Day 4 of a 6 day stay on the island with the intentions of finding all the caches on the island, we succeeded finding all of them with no DNFs the stay was fantastic even though we were in a heatwave while staying here, luckily we had an air conditioned accommodation, while here we saw lots of Kangaroos, Wallabies, Goannas, Seals and lots of different species of birds, according to Mrs 3LGs fitbit we walked around 60 kilometres during the 6 days here ,Cache was still showing on my GPS and cache is still there so signed the log book, just be careful of the cactus in the area.
Tftc it was an interesting location. Not under an acicia tree, it might have been at one point or another but not anymore.
Like the others say, it's mouldy. The logbook is also FULL!

Found the cache down the hill and decided to proceed up here.
Cache was found quickly despite the bush in the hint not being identifiable.
Cache is in desperate need of maintenance and log was unsignable (photo will be attached)... CO or a friendly cacher can you bring a new container and log.
Thanks nonetheless mrpieman

Easy and clear find. Log very wet but signable. Beautiful view, saw a pelican on the jetty. Tftc!
Very wet and needs some TLC. Sorry we couldn't help though I did wipe dry bag to try and keep log in ok condition.
This was an afternoon search not far from our holiday accommodation while on holidays with OrangeMaple. Believe we saw fellow cacher arrive just before us. Lovely bay. Thankyou.

Found whilst on holiday with Louie's Pack. stayed close by and on a sunny and not so cold afternoon ventured out for this discovery. In need of some TLC as it's very wet. We did our best but being on holidays we didn't have our kits with us.
Another great weekend with my geofamily, plenty of miles and smiles with a few geocaches found along the way.
Another cache find in this beautiful area, thanks mrpieman.

One of many fantastic caches found on a trip to Kangaroo Island.
I had an awesome time, visiting the island with some great friends.

What a great day! Some very generous people allowed me to accompany them and undertake my first trip to Kangaroo Island.
I picked up sushilord and then we caught the ferry to KI where Moneydork and Tounga met us and the caching (and photo taking) day started.
At the end of the day, I had 26 cache finds and 1 event attended
We even managed a group FTF on a cache that had waited some weeks for our arrival
BBB this isn't! [^]
Found by Moneydork and signed by me after I got down the slope in one piece and without being stabbed by BBB plants

A little sprinkle on our heads while coming across from Picnic on the Beach. TFTC
The first find on our night walk the night sky was absolutely stunning, I just wish my phone could take a photo of the stars
Easy find on our last day on KI. Been everywhere, seen almost everything, and done a few caches as well. Love this place.
Found on easter weekend with the Mrs after a nice drive along the beach! Amazing weather today!!
Visited this Cache together with Apfelsine during our Holidays in Australia.
Found it after a short stroll on the beach.
Thanks for this hide from Germany!

Easy, great little cache - 2nd one on my first day of geocaching. Will find more and find some more exciting things to put in - left a large pretty shell and a small bag of sweets
This was a disappointing hunt, the GPSr was all over the place due to heavy cloud cover.
I wandered around an approximate GZ, managed to slip on some rocks, got stabbed in the foot by a sharp stick, and a local bloke driving past in a ute looked at me like I was committing a terrible crime!
By now, my missus was getting stroppy in the car waiting for me, so I left empty handed.
I must come back to KI and clean up a few of the DNF's and caches I didn't have time to look for.

We loved emu bay... Mostly for the big birds with strange beaks... Are they Pelicans or storks? I'm not an ornithologist.
The cache... Relatively easy, but there is so much rubbish around. Needs a CITO here.
--
Lilousof and Redgremlin on a geocaching tour down-under... Or maybe it's a holiday... Stop six ... Kangaroo Island... Beautiful place - mission: kangaroos, koalas and beautiful scenery with beautiful caches
Thanks to all the cache hiders that made this trip memorable.

