The Cyprus pine GZ was hidden under is long gone.
The slide which was the main purpose of bringing you to the park and an integral part of the clues, has been vandalised (burnt to the ground).
The entire playground is being redeveloped over the Winter of 2009 (as a result of the vandalism).
Maybe after the redevelopment has finished, we can look at replacing this cache.

Used all the red pyramids, without luck. Then just went on a search for what the clue mentions, but couldn't find any of those either within a few hundred metres.
Then I had a good cry, and cheered myself up by buying a Mr Whippy or whatever Mr Whippy's get called these days.
Then I continued my caching afternoon and found the next two, so things looked up.
TFTC I suppose....

I believe one piece of the puzzle has been burnt out and the cache itself maybe muggled
Hmm. Couldn't calculate coords due to the work at the playground, but we had a wander around likely hiding spots, then got some help from Landsergruppe.
After searching quite a large area and playing with Caleb (he had plenty of fun!), came across a car, a glue stick, ziploc bag, and then a black Sistema container opened and exposed. It looks like it's been open for a while.
We took what was left and there was no sign of a log...
The area around the contents is full of rubbish at the moment, so it needs some major renovations!
Thanks for bringing us here.

There is more than one red pyramid which makes this confusing. After rechecking calculations we did find this cache. TFTC
Found in the company of TeamDunko. We did all the calculations and somehow ended up in the wrong spot - I guess we used the wrong red pyramid too. We used the clue to find GZ and were happy that we got there in the end. Swapped some swaps and dropped in The Great White Hike TB to continue it's journey. TFTC.
Very glad to now have this cache sorted. Arrived in the daytime this time; just and found that there are in fact three red pyramids and we were obviously looking at the wrong one. Seems also that one of my many phone calls last trip had us searching in the correct place too but that time we didn't find it. This time we did thankfully and of course thanks to you for the considerable help with the details. Nice park and nice to see in in daylight too. Especially interesting are the old traffic lights in the car park.
Thanks pandpp for the challenge and cache.
Thanks pandpp for the challenge and cache.
As Chewin' explained we had been here before at night and completely missed the other two red pyramids. Armed with new numbers we tried again, a little more successfully.
It is a great park and an interesting play area.
Loved the old traffic lights. I had only seen clocks like this when I was a kid, I think down on Nepean Highway, near the beach.
Thanks, Robmc.

[We did all the calculations for this one to discover that where we ended up made no sense, so on our way back to re-do the calculations we cracked open the hint, did a bit of a random search & came up with the goods.]
[TNLNSL TFTC, find #289 for Echo & Spice.]
For anyone wondering, the "pine" is a cyprus.

Perhaps not a good one to do at night. We came up with some figures that obviously were wrong and 3 phone calls yeilded 3 different possible locations so after spending a lot of time we had to admit defeat. Could you please or would you consider emailing some answers so I can see where we went wrong??
What a great park, the kids absolutely loved it!!

Yay, finally
we really weren't overly sure about the bearing thing but took a lucky punt and found it.
The box was well and truly exposed, have tried hiding it a little better this time.
1st of 4 for today on a road trip to Frankston and back!

Lived here 25 years and watched this cache for 18 months but finally went and found it. There are some advantages in walking the dog. Thanks to weight loss, dog walking and pandpp for this one.

More than anything we didn't trust our bearing reading for the red pyramid!!! It was also getting dark!
Will come back with an actual real-life compass!!!!

Found on the second attempt, first time there were too many people around, but this time all went well.

