Hi there djcache,
This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **MAY** need some attention.
You may recall having received an automated email from Geocaching HQ which explained what you needed to do.
Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so I am having to take the next step and temporarily disable the cache - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713)
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days so others know exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication kill this cache.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- **Place A Write Note Log:-** Reviewers are not mind readers, so without your note on the cache page telling them what the situation is, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and, when the listing is next checked, all will be fine for a little bit longer. But be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it.
If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date), please ensure you visit this page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks so as to keep everyone up to speed with what is happening.
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another Geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD)

Had a wander around town this morning, decoding a couple of multis and checking out the lay of the land.
Sorted all the clues and headed to the GZ but like the last few seekers I came up empty handed.

Omeo - steeped in such incredible history! We toured in the rain today, making a substantial number of U-Turns in the process.
Like previous seekers, we saw evidence of bank movement and despite an extensive search we still came up empty handed.
We're a tipp'n it's a miss'n.
**FEEDBACK TO CO:** A great Multi but just on 17 months since last found and now 3 DNF's - perhaps it's time to check that it is still there, please?
Thanks for the fascinating tour anyway djcache.

We were dressed in our High Street clothes for a nice little stroll, certainly not prepared for a scramble through the blackberrry bramble! If you're approaching GZ from up above, don't take the direct route down along the fenceline - walk a little way to the right and you'll find a nice clear path down. We searched for a while but got all scratched up and gave it away.
I'd like to think I'm a half decent cacher and I got all the coordinates easily, however even after a number of tries I couldn't find the cache.
There have been a number of small landslips at the GZ so maybe it's under the rubble...or maybe I'm just incompetent.
Thanks for the trip anyway.

Although we are not great fans of multi caches (always make some stupid error) we enjoyed learning a bit about Omeo. Amazingly we got it right and just on dark in below zero temperatures we reached GZ, possibly from an unconventional direction. Cursing von Mueller for the blackberry introduction, scratched and bleeding we signed the log and were thankful that the co-ords led us right to the spot. Thanks for the history and for the cache, djcache.
We were in Omeo waiting for some friends so I used my time to collect the clues from the waypoints, a beautiful day for a walk. As a frequent visitor to Omeo, GZ was a place I hadn't checked out before so that was even better. TFTC
We went for a wander around the pretty town and collected all the clues with ease. It was a bit hot out so geodad volunteered to make the trip to GZ, but he took lots of photos and we got to see the placement.
Thank you, we enjoyed this, and will give you a fav point.

Well this was a mystery cache. Was with a group of muggles, didn't want to spend the time looking for clues and then maybe not finding the cache. Whilst walking came across the cache, so then checked the clues mainly to justify my find but also to show the group. Yesterday we had a tour of the historical village with Jeff and today just walked the town. Lovely place with so much history, worth another visit some time. Maybe do the other cache next time, especially if I'm by myself or just one other person. TFTC
Thanks for the lovely tour of Omeo! Great cache! Found it in a lovely day out with ShearingLinc, AQBee and ChloeandBel2488!
Arrived Omeo few days ago... collecting the clues and go to gz.. to find it but time run out.
Came back today to try again to find a cache but couldn't find it..
Thanks djcache for bring me here and multi cache.
thanks

I hate logging DNFs!! We had a lovely stroll around the town answering the clues but searched and searched at the GZ with no luck. Area is getting quite overgrown. Will have to try again next time we are in the area.
While the rest of our party kicked back and enjoyed the rodeo I stolled down the main street. The Good Friday market was the focal point here today and I wandered around with everyone else. Piping hot fresh donuts and the sausage sizzle were enjoyed.
So much history here, we plan on returning for a longer visit next time. Thanks for the historic cache. All fine at GZ.

Up this way to do some fishing for the next month. Taking in the Goulburn, Kiewa, Mitta and Omeo Valleys. Focus is mainly on fishing, but any cache is likely to be nabbed along the way.
We are unable to log details when on the move so have used "Log Later" as a filler till we return.
Thanks for your patience and the cache. djcache
Great multi, such a huge effort putting the data together. A Favourite from us for that.
GPS co-ords pretty good, allowing for the location. Phone was wandering though.

Before we prepared dinner we did a small walking tour through Omeo. What a nice town. The final was nice as well. Worth a favourite point.