Travelling through the southern parts of Australia we spent some days at Kangaroo Island and looked for this nice cache. TFTC Die Waldelfen from Germany
Nice location! Acacia tree is grey and possibly dead now. Watch out for bees nearby this time of year.

A quick find and then we sat on the bench near the jetty and enjoyed the beautiful beach here. Our photo taken here will be our facebook entry for today as the best place we visited. Thanks.
Tomorrow we must leave Kangaroo-Island and today we have a little bit time to log this cache.

First ever geocache find. Great spot for a first find. With Sharktank and Starkastano and 3 other newbies.
Beautiful spot. Much like Coffin bay on The Eyre peninsula. Thanks mrpieman from IlludiumPU36.
Nice and easy find at this great scenic spot. Heaps of pelicans around waiting for some fish I guess. Met some friendly locals too, they knew about the cache as they had found it by accident a while ago. We had a nice chat and took off for lunch. TFTC mrpieman.
On the road again, using caching to guide us to the sites as we explore the state on our way to the Murray bridge mega. What a beautiful spot, Pelicans lining up for feeding, water so blue, thanks for bringing us here. AND we picked up 3 travellers to take with us. Tftc
After watching the pelicans I found this box easily.
Thank you for the cache and greeting from Team Ritter Rost (Germany)

Good hide in lovely area - 3 pelicans were watching us! Had a stroll on the jetty and took photos of our watchers! Came across a group of at least 40 ibises near a large lake/lagoon? when driving further on a road not far away.
TFTC mrpieman and bringing us to lovely Emu Bay - much appreciated.

We are visiting Kangaroo Island with caravanning friends who are not cachers. However, they seem to be interested so when a cache comes up we are able to search for it with some help. Thank you mrpieman for placing one here. It was our second find today and for some of the group their second ever cache. Found at 12.15 pm, TNLNSL.
Quick find on a beautiful walk this morning. First cache on KI. TFTC and the wonderful views!
Found.

After jhisch took a (very) short swim in the cold water, we moved on to find this cache. A few guys nearby were just moving a boat into the sea, but they ignored us.

Cache has received some TLC and is as good as new with several new trinkets added as well. Tks for the maintenance advice and tks to my KI sis for doing it for me
Time was moving on and I was thinking of starting to head back to our camp at Penneshaw when Mrs.R asked - "Are we going to Emu Bay?" Heck, why not!! A nice spot to visit too. The cache is wet, the new log book is damp but the old log book is soaked. We placed each log book in a fresh separate zip lock bag but the cache really needs to be dried out properly. TFTC.

Found on a day exploring Kangaroo Island, log was wet as per previous logs and needs a little TLC. Thanks for the cache.
We came up to Emu Cove this morning for a look around and I took the chance to grab this one. Struggled for a while but when I saw that there'd been over 150 finds and no DNFs I knew it couldn't be that hard. Widened my search and made the find. A lot of water inside but I signed the log after pouring it out. Needs urgent maintenance though.
Thanks!

Nice easy walk from the car for this one. The container has been leaking and a new book will be needed soon. TNLN TFTC
Dropped a TB we've been carrying around the countryside. Thanks for the cache.
Came to KI this morning on the Sea Link, a bit rough, raining but arrived safely then drove here for a few days. TFTC. Took some photos of the lazy pelicans, they seem long bigger in size than the ones from near the Murray River.
Had a picnic with friends, children played, and then went for a walk. Easy find set in a lovely bay . Took travel bug. TFTC.
A quick easy find for my cache of the day (and my first Kangaroo Island cache) while staying nearby at my uncle and aunties that run a holiday home. Next morning my aunty says she was dreaming all night about searching for caches!
Thanks!
Thanks!
We like a walk with a great view. We have had a great time on KI. Sorry for the late log. The internet was not working after the Cygnet river fires and we were on the road. TFTC
Friends in Adelaide told us to visit Emu Bay, so we did. Lovely beach. Enjoyed the area. TFTC
