one. TFTC, Biggles.
Interesting area but a shame all that history slowly rusting and rotting away. Soon found the cache. SL TFTC
Found cache after a superb day wander, we went upto the Ajax Battery and then down via Chandlers Mine, took about 4 hours return for the loop. A great day out!! TFTC, nice chatting to a local guy who works at the local museum, he passed on some local knowledge which is always nice and helpful.
A great spot, took some good video of the crusher in operation and an interesting hour in the museum.
did not find defenitely have to come back and retrieve my dignity. but awesome site, thanks for the cache,
Parked as recommended, by the crusher, following the walking track up the river to the cache. An easy find. On the way back, the assistant was opening up the rock crusher shed, so we stopped and had a long and interesting chat about the history. SL. TFTC.
Interesting old mine. One of the places we would miss without geocaching. Weak GPS signal, but found easily with the hint.
