End of an Era for me
Thanks to those who were supportive and had the right attitude for what Geocaching is ultimately about
I had a lot of fun back then with the kids, just no time anymore with other interests and a business to run
Cheers

Cache needs attention. Log book is damp, mouldy, and cannot be written in. It is an excellent location.

23-Feb-13
Glad to see this is still here but it is desperately in need of maintenance. When I tried to sign the log it turned to mush. The log is mouldy and very damp. Took photo with my NZ MEGA name bags to prove we were there.

11-Nov-12
Container isn't keeping the water out, and the log is wet.

quick easy find, TFTC

A lovely wee walk. TFTC

12-Mar-11
Going through my notes found 2 caches from quite a while ago that I hadn't logged. Remember these were a real highlight with good weather and a great quiet area and good walk.

I appreciated the good hint as GPS was not playing ball with me at this area.

Found on a corker of a day! We've been meaning to find this cache for a couple years. A pair of workers were clearing the trail - nice for us. We took Option 1 on a Saturday. No problems. Water fall was but a dribble. Didn't get wet at any point. We went on to Supplejack Lookout. Great afternoon. TFTC

24-Jan-10
Came down a wet and slippery Rimu trail on the MTB this morning which is always a recipe for fun (or disaster...it's a fine line between the two sometimes!!). I had no intention of Geocaching but said to my Bro (Mr Navfam) "Isn't there a cache somewhere around here". Turns out he had found this cache a few weeks back but I had a fair idea where this spot was anyway so I led the way to GZ and located the cache without problem. I ride the trails in this area frequently, but don't often stop to really admire the surroundings. So thanks for making me stop at this magic spot.

a lot of track maintainance being done round here at the moment. tftc

11-Jul-09
Slogged up to the Supplejack Lookout and spotted the turnoff to the Sharland's Creek Trail. Decided to do this as well on the way back down. GPS a bit disoriented ar GZ but a bit of a think about the clues led to the cache fairly quickly. Walked on up to the top track entrance and walked back down the road to the car at the lower entrance. No problems here today. TFTC, Biggles.

08-Jul-09
It should also be noted that the road is only open at weekends at the moment due to logging activity.

02-Feb-09
A walk in the bush was just what the doctor ordered today so set off from the lower end but had to turn back with all the poor trees that were overcome by the storm. A short but nice walk from the upper end though. TFTC (372)

Lovely day to do this cache. Like Chasemaster we tried to go on to Supplejack - climbed over a couple of fallen trees but then stopped by one big one and decided it was not worth carrying on. TNLN TFTC

14-Sep-08
finaly some fine weather decided to take the family and the dog for a walk in the bush. The dog found it easy going and smiled all the way whilst we struggled with all the trees that had fallen onto the track. Found cache signed log and moved onto the suplejack cache but had to turn back as the track disapaired under the fallen trees and was to dangerous for the young ones to continue, even zeek the dog was no longer smiling

25-May-08
Drove up to the top access point so just a short walk to the cache. It really is the "Lost World" certainly didn't know this was here, and only a stones throw from the road. Headed from here up to the Suplejack Lookout. TFTC.

06-Feb-08
Nice walk in the native bush, if only we knew what we were in for, for the rest of the day (the 2 at the top)GPS coverage non exsistant but an easy find with the clue. TFTC

306. Had to come see what gets Eddie so excited, and we weren't disappointed. Nice and cool on a hot late-spring afternoon, and an unexpected spot of bush amongst the scarred exotic landscape. TNLNSL, Thanks for bringing us here.