After a revisit today we looked bit harder and there it was, about 5m off from my gps coord. it was well hidden. Thanks 38 degrees south for confirming the coords! TNLN SL TFTC!
I only live less than 1km from the park and went and looked for twice in 2 different possible final GZ for over an hour but after several splinters in my fingers I quit. This is my 1st DNF but overall I enjoyed the walk in the park and had a good experience, and would definately come back again. (i may need help though)
We too ended up in the middle of an oval on our first attempt at finding GZ! Luckily we had kept in our minds a 'just in case this doesn't work' answer to one of the questions, and once that was applied we headed to a more likely GZ and made a quick find. TNLN & SL at 3:15pm. TFTC!
A challenging multi that I took great care over before heading to my projected GZ where lo and behold the cache lay. Thanks pandpp.
Had fun trying to find this one. 1st goecache found! Lots of people around cos of Mothers day.
Found @ 10:00. Collected all the clues and went to GZ but found myself in the middle of the footy field. Back to the start. Found I counted one of the clues wrong. Take 2 and this time right at GZ for a quick find, well at least after I got the clues right. TFTC. TNLNSL

A nice park.. But the red pyramid was the biggest trouble.. A little unclear as there is many red pyramids around.. We had to re calculate over and over and eventually found the cache.. Thanks for the cache..

We visited here today and tried to find this cache between the rain showers.
I know we need the rain but must it happen when we are on a bike geocaching?
Like most others we struggled with WP 1 and in the end we ignored it and tried with just the other info from the other points.
Of course the other points don't give up enough info to work out GZ so we decoded the clue.
We found an item mentioned in the clue but no cache was to be found.
Now reading back over others' logs we learn that the clue is not as useful as we had presumed so we will have to look with different intent when next we are here.

Dear pandpp,
We found your cache today at 12:45pm as the fourth of nine on our Bay Cache Day. We got together the clues and were a bit worried about trying to locate the cache after not spotting it in the first few of minutes. A lucky break though, when checking out a spot nearby and I accidentally flicked the cache with my finger. This is one cache that our youngest member would have really enjoyed and we will have to return soon. Thanks for the cache.
Kind Regards,
D & H B-A

Difficult today with many muggle parents and children at the playground - hard to look inconspicuous, and as always I got very suspicious looks. Found the answers to the first two clues alright but couldn't find anything that looked remotely like ears. Plugged in a few possible numbers and worked out what it had to be. Went to two locations, but no cache, and nothing matching the clue. Found the spot matching the clue and the cache without referring to the GPS. The count of tube segments must have changed. Took nothing, left Dragon Puzzle. Thanks.
Another good little park that you would not normally find in your travels. Wish I was a kid again. WPT1 was confusing, we though we had it right however we ended up in the middle of a flat grassed area. Hmmm, consulted the clue. Like BackPAQer we swerved a little off the track and headed for the obvious. Found at 1504.
Took puzzle.

We happened to be heading past this area on our way home from fishing further down the bay so I thought I'd take the opportunity to grab this one. I was familiar with the area having played baseball against Bonbeach Baseball Club which occupies part of the park a little beyond GZ. Initially I was a bit bemuddled by the 1st clue, but eventually the penny dropped and all was plain sailing after that . All-in-all, I thought it was a well designed multi in a very nice position .

Plenty of people about. I particularly like the pedestrian crossing . Found OK. T: Marigold seeds L: Cute Koala. At first I didn't add the last piece of the tube as a "tube segment"...it's just the end...but as I found myself not heading towards anything "piney" looking, I quickly recalibrated, little swerve to the left and headed right for the obvious.
Found 10:15, the first clue was some what ambiguous given the number of red pyramids [xx(] in the end we found the cache mainly with the aid of the clue.
TNLN, thanks pandpp.
TNLN, thanks pandpp.
The only info I had any problems with was wp1, but my gps told me to use the one closest to wp2 and that turned out OK. They are cypress(!) but otherwise an easy enough find. Took Shell, Left tiny beercan. Thanks pandpp for the cache.
Found at 2.35pm GAFF1. Another nice park with not many people about due to the rain. Found the cache in the exact spot that the GPS was pointing to which was a relief as we weren't sure about the yellow tube question. Thanks pandpp. Took:Highlighter, Left: Packet of seeds.
Like others before us we remember when these nearby controllers were in use not far away on Nepean highway, although when we were kids we didn't see them with the added lights underneath. We enjoyed collecting the required information although WPT 1 had us stumped for a little while as we interpreted the question incorrectly. With all the information gathered we were off to gz for a nice easy find

