After confirmation contact w the CO, I headed off to this one while visiting Granma. Since its been laying dormant for more than 9 months was hoping it was still alive, but a lot of leaves and lawn-clippings later had coords in hand at WP1. Finding great hide location at GZ wasn't enough, no cache though! There is fairly extensive "rats of tobruk" cubby houses on site, hope they havnt unearthed some treasure.
no i didnt find. found some good spots where it could be. kid muggles have been working very hard building a cubby in the fallen tree. it might still be there we could notsee it
Loving day lights saving! More time for caching after work! TFTC! May get a bit snakey soon though!
Not much info to go on, but this cache worked out alright, I balanced across the creek using the fallen tree both there and back. The final cache hide may be a bit tough to pick out, given how much space the fallen tree is taking up, but it's in one of those regular and obvious caching spots.
I think we need to purchase a GPS for this one

A nice multi which we enjoyed. We are glad we did this one now before the weather got too hot as we believe the wrigglies would favour this spot. SL TNLN TFTC
Glad to stay in Bendigo for 3 nights with Everlasting and Crank1
Enjoy around this beautiful town.

Third cache for the day mini cacher found the first clue and the end cache no swaps
Bluey found both the Wpt and the cache, even got to meet its creator and introduce ourselves. No swaps. TCTC.
Trudy was my geocaching partner today. First time caching for Trudy. We entered the creek walking track from Condon Street...So did a fair bit of walking until I found WP1. Then we turned around and went back, where Trudy found the cache. Whilst I chatted with a muggle who was really chatty and initially thought that we were looking for worms. We did no swaps. Thanks for the nice little multi with accurate co-ordinates. TFTC
Found with my mate Blacklegend17 (Marshy) during our 2 day Bendigo cache blitz. The torches were out for this one as it was now night time. TFTC.
26th find for the day on my caching trip with my caching buddy, Marty (Quasar3671) in Bendigo for two days of non stop caching fun. Well, at the time of night we found this on, it was into night caching mode and the torches were out. Thanks for the hide. SLTNLN.
Bit confuse for me so call helpline - finally found the cache... Smile... SL. Thanks bevfre for organising the cache and hunt.
Nice cache, although I went for a slide (I wasn't the only one) unintentionally when I was nearing GZ.
At least we had a laugh about it.

Not sure what the road workers thought as we drove up and down the road a few times to complete this cache and an adjacent one.

This is a nice strip of trees in the middle of what is now a fairly busy suburbia! Houses are popping up all over the place so it's good to see there are still corridors like this for the birds and lizards. Dropped off the NZ kiwifruit coin
Found with Jimmymaff, Stinga4 and TammyTriangle
Pleasant stroll up the creek, searched for a bit before Jimmymaff sussed it out.
Took nothing, left cow and dropped off Sakura GC

Found this one quite easily, nice areas although alot of muggles where watching us so we had to sit on a log and look like we were just enjoying the scenery. SL

My 81st total find and final of the day.
GPSr was playing up a bit beofre we actually figured out where Wpt1 was.
Once there we found the coords to GZ within 1 min.
A short drive around the corner to GZ where there were some muggle builders, a muggle kid watching me try to put the container back, and a muggle family across the road chasing a baby...

Creek had water in it after the recent (and a bit current) rain so we had to use the fallen tree to cross it. On the return trip smart alec small fry exclaimed in an amazed voice "Gee I really didn't think that would hold your weight"
The creek is not quite the obstacle that it might have been. In fact, we kicked up quite a dust storn crossing the gully.
Thanks, Robmc.
Thanks, Robmc.
Looks like it's been a while since there was a creek here, just a big hole or gully now providing a little obstacle for us cachers.

Found it second time lucky. The Huntsman spider was out protecting the first of the caches. GZ was protected by swarms of mozzies and muggles.

Found WP1 quite easily then off to GZ for the great creek crossing glad it was dry. Took Snail and Left Snake. Thanks.
We found our 2nd Bevfre cache at 6:40pm as the 13th of 15 on Day 1 of our "Where'd Bendy Go?" long weekend. My legs were now starting to get wobbly as I traversed the natural barrier between the WP1 and the cache. Not many finds on this one so far this year. Thanks for the cache from D, H & A B-A.
Parked near the first waypoint and soon discovered its hiding spot. Then it was off to GZ; I cut directly through the housing blocks and across the creek (fortunately dry!). The native landscaping and area surrounding the creek is amoungst the most pleasant I have seen in the Bendigo area.
The cache was found after a short search amoungst the shade of the gum trees. TNLN. Thanks!

Found on my Bendigo long weekend tour. I didn't find many multi's but this looked like it was nice, so I did. I like these easier ones much better than the others around town, but forgot to write what I swapped, as I had to move on before the neighbours got suspicious.

