Kyms Adventure and I are on a WA campervan trip working holiday and nabbing some caches on the way Cache Experience: I absolutely love finding a cache with an old ORIGINAL log book its great flicking through old logs and reading them! What a superb area we obviously took the long way from 3 dams but after reaching GZ we admired the cave and then had cache in hand! Thanks heaps for placing this cache 18 years ago! Cache Condition: EXCELLENT! This is cache number:51717:21
#303 found it 28/10/24 TFTC on a 3mth working holiday with Defcon_6 travelling across WA. A little caching to be done along the way. We camped overnight, we had the place all to ourselves
After completing the Holland Track we spent 2 more days to explore the area more, Victoria rock and Cave Hill.
This was an awesome spot, thanks for bringing us here!

Found on a trip to the west from South Australia.
I had been down to find the old cache at Burra Rock from Coolgardie while heading west a few weeks ago, but thats as far as I went due to time constraints and road closures. But the caches beyond there, down to Cave Hill and then Sunday Soak, intrigued me. So on my way back home heading east I decided to cut down from the highway at Coolgardie and re-join it at Higginsville, visiting the various caches along the way
I arrived at Burra Rock late in the afternoon and camped there for the night. In the morning I drove down to Cave Hill to find this cache.
What a great spot! I ended up spending much more time here than I had planned, wandering around the trails and rock and generally exploring the area. It was a beautiful day and I was pleased to have the area all to myself.
The cache was found without any trouble and is in good condition. I’m not sure I’d be too keen to drink the half full bottle of water (I think it was water??) that someone has left in the cache. But I guess if you were dying…
Thanks TEAM LANDCRUISER for a memorable cache. A favourite point from me!

Had a few hours off work so took a look at the cave. Camped here about 30 years ago when you could hear the donkeys call at night. TFTC
Cracking spot for a cache. Last cache of our four day Holland Track expedition.
Saw a bungara cliff hanger nearby too..
TEAM LANDCRUISER, I found Cave Hill today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Staying in Kalgoorlie for a few days, we headed out for a day of adventure on the trails & of course a visit to Cave Hill was in order… We came from the east & used the 4X4 track to get here Surprisingly we had the place to ourselves & we were able to make a nice quick find of this great cache before spending some time exploring this fantastic spot!
Eventually we made it back to the car although I sure the kids would have loved to camp here the night… TFTC TEAM LANDCRUISER [^] Cache in great condition.

We drove in from the back of Widgiemootha Tavern along an excellent, wide, recently graded road all the way to Cave Hill. After exploring the front of the rock we drove around to the back of the rock and explored the rock dams and found some excellent camping sites.
We headed out of Cave Hill along the 4WD track to Burra Rock. Some parts of this track were a bit hairy with wash aways and boggy patches. And we encountered a few 4wds coming in the opposite direction. Luckily, where we encountered the oncoming traffic there was enough room for one or the other of us to back up into the bush.
All in all, we had a terrific day with the caching being quality over quantity. We would never have driven these roads had it not been for caching.
Thanks, Team Landcruiser. A fave point from us.

The last 2 down this track for this visit. After visiting two other rocks heading towards this cache we made the finds here and then pushed back towards Kal to start the trip home.
After finding the csche at Burra rock and then moving onto untouched nearby we headed down the track further to cave hill to grab the two caches there. Another great spot and unfortunately it was the end of the line for our caching in the area as we planned to be back in Perth tonight ready for a warm shower after 5 days on the road. Thanks
Although this cache was not on our planned agenda, while we were out this way it seemed logical to grab the two Cave Hill caches. Headed out with Barnzy12, Cravo10 and McFonz on a bit of an epic journey to get to gz. Happy to have finally made it and recorded our visit. Thanks Team Landcruiser
With only a couple of us left from the main trek (Holland Track) we headed further south targeting the caches in the area.
This had been on my to-do list in September last year but circumstances caused us to head to Perth.
Was great to finally tick Cave Hill off. We were greeted by a pair of donkeys as we made our way to the cave.
Quick easy find at GZ. Checked out the cave and made our way to the next one.
Thanks for the cache Team Landcruiser.
Cheers

Out ‘n about with m4yb getting a few caches. Confusion rained but after some sorting out we made the find and all enjoyed the walk uneven though we were the only ones who needed to sign b

The walk was hot but so well worth it! Cache found easily, glad to have come to this spot. TFTC!
Nice area showing the parents around and thought we would grab it while we are here.
Found with ICNothing during our travels of the Holland track and surrounding areas. TFTH
After completing the Holland Track and having some more time up our sleeves we decided to head to Cave Hill via Woodlines. A great day of driving then a beautiful walk along the caves. The cache was found easily (great to find a ammo can) and is in excellent condition. Tftc.
What a great spot. The camping was great , we loved the sound of braying donkeys at night. All the way from CQ Aust. Thanks for bringing us here.
Not sure why some are having difficulties finding the cache and others not, will be in the area soon to check if it has been relocated. Will update co-ords if required.
There wasn't any structures when this cache was placed so it may have been relocated by the construction crew.