[Last of fifteen finds for the day in company with acts2youthgroup. I was surprised to see the ancient traffic controllers on the way to this cache. I remember when they were in use at Bonbeach and Carrum stations, not all that long ago. I used to live in Frankston, and I saw them (and was controlled by them) twice every day on my way to and from work. I had wondered what had happened to them. In an incredible coincidence, I was in town on the following day to log "Chopsticks", and I saw another set of these antiques at the RACV building in Bourke Street!
Anyhow, on to the cache. We gathered the numbers. Fortunately, my GPSr took us directly to a certain red pyramid, so we got the bearing to that one easily. We had a discussion about the number of slide sections, but agreed on a number for it. When we got to our calculated GZ, we couldn't find the cache. We cracked the hint, but it seemed to indicate that we were not at the correct place. I rang Muzza to confirm that we had the correct numbers--we had. Hmmmmm! The hint mentions a] big pine, [but it's a] cypress, there are two of them, not one, and neither is bigger than the other. [This caused us some confusion, but when Muzza confirmed that our numbers were correct, we looked harder and came up with it at 1335. Thanks to pandpp for the cache.

Sixteenth of eighteen finds for the day in company with Dak Emu. This was a great park that I would never have known about if not for Geo Caching. I would also have never known the history of the traffic lights and the fact that they were once in service. We had the numbers gathered and of to GZ where at first we failed to locate the well hidden cache, we cracked the hint but that did not fit my botanical interpretation so Dak gave Muzza a call who confirmed we were at the correct spot; the cache was located soon after by Dak. Thanks for showing us this location.
Been to this giant slide many times and watched this park upgraded a few times in 4 years to a fantastic family park to be proud of.After a fish and chip lunch feast in the middle of 100 revellers on things we decided it was time to do the maths .A real teaser it is too, with many places you can incorrectly calculate calculations. After 10 mins of maths and 15 mins of a search we finally hit the tricky well camouflaged hide.Farmerboy Lincoln took the Simpsons Flanders figure and put in horse figurine.Great cache, exciting kids park, even weekend pony rides and a top maths challenge that will stump many and well done to pandpp for the cache invite !!
Found by Mary & David at 1400. What a great park, but we had dreadful trouble at WP1. Our GZ put us in the middle of a host of red pyramids - which one to choose? We pondered for a while then tried them in sequence after gathering the remaining clues. We still weren't having much luck, but after comparing notes with an earlier finder, we did the sums again and found the cache in short order. Took teddy bear stickers, left Simpsons figurine. Also left "Albida 05 2006 Jan Signal" geocoin/TB. Our thanks to pandpp.
It was close to lunch time and the GPS showed I was going past the cache location so I decided to stop and search for the answers.
After gathering all the clues needed I headed for the GZ and with spot on coordinates the cache was found and logged.
Many thanks pandpp for the cache and a great place for a break, must bring the kids to this location soon.

I arrived at the car park this morning, then realised that the cache sheet was not in my PDA, and being a multi this meant there was no point in staying. Once I'd finished the other caches on my list down the peninsula, I headed for a local library where I was able to print the cache details for my return visit.
By the time I returned it was close to dusk, so I quickly gathered the required answers and headed to GZ. After searching around for a while I was unable to find it, so I headed back to my car for a torch and to decrypt the clue. It appears I was in the right area but hadn't checked the actual spot itself. With the aid of a torch and the hint, I was able to find the cache. No swap was made. Thanks for the cache.

2nd find out of 5 for the day on our usual weekly outing. Saw this one pop up and felt like a drive, took a bit to work out the bearing clue and we played a bit with the numbers as I couldn't get an exact reading, but after some head scratching and trying out the different variations of the final co-ords it was an easy find. Another FTF for me.
