[:o] Once again........ we've been muggled, but this time looks like parks & reserves spraying & pruning.
Will temporarily disable.

Had a good scrummage around but to no avail! Perhaps a check on this one?
couldn't find it. Found a plastic horse on the groung close by so maybe stolen??
Hppo knows what harakeke means. It means Grampy gets grumpy. But thank goodness he located the cache reasonably quickly. TNLNSL. TFTC
Muzza, Dug n Zoe did this one on the way home from a great weekend.... Picked up the TB to take him for a trip.

Wet or dry, a whole row of flax bushes is still a whole row of flax bushes
Found by Harley in less than 10 minutes after waiting that long again for a muggle to finish his sandwiches and leave.
Container had a bit of water in it but the log was dry in a plastic bag. Logged as Harley / Tim / Gary. TNLN.

Nice to tick this one off, been here a few times before but this was the first we have had the place to ourselves. Flax bushes always seem easier when they are dry.

Laughed at reading GuanoGerbils logs, we found it fairly easily after 5 minutes searching, chased the chickens away, found cache, didnt find any eggs...... Confirm Gerbils log, it is in not under.
Took Dog toy, left spinning Top toy.

At last - after 4 attempts!
Man I hate that particular species of vegetation with a vengeance. And yes, this cache was partly my inspiration for GC1J63B
Readings had me looking at the grass each time, with a slight bias to "the other one". This time I moved a bit further and found easily this time (although it was In, and not Under as well).
Very happy to have ticked this one off - now I can sleep at night!

The Freezer Mice strike again!!!
Made a slight diversion on the way home after grabbing a new mystery cache in Morrinsville to get this one.
Nice easy find, and the flax was definately (thankfully) dry today

A small detour on way to a meeting got this one. Chickens must have been hiding I did not see any.
Headed away for a extra long weekend with Da wife..... this was the first stop.
Saw a rabbit on arrival, and as always, in these rest stops some chickens, that made a bee line straight for us as we pulled up.
Yeah! Wet flax, my fav!!
Thanks for the cache. Nice wee stop. Grabbed a photo

No problems here. A quick stop on way home after 3 caches up Mt Te Aroha-quite worn out by then! This is a spacious, quiet stop off. Thanks
Yes, but which one? Hunted around a couple of them thoroughly which were either side of GZ. Will call back again and see where the machine leads me next time - hopefully to the right place, and not to the one with all the grass clippings around it!
So many roosters and not many hens - I can sympathise with the poor buggers.

Beaut Easter Saturday but what a mess here. Sorry, toooo 'fowl' to clean up. Speaking of fowl - about 18 adults, including some different breeds, and "10 or 11 chicks, maybe 12, could be thirteen, oh did you count those little black ones, start again, I got 14 this time, I only got 12......" TFTC
I know how you feel Early Rizer, walked straight up ot it this time! Collected a TB for a trip to Rotorua. Thanks for the cache.
Logged this as a find a short while ago; I meant to log as a DNF. But all is well because we did finally find this one on our way back down south. It was easy this time. You gotta wonder what happens when you look everywhere for a cache, can't find it, and go back and there it is! Magic!

3rd today and well timed lunch stop. Easy find dispite our enthusiasm for scruffing around under Harakeke flax waning. + Swazi TB TFTC
What a disappointment not to find this cache. We looked and looked, but other than old leaves and spider webs, we found no cache. It looks as if there has been maintenance to this place - lots of grass clippings around.

Nice easy find. Enjoyed playing "chicken" with all the cars flying past whilst looking for this one. TNLNSL. TFC.

1667. So many roosters! Just a few hens to keep them company. Where did they all come from?
It was a quick, easy find at 10.50am.
The Ingham Chicken truck was parked at the end of the layby. Is this where our chickens come from?
Thanks

Easy find even tho a car full of 4 legged muggles arrived. Think they were too interested in the chickens to notice us. Have the coords changed? Last time we were looking in a completely diff. spot, no yukky stuff here, and was a quick find. T4TC. No swaps.
After crawling under and around the bush for 15 minutes we had to give up. Maybe better luck next time, we drive past that resting place quite often.

