That's all she wrote, team. Due to the cache being destroyed and myself no longer being in a position to maintain it, I'm going to archive it. Thanks to all who visited and left a note and I hope you all enjoyed the location - I have certainly enjoyed the comments from visitors overs the years.

It would appear that a person/s unknown liked the cache container more than it was needed by the cache itself so until I can find another I'm temporarily disabling it. I'm also in the process of being posted to a new location and may not be able to maintain the cache as it is, so this may indeed be the end of The Beginnings of Power.
Stopped off today, planning to drop off a TB that wanted to visit ski-fields... however, on spotting the current container (TB's missing), I decided it wasn't really suitable! Perhaps the next cacher visiting here should bring a new cache box, as otherwise this risks getting picked up as trash. Good spot though! TFTC.
Had a few possibles to search but all well hidden from the car park and road, and a stunning view of the mountain to keep us distracted. Found with the help of the previous logs. Thanks for the excuse to admire the view !
Great views, as long as warmly wrapped. Took car; left little green man. Whole cache quite damp.
cache container yeah right Definitely needs a new container, very soggy. I put items in a plastic bag and put them back in the tui box.Great spot for a cache on a fine day TFTC

We spent great four weeks caching in NZ. NZ nature and the caches are amazing. Thanks for all the caches, the great adventure and greetings from Czech Republic.
We found this cache with Standa.Sefl during our holiday in New Zealand. New Zealand has very nice nature, thanks for all nice places. Greetings from Czech republic.
Who'd have known, you wouldn't bother to stop normally. Thanks or the interesting info about this area. Cheers
Had to wait until a campervan to move before suspiciously going behind a flax bush.
Out: TB.
Cheers for the cache.

Easy find even if the ground was slippery after the rain. Found on the way to Taupo.
25/01/2010 10:56 Found: Third of the day. Another quick find. Enjoyed the views out toward the mountains. I was back here later in the day, stopped while the rain settled down a bit. Glad I wasn't trying to cache on the way north!
Thanks for the cache, StEligius&Co

Found with Little Blue Hen en route to Turangi. Had to wait for photo taking muggles to depart and then decided which was best location (she did) while I waited for Gps to settle. TFTC SL
Unfortunatly GZ has apparently recently been used as something else... So, no further efforts made to dug deeper into the bushes. Pitty, but any how, thanks for having us stop at an interesting place with a great view.
1665 Fewer muggles this time so was able to grab the cache quite quickly return to van to watch dust storm. TFTC
I remember attempting this a while ago, can't remember whether it was this cache, or an older one. Anyway, a nice spot for a stop and view of Ruapehu. Cheers Gav [4804]
Windy today. Coin not in it and doesnt seem logged out. Swapped lots of goodies to fill it up.
Intended to TNLN but found a coin on the ground after I had replaced the cache so took it with me. Bouncing coins and TB through cache but not stopping.
Appropriate container for the area! 100% a Jr B find this one. While the rest of us were taking in the views. TFTC.
Found with my sister on a trip back from Auckland. Easy quick find on a fantastic day. Took happy caching GC.
As I had a long way to go I didn't spend much time looking however. The only thing I found under the clue was an old car battery.
Found as part of my three week caching trip from Wellington to Auckland - # 440. Thanks.
Found on our way to Wiaberia to show K where S grew up and show her the NZ army museum. Arte et Marte Boys
A quick find early this afternoon on the way north. You don't see many containers this size these days, and they certainly protect their contents well. Great view of the mountains, it would be interesting to see the aqueduct with a decent amount of water in it. Signed log, TFTC
A quick drive-by on the way back after climbing Tahurangi on Ruapehu. Boy there's a lot of snow up there for this time of year!
[ A cold morning at 0800 NZDT after a few minutes of searching between traffic ( not a great deal).

took a while to get this one, because of so many muggles dropping by. Took out a coin, headphones & a string ball. Put in a petrock - a dog, a toy hedgehog & a bracelet.
Nice view, although the volcanoes were in the clouds. Didn't stay long as it was zere degrees Celsius outside.
Found with Imgettingannoyed during our 3 n half week NZ mega cache mission!!

Looked behind the flax bush that the GPS was pointing at and could see where a cache should be but couldn't find it.
Took us some time to find it. During logging a bunch of muggels arrived and under stealth of parking our 4wd we put it back to its place. Nice views.

Had no real intention to go cache hunting today, but still had GPS loaded with coordinates with me. So I gave it about a 30 second look before deciding the assorted rubbish and unpleasant odors on this very hot day was more than I was willing to wade through. I'm sure it's an easy find though!
7 pm on a hot day.
Had to wait out muggles cooling an overheated car - 35 mins, before returning cache. But nice view and perfect day.