Picked up WP1 quite quickly and went for GZ. Spotted cache, but muggle and muggle's best friend were walking nearby. Needed to act casual for a while until they past, soon had the cache in hand. TNLNSL, TFTC.
A nice little walk along the creek and a cache that wasn't too hard to find. My sort of cache. Need a rain check on the cuppa as Bevfre wasn't home.

After a DNF three months ago wp1 was back and an easy find this time, as was the cache up the creek! Pity about the road right next to the creek though. Still, a nice walk and thanks to bevfre and a pleasure to meet you both.
A nice little hide and a lovley little find at wp1 two lovley people took karen who had a little inside knowagle on this one thankyou it was very nice to have meet you
Found by Mary & David at 1400. At last! Good to get this one off our Bendigo list after a DNF some time ago at WP1 when it went walkabout. Nice and cool down at the creek today, and even a pool of water. Some stealth will be needed in future as the new houses are built facing the cache. TNLN. Our thanks to bevfre - see you at the Central Victorian Get Together next month.
Searched for this one with Farmers5 but came up empty handed. Not that many places to look, either.
Couldn't even get past first base on this one. Checked all the likely spots for the hidden container that we could think of without success. Finally gave up and sought a Coffee hint. The way we understood it, we'd checked the correct spot, but just to be sure we tried again. Still nothing. Hmm. Maybe next time. Cheers, bevfre.
Found. Had a nice chat with Bevfre re Geocaching. Looking forward to finding more in the future.

5th of 6 finds on our family caching day!
3rd of 3 Bevfre caches as well!
Found @ 11.15am.
We found the 1st wpt easily enough, and also found the invitation to visit Bevfre.
I normally wouldn't because I'm fairly shy, but I had my outgoing Mrs Fozzy with me, and she decided that we should at least meet Bevfre. It was a nice visit, and we thank you both very much. We didn't have a cuppa, but we had fun briefly meeting a couple whom we have only heard of. We can now say that we know you both!!
This was a straight forward multi, and we enjoyed ourselves.
Took:Nothing
Left :Fozzy card
Thanks again for you caches, and for your hospitality. We will have that cuppa at a later date!!

After a fairly easy or should we say muggle free task of gathering the clues we headed for the GZ, Compared to many caches in this district this cache proved to be an easy find, and very enjoyable. It is a pity these places dont exist in our area as this would make for some fun hidden caches.
Many thanks Bevfre for the cache, it was very enjoyable. We would have knocked but were unsure of which one.

Nice to do a little multi with an extra container to find on the way. Ended up on wrong side of creek but no problems then finding cache.
Cache was found finally. This cache was so sad we took ages to find it. A long long time. Finally found by one of the boys. I wasn't game. Thanks for the cache. It was raining and the rivers were running really fast.
Cache Six-teen of twenty finds on a wet, windy, cold and can someone tell us why we do this, day's caching day with Dak’s Emu Mob, Kiwideb, and Muzza. With the first location found quickly we had to make a decision on do we walk or drive closer, we drove and found a gap between the houses that enabled us to make a nice quick find on the correct side of the creek.
The Alliance was out in force today with four members present. this was our 300th cache find for The Rebel Alliance. L.L.T.R.A
Found WPT1 quickly, then had to guess which side of the creek to approach. Our guess was correct, with just a short walk from the car to the cache. It turned out to be a nice, quick find. No exchange made.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Thirteenth of seventeen finds on a rainy, cold day's caching in and around Bendigo with acts2youthgroup, Kiwideb, and Muzza. We found the micro easily enough. Then the question was: do we walk it, or is it possible to drive closer? We decided to drive. Kiwideb spotted a break in the houses and we were at GZ soon after. Then the question was: is it on this side of the creek, or the other? The Emu Mob routinely ends up on the wrong side of any obstacle, but this time luck was on our side, and Kiwideb extracted the cache at 1715. Thanks to bevfre for the cache.

Another of the local caches we located on our Bendigo night assault. The first location was a breeze but the GPSr defiantly had us up the creek for a while, it just refused to settle down. We then applied a bit of logic and with a bit more effort the cache was ours.

Whilst at WP1 we were trying hard to look inconspicious, when a man approached us,
I tried the "am looking for a block of land to buy" trick, to no avail - it was Bevfre himself and we were caught red handed.
An enjoyable cuppa and chat was had with Bev and Fred,
Bev - Get well soon
Fred - Great office
Always good to catch up with fellow cachers.
Afterwards we strolled to the cache for an easy find.

Found by Roma and Max.
This is another lovely spot to find a cache. The authorities in Bendigo are continually providing walking tracks within new subdivisions and this was another one for us to investigate whilst enjoying one of our favourite pass times.
Co-ordinates for wpt1 and GZ were both close, enabling a quick find.
We took a small Yellow Ball and left the usual Mondo Figurine.
Thanks again Bevfre.
