We went here again today and still no sign of the cache. This one hasn't been found since September 2010. Maybe this one needs to be put to rest.

DNF - We had a good look for this one in the obvious location according to the hint but couldn't find it on this lovely day for a walk in the forest. First time for us to this location so it was an enjoyable walk from the campsite to here and then up to the Artists Cascades where we sat in a cooling shower of rain. Thanks for the cache HawMorFords.

Went looking for this one with Stairman1 but no geodog this weekend. Sad Searched high and low but came up with nothing. We didn't read the clues properly before we left but doubt it would have helped us anyway. Maybe this one has been washed away? Had some bloodsucking hitchikers on our feet on the way back.

This was a beautiful walk. Have been here many times before we discovered caching. We searched for over an hour in every tree root structure that we could find. We did hear and see some bats while we were there. We picked up some bloodsucking hitchhikers on the way back to the car.

No luck with this one but a very nice walk and also stopped for a swim then had a snake shoot between my wife's feet on the track just before camp. She didnt see it but I was a couple of metres behind and saw it slide down the bank close call for new OZ-Kiwi's. Keen for a few more trips in the bush thanks for this one cheers Klaymen

LATE night walk from the camp sight with a muggle friend who was curious about the sport. Spiders building their webs accross the track provided some entertainment as well as a glowing mushroom but we had to be quick as rain was on it's way. James (muggle) found it after I had searched and missed it by a couple of inches as it was tucked away quiet niceley. He was so stoked that he had a find and can see why we do it. About 1km from camp on our way back the rain came down in a big way DOH! There was no sign of the Mills Dog TB though. SL. Out: Army man In: Wombat TFTC Smile

Somehow I missed this on my previous attempt.
Today I walked straight up to it and found it instantly - at around 8:15am.
I had just walked down from "#1 - the falls" - a very pleasant 2 hour walk.
Now it was time to head back to camp for breakfast.

Thanks to HawMorFords for the cache

Thought I might sneak through Camping Area 3, which has been closed from January to 1 August, but I could hear heavy equipment at work so I headed back to start at the day use area. What's a couple of km between friends...? A lovely walk, only two other walkers and a camper/ing van in the park today I think. Found cache after I rechecked the hint and my counting. TFTC HawMorFords.

Boy, are there a lot of roots to search in or what?? GPSr took a long time to settle resulting in a lot of pointless searching-but logic took over abd cache was soon found-not to- many bats visible today.

It was a great walk up to the gold mine. Neat spot! Thanks for the hunt.

Well, this one kept us looking for a while, but eventually we found it. Really enjoyed the walk and the hunt. A little more difficult than a 1.5 star I think. Thanks!

While returning from the Mt Allan walk along the newly constructed walking track, I noticed that the new track passes within 100m of this cache, so I went cross country straight to the cache!
I looked around a bit here and there but didn't have the cache notes with me and it was getting late, so I abandoned my search - something to find on my next visit!
Thanks HMF

Found this one about a month ago, only just getting around to logging it now. Very enjoyable trek from the camping grounds, and the cave was interesting. Until one of our friends decided to throw a rock into it, but hey.

There was probably about a dozen of us all up, and we had to sit around near the site, 'taking a break for lunch' for about 45 minutes while we waited for a few muggles to leave. The newbie cachers we went with thought it was a great idea, and we all signed the log. Thoroughly enjoyed it Smile

Cache replaced. It is now a small plastic container located in the roots of the large tree that overhangs the path - about 5 metres back from the steps.

Good to go again.

aaaaarghhhhhh!

If Cap'n Bloodhound can't find it, chances are it ain't there - also, given that this cache has been found by more Muggles than Cachers, it's a fair bet that someone might have nicked it!

We'll take it offline for the moment until we are there camping again - probably June Holidays.

Absouletly worth the walk even if the booty had definatley dissapeared. Sorry we couldn't replace cache, but having to carry the old pirate and his Galley wench was unable to carry any extra.Sad

3.11pm - Fantastic walk. Loved this one! GPS was useless to us. Could get no satellite fix. But we stayed to the path and found the cache exactly as described. So have a number of muggles. At least half a dozen entries since February. Not sure how you can "accidentally" stumble upon this. There was food in the cache which we removed for disposal. Unfortunately Mills Dog TB was not in the cache! Left some aliens and stickers.
Thanks for a lovely adventure.

10.30 am What a glorious walk for a Saturday morning. Had two muggle friends with us (Kirsty & Phil). We had tried this cache previously but like previous entries we had gone around in circles bush bashing. This time did the whole circuit walk and enjoyed it thoroughly. No TB in cache. TNLN. TFTC.

Had a time dead line (Geo Friend left in hot car). GPS told me that cache was only 520 m from carpark. Decided to head cross-country and after spending 15mins trying to navigate a path through the lantana and sleep hills, decided that following the path was definately the best option. No materr how far down the path I went the cache always seemed to be 500ish metres to my left. Definately walking in circles, but decided to stick it out. Soon had cashe in hand. Cool spot! Was a nice easy flat work in the end. Cache was a nice way to finish off the Dirty Weekend's Yabba Creek 4WD tour.

An easy find after trudging through the forest. The ranger suggested we take the alternative route of 1.1km but it was too close to lunchtime for us. Kenilworth Pub serves a great counter lunch.
Alas no bats or ALFRED in the middle of the day but the cache was still there well disguised.

Up from Toowoomba for the weekend. Nice easy walk to this one. Brought the Father-in-Law along to show him what geocaching is all about - loves it.

Didn't take anything but left Peter Pan TB.

nice stroll - would have been alot quicker if we could have gone in a straight line...after a couple of km's we where not really any closer than we were from the car park (day use area) - thankfully it was a pleasant walk...lovely spot actually.
Found cache with no difficulty and did a TB swap...
Hot Dog in (in case someone needs a snack after their walk)

Nice walk to the cave, after getting there I selected a nice dry place on top of a log to put my back, then took out the travel bug (Kiwi paints the world) that I was going to put into the cache and off I went to search for the treasure. Because of the overhead canopy it was difficult to get a GPS reading. I kept walking backwards and forward past my backpack looking for the cache, you guested it, my backpack was sitting on top of the cache. (As Geowife now likes to point out). Ha Ha

Left Travel Bug (Kiwi paints the world)

Found it at 15:10. Thanks for putting these caches in place just in time for our planned camping trip. Good walk to the gold mine, very little water about in the creek. Took level, left tennis ball and Topsy the travel but. I know it is not Vanuatu, but at least she is having a look around the country before going overseas.
