Hi there Reviewer,
RE: The cache "First Landing"
Following up on my "Needs Maintenance" log. It is now well over 28 days old and there has been no reaction from the CO.
Could you please temporarily disable the cache to prevent it from showing up in search lists?
Regards

Hi there Mr Walker.
This is the 3rd of 7 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here at around 12:18:00 PM, but we just couldn't locate your cache so here's a DNF from us.

CPwanderer, GoodLook and I headed off for a weekend in Port Lincoln via an overnight stop in Whyalla
Our weekend was unexpectedly extended by a day due to illness and so my tally at the end of the 'weekend' was 168 cache finds
Sadly this was marred by a massive 28 DNFs
Port Lincoln, despite being virgin caching territory for all 3 of us, did not provide us with the pleasure that we had anticipated
So many of the caches were bison tubes and those that we did find, quite often were in places where a larger cache could have been hidden The other issue was the lack of maintenance on many caches
There are people trying their best to maintain the 'wheres wolly' cache hides however their resources are stretched thinly..... so if you are heading over, please pack heaps of cache maintenance containers, bags and log books and help out where you can. [^]
That being said, the trip was still a blast and some great caches were found and great views were seen!
I can only imagine what it was like sailing the seas in small wooden boats! Brave people, those sailors! [^]

Fairly quickly located!!! Lovely spot!! Lots of wooden boat activity nearby!!
This was one of the caches found on a three day odyssey on the Eyre Peninsula! Myself, GoodLook and locuscache had never cached south of the Cowell/Cleve area so we had high hopes of some great caching. We worked our way down through Port Neil and Tumby Bay and grabbed those along the highway plus a few a little further afield.
Our time in and around Port Lincoln was frustrating. Lots very small micros, lots of very rusty tins and more dnfs than ive ever had in a day before this. We were very fortunate that local cacher , Roaming Wendy joined as. Her expert knowledge of the town certainly helped. A medical issue had us stay a third day. This worked out very well as we could do some relaxed caching on our way home.
A special thanks to Roaming wendy for her help and to those who hid caches in the area … particularly the Geo-Ambos, Wheres Wolly and Viper231. Special thanks also to my “mildly obsessive” caching buddies on this trip …………………………… amazing fun!!

Found whilst on a road trip with CPwanderer and Locus Cache, with the aim of the weekend to cache in and around Port Lincoln - fresh territory for us all. We certainly had a great time, however with a DNF rate of about 40% [:(!], it was tough going! We did however thoroughly enjoy the beautiful locations and scenery.
After joking all day on the Sunday we should spend another night in Pt Lincoln, circumstances presented that meant we needed to extend our time away! We took it slowly on the way home which enabled us to once again visit some terrific places
Thanks for the cache

Staying in Tumby Bay for a few days we set off finding the caches around here cleaning up a lot of unfounds from previous trips, we eventually got to this one after doing the one at the boat ramp, it was so interesting going up the steps and checking out the old boat here, right next to it is a skeleton of a ship that the old guy here said they don't know what they are doing with it but i reckon it looks so cool the way it is, the old guy took us down to the other boats that are under renovation telling us the history of the different boats and where they were from etc, that part was super cool. cache was soon found once we finally peeled ourselves away from the boats. TFTC
It was very hard it find, was a nice little adventure looking at the first landing
Took my geo-godchildren out for a hunt after looking through car yards all morning as they were so good all morning! Taught Master 8 to use the handheld GPS and he directed me whilst I drove around to find caches that had swapables in them. He was amazing at directions (much better than me)! We parked at the boat ramp and did part of the trail. They loved seeing all the little boats on the beach and climbing the old ship at the museum. Thanks for the cache!
We found it Brett slipped down and got mud on his pants Zach got dirty shoes Harry skidded down the hill on his bottom....Mel found it
A great place to visit and read all the history of the war boats. Nice hide took TB and left a TB. TFTC
Took the decent rather than ascent approach and spotted it. Top spot Even if its cool and breezy today. Have always meant to stop in here for a look, I'll have to bring the family next time and have a proper look around. Tftc!
Lovely evening but just about got eaten alive by ants at GZ. After hopping and jumping around for a while we found it. Then kids a bit disappointed because no appealing trinkets but we left a couple of nice things for the next little geocachers to find!!