Great multi, nice walk, fantastic hiding spot. Traded couple of its paper 'cache-coin' envelopes for my trusty ladybird.

Wonderful! Two of our criteria for caches are 'Quality" (not quantity) and 'walking with a purpose" and this cache fulfilled both. We had a most informative time, first reading the cache page, then following the trail down the street. It's a great street when you take the time to look around. Lovely park, too, as we approached final GZ. We had quite a bit of exercise in the park, it does pay to check the hint sometimes! (saying more would be a spoiler) Definite Fav from us. Retreived the T B, LN SL. Very many thanks, djcache, for an informative cache, thoughtfully put together, really appreciated by us.
Day two of the Southern NSW Lounge About with BettyBoo3747.
Omeo to Marlo, a nice relaxing drive out of the mountains down to the beach.
Stopped at the Bruthen Brewery for lunch, and rode the MCT trail just out of Lakes.
We arrived in Omeo late yesterday afternoon and couldn't face a 8 point multi. Showered, fed and watered was a different proposition!
It was a hot still night, so to get out of the room we walked the town. We were about the only ones! It was only about 9pm, but we only saw one dog walker (and they were scurrying home!)
We collected all the clues, mixed a few, but got there in the end. A lovely night for a walk - very starry.
This morning we went down to GZ. What an interesting part of town! No water today, but that just meant no muggles. Mind you there was a good sized snake, but it was early and he wasn't interested in moving.
Grabbed the final and made our mark. Thanks for the good multi.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 10061. An early start from Omeo this morning but we had to finish off a multi here in town that we started last night before continuing the journey to Bruthen and Lakes Entrance with final destination for the day being Marlo. A great travelling and caching day.
Last night we wandered the streets with notes and torches for what seemed like hours and miles. We were staying mid-way at the Colonial Motel , which was veryhandy. We dined at the Golden Age Hotel but still had to return to the plaque we had read on the way back to the motel - dammit. Anyhow it was a beautiful night so I can't complain. I had told Rob where I thought GZ would be and yes it was in that vicinity, just a little further on. What a fantastic place that we wouldn't have seen except for this cache. This whole area reminds me a lot of my little town of Beechworth. We enjoyed the walk, except for the fact that the black snake that I walked past on the outward trip was still there on the return. It was only the first of three for the day.
Thanks djcache

With TaurusSix I collected all the information lady might after dinner. The cool evening was conducive for the task. This morning we went and found the cache. An interesting place.
I decided a two day trip through the mountains would be a fun way to spend a few days. It was mostly about the drive so I only did a few caches along the way, but I was happy to get some that had eluded me on previous trips. After checking into the Golden Age Hotel I walked around town to get the location for this one. GZ was a bit of a surprise.
Thanks.

Had a great day in Omeo and this cache was perfect for having a discovery tour of the town. TFTC, much appreciated.
Caution of snakes lurking on the path on the way to final location.

Staying at our holiday house in Metung while having a week off work so I can go caching. Found this on a beautiful winters day with the sun shinning, I picked the right week to take off work. Decided to go for a drive to Omeo and pickup the caches along the way. Love the history. Giving it a fav point. Sl thanks djcache for the cache.
We finally located this one at 4:15pm after an hour and 15 minutes getting to know the main street, it was all quite interesting to ponder, maybe I shall now have to read Robbery Under Arms! Beautiful day, we decided to stay the night in the lovely camp ground. SL TFTC
Out caching with mezza74 and d@geo
We are out on a day trip to Omeo area and return to home.
And of course collecting some caches on the way.
We started this cache after having lunch at the Omeo high plains bakery.
We left the car at the bakery and walk around all the way point and final cache location.
It was a good way to see the town.
Thank you for the hide djcache

After a scrummy lunch at the bakery, hit the streets to do this one. was very interesting to read all the info boards. TFTC.
Not someone to say no to a road trip (especially with the opportunity to do some caching) headed off with gwd.aussie and mezza74 up the mountain.
After an enjoyable stretch of the legs to walk off lunch we had all the information required to work out the final coordinates. After a brief search at the gz we had cache in hand.
Thanks djcache

Photos helped as there is no longer a sign in the bank window. Great spot though!
We were out with the MX-5 Club for a weekend run through the High Country and our overnight stop was in Omeo. We had arrived quite early so I had plenty of time to wander the town to collect the answers for this and one other Multi that are based here. With all the answers collected and the other Multi found, it was just then a matter of a short walk from my hotel to the final location of this cache...although it was a little longer than I expected as there were a couple of natural obstructions in the way.
Thanks to djcache for an interesting cache with a history lesson attached.

