Logs
We came for a search but no luck for us today. Reading other logs would suggest cache is missing in action.
found what remains of the cache. well the lid anyway and some very damp geoinstructions damply stuch to the inside. previous logs indicate this has been out of action for a while now. nom log to sign.
looked at the comments and decided to visit anyway had a look around but there has been some clearing of bush done, don't know if its been muggled or if i just didnt find it
Searched around the coordinates area, but found nothing. Recent activity might suggest this cache is gone with a flood or with ground work, but a beautiful area to sit back to ponder and watch the world go by.
Recent activity might suggest this cache is gone with a flood or with ground work.
Rummaged around a fair bit, gpsr coords bang on, and perfect 2l container hiding spot found, but no sign of the cache. Lots of recent clearing and replanting, so likely gone as per previous did-not-find logs. Also, gorse, which makes Diziet go "grrrrrrrrrrrraarrr" which is only briefly entertaining.
Found the spot all right, as I frequently run around this area. However I could not find the cache. Alas, I suspect it has been muggled. Beautiful spot though.
We found the area ok, but could not find the cahce. We suspect from the previous logs that this has been muggled. Was a really lovely walk though, and was on the way to another cache, so not a waste.
Couldn't find this one, looked for half an hour. Nice spot - though shame about all the litter. Note this one can be driven to.
13/9/09 @ 1725hrs #95 - took the bush walk option and walked right past the spot we had been only 30mins prior searching for the sunny days cache [GC1MDTP] alas we continued up the hill to arrived at too muggles sucking face, thinking we could nab the find while they preoccupied themselves,we proceeded to look for the cache, unfortunately two grown adults rummaging around in the bushes was far too interesting. We made the find but suspect as soon as we left then would have gone for a nosie. TFTC and hopefully it is still there . Cheers Ammie & Shane
We had been to Sunny Days cache and after some walking around retrieved car and drove closer. Then realised we could have had a round trip and visited the pavilion after finding the cache. Never mind a nice walk for another day. Beautiful weather, a great view and younger ( and older) members of the team stretched their legs up the zigzag. TFTC TNLN SL
6/09/2009 13:57 Found: Simple walk to a great lookout. More lookouts way up the hill for those that want strenuous walks. -Duck +Cats eye. TFTC.
Met the rest of the team after taking the vehicular path. Recommend this method!?
had some great pizza at the local woodfire pizza eattery. took the zig zag path, what a mission, but made it.
Visiting Wellington after a 30 year absence. Now living in Montana, USA. Nice walk up from “Sunny Days†Looks like some recent clearing work and new fences. Clue still worked for me. Great view on a blustery winter day. Left a US quarter. TFTC
I came up from the bottom after working in the area - its one of those ones that says 80m to go but every zig in the track only takes you a metre further. Really nice spot though and it didn't really take long to get there at all. TFTC (588)
Got a "round tuit" after looking for this earlier in the year. Great view, thanks for bringing me here.
Have unknowingly walked past this one before, so good to add it to the done list.TFTC Left Miranda's Purple Round Tuit Geocoin
I opted for the walk up through the bush option. The track was blocked (very recently?) by a fallen tree, but I managed to figure out a detour. The reward for my efforts was a fabulous view. Cache was found without difficulty. TFTC.
Found with no problems on a walk after afternoon coffee on the beachfront on a perfect Wellington afternoon. The hint was still good despite the changes and planting in the area. Took Nordkapp Geocoin. Great view from here. Signed log, TFTC
As mentioned a month back, you need to update your clue by removing the words "look past the tree, " since it isn't there any more...
Took one of the many "home made" tracks. The area has been newly developed and looks nice. Swapped TBs
Quick find. came the easy way by car up the road. - London Taxi rubber, + Koala bear TFTC
We tried from the bottom, had a lovely stroll through the bush, then realised that the kids were all hungry and this may take a bit longer than we thought.
Retired to the pizza bar and had a yummy lunch looking over the windy harbour and city, and marvelling that there was hardly anyone around!
After a trip further around the bay we came back and this time drove to the top of the hill and got out to get this treasure.
Took bouncy ball
Left taxi rubber

Finally got around to it! I lived just down the road for 20 years or so before moving to Christchurch so knew exactly where I was going.