I was sure I logged this when we found it, but obviously not! Found after placing new cache nearby. Quickly spotted, had no trouble with coords. TFTC!
Wow what an awesome little place. Explored all around the dams, cave and wave. Nice place to stop however depending which track you take in can create some difficulties. We managed to belly the car and trailer out in a bog hole. With not a car in sight Mr Crump had to get out the hand winch. This made for a very interesting time. TFTC
A great spot, was a bit of a challenge to find because of the overgrowth. Took: Polaroid photo that has "Picked up from Goongarrie Station cache in September 2008, left 50c" stated on it. Left 50c.
TFT challenge!

Didn't have any notes with us so we couldn't find it oh well, we will have to go back
To get to Cave Hill we took the 4wd track in from Burra Rock, that went along the old milling railway line. There was a few big muddy spots but these all had tracks around them so it wasn't too bad. Along this track there also is a bit of history to see with old kerosene tins, bottles from the workers and a overturned railway carriage (I think that is what it was). Getting in to Cave Hill it was starting to get a little late so set up camp, cache in the morning. We were the only people in the camp that night so we had the pick of sites. After dinner was finished, washed and dried. There was a lot of shouting and commotion coming from the bush and three young men walked up covered in mud. They had been stuck in a big muddy washout for three hours. One that we had driven around, commenting who'd be silly enough to drive through there. So with a second vehicle to help it didn't take long to winch them out and they were on their way.
The next day after breakfast we hiked over the rock. The view from the is amazing. To the North is three more dams. The work that went into these is incredible.
Finding the cache too a little time. The undergrowth is thick and I had to climb under a fallen tree to get to the cache.
Thanks for taking us to this amazing spot. Well worth the drive and the hike.

Headed up and over the rock after a pleasant night's camping in the camp ground. How hard is it for 4 grown ups to find a ammo box in a patch if bush on a rock? Armed with information from previous posts and after about 30 mins we were finally successful. Found 6m from GZ (according to the iPhones anyway - gps was AWOL this trip) thnx for bringing us to this magic spot.
1/2 hour searching through the grass and no luck, will be watching this to see if anyone else can find it.
Our ninth of ten finds for the day while driving a circuit south of Kalgoorlie, via Kambalda to Cave Hill and Burra Rocks. A mainly sunny but breezy day. More and more wildflowers to be seen everywhere.
We arrived here a bit later than intended after a longwinded failed attempt at 'Sunday Soak'. No campers or day visitors so we had the place to ourselves. The cave and wave are stunning and the cache was found after a bit of a search using 'tangowithcupcake''s suggestions.
Now on to our last stop before heading home....Burra Rocks.
Thanks for the cache TEAM LANDCRUISER [^]

Hard to find tree has fallen over covering some of the flax and cutting of the path. Agree with 2nd last entry those cords get you closer. TFTC
Doing the Holland Track with my son and two friends, Some rain made the first part interesting and challenging... But we had a ball, Unfortunately I was focusing on the track that I missed a couple of caches and past them... Bugger, I'll have to return and get them another time..... Coords on GPS were out by about 10-12m, but there was a bit of cloud above as it did drizzle a bit... But found the cache and loved the caves....
Found on a morning walk after camping at the rock. Nice cave! A bit damage is being done by cachers. Can we suggest that searchers start at the right had end of the walkway and make a straight line through the bush to S 31° 39.769 E 121° 13.715 This should minimise tracks.
Thanks again TLC

Stopped by on a motor bike/ 4 wheel drive trip with a group of 18. What a fantastic spot. We camped nearby and then called into the cave on the way out. Spent a good half an hour looking around but gave up as we were one of only 5 geocachers in the group, and it was time to go! As others have said, the bush is getting quite flattened by cachers and there seemed to be many other spots there that would cause less damage. We are very keen to return as we do not like to be beaten, and we loved the lake.
Great place to see the sights. Found this cache without too much difficulty. My gps said the cache was 7m away from the stated point to the NW, but was easy enough to find as it was only hidden from the path. Lots of goodies to look through, TNLN TFTH
This one was way off GZ, not too sure whether it has been moved???
I would suggest moving it to a more accessible location, the bush around the GZ is being massively trampled by GC's. I have included the coords in which we found the cache.

Very hard to find as the coordinates were out. Not great that you have to stomp the bush to find this one given that there are raised platforms..... but T4TC
Almost gave up on this one after about 45 mins of traipsing around the bush. Great spot, pity about all the graffiti in the cave. Will be coming back to have a better look next time. TFTC, TNLN.
Traveling the Holland track in convoy of 6 vehicles (3 cachers). Last cache for our group. Great camo - it took some keen teenaged eyes to find this one. Left 4WD magnet, took pen.
Found it, but a shame we had to trample around in the bush looking for it when the path is there to prevent this happening!

