Reperio 14:39I was headed to Katoomba today for the upcoming Ultra Trail Australia event, and with a little time bit of time in the day to find some caches, thats exactly what I did. I took in the little detour to Portland along the way, and picked this one up. Didnt realize this one was placed so long ago until I got home. Nice to see it still surviving.Gratias josh-penny right wayAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV
Headed out with a plan to clear all the Portland caches from my map. Unfortunately it was too hot to get them all done today but I had a good crack. We'll be back when it's not so hot to finish the missions. Nice easy one to start. Great to see such an old cache still in great condition. TFTC
Easy grab.By the water tank!Spending a few days at Lake Wallace with good friends breaking in our new van.Lots of laughs turning Portland into smilies. Considering that we just moved back from Portland Oregon!Tftc
Heading towards Sydney but stayed nearby overnight and grabbing a few along the way. Most hides where found after a short search. Loved the different containers and hides. Thanks for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
A quick find here cache all goodThanks josh-penny right way for placing this cache GCW0KK
Found It!
Found this one after a short search of the area. Interesting to find such an old cache (with original logbook) in a cemetery.

My goodness, the locals sure didn't want to leave....finally! Able to get this one once they drove off.
Looking on the wrong side, looked in the direction of the water tank and bingo
I wasn't sure where to start my search here but after a walk around I spotted something out of place,
Wow this has lasted the distance
Thanks for the cache

Nice to find an oldie cache but the cold wind had me head quickly back to the car. Found with mates on our Dayboro Mega trip - heading home now. Cache signed as Capital Crunchers.

So cold today but great to make a quick stop to pick up this cache.
So cool to have made it to the Mega now to get the caches we spent months solving and other nearby caches. On our way home now.
On a trip north to get to Dayboro with Kittykatch, Isopeda and Barb2e. Been lots of fun and laughs.
Signing as Capital Crunchers.

On a big geocaching trip with barb2e, Kittykatch and Joolay. We went to the Mega in Dayboro and are now making our way back home. Sometimes signing as Capital Crunchers.

We had no luck today despite searching all the obvious spots. Hopefully we just missed it and the next cacher has better luck.
Yep, a pretty sleepy place. Not much activity on the part of the inhabitants today. Found it easily.
We camped at the Wallace Lakes rest area with the caravan, found a spot where we would not get bogged in with the copious rain we had experienced. This morning dawned foggy but with signs the sun would make an appearance. We started early and loved the scenery as we travelled the area. Nice cache and hide. Thanks to josh-penny right way for hiding this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
Up in the mountains this weekend and oldmorty produced a list of caches to find around Wallerawang.
This was not on the list, but we stopped off and gave it a go.

OCW frazeydaze on a warmish Saturday morning. After doing the sums it wasn't too long before before it was CIH, but not before we scared a rabbit out from beneath. TFTC

Caching in and around the Sunny Corner area, we picked up a few caches with Whitewebbs and this was one of them.
An easy find at GZ, cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Swung by Portland to see my aunt while on the way home from Adelaide, and took the opportunity to pop in here as we drove by. A straightforward find in the logical hiding spot.
Thanks for placing this cache where my nana and a few other family members reside.

We have left the Morisset Geo Muster where we spent Easter and are now travelling South in our interim caravan.
At the moment we are camped near Lithgow at a lovely free camp at Lake Wallace. Today we headed to Bathurst for the day, travelling via the backroads.

Headed away for the weekend with fitzy_1965. Made our way through Cowra and Bathurst trying to pick up some out of the way caches and some previous DNFs. I ended up with 48 finds but unfortunately we had around 17 more DNFs.
Such a wonderful little cemetery.....easy find but log is full.

15,420. Found during a Cowra/Bathurst region run this weekend with minniek.
Day 3 dawned and after packing up camp we started caching again. Saw a magnificent headstone for one of our diggers on the way to GZ. Quick find once there. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then we headed off to the next one.
Thanks josh-penny right way !!