Loved every minute of this cache. Working nearby in Swifts Creek and staying in Omeo, I arrived in town early enough to give this a go so went round all the sites and collected the relevant info. Worked out the final and took the short drive to GZ. Loved this swimming area - what a great idea, I'm sure it's popular in summer. Followed the GPS, wasn't really expecting the climbing I had to do but managed it. Found the cache in an obvious spot.
Thanks for the guided tour of Omeo's history and for putting the cache in such a great finish spot.
Fav point from me!

A quick trip around Omeo, learning about its rich history this morning. Omeo is busy on Easter Saturday due to the rodeo! However, the area around GZ was relatively quiet. What a great swimming area, and and interesting GZ. Thanks for showing it to us and for the cache.
A complete historical tour of Omeo with the bonus of a cache find at the end. Fantastic. GPS had me a bit confused at the end but the hint helped locate the cache. Thanks for the experience.
A very informative multi cache that we gathered the clues around a large bike race coming through town. Great final spot. Cache in good order, thanks for the hide!

After a lean couple of days cache finding wise, day1976 and I decided to cache our way back towards the Erica area where we would find a campsite for the night.
The final multi and a nice little walk around what was a very busy little town with a cycling event going on today. More great little history posts I found quite interesting. We drove and parked about 200 metres from GZ and after some rock hopping had the well hidden cache in hand.

Well I could not have picked a nicer day for a wander around Omeo
With a few multi-caches to chase I ended up with a guided tour of the towne [^]
My stroll took me from one end of towne to the other, which isn't far
And this multi-cache connected quite nicely with another multi-cache.
So at the end of my stroll I had not one, but two GZ's to head for
This cache was closer and so I strolled off down the hill to find it.
What a lovely area down by the riverside
The swimming hole looks muddy, but cooling.
Pity the diving board has been removed !!
And after a bit more of a stroll around I got close to GZ.
A short scramble around got me closer.
I avoided wet feet and soon had the cache in paw.
What an interesting location too !!
Few touristas, just passing through would ever visit here !!
Thanks for the cache to guide me here today

Find #778 logged at GZ at 12:10, will update shortly.... T4TC djcache!
It was unseasonably warm, so my week up at Hotham did not involve skiing. I decided to head out early and drive to Lakes Entrance to visit a friend, and collect some caches along the way of course.
I enjoyed the short circuit of the town and learned a lot. I was surprised at where GZ was, and as a result spent much more time on this cache than I'd wanted, since I did it all on foot. That said, the final location is certainly interesting.

What a great way to see the town. Found with taurus1955 and BentleyTB on a trip around the Omeo district today. I found the easier way to this cache. TFTC
Bit of maintenance. Cache has been replaced (again) and hasn't moved more than a metre or two from it's original location. I've reaveraged the coords but need to check against the final. I don't anticipate any need to change them. I'll update the hint. Happy Hunting.
Need a new strategy on this one. Will have to replace it and rejig the multi for a new GZ.

Had a wonderful walk around Omeo it is a very pretty place that has retained a lot of it character and heritage. Had a great time visiting the different locations and learning about some of the people, buildings and history of the area. They must have been a hardy lot.
Collected the numbers and worked out the co-ordinates for GZ and headed off to yet another very interesting spot. Searched and searched around GZ, found a few spots one in particular that I thought would be it but all were empty. Increased the radius of the search area but still no sign of it. There has been some flooding in the area and a few of the banks have subsided. Will leave this on the to do list, this place deserves a much longer visit. Thanks for you effort on this one djcache, great fun. We’ll be back.

Stayed in Omeo at the Golden Age whilst in the area. Went for a walk at around 8.30pm to collect all the clues. Was quiet and a bit cool in town but there was a clear sky and lots of stars out. Good to have a bit of peace in a town I really like. Drove down to area near GZ this morning but there looked to be a bit of work happening in the area. Was muddy so decided to check this out on my next visit.
Omeo is my home town - coming up for an Easter visit but wont have time for this cache - saving it for another visit - something interesting, I use to live in the Manse !! and also opposite the cemetery I love my home town !!
Now I'm back from the NT & WA I'll go up and take a look in the next few weeks.