Well camoflaged [(spelt wrong )] ammo box. Good find - maybe would not like to be scruffling around in there from late winter but good spot anyway.

This was the 4th cache in our adventure.
Brad climbed all the way with Mark, Jameson & Amali Viczy at dusk and walked back in the dark.
While the mummies, Sahara and baby Jayden & baby Abbie waited about half way along the rock.

Well..... I approached this cache from the wrong (eastern) side, but I found the walk/climb up the hill interesting and gave some great views from the cairn area. The cache was found in due course and swaps were made prior to climbing into the cave itself for a closer look around. T: Tape measure, L: mirror compact, SL. After returning over the top to the vehicles, we drove around to the cave parking area and I walked up again with John from Team Gypsys, who eventually found the cache by himself as I looked on. While we were there, we visited the wave rock area and took many photos. Thanks to Mike and Therese for the cache.
Had a really good look around the area and found some definent tracks that looked like they should have led to the cache but we had no luck finding it. Nevermind, we still enjoyed a swim in the dam and the cave formation was interesting to look at, would be nice to watch the sunset from up there.
Weve already got this one but checked the cache while on a visit here and showed some friends the game of geochaching and Im sure they will be into it real soon - they were suitably impressed too and took a TLC calling card. Cache is in good condition.
Found it during our 4x4 trip along the holand track together with cachers Naud and Barrabup Sanctuary and future cacher Glenn fro Sydney.
We had great fun during this 3 day adventure and apreciated all the caches along the route, thanks go to the owners of the caches to show us these nice places.

Will have to note a DNF but oh yes I will be back to try again. I ran out of day light and didnt bring a torch with me from the car.
It was hard to find this one! and it was only 5m out from my gps GZ - well camouflaged! Mrs Wally wanted to declare a DNF as it was getting late, but Mr Wally is a true GC'er and had to bag it! The CALM boys have made a raised walk way viewing platform pretty close to the cache and lucky they didnt go right through it! (see photo)TFTH TLC's took tape left 2 x ha'pennys (1951 and 1947)
We were expecting a woodline trail so we had camped the night at Burra Rocks. We were surprised to find that there is an easy gravel road all the way to Cave hill. We opted for this path and found ourselves there in about 30 minutes. We stopped for breakfast as it was cold and we needed something to keep us energetic. After the refreshment we went for the cache. We know from past experience that our GPS and TLC's are read very much the same so we knew we were close when the numbers added up. We found the cache and logged the visit. As we have come to find TLC still makes the best caches. Cammo, contents and container all 1st class, as is the location. We left a new 12v Air mattress pump amd took the goblin and Orc. We pottered around the cave for about an hour and then made our way back to the car via a different route.
From cave hill we made our way down a less used track to the Victoria rock road. There are two going that direction but we wanted the one going towards the McDermid Rocks area (Mc Rock cache is there). The other track leads almost straight to the Holland track. The coodinates for the track we used are IE Cave hill to Victoria road near McDermid rock 1:Cave Hill End S31.40.139 E121.13.323 2: Victoria Road End S31.48.611 E120.50.030 The track had tyre marks on it but it looks like it only gets traffic about once a week tell someone you plan to use it just incase. Its about 50km long but an easy track following woodlines. It didnt perfectly follow the GPS map track but it was good enough to know we were on the right path. If anyone needs more coodinates we may be able to work them out from out track path in the GPS.

We drove down the woodline track and climbed up over the back side of the rock. Spent a lot of time looking for the cache only finding it when the sun had moved a full hour and reflected on the container.
Didn't we feel like dills as we all had looked there at least twice before. I mentioned to Brett we need to do a womans look next time.
This is a spot I will be returning to probably via the well maintained road. Thanks TLC for another great spot. Now to slip across to Victoria Rock road and back down the Holland.

With BelKen but my misfortunes persisted as I broke my CB ant off on the close trees along the Woodline track (why did we not go via the big track) I am amazed at the work that went into building the rock walls. Looked everywhere with no clues but ended up locating it. TFTH

We decided on a camping trip to Cave Hill and walked for miles!! This cache was hidden in a great spot, we tried to find it at night with no luck, but in the morning first thing we found it. Went to the cave where Ash and Daisy succeeded in falling 10 feet from the top shelf [B)] Daisy with skin off her nose. We left a goblin and an ork and took a denta bone. Zack's mum walked into a spider, so it was a very eventful day. Cheers
Found the cache it was pretty good hide spot. I search around for more than 1 hour eh. What hopeless of me. As I leave Thursday Rock at before sunrise arrived Cave Hill at for morning tea. FTF, I have been there last January so like this place and nice camping area. Took: nothing Left: Geocoin and calling card. Again thank you for wonderful organise the cache and hunt.
