We enjoyed the three Stage Coach caches the history of them was explained well and it is hard to imagin the scean at them in the days of Cobb & Co. getting the vehilces into and accross the river.
Each cache had its own personality and did not cause too much trouble although we did end up on the wrong side of the river on #2 but it was not hard to track an alternative route.

My adorable boyfriend did all the hard work for this one, but I saw a platypus in the river. Not bad for an American. This is my first official cache find in Australia.

Found by Mary & David at 1350. Another beautiful area that you have shown us. Can't imagine a scene of activity and two hotels here though. Recognising the cache containers from similar items that Mary's Mum used to have in her kitchen. Our thanks yet again to Cruzzzinaround.

17-Jul-09
Like so many others before us, we too approached this one from the highway side but since we didn't know what the alternate route across to the other side was we crossed the river. We were going to wade across but since it was a bit cool this day we descided to drive across. Once on the right side the cache was located nice and quick.
Thanks for the cache.
Took nothing left nothing.

07-Jul-09
Well, like others, I tried this from the wrong side of the river first! And, unlike the stage coaches of years gone by, I don't think my Forester could make the crossing... So around I went! - Lovely spot. Thanks.

15-Mar-09
Nice and easy once you get on the right side of the river. We had tried this one about 12 months ago, but with time not on our side we opted out of the drive around. Tonight was a different story. Thanks for showing us this spot.

22-Feb-09
Great spot - no wonder it's popular with the muggles. This place was very busy on a hot summer afternoon, but no-one was looking our way.

Went down the road to find a river full of water - couldn't figure out how to get across to the other side. Could see tracks but, not having brought my swimmers, decided to give it a miss. My GPSr floats so had the bouyancy.

19-Oct-07
Shell and I used to come out here, to swim, fish, 4WD and exercise the dogs when we lived here. After being back in town for fork for a few days I thought I'd come for a drive out and wade the new fourbie across and grab a cache, of course if you are traction-ally challenged you can just drive in from the north without getting your feet wet!

Thanks Cruzzzinaround for the cache! I think next time I'll wear long pants as the walk to the GZ isn't much fun in shorts.

Arrived very near GZ this morning and confidently hopped out of the car and strolled toward the cache Razz
Found myself standing on a precipice looking down into a swift flowing river beyond which lay the cache Red Face
An hour and a half later I finally found myself on the other bank of the swift flowing river Smile
A potentially great location except for the way the locals have trashed the place Sad
Found the cache in it's hidey hole after removing all the rubbish people had stuffed in there [:o]
TFTC.

12-Jun-06
For us, this is why we enjoy caching so much, going to picturesque locations with history attached is always a bonus. It would be great spot to spend a few days here with a good book and a fishing rod. The cache was located quickly in an obvious but well hidden location.
The last finders were muggles {looked like children's handwriting) and there was no sign of the TB.
took frog
Left Playdoh
Thanks Cruzzzinaround