Hi all
Chewinprickles rang me from Omeo today & I'm pretty certain - though not absolutely sure that this one is missing. I'm working away from home at present. If if hasn't had a find logged in the next few weeks or so I'll go and visit it.

Dissapointed not to get a smiley at the end of this cache but despite that I think it highlights Omeo very well and the end location is well worth the visit. In fact I have a photo of the said location in a 4WD book and always wanted to see it but never quite knew where it was. Now I do!
I reckon I'll give this one a vote as a favourite despite not coming up trumps with a cache and hopefully next time I'm here I'll get it then.
I'll bang a watch on it so I know when the deed is done and if the location changes significantly perhaps you'd be kind enough to let me know the new location so I won't have to run through it again.
Thanks DJ.
PS: It seems I can't make this a favourite unless I log a find, which obviously I can't, so it will have to wait untill it's fixed.

I'll check on it next time I'm up this way. It can't get washed away any more. It's not in it's original hiding spot which is why the hint changed.
I don't anticipate any chance of muggling in this location but anything's possible. Hopefully it'll get logged before I make a trip up there.

Thanks for the cache, which we enjoyed finding all the answers to. Unfortunately the cache was not in its place. Its possibly been washed away.
Dissapointed at not being able to find this one after an enjoyable tour of the historic sights around the town.
(its taken me a while to log this one..... ) i never found this cache but i had great fun collecting all the clues which i was writing down on the printed clue sheet. I was going along well enjoying finding about the history of omeo when i went into the historic park to have a look around. My partner had gone up to pat a goat that was tethered to a stake, so i went up to say hello to the goat too. The goat took one look at me, eyed off my geocaching clues and before i knew it he had grabbed them out of my hand and proceeded to gobble them up!!! Horrors! all that time spent collecting the coordinates... gone down a goats stomach! i never even knew goats ate paper but i had to laugh. i managed to salvage some small scraps of paper and have a guess at where the cache was from memory but i never found anything. Still a very memorable caching experience though.
Had a great time walking around Omeo picking up the clues.
GZ was found without to much trouble, interesting site for a cache.
Thanks for the effort you put into this cache.

#251 Found at 2.45pm (or was that 1.45pm - didn't change my watch with DayLight Savings ending). After obtaining the co-ords and GZ on a previous visit (which had been muggled at that time) we decided to complete this one and finally put it to bed. GeoPrincess spotted GZ and Dad grabbed the cache.

An enjoyable stroll/drive around some of the history of Omeo on a cool morning. I actually printed off the cache page more than 2 years ago but never got here at the time. Little has changed since! I thought that I was on the wrong side at GZ but spotted the hide before I crossed over. An enjoyable cache thanks djcache.
Very slight change of location. Not more than 2 m from original GZ, which with the EPE's commonly experienced hee won't be an issue. I've averaged a new waypoint for GZ and will update it when back home on a full size keyboard. In the mean time the updated hint won't see you go home empty handed if your calcs were correct.

Logging this one now as a find with permission from the owner after discussions that the cache may have gone AWOL. As I mentioned in the DNF really enjoyed this cache and the walk around town. Thanks!
Had great fun running around town collecting the co-ords. Dad did the running initially to obtain the relevant clues which took us to a location that looked an awful lot like private property and no rock wall to be seen. That could mean only one thing - we had to go back to town to check were we had gone wrong. This time the Queen was cast asunder and had to run around to check answers & found we were off in a couple of the trickier co-ord clues (thats what happens when you rush!!). Went to GZ and looked and looked and looked and climbed all over the place - we nearly got not only our feet wet but the rest of us as well. However we had to relent and decided that the cache may not be there any longer.
Still a great way to take in the history of this town and the interesting sites. Thanks for bringing us back here.

It was quite disappointing in the end not to find this one . Enjoyed the tour of town and then went to the park. A few people swimming and then over to GZ which was a very interesting feature- I assume I had the right spot but no cache. Thanks for the tour though.
TFTC.
Found with Bruiser and Derf. They did the walk and i found the cache. Team work.
There is Water here but probably no fish.