Another perfect spring day for a drive around town while in Port Lincoln for a few days.
Hardly any muggles around and mostly good quick finds.
The flowers are beimg trampled here as it is a stretch if you stay off them.
Thanks for the cache Mr Walker,

A very interesting place on my stroll around parts of Plincoln this morning
Quite amazing to see fresh water flowing out of the well.
After a bit of a sticky beak around the museum I headed back to GZ.
Tough find !!
But eventually I spied a tell-tale geotrail that led me to the well hidden cache

Stopped to read the information here and to bide our time until the council muggle had finished mowing the lawns.
After making a quick find of the cache we then wandered the short distance to the spring. Don't think we've ever seen one so close to salt water before.
Thanks a top spot to stop at.

Bit of a walk up and then down and almost fell right on it. Interesting history. Tftc, tnln. 11/06/2014 4:54 pm Find #664
With so many newish cache in Pt Lincoln, and not enough time to find them all, we decided to go to some of the older ones....
Parked in the museum carpark and wandered around a bit before heading over to the cache.
A nice spot, and thanks for bringing us to this iconic spot.

Fun, easy find. Kids loved the trinkets & added a couple of their own finds from our walk here.
We visited the area for a few days and collected a few caches as well as many memories of wonderful scenery. This cache was found after dark while walking the Parnkalla Trail with 2 non cachers. They may yet become cachers! Thanks Mr Walker for placing it and for the history of the spot.
Staying at the Port Lincoln caravan park, while caching in the area.
The cache was found quickly, but only 3 of the 4 trackables noted, were in the cache.
We took the 3 trackables to move them on. The Dolphin GC was not in the cache.
Many thanks for the hunt today, Mr Walker.

Found today on our way home. Very interesting location to finally stop at after all these years driving past. Dropped a few TB's to continue their journey. TFTC
Am in Port Lincoln for a couple of days of caching. Rode along the coast out to the airport and stopped to log this cache on the way. Thanks for the cache Mr Walker.
Quick find on our trip from Perth to Adelaide. Decent sized container with only a log book!? Restocked with swappables. TFTH
was away for the weekend, what else is there to do but shout out to the locals and go a caching
apolagies for the late log, have been busy on the farm and with life

Called in on a cache maintenance trip and replaced this cache. New container and new book, travel bug listed is not in cache.
A family of earwigs have made the cache their local hangout-watch out for their nippers! Unfortunately logbook too wet to write on. Tried to dry it out in the sun but not much success. Thanks for the cache!
First CRASH landing... Heehee! Cache very damaged and waterlogged. Needs replacing.
Didn't find the cache right away due to a fair amount of wildflower growth -- it will be interesting to see if its not as bad in summer. signed a Mush log -- had to write big using side of texter. (sorry for the late log, I am notorious for late logging, but I can prove I was there if you require it)
In the area for a few days and needed to find a few caches for August. I found this one ok but the cache and everything in it is trashed. The container has a broken lid and the cache was half full of water. I cleaned it out and replaced the cache upside down to keep water out but didnt have a spare container or log. A great spot though, wonderful views across the bay with a nice seat close enough to sit and consider the world..
Slip sliding away, on the wet grass it was near impossible to walk up the slope and it may well have ended badly.. but didnt. Ive had the great pleasure of meeting our Mr Walker and will try to get around to every cache he ever placed.
Nice hid, but unable to sign log, container has damage and was full of water.
We are camping at Louth Bay & have chosen to do a day of caching in Port Lincoln.
It was a mixed day of caching, some finds & a couple of DNFs. Noticed Ministro commented on a few.
This was one we did find today.
Thanks Mr Walker
