THIS WAS MY THIRD TO FIND THIS CACHE BUT TO NO AVAIL-THINK IT MIGHT HAVE DONE A RUNNER-CHEERS JUMBOZ
After 10 1/2 hours hiking in the area, I thought this would be a nice little treat at the end of the day. Alas, couldn't find it. Maybe next time.
Easy to find now that I remembered to write instructions down.

I was passing through the area with nothing more than coordinates loaded into my etrex. First I couldn't find the nearby 'Gold Rush' cache but now that I read the description for that one my failure isn't really surprising! This one also had me going for a while. My GPS was pointing me 20 metres further along the track where there was a likely looking "feature". So I searched and I searched, and then I searched around the Guardian, and then I searched some more, and then my batteries died! At this point I decided to continue my drive but on my way back down, something slightly "out of place" caught my eye, and lo, there it was! No swaps. Thanks.
Nice track, great bush, and geyser coughing this morning. Water tastes great! Stayed last night at Holiday Park in Te Aroha - can thoroughly recommend it. TFTC
Mineral geyser...
Mineral swimming pool...
Mineral spas...
= Mineral drinking water.

+TB Wonder's Geolicious - Mountain Cache Geocoin
we were going to make a complaint about the attribute "drinking water available". There was this water fountain that we tried to quench our thirst... well... we're glad to say that they don't bottle that water, as they would have trouble selling it. Nevertheless it was a very interesting tasting experience. Highly recommended !!!!!

Dropped by on our way home from a fishing and scalloping trip up the coast, a very very wet day ... makes for few muggles, even at such a popular place. Thanks for the stop.
PS the TB has moved on but is not logged as yet.

Cache AOK.
Dropped off 'The Roaming Wizard' TB.
He needed a little bit of loving and there's
no better place than 'The Mountain of Love!'

Diabetes TB has been removed from this cache and NOT recorded. Believe TB was placed in (GCNQXV).

The Te Aroha Domain very busy with muggles today, made easy find at GZ, as no muggles walked further than the geyser. Saw the Forest Giant, but couldn't find the diabetes TB in residence.

A nice easy evening stroll up behind the motel to find this one. Was initially fooled by the well worn track up the bank but re-read cache notes (i.e. the BOLD TYPE) and was quickly onto it.

A quick find, but not near the well worn track forming up the bank. Obviously not everyone has the cache notes with them. Cache was easy to reach, while still on the track.
There was no Travel Bug inside.
TNLN. Thanks for the quick walk, will go further up next time.

Dropped off a "Unite for Diabetes" Travel Bug....

its journey.

Nice walk in my hometown! I have walked past here so many times........Took a geocoin, left ribbon
Nice quick find, glad it wasn't too far up as I have already done one big climb today. Timing was right for once as the geyser started playing just as I walked past.

Out on another motorcycle adventure, on our way to collect a do up project Honda CBX750. The inimitable XenaCommander piloting Splat today with moi purring on the rumbleseat despite the rain.... BIG XC makes a great weather shield but he was getting very cold so a hunt for this cache helped warm up. Cache was an easy find. the bush tracks are really lovely here.
Out pencil .. was a bit long and lid would not close fully

We had a really bad GPS signal and were led to a place that didn't seem to be right. Then we looked in what we thought was an obvious place and didn't find it there either. I'm not sure what was going on. I hope others can find it!
TechnoKitten and XC were on an adventure to pick up new member of the bike fleet!! (HONDA CBX750FR bold'or )
We were a bit early for appointment in Matamata so decided to detour to Te Aroha to pick up a cache..
Glad to get ahead of a serious front coming thru we had dried out a little when we arrived...
Up the track.. of course chose wrong one so back tracked and re-chose.. got close.. TK's nose went twitch twitch.. and after a couple of false starts she came up with the goods.. There is something about a cat's nose for caches..!! Old Naval Commanders get much chance.
TK Signed log in her unique style..

Ama, Papa and the Kiwi Kids stopped here on their way to Auckland. It was a great break from driving. We sweated our way up the hill, discovered the cache (thank you very much) then waited with others while the geyser built up a head of steam. We weren't disappointed. TNLN
This is a amazing place that we wouldn't have come to normally. Loved the geyser lower down too. Cache was an easy find. Took geocoin to continue its journey.

3.00pm. We found an easy find. Carried on and walked the loop track. TNLN Thank you David & Noeline.
Found this before heading for a soak in the hot pools. Won't be back for a trip to the top, as ALS first did it 52 years ago and we have both been up there several times since.
+ a marble, - nothing.

It was hammering down when I got to the cache, coming down in sheets. I elected not to open the cache and drown the contents. Nice tree. Caution, track slippery when wet.
Visiting friends in Te Aroha so went and did this one. Will be back to tackle the hill
Nil in or out

Nice spot for a cache. The family enjoy going to the nearby hotpools and it is well worth the wait to see the geyser do its thing every half an hour.
In: Badge, Out: Wandering GPS fridge magnet (I like it!)
Thanks