Quick find, on a long detour back to Auckland. Had to wait out some muggles who decided to park right behind us at GZ. Nice hide, but we still don’t like harekeke. Kids fed the friendly chooks while we waited.

A nice wayby to visit. Would be one of the cleanest & tidiest we have visited. The chooks are very friendly & supervised our search! TFTC
A very quick find as thunder was rolling around us.
Out Norwegian TB
In - fish. Thanks. Looks like we'll escape the rain!

Damn, muggles using the area as a .... rest area, how dare they, and eating their late lunch right in front of a cache site too. Neadless to say didn't get out of the car for this one, another day.
Was passing by the cache, on the way westward, heard this strange sound - was that a cow? Not just a cow, but one wanting to be free....
Had to help TB Udderly on her journey.....
Had to help TB Udderly on her journey.....
Easy find on the way past. Dropped off the Cow TB - great dairying area for this TB to hang out with the other cows. Be careful removing her though, its a tight fit (all that grass!).
[Found it today, and discovered why it had been so hard. The waypoint was still out on the grass, so resorted again to clue - which if taken literally, put us at an unhealthy tree - lots of rotten limbs on the ground... spent some time hunting. Eventually got the cattle prod out and starting prodding deep...
Found it,] not between, but under the harekare... that was where we went wrong...
[Nil in or out - Thanks for the fun in hunting this one down.
Enjoyed finding a nest full of bantam eggs nearby.]

We looked all around but couldn't come up with the cache. I'm sure its still there and it was just that we were on a mission and running out of time.
Riding shotgun with Xenacommander managed to park splat (my SV650) without dropping it for a change. Managed to sniff out the cache. TN left calling cards. TFTC
took quite a while to find this one.
cool container!
a bit noisey with all the cars driving past.

On Xena heading south for work expedition... TK in company on Splat for some of the journey.. Headed to Fielding via Te Aroha..!!! Taking the long way round... GPS showed this one on the way past and I had to stop..
No clues.. but honed in and left TK to use whiskers to hunt out...
GZ put me on the grass.. but TK was quick to put paws on it.

Called in today in hope of a find. GPSr put us in grassed area, close to flax & bushes. A quick hunt, then resorted to the hint, and took it literally. Send RadioNut50 down on his knees (butterfly lady is a little sore at present, and not so flexible)... 20 minutes of hunting, sorry had to give up.... DNF today.
1.15pm. This was fairly easy with an accurate hint. Now I know the name of those bushes. - Voucher + Padlock

Sorry, but because of excess dumping of rubbish
plus interference - Cache Withdrawn.

Finally found this one but NOT where it the clue said it was. It is now back where I assume the cache was originally.
It would nice if fellow cachers do put the caches back in their original positions so as not to frustrate other cachers for no reason at all. This is just carelessness on their part.
TNLNSL
Cheers for the cache.

Couldn't find the cache. Would make a great site for a CITO event. Family cachers may want to take care due to some refuse around the area.
DNF Muggles galore today, waited out 45 minutes, but people just didn't want to leave us. But when we had he occasional 15 seconds between muggle infestations we found rubbish (YUUUUK), broken bottles and chicken eggs!!! Not the kind of geocaching we're into. Completely agree with tofska.
Unfortunately, I have to say that finding this cache was not a pleasent experience. Do take note of the container you are looking for, otherwise you'll end up opening bags of disposable nappies! Why do people treat good rest areas this way? Unless the area has been cleaned up since I last visited, it would be good to include this place in an upcoming CITO event.
Cheers, M@

Yuck [xx(]! This place is foul - and I don't mean the chickens! I should have read the description better and not looked into any of those familiar tied bags! Not much fun searching through stinky dumped rubbish. A shame as this is one of the better rest areas I've seen.
Cheers, M@

Quick stop this morning on the way to the Te Aroha caches. Chooks looked hungry but no food with me. Why do people dump these birds in rest areas? TNLN. Thanks
Neither of us knew what a Harekere bush was. Found cache anyway. Had morning tea there. Fed the chooks. TFTC