Day finely cleared after starting out revolting. This was our 4th cache for the day. Feeling great.

[great afternoon walk - esp. if you go on the] ridge [track, and then decide 50m before the turnoff to the lookout, that you've gone the wrong way. Oh well, walked twice as far as necessary, and got fit going up the zig zag instead, and then realised my mistake as I came back down by the duck pond. Great view - good job they never cut down THAT tree. + Geocoin, transistor, NZ 1 cent coin. - duck. TFTC ]
The Yeetrees are not scare of a little bit of a walk - took the zig then the zag then the zig then the zag, zig, zag, zig zag, zig and finally the zag - got to the top then realised that i could have driven around. Never mind great exercise machine. Love the view. Time to go back down now to the car should be much easier. TFTC TNLNSL
Jr taybee has this own account how am logging this old find under his new Username (Jr taybee) was log as part of taybee team
Was going to take the walk up the zigzag steps, but the Fairy half wasn't up to it, so managed to find the road to drive up there. Awesome views, but very windy.. Thanks for the cache..
This is my first New Zealand find! A nice easy one, left a Prague tram ticket and a British train ticket- some foreign souvenirs!
Found this one very quick. Was nearly a drive in

Well we tried to drive there by making the GPS follow roads and the darling little device decided to take us up the zigzag. Unfortunately the car wouldn't fit so we resorted to getting a bit of air in the lungs with a thankful rest at the top to contemplate the instructions.

Forgot to log finding this. Took my father-in-law for his first Geocache. Odd for me as this was the first one I have done without the kids. I have decided I prefer it with the kids so will have to revisit this with them. TFTC
Sylvia, Donna and I hiked up from the back side. Easy find with the clue. Returned by the duck pond.

An easy find after lunch at the nearby beach. Lovely spot. Took the car right up next to the cache to avoid the steep walk. + geocoin
This was our very first cache, and it was fun, fun, fun! ) Loved your cache size, where cache hunters can put all sorts of goodies in it!
We sat on the seat many times in the past and never knew that there was a hidden cache there all along!
As we were not prepared we came back later to put in goodies and found a geocoin!
Thanks.

Cool cache, nice bike ride out there despite the weather. Took nothing, left I love Australia TB. Cheers for the excuse to head out to what would obviously be a very nice place given better weather.
Back again ... with an augmented team.
Found it ... underneath a different 'tree' to the one we'd been searching under.
Took: Travel Bug 305234 (Cactus Bob); and GeoCoin KG4BWR.
Left: Colourful bubble kit; and 'bon bon' of fluoro coloured elastics.

We made three approaches ... footpaths from park (around and around), steep zig-zag paved path from road, and later the road itself.
Found area (3m according to GPS), seat, and lamp-post (we think) ... but searching at nearby tree-bases revealed nothing (except some rubbish items, broken glass, and lots of scattered condoms and their wrappers).
We'll have to come back again some other day.

Picked up from Loop view foxton but tracking number not recorded. Much fuss before getting correct number and logging properly [:o)]
Great place for a rest! Found it with a friend (and perhaps future convert) from the UK!
Thanks for placing it!

The track starting from the pond is closed due to a very large slip. Cache can still be accessed via Zig Zag path or by road.
Nice easy find after a tight drive up some pretty narrow streets (was feelin lazy today!). Out - mini car kit, In - golf set. Cheers......
Took the zig zag track, should of checked the map better!
Cache was partially out of it's hidey-hole and easily visible when approached so took care to conceal it again.
Signed log, no swaps.

Took the zig-zag route, found cache without too much trouble. Good spot. Took 22 yr old daughter with us who surprisingly enjoyed it and wanted to go and find more! TNLNSL.
Pacific Rose found this one . That zig zag path sure is a challenge! BTW don't try to take the Duck Pond track back if you are in a hurry. It's closed by a slip, but only signposted when you're nearly at the bottom.
