Spent some time looking THEN checked the log. Doh!
From all the empty cans and bottles around in guessing some kids or homeless people frequently hang out here as well so not the best place for a large cache

Given the size of the container, the location of the hide and the raft of DNFs; I'm pretty sure this one's gone.
I am either blind, or this is gone-burger !
Still, the walk was good and the weather was nice, just no cache to be found at GZ.

Was really excited about finding this one, but unfortunately today was not the day. Double checked a few spots but with no luck

I might have been blind but I could not find it. Looked both sides but could not find it.
The family had a nice walk along the beach to find this large container. Nice spot for a cache. TFTC.
though slightly damp and sandy.Another case of Night caching and soon had it in hand. Getting a bit cool tonight so not sure how long I will carry on this lark

Quick find. Thanks. the log book was very wet and the pen didn't work on the wet paper. I used a pencil but even then it really only scratched the paper rather than writing on it. The rest of the cache is in good condition. TFTC

found it some muggles were hanging around GZ the geo grandkid and i kept walking came back passed that way again half hour later all was clear at GZ found cache signed a damp log book replaced the cache and left TFTC

Got here on a quiet sunny morning and was able to quickly find after the lone dog walker had left the area.
A nice quiet spot with a grand view. Cache is damp, most of it, wrote log with pencil as this writes on wet paper. TFTC
Somebody was hanging around this one while I was there. I wasn't sure if he was another geocacher or a suspicious muggle. If it was the former, my apologies for not saying hello properly. After a while he seemed to have left so I was able to make the find. TFTC.

Was surprised at the amount of water inside the cache. Emptied out as much as I could but everything was very wet, including the logbook.
Got to GZ, retrieved what needed, them muggled by a dog - the look of 'terrier' 
on my face must have been priceless! Fortunately owner a fair few yards behind, so was able to scurry away, sign log and return shortly after...so no need to 'hound' me...

I had a one day trip to Wellington for a job at Seaview, which took muck less time than planned. So I moved my flight to Christchurch back to an earlier time but still had time to stop and look for some along the way back to the airport. This being a decent size container appealed more than some of the micros along this strip. A pleasant stroll along from the carpark with great views, and a few muggles with dogs. Luckily none of them were near GZ and it was a nice quick find. Dropped in a TB and coin from Australia. Thanks foxnsox, a beautiful spot with great views.
quick find along this end of the beach. Spent alot time at petone over the years but never been to this end It is well set out and very interesting to wander thro' Thanks for bringing me here. pity I couldnn't find its nearby mate!

Parked the campervan for the night and went for a bike ride through Petone. Very easy find. The geocoin is not in the cache. As you can see that one cacher has mentioned that he took the geocoin, He/she only made the mistake to classify this as a discovery. The cacher hasn't been online for a while, so I assume the geocoin is missing.
Easy find. Great location. Geocoin missing. Taking happy runner tb on summer holiday travels. TFTC