We had the need to dial a friend on this one.But we enjoyed our walk up the hill behind the cache. Which answer was wrong ? Some one else has made the mistake as well as there was a fair amount of foot prints and chook scratches around what we thought was GZ. We know which one was wrong and a quick check as we left town proved what we had expected. Missed by that much !!!!

Geo-son thought this was one of the best spots we've come across yet. We had the co-ords all ready from answering all the q's the night before, and set of by ourselves. Please we didn't bring geo-grandparents on this one. They would have screamed at me for sending their geo-grandson of into the unknown.
A delightful tour of a pretty town. We were very careful/cautious doing this one, knowing one number wrong could have us just anywhere!!! Fairly quiet and smoky from the recent Black Satruday bushfires. No difficulty finding it, although the GPS reading was about 7 metres out.

We put this on the to do list if we had time on the way home. Although we were pushing it a bit we stopped anyway and it didn't take us too long to complete. With a careful eye and some fancy thumb work while Rhino drove we stopped at all locations in record time. I pushed it a bit too far and stuffed up one number though. Rhino was thinking properly and walked us straight to the cache and made the find.
Thanks DJ for the very informative multi and to Muzza for doing his bit for the broader caching community, much appreciated.

Found 17/11/2008 15:29. Find #31 of 31 on my Over the Hills - an Earthcache Adventure trip with Team Rubik
This cache has been on my to do list since it was listed but I've never had the available time despite visiting Omeo quite a few times. No problems today and after collecting all the information the cache was found despite Team Rubik's best efforts to lead us astray [:p]

P.S. Thanks to Muzza for replacing the cache for us to get a post-replacement FTF

I enjoyed the informative walk around town gathering the required answers. Once I'd calculated GZ, I headed there, but was greeted by a lid with DJ's Geocache note on it. It didn't look good. At GZ I had a look, but, surprise surprise, there was nothing to be found.
Unfortunately I couldn't get any mobile phone coverage, so I had to return to town. I rang DJ (who was out somewhere fishing) to confirm where it was originally hidden. I was then able to replace the cache with a small 200 ml Sistema container with just a log book and a pen - sorry, I had no swaps to leave. I placed the original cache lid on top of it.
Thanks DJ for an enjoyable walk around town, and for placing the cache originally.

Found with hiker3 whilst heading back from a walk. I dropped hiker3 off at WP1 and got some fuel, then worked my way back up the street. We met about halfway and went down to GZ. There were muggles everywhere, including some of the four-legged variety who were enjoying the water immensely!
The cache was found at an interesting location, but it was quite wet inside. Unfortunately I didn't have a spare container with me so couldn't replace.
TNLN. Thanks for showing me about this fascinating little town!

Found this cache after a very nice walk around Omeo - Track download to PC looks like I was lost going across the road then back then down the up then down........ but finally got all the information and headed to the Cache point which was found after a small search. GPS was around 8m from actual point so OK and found cache OK - BUT the cache was full of water with the logbook really wet so a new cache box may need to installed here I think. TNLN
enjoyed the walk through town, The weather got bad near the pool so decided to leave until another day.
Introduced the inlaws to geocaching with this gem of a multicache. The history of the area is great and the signs fascinating. The Omeo Rodeo was on, the town was in festive mood.
We got one answer wrong and after climbing a nearby hill and realising our error a phonecall to djcache confirmed our mistake. (Many thanks djcache!) Based on his help we worked out which clue was wrong, went back to the waypoint and got the right answer (our own fault for being lazy and not crossing the road!). The GZ coordinates were spot on and found it no problem.
Left finger puppet. Took star punch.
Then on to an afternoon at the Omeo rodeo which was a fantastic day out. I recommend anyone in the area try this cache.
Thanks djcache

We were in Bright to do the fireworks for their spring festival and thought this could be a good detour. A 200k drive through Gods own country and a DJ Cache multi we were certain it would be worth it, we were not disappointed. We have visited Omeo on many occasions but more to fuel up and go. This is the first time we have had a really good look around this fascinating little town. After we collected the answers we headed off to GZ and were surprised to find that this cache has been here for 5 months and now has had 2 visits in less than 24 hours.

A delightful walk around town, the locals have gone out of their way to share their colourful past with visitors.
A little suprised we were the FTF on this one - amazed really!!!!
Cache is in good condition and co-ords spot on.
GZ was a feature we weren't aware of.
After the tour it was off for an icecream and on to camp on the Mitta Mitta river.
Nice one