Found as part of a weekend away with Hoojar. We headed up towards Gulgong the first night and camped near the start/ end of TRLT (@ -5 degrees ). The next day we made it through some nice historic places and great rolling countryside to finish up at Sunny Corner after a feed in Bathurst. The next day a few more finds before we headed home. Plenty of roadkill spotted, not many cars and not too much trouble at each cache. Thanks to all those cache hiders .
The opportunity finally arose that Steeba and I both had a free weekend to go caching. We quickly settled upon the northern half of The Road Less Traveled series. We drove to Gulgong via Mudgee after work on Friday, camping just before midnight at the suggested TSR nearby.
Saturday we made our way via the caching trail, and the odd additional cache, to Bathurst for dinner, then back onto the trail to Sunny Corner where we again camped for the evening.
Sunday we turned our heads for home, via a few additional cache stops in Portland and Wallerawang.
A fantastic weekend away, with excellent country to be seen and company to be had. We enjoyed the caches that we found.
Thank you to all of the cache owners, and sorry for the boiler-plate logs!
Cheers

TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
#3721- Out in the this area today catching up with an exchange student and his host family. While NickoHeap caught Pokemon, I concentrated on my caching love. I must admit by the description, I hadn't expected this. Drove down the dirt road at the side and then realised I needed to be in there. A quick find in the obvious spot. Thanks
Funny how you can look and look and not see something that was right where you LOOKED! Container is a good colour for where it is sitting. TFTC
My caching buddies had all found this one previously but kindly detoured on our road trip today so I could add it to my total. Nice quick find added some swaps . TFTC
What a lovely day for a hunt... Quick and easy...We were totally undisturbed and it was a peaceful find...
Having visited this place quite regularly in recent years, it was fun knowing we had been metres from the cache on many occasions...
Packed full of treasures, we signed the log and swapped some booty..

We discovered all those many a couple of days ago.
We have solved all the interesting mysteries before we started our trip to the Mid Western Region of NSW.
Day 1
We started the day in Meadow Flat, followed by Sunny Corner and Dark Corner past Palmers Oakley.
We loved the hilly nature along many peaceful Gravel roads. Many smilies were forming on our map.
We finished the day in Bathurst.
Day 2
We started all fresh again in the morning. Leaving Bathurst, we were able to get going about faster along the sealed road.
We reached Sofala at around lunch time. We couldn't believe that about 40,000 used to live here. It really seemed that the city stopped developing in around the 1850's..
We continued towards Hills End and Windeyer through dry grassy land in 47 degrees heat.
We spend such a beautiful night here in Windeyer in the caravan park. We booked one of the train accomodation where you got to stay in the train back in time. What a great experience. We really liked Windeyer as it seemed so far away from all the city rush. Te locals were very welcoming and were happy to see us in the pub next door for dinner.
What a great community living were it seems like everyone knows everyone.
Day 3
We left Windeyer after a big breakfast. We travelled along Hills End Road until we reached the turn towards another Gravel road. There wer many animals to watch and it got even hotter and hotter.
This day ended in Mudgee.
Day 4
We took a look at Mudgee city today were we searched for a couple of caches and ten continued towards Rylstone.
After we continued to the Wollemi National Park which a good friend recommended us to go. Here we climbed on the top of the mountain and simply enjoyed the stunning view and the tranquil nature.
After, we traveled towards Kandos, Capertee, Cullen Bullen, Portland and Wallerawang back home to Sydney.
We hereby would like to thank all owners for this great interesting tour. We got to see many historical places and sometimes felt like as if we were living back in the the 1850's, which is a good thing.
Thanks

The name really suits the setting, I walked around in circles for 10 minutes before I could find the box but it was good fun
This was the first cache we tried to find, ever, and we didn't find it at the time. Went back today, knowing more about how the app works, and found it. Geodaughter spotted the rusty little tin hiding. Great hiding spot! Made some swaps, signed the logbook. Tftf!
