As I can not find a suitable replacement hiding spot, I am arching this cache.

03-Jan-09
Having seen the recent DNF I today walked the 600m to GZ to check on the cache. The whole area seems to have had a clean up and a lot of trees removed, the area that used to be GZ is now barren and cacheless. I will look at replacing soon.

No luck for us today. Did the maths and got to what we believe is the cache site (based on the picture by richlink). We had a quick look in all the most likely spots to no avail. We were just about to start a systematic search when we noticed a muggle from nearby houses watching us very, very closely and demonstrating a concerned manner. So we nonchalantly wandered back to geomobile and slowly left the area. Given the ease with which other cachers have reported finding the cache, we just wonder if the cache has been disturbed, as it is apparent there has been a great deal of clearing activity in the area in recent months. Maybe we were just having a bad day ...... anyway, we'll be back at another time.

TFTH Keeper of Time.
PS - As a consolation prize we adjourned to a local public house for a very pleasant meal – recommend the one named after the State!

Located on a day visit to Woodend. Although the sun was out, the wind was very chilly so it was a very quick dash to GZ.

Found this cache while on a visit to Woodend. Did this one later in the day so it was starting to get really cold, and we were glad it was a quickie. Liked the time-keeper, thanks for showing us that. TNLN TFTC.

Found this one at 9:10 while on my way to our monthly bushwalk at Hepburn Springs. A nice little heart-starter to commence proceedings for the day Wink.

On a cold and rainy day with the Macedon Ranges shrouded in snow near the summit we ventured out during a moment of blue sky and sunshine to secure a few caches.
The rain held off during the course of the cache and we completed it without fuss.

Been caching past here a couple of times but this one seemed to have missed out until now. The info was found easily enough, and fortunately one hard to decipher digit at point 2 was not needed. Managed to approach gz from the correct side and even espied the hide as I was walking past it! Thanks to Keeper of Time for this good first one of a number of good caches.

Having found so many of the keeper of time caches in the last few days (do you live near here?) we were delighted to find the first of them- so appropriate. We found the cache rather exposed to the elements (possibly the result of the high winds in the last few days) so left it covered much more appropriately. We left the plane TB as it wants to have photos taken near planes- and it is highly unlikely that we will manage to be able to assist this one, so we thought to put it in this high flying cache was a good choice. WE took the koala keyring , which we will pass on to a fellow cacher to leave in NZ when she visits there later this year. Loved the fact that the GPS totally died at point 2 (very tricky) and then we chose wrong re what side of the track to go initially. Quite a challenge. TFTC

After starting my search on the wrong side of the tracks, i discovered the cache without any problems. There are some beautiful orchids and lillies in thsi woodland surrounding the tracks... very cool! TFTC TNLN

We had to wait awhile for the showers to move on before we set off on this one. We soon had the required info and set off laong the track. A small typo on the GZ coordinates took us straight to an old people's home but we soon had this corrected and had the cache in hand.

Waypoint two had us under surveilance by someone who looked like he wanted to be where we were? I'm sure a fellow cacher would have come straight up to us so it was a bit mystifying. Anyway did what was required and the cache was soon found.
Thanks again

I (incorrectly) assumed that this cache would take us on a bit more of a tour of the town. I guess that was because it is alone in the town and there are several other interesting structures here.
The two waypoint were good spots (I would never have guessed the second), and an easy find at GZ.
Thanks, Robmc.

G'day Keeper of Time,

We found your cache today at 4:30pm as the fourteenth of twenty three on our "Pick up where we left off from the Christmas Event Cache" Tour. It's a long time since we visited Woodend (Probably since the freeway bypass went in). A nice easy multi. Thanks for our 7th Keeper of Time cache.

Kind Regards,

D & S B-A

Found by Bob at 1820

This was another cache I hadn't intended to do today. I'd been lead astray by my TomTom, and come down the north side of Mt Macedon after the Christmas BBQ event, which put me near Woodend. After getting some fuel, I checked out this cache and was surprised it was a multi (I thought it was "Time for a View" I was doing - I don't get out much Sad), but proceeded anyway and quickly did the 1st 2 wps (a very intriguing structure, the one at the 2nd wp!) and then found a closeup access point for GZ. The cache was an easy find thank goodness - the groundcover around there would make searching difficult.

Thanks again Keeper of Time

The monuments at both locations were quite interesting, and I think the locals have invented a new road between WPT 2 and GZ. The magpies were guarding it fiercely, but I managed to log it unscathed!

Thankyou,

Found by Mary & David at 1840. Very interesting. We really like caches with historical plaques. The broom is flowering everywhere just now, creating swathes of yellow. Took corkscrew, left Papermate Gel Pen. Our thanks once more to Keeper of Time.

Found the cache sometim e this afternoon. Sorry we have no idea what time because we left all our cache notes at the last cache site we visited today.

We think it was a really nice hide. We left a keeper of keys when we signed the log and released the TB.

Found at 2:40pm. Found accompanied by GeoDano and the GeoMrs as navigator and scribe. 3rd find for the day on our sunny Sunday expedition. This is a nice town, my parents used to live near here. After a bit of a drive around the town with some lunch thrown in for good measure we got all the required information and after doing the sums arrive at GZ where the cache was at hand without too much trouble.

First of Twenty finds on a wet, windy, cold and can someone tell us why we do this day's caching day with Dak’s Emu Mob, Kiwideb, and Muzza. Well we sure did have a tour of the town on this one; it took us a while to get the driver to go in the way of the cache. Once at GZ the cache was soon in hand. Thanks Keeper of Time for the cache.

First of seventeen finds on a rainy, cold day's caching in and around Bendigo with acts2youthgroup, Kiwideb, and Muzza. OK, this one is not in or around Bendigo, but it's on the way. We made our way around the waypoints, but somehow got confused about the proper location of WP2. Wink Then we headed off to GZ, but in the wrong direction. [B)] Once we got our act together, we had an easy find at 0820. I made no exchange. Thanks to Keeper of Time for the cache.

An excellent little tour of the area. I was quite taken by the unusual object surrounded by a circle of mature trees. Very cool location.
The rain had stopped by the time we arrived from Stanleys Other Stash, so GabGab and I were out of the car looking for all of the clues for this cache. She was able to help find all of them easily.
The final location was almost a driveby, but then the GPSr jumped another 20-30meters and we had to walk (pity on us).
GabGab found the cache while I was a little ways behind making sure that we weren't stepping into too much mud. She was mighty pleased to find this one indeed.
Took ear buds and stickers, left bubblemix and sports whistle.
Thanks Keeper of Time. We hit two of your caches today and both were just wonderful, especially with the rain and the mist contributing to enchanting locations.

11-Jun-06
Found Ok but have to get better at reading directions on
GPS. Ended up at the train station in a circle of trees but no structure never knew the other one was around and I have been through here so many times. great fun and plenty of coffee for a cold day.

While I bought the Coffee, Shelby and Michael gathered the first set of clues and we met back at the car. We set of for the next and waypoint 2 proved to be a perfect spot for a afternoon coffee break. After working out the final location we finished our drinks and headed for the GZ. After parking very close to the cache the container was found and logged and we were on our way to play in some mud.
Many thanks Keeper of time for the cache and its theme.

Found by Roma and Max.
This was a nice way to complete a long weekend returning from caching in what we call cache heaven, Narre Warren and Berwick, although we had to back track a little to find this one.
It is another lovely autumn day and although the streets at the posted co-ordinates were busy, we did our sums and proceed to wpt 2 where we had both it and GZ to ourselves.
We took a small Cat as a memento and left our usual Mondo Figurine.
Thanks Keeper of Time.
Romax.
